Abstract
B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) is a heterogeneous leukemia subgroup. It has multiple sub-types that are likely to be classified by prognostic factors. Following a systematic literature review, this study analyzed the genes correlated with BCP-ALL prognosis ( IKZF1, PAX5, EBF1, CREBBP, CRLF2, JAK2, ERG, CXCR4, ZAP70, VLA4, NF1, NR3C1, RB1, TSLP, ZNRF1, and FOXO3A) , specifically their nucleotide variations and expression profiles in pediatric BCP-ALL samples. The study included 45 pediatric BCP-ALL patients with no cytogenetic anomaly and a control group of 10 children. The selected genes' hot-spot regions were sequenced using next-generation sequencing, while Polymorphism Phenotyping v2 and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program were used to identify pathogenic mutations. The expression analysis was performed using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. The mutation analysis detected 328 variants (28 insertions, 47 indels, 74 nucleotide variants, 75 duplications, and 104 deletions). The most and least frequently mutated genes were IKZF1 and CREBBP , respectively. There were statistically significant differences between patients and controls for mutation distribution in eight genes ( ERG, CRLF2, CREBBP, TSLP, JAK2, ZAP70, FOXO3A, and NR3C1 ). The expression analysis revealed that JAK and ERG were significantly overexpressed in patients compared with controls (respectively, p = 0.004 and p = 0.003). This study combined genes and pathways previously analyzed in pediatric BCP-ALL into one dataset for a comprehensive analysis from the same samples to unravel candidate prognostic biomarkers. Novel mutations were identified in all of the studied genes.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Incontinentia pigmenti (IP) is a rare X-linked dominant disorder affecting the skin and other ectodermal tissues that is caused by a mutation of the IKBKG/NEMO gene.
Case presentation
We describe a Turkish family with IP. Sanger sequencing was performed in our patient with IP, and we identified DNA variant c.172_173delAA (p.Asn58SerfsTer79) in IKBKG. We found the same mutation in the patient's mother and grandmother.
Conclusion
Our report expands the mutation spectrum in this disorder and provides valuable information on the importance of the IKBKG. Our study shows that confirmation of the mutation analysis of IP in the suspected cases is necessary for future planning pregnancies.

Abstract
Background/aim Macrothrombocytopenia is an autosomal-dominant disorder characterized by increased platelet size and a decreased number of circulating platelets. The membrane skeleton and the link between actin filaments of the skeleton and microtubules, which consist of alpha and beta tubulin [including the tubulin beta-1 chain (TUBB1)] heterodimers, are important for normal platelet morphology, and defects in these systems are associated with macrothrombocytopenia. Materials and methods In this study, we sequenced the exons of the TUBB1 gene using DNA isolated from the peripheral blood samples of healthy controls (n = 47) and patients with macrothrombocytopenia (n = 37) from Turkey. The TUBB1 expression levels in fractioned blood samples from patients and healthy controls were analyzed by RT-qPCR and Western blot. Microtubule organization of the platelets in the peripheral blood smears of patients, and in mutant TUBB1-transfected HeLa cells, were analyzed by immunofluorescence staining. Results A new TUBB1 c.803G>T (p.T178T) variant was detected in all of the control and patient samples. Importantly, we found 3 new heterozygous TUBB1 variants predicting amino acid substitutions: G146R (in 1 patient), E123Q (in 1 patient), and T274M (in 4 patients); the latter variant was associated with milder thrombocytopenia in cancer patients treated with paclitaxel. Ectopic expression of TUBB1 T274M/R307H variant in HeLa cells resulted in irregular microtubule organization. Conclusion Further clinical and functional studies of the newly identified TUBB1 variants may offer important insights into their pathogenicity in macrothrombocytopenia.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Congenital afibrinogenemia is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by bleeding that varies from mild to severe and by complete absence or extremely low levels of plasma and platelet fibrinogen. Hypofibrinogenemia is characterized by fibrinogen levels <1.5 g/L. OBJECTIVE In this study, we analyzed fibrinogen beta chain gene mutations in Turkish afibrinogenemia and hypofibrinogenemia patients. METHODS We evaluated 20 afibrinogenemia and hypofibrinogenemia patients and 80 healthy controls. We have sequenced all exons of the FGB gene using the DNA isolated from the peripheral blood samples of patients and controls. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION We found a nonsense mutation in exon 4 at nucleotide 630 that encoded serine amino acid, and in the same exon a missense mutation of T to C at nucleotide 647, resulting in a transition from leucine to proline (p.L198P) in a child with hypofibrinogenemia. These mutations have been shown for the first time in the same patient of Turkish descent. Furthermore, there was a novel heterozygous guanine-to-adenine nucleotide change in exon 3. This caused the change of arginine amino acid to threonine amino acid at position 136 (p.A136T) in a protein, which has not been described in the literature before.

Abstract

In this study we aim to determine the genotype distribution and allele frequencies of common TPMT (*2, *3A, *3B and *3C) polymorphisms in Turkish children with acute leukemia. The study population consisted of 169 patients aged between 1 and 15 years who were admitted to Losante Pediatric Hematology and Children`s Hospital with the diagnosis of acute leukemia. Genotyping of TPMT polymorphisms was screened with real-time PCR using fluorescence melting curve detection analysis. We found that the frequencies of four allelic variants of TPMT are *2 (238 G > C) (0,0%), *3A (460G > A and 719A > G) (1.7%), *3B (460G > A) (1,7%) and *3C (719A > G) (2.4%). Frequency of TPMT alleles increases the efficacy of leukemia treatment. Thus, TPMT genotyping can be useful for optimizing 6-MP therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tetranucleotide Short Tandem Repeats (STRs) for human identification and common use in forensic cases have recently been used to address the population genetics of the North-Eastern Mediterranean area. However, to gain confidence in the inferences made using STRs, this kind of analysis should be challenged with changes in three main aspects of the data, i.e. the sizes of the samples, their distance across space and the genetic background from which they are drawn. AIM To test the resilience of the gradients previously detected in the North-Eastern Mediterranean to the enlargement of the surveyed area and population set, using revised data. SUBJECTS AND METHODS STR genotype profiles were obtained from a publicly available database (PopAffilietor databank) and a dataset was assembled including >7000 subjects from the Arabian Peninsula to Scandinavia, genotyped at eight loci. Spatial principal component analysis (sPCA) was applied and the frequency maps of the nine alleles which contributed most strongly to sPC1 were examined in detail. RESULTS By far the greatest part of diversity was summarised by a single spatial principal component (sPC1), oriented along a SouthEast-to-NorthWest axis. The alleles with the top 5% squared loadings were TH01(9.3), D19S433(14), TH01(6), D19S433(15.2), FGA(20), FGA(24), D3S1358(14), FGA(21) and D2S1338(19). These results confirm a clinal pattern over the whole range for at least four loci (TH01, D19S433, FGA, D3S1358). CONCLUSIONS Four of the eight STR loci (or even alleles) considered here can reproducibly capture continental arrangements of diversity. This would, in principle, allow for the exploitation of forensic data to clarify important aspects in the formation of local gene pools.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein-alpha (CEBPA) is lineage-specific transcription factor in the hematopoietic system. In this study, we aimed on the clinical features and the prognostic significance associated with CEBPA mutations in 30 pediatric patients with acute leukemia. METHODS In addition, the association between found variants and mutations of Ten-Eleven-Translocation 2 (TET2), Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (KRAS), and Casitas B-cell lymphoma (CBL), FLT3 (Fms-Related Tyrosine Kinase), JAK2 (Januse Kinase-2) and Nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) were analyzed, which are important prognostic risk factors for pediatric acute leukemia patients. The entire CEBPA coding region was screened using the NGS method. RESULTS CEBPA mutations were detected in 16 (53.3 %) of 30 patients. In total, ten distinct of nucleotide changes were identified in 30 patients, including 6 novel and 4 known mutations by sequencing the entire CEBPA gene. We found 6 frame shift mutations, 1 missense mutation, 3 synonymous variants. The most common mutation was the c.487del G resulting p.Glu163Ser in 5 cases. Three patients carried CEBPA double mutations. CONCLUSION The detected variants in this article seemed to be the first screening results of genes studied by NGS in pediatric acute leukemia patients. Our results also showed some degree of association between FLT3-ITD, TET2, KRAS, CBL and CEBPA mutations (Tab. 4, Fig. 1, Ref. 24).

Abstract
Human forensic STRs used for individual identification have been reported to have little power for inter-population analyses. Several methods have been developed which incorporate information on the spatial distribution of individuals to arrive at a description of the arrangement of diversity. We genotyped at 16 forensic STRs a large population sample obtained from many locations in Italy, Greece and Turkey, i.e. three countries crucial to the understanding of discontinuities at the European/Asian junction and the genetic legacy of ancient migrations, but seldom represented together in previous studies. Using spatial PCA on the full dataset, we detected patterns of population affinities in the area. Additionally, we devised objective criteria to reduce the overall complexity into reduced datasets. Independent spatially explicit methods applied to these latter datasets converged in showing that the extraction of information on long- to medium-range geographical trends and structuring from the overall diversity is possible. All analyses returned the picture of a background clinal variation, with regional discontinuities captured by each of the reduced datasets. Several aspects of our results are confirmed on external STR datasets and replicate those of genome-wide SNP typings. High levels of gene flow were inferred within the main continental areas by coalescent simulations. These results are promising from a microevolutionary perspective, in view of the fast pace at which forensic data are being accumulated for many locales. It is foreseeable that this will allow the exploitation of an invaluable genotypic resource, assembled for other (forensic) purposes, to clarify important aspects in the formation of local gene pools.

Abstract
BACKGROUND CD22 is expressed on the surface of B-cell lineage cells from the early progenitor stage of pro-B cell until terminal differentiation to mature B cells. It plays a role in signal transduction and as a regulator of B-cell receptor signaling in B-cell development. OBJECTIVES We aimed to screen exons 9-14 of the CD22 gene, which is a mutational hot spot region in B-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (pre-B ALL) patients, to find possible genetic variants that could play role in the pathogenesis of pre-B ALL in Turkish children. METHODS This study included 109 Turkish children with pre-B ALL who were diagnosed at Losante Hospital for Children with Leukemia. Genomic DNA was extracted from both peripheral blood and bone marrow leukocytes. Gene amplification was performed with PCR, and all samples were screened for the variants by single strand conformation polymorphism. Samples showing band shifts were sequenced on an automated sequencer. RESULTS In our patient group a total of 9 variants were identified in the CD22 gene by sequencing: a novel variant in intron 10 (T2199G); a missense variant in exon 12; 5 intronic variants between exon 12 and intron 13; a novel intronic variant (C2424T); and a synonymous in exon 13. Thirteen of 109 children (11.9%) carried the T2199G novel intronic variant located in intron 10, and 17 of 109 children (15.6%) carried the C2424T novel intronic variant. CONCLUSION Novel variants in the CD22 gene in children with pre-B ALL in Turkey that are not present, in the Human Gene Mutation Database or NCBI SNP database, were found.

Abstract
Several genetic polymorphisms have been identified in patients with sepsis and severe sepsis, such as the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and TNF-β genes, the interleukin-1 (IL-1) family, the IL-6, the IL-10, the CD-14, the Toll-like receptors, plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1, and the factor V 1691G-A mutations. In this study, the relationship between the TNF-α 308G/A, the IL-6-174 G/C, the PAI-1, the FVL, the EPCR, and the Cathepsin G (Ars 125 Ser) polymorphisms and the development and outcome of sepsis in pediatric patients was studied. TNF-α 308 G/A, PAI-1 4G/4G, and EPCR mutations influence the risk of severe sepsis in children. IL-6 174 G/C, FVL, and Cathepsin G (Ars 125 Ser) did not influence the incidence and mortality of severe sepsis.

Abstract
Objective: We wished to determine the role of various factors causing hypercoagulability in thalassemia patients. Methods: Forty-six homozygous β-thalassemia patients were investigated. Protein C, protein S, and antithrombin (AT) levels were measured and lupus anticoagulants (LA) were screened. D-Dimer and fibrinopeptide A ( FPA) levels were measured to show the activation of the fibrinolytic system. Ten healthy children served as controls. Results: There was a marked decrease in protein C activity in 44.4% and in protein C antigen in 53.8% of the patients. Although no significant differences was noted between the mean values for protein S in the patient and control groups, protein S activity was <60% in 40% of the patients. AT levels were always normal. D-Dimer and FPA levels were increased, indicating the ongoing coagulation activation and fibrinolysis. Three patients had LA; which reflect the expression of phosphatidylserine on the outer surface of the erythrocyte membrane. Conclusions: In thalassemic patients, there is activation of the coagulation and fibrinolytic system which is believed to be secondary to an underlying mechanism. The presence of LA in some patients, probably due to the expression of PS on the outer surface of the erythrocyte membrane, may be the initiating event. Abstract
The purpose of this study was to research the problem of hemoglobin H (HbH) disease, to reveal the distribution patterns among different health centers, and to emphasize the importance of this disease for Turkey. A total of 273 patients were included from 8 hemoglobinopathy centers. The Antakya Hemoglobinopathy Center reported 232 patients and the remaining 7 centers reported 41 patients. PubMed was also searched for published articles related to Turkish patients with HbH disease, and we found 16 articles involving a total of 198 HbH patients. Most of the patients were reported from Antakya; thus, special attention should be paid to this region. This is a preliminary study to investigate the extent of the problem of HbH disease and it emphasizes the need for hematology associations or the Ministry of Health to record all cases of HbH disease in Turkey.

Abstract
Behçet's disease (BD) is a chronic, relapsing, multisystemic inflammatory disorder with unanswered questions regarding its etiology/pathogenesis and classification. Distinct manifestation based subsets, pronounced geographical variations in expression, and discrepant immunological abnormalities raised the question whether Behçet's is "a disease or a syndrome". To answer the preceding question we aimed to display and compare the molecular mechanisms underlying distinct subsets of BD. For this purpose, the expression data of the gene expression profiling and association study on BD by Xavier et al (2013) was retrieved from GEO database and reanalysed by gene expression data analysis/visualization and bioinformatics enrichment tools. There were 15 BD patients (B) and 14 controls (C). Three subsets of BD patients were generated: MB (isolated mucocutaneous manifestations, n = 7), OB (ocular involvement, n = 4), and VB (large vein thrombosis, n = 4). Class comparison analyses yielded the following numbers of differentially expressed genes (DEGs); B vs C: 4, MB vs C: 5, OB vs C: 151, VB vs C: 274, MB vs OB: 215, MB vs VB: 760, OB vs VB: 984. Venn diagram analysis showed that there were no common DEGs in the intersection "MB vs C" ∩ "OB vs C" ∩ "VB vs C". Cluster analyses successfully clustered distinct expressions of BD. During gene ontology term enrichment analyses, categories with relevance to IL-8 production (MB vs C) and immune response to microorganisms (OB vs C) were differentially enriched. Distinct subsets of BD display distinct expression profiles and different disease associated pathways. Based on these clear discrepancies, the designation as "Behçet's syndrome" (BS) should be encouraged and future research should take into consideration the immunogenetic heterogeneity of BS subsets. Four gene groups, namely, negative regulators of inflammation (CD69, CLEC12A, CLEC12B, TNFAIP3), neutrophil granule proteins (LTF, OLFM4, AZU1, MMP8, DEFA4, CAMP), antigen processing and presentation proteins (CTSS, ERAP1), and regulators of immune response (LGALS2, BCL10, ITCH, CEACAM8, CD36, IL8, CCL4, EREG, NFKBIZ, CCR2, CD180, KLRC4, NFAT5) appear to be instrumental in BS immunopathogenesis.

Abstract
Two 21-year old dizygotic twin men of Iraqi descent were homozygous for HBB codon 8, deletion of two nucleotides (-AA) frame-shift β(0) -thalassaemia mutation (FSC8; HBB:c25_26delAA). Both were clinically well, had splenomegaly, and were never transfused. They had mild microcytic anaemia (Hb 120-130 g/l) and 98% of their haemoglobin was fetal haemoglobin (HbF). Both were carriers of Hph α-thalassaemia mutation. On the three major HbF quantitative trait loci (QTL), the twins were homozygous for G>A HBG2 Xmn1 site at single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs7482144, homozygous for 3-bp deletion HBS1L-MYB intergenic polymorphism (HMIP) at rs66650371, and heterozygous for the A>C BCL11A intron 2 polymorphism at rs766432. These findings were compared with those found in 22 other FSC8 homozygote patients: four presented with thalassaemia intermedia phenotype, and 18 were transfusion dependent. The inheritance of homozygosity for HMIP 3-bp deletion at rs66650371 and heterozygosity for Hph α-thalassaemia mutation was found in the twins and not found in any of the other 22 patients. Further studies are needed to uncover likely additional genetic variants that could contribute to the exceptionally high HbF levels and mild phenotype in these twins.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Ankaferd hemostat (Ankaferd Blood Stopper®, ABS)-induced pharmacological modulation of essential erythroid proteins can cause vital erythroid aggregation via acting on fibrinogen gamma. Topical endoscopic ABS application is effective in the controlling of gastrointestinal (GI) system hemorrhages and/or infected GI wounds. Escherichia coli O157:H7, the predominant serotype of enterohemorrhagic E. coli, is a cause of both outbreaks and sporadic cases of hemorrhagic colitis. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of ABS on 6 different Shiga toxigenic E. coli serotypes including O26, O103, O104, O111, O145, and O157 and on other pathogens significant in foodborne diseases, such as Salmonella Typhimurium, Campylobacter jejuni, and Listeria monocytogenes, were also assessed. MATERIALS AND METHODS All strains were applied with different amounts of ABS and antimicrobial effect was screened. S. Typhimurium groups were screened for survival using the fluorescence in situ hybridization technique. RESULTS The relative efficacy of ABS solutions to achieve significant logarithmic reduction in foodborne pathogens E. coli O157:H7 and non-O157 serogroups and other emerging foodborne pathogens is demonstrated in this study. ABS has antibacterial effects. CONCLUSION Our present study indicated for the first time that ABS may act against E. coli O157:H7, which is a cause of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, hemolytic-uremic syndrome, and hemorrhagic colitis. The interrelationships between colitis, infection, and hemostasis within the context of ABS application should be further investigated in future studies.

Abstract
AIM Hemiplegic cerebral palsy (HCP) is a condition occurring as a consequence of a non-progressive damage of the brain with incomplete anatomical and physical development during the early period of life. Its etiology is multifactorial, with the cause remaining unexplained in the majority of cases. This study aims to investigate whether thrombophilic factors correlates with the etiology in children with HCP. METHODS We included 36 children with HCP in the patient group, and 41 healthy children with no neurologic disorders in the control group. No significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of factor V leiden, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase and prothrombin 20210A mutation frequency and protein C, protein S and antithrombin III levels. RESULTS Homocysteine levels were significantly higher in the group of patients with HCP as compared to the control group (P=0.012). Because we could not identify the origin of hyperhomocysteinemia as congenital or acquired, the impact of hyperhomocysteinemia on HCP was considered insignificant. Each thrombophilic disorder was assessed in terms of relatedness to atrophy, periventricular leukomalacia, infarct, congenital anomaly and porencephalic cyst, respectively. No significant correlation was detected between thrombophilic disorders and cranial imaging findings. CONCLUSION Our study has shown that thrombophilic factors are not involved in the etiology of HCP.

Abstract
Haplogroup E, defined by mutation M40, is the most common human Y chromosome clade within Africa. To increase the level of resolution of haplogroup E, we disclosed the phylogenetic relationships among 729 mutations found in 33 haplogroup DE Y-chromosomes sequenced at high coverage in previous studies. Additionally, we dissected the E-M35 subclade by genotyping 62 informative markers in 5,222 samples from 118 worldwide populations. The phylogeny of haplogroup E showed novel features compared with the previous topology, including a new basal dichotomy. Within haplogroup E-M35, we resolved all the previously known polytomies and assigned all the E-M35* chromosomes to five new different clades, all belonging to a newly identified subhaplogroup (E-V1515), which accounts for almost half of the E-M35 chromosomes from the Horn of Africa. Moreover, using a Bayesian phylogeographic analysis and a single nucleotide polymorphism-based approach we localized and dated the origin of this new lineage in the northern part of the Horn, about 12 ka. Time frames, phylogenetic structuring, and sociogeographic distribution of E-V1515 and its subclades are consistent with a multistep demic spread of pastoralism within north-eastern Africa and its subsequent diffusion to subequatorial areas. In addition, our results increase the discriminative power of the E-M35 haplogroup for use in forensic genetics through the identification of new ancestry-informative markers.

Abstract
C-type lectin domain family 12, member A (CLEC12A) is a C-type lectin-like pattern recognition receptor capable of recognizing monosodium urate crystals. Monosodium urate crystals, the causative agents of gout are also among the danger-associated molecular patterns reflecting cellular injury/cell death. In response to monosodium urate crystals, CLEC12A effectively inhibits granulocyte and monocyte/macrophage functions and hence acts as a negative regulator of inflammation. Behçet's syndrome and gout are autoinflammatory disorders sharing certain pathological (neutrophilic inflammation), clinical (exaggerated response to monosodium urate crystals) and therapeutic (colchicine) features. We propose the hypothesis that decreased expression of CLEC12A is a common denominator in the hyperinflammatory responses observed in Behçet's syndrome and gout. Major lines of evidence supporting this hypothesis are: (1) Downregulation/deficiency of CLEC12A is associated with hyperinflammatory responses. (2) CLEC12A polymorphisms with functional and clinical implications have been documented in other inflammatory diseases. (3) Colchicine, a fundamental therapeutic agent used both in Behçet's syndrome and gout is shown to oppose the downregulation of CLEC12A. (4) Behçet's syndrome and gout are characterized by a hyperinflammatory response to monosodium urate crystals and other than gout, Behçet's syndrome is the only inflammatory condition exhibiting this exaggerated response. (5) Genomewide linkage and association studies of Behçet's syndrome collectively point to 12p12-13, the chromosomal region harboring CLEC12A. (6) Patients with severe forms of Behçet's syndrome underexpress CLEC12A with respect to patients with mild forms of the disease. If supported by well-designed, rigorous experiments, the forementioned hypothesis pertinent to CLEC12A will carry important implications for therapy, designing experimental models, and uncovering immunopathogenic mechanisms in Behçet's syndrome and gout.

Abstract
The pathogenesis of Henoch-Schönlein Purpura (HSP) has not been clearly defined. Inflammatory cytokines have been associated with HSP but there are only a few reports that have focused on coagulation. The endothelial protein C receptor (EPCR), which has anticoagulant and antiinflammatory activity, is the key component of the protein C pathway. Recent studies have implicated the soluble form of EPCR (sEPCR) in Wegener's granulomatosis, Behçet's disease, and systemic lupus erythematosus. The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of sEPCR in HSP children. Twenty-two children with HSP and 17 healthy children were included. We found no significant differences (P > .05) between patient and control groups in the levels of von Willebrand factor and thrombomodulin. The median sEPCR values in the HSP group were lower than the control group (79 vs. 102 ng/mL, respectively) (P > .05). The mean sEPCR value in HSP patients with severe abdominal pain was lower than without (88.8 ± 54.9 vs. 108.2 ± 66.3 ng/mL, respectively) (P > .05). In addition, the mean IL-6 serum levels were significantly elevated in HSP patients during the acute stage of HSP (2.1 ± 1.7 vs. 1.5 ± 1.2 pg/mL, P = .038). We also observed a slight negative correlation between the levels of sEPCR and IL-6 (R = -.135, P > .05). To our knowledge, this was the first study to analyze sEPCR levels in HSP. Our results did not conclusively identify a direct role of sEPCR in HSP, but our findings warrant further investigations, especially in severe HSP cases characterized by gastrointestinal bleeding or renal involvement.

Abstract
Aim of this study was to analyze γ A gene repeat polymorphism for the analysis of haplotypes of hemoglobin (Hb) variants such as Hb S, Hb D-Punjab, Hb O-Arab. Sickle cell cases had mainly Benin and Arab/Indian haplotype. We found three different haplotypes among Hb S, Hb O Arab and Hb D-Punjab cases. We named these three variants as Anatolian-1 and Anatolian-2 and Asian. Our data revealed that Hb O Arab may arise twice one from Asia and the other from Europe.
