Abstract
OBJECTIVE To develop and validate a radiomics nomogram based on computed tomography (CT) to distinguish appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (AMNs) from appendicitis with intraluminal fluid (AWIF). METHOD A total of 211 patients from two medical institutions were retrospectively analysed, of which 109 were pathologically confirmed as having appendicitis with concomitant CT signs of intraluminal fluid and 102 as having AMN. All patients were randomly assigned to a training (147 patients) or validation cohort (64 patients) at a 7:3 ratio. Radiomics features of the cystic fluid area of the appendiceal lesions were extracted from nonenhanced CT images using 3D Slicer software. Minimum redundancy maximum relevance and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression methods were employed to screen the radiomics features and develop a radiomics model. Combined radiomics nomogram and clinical-CT models were further developed based on the corresponding features selected after multivariate analysis. Lastly, receiver operating characteristic curves, and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to assess the models' performances in the training and validation cohorts. RESULTS A total of 851 radiomics features were acquired from the nonenhanced CT images. Subsequently, a radiomics model consisting of eight selected features was developed. The combined radiomics nomogram model comprised rad-score, age, and mural calcification, while the clinical-CT model contained age and mural calcification. The combined model achieved area under the curves (AUCs) of 0.945 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.895, 0.976) and 0.933 (95% CI: 0.841, 0.980) in the training and validation cohorts, respectively, which were larger than those obtained by the radiomics (training cohort: AUC, 0.915 [95% CI: 0.865, 0.964]; validation cohort: AUC, 0.912 [95% CI: 0.843, 0.981]) and clinical-CT models (training cohort: AUC, 0.884 [95% CI: 0.820, 0.931]; validation cohort: AUC, 0.767 [95% CI: 0.644, 0.863]). Finally, DCA showed that the clinical utility of the combined model was superior to that of the clinical CT and radiomics models. CONCLUSION Our combined radiomics nomogram model constituting radiomics, clinical, and CT features exhibited good performance for differentiating AMN from AWIF, indicating its potential application in clinical decision-making.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To predict the existence of micropapillary or solid components in invasive adenocarcinoma, a model was constructed using qualitative and quantitative features in high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT). METHODS Through pathological examinations, 176 lesions were divided into two groups depending on the presence or absence of micropapillary and/or solid components (MP/S): MP/S- group (n = 128) and MP/S + group (n = 48). Multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify independent predictors of the MP/S. Artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted diagnostic software was used to automatically identify the lesions and extract corresponding quantitative parameters on CT images. The qualitative, quantitative, and combined models were constructed according to the results of multivariate logistic regression analysis. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was conducted to evaluate the discrimination capacity of the models with the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, and specificity calculated. The calibration and clinical utility of the three models were determined using the calibration curve and decision curve analysis (DCA), respectively. The combined model was visualized in a nomogram. RESULTS The multivariate logistic regression analysis using both qualitative and quantitative features indicated that tumor shape (P = 0.029 OR = 4.89; 95% CI 1.175-20.379), pleural indentation (P = 0.039 OR = 1.91; 95% CI 0.791-4.631), and consolidation tumor ratios (CTR) (P < 0.001; OR = 1.05; 95% CI 1.036-1.070) were independent predictors for MP/S + . The areas under the curve (AUC) of the qualitative, quantitative, and combined models in predicting MP/S + were 0.844 (95% CI 0.778-0.909), 0.863 (95% CI 0.803-0.923), and 0.880 (95% CI 0.824-0.937). The combined model of AUC was the most superior and statistically better than qualitative model. CONCLUSION The combined model could assist doctors to evaluate patient's prognoses and devise personalized diagnostic and treatment protocols for patients.

Abstract
Objective Early identifying arteriosclerosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients could contribute to choosing proper subjects for early prevention. Here, we aimed to investigate whether radiomic intermuscular adipose tissue (IMAT) analysis could be used as a novel marker to indicate arteriosclerosis in newly diagnosed T2D patients. Methods A total of 549 patients with newly diagnosed T2D were included in this study. The clinical information of the patients was recorded and the carotid plaque burden was used to indicate arteriosclerosis. Three models were constructed to evaluate the risk of arteriosclerosis: a clinical model, a radiomics model (a model based on IMAT analysis proceeded on chest CT images), and a clinical-radiomics combined model (a model that integrated clinical-radiological features). The performance of the three models were compared using the area under the curve (AUC) and DeLong test. Nomograms were constructed to indicate arteriosclerosis presence and severity. Calibration curves and decision curves were plotted to evaluate the clinical benefit of using the optimal model. Results The AUC for indicating arteriosclerosis of the clinical-radiomics combined model was higher than that of the clinical model [0.934 (0.909, 0.959) vs. 0.687 (0.634, 0.730), P < 0.001 in the training set, 0.933 (0.898, 0.969) vs. 0.721 (0.642, 0.799), P < 0.001 in the validation set]. Similar indicative efficacies were found between the clinical-radiomics combined model and radiomics model (P = 0.5694). The AUC for indicating the severity of arteriosclerosis of the combined clinical-radiomics model was higher than that of both the clinical model and radiomics model [0.824 (0.765, 0.882) vs. 0.755 (0.683, 0.826) and 0.734 (0.663, 0.805), P < 0.001 in the training set, 0.717 (0.604, 0.830) vs. 0.620 (0.490, 0.750) and 0.698 (0.582, 0.814), P < 0.001 in the validation set, respectively]. The decision curve showed that the clinical-radiomics combined model and radiomics model indicated a better performance than the clinical model in indicating arteriosclerosis. However, in indicating severe arteriosclerosis, the clinical-radiomics combined model had higher efficacy than the other two models. Conclusion Radiomics IMAT analysis could be a novel marker for indicating arteriosclerosis in patients with newly diagnosed T2D. The constructed nomograms provide a quantitative and intuitive way to assess the risk of arteriosclerosis, which may help clinicians comprehensively analyse radiomics characteristics and clinical risk factors more confidently.

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the correlation of computed tomography (CT) quantitative parameters with tumor invasion and Ki-67 expression in early lung adenocarcinoma. The study involved 141 lesions in 141 patients with early lung adenocarcinoma. According to the degree of tumor invasion, the lesions were assigned into (adenocarcinoma in situ + minimally invasive adenocarcinoma) group and invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) group. Artificial intelligence-assisted diagnostic software was used to automatically outline the lesions and extract corresponding quantitative parameters on CT images. Statistical analysis was performed to explore the correlation of these parameters with tumor invasion and Ki-67 expression. The results of logistic regression analysis showed that the short diameter of the lesion and the average CT value were independent predictors of IAC. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis identified the average CT value as an independent predictor of IAC with the best performance, with the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.893 (P < .001), and the threshold of -450 HU. Besides, the predicted probability of logistic regression analysis model was detected to have the area under the curve of 0.931 (P < .001). The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression level of Ki-67 had the highest correlation with the average CT value of the lesion (r = 0.403, P < .001).The short diameter of the lesion and the average CT value are independent predictors of IAC, and the average CT value is significantly positively correlated with the expression of tumor Ki-67.

Abstract
The cell cycle of donor cells as a major factor that affects cloning efficiency remains debatable. G2/M phase cells as a donor can successfully produce cloned animals, but a minimal amount is known regarding nuclear remodeling events. In this study, porcine fetal fibroblasts (PFFs) were carefully synchronized at G1 or M phase as donor cells. Most of the cloned embryos reconstructed from PFFs at G1 (G1-embryos) or M (M-embryos) phase formed a pronucleus-like nucleus (PN) within 6-h post fusion (hpf), but the M-embryos formed PN earlier than the G1-embryos did. Moreover, 77.4% of the M-embryos formed two PNs, whereas the G1-embryos formed a single PN. The rate of extrusion of polar body-like structures by the M-embryos was significantly lower than that extruded by the G1-embryos (26.3% vs. 37.1%, P < 0.05), and DNA synthesis in most embryos in both groups was initiated at 9-12 hpf. Most of the M-embryos were octoploid before the first cleavage. Furthermore, 81.25% of the blastomeres of blastocysts developed from the M-embryos showed abnormal ploidy compared with those developed from the G1-embryos (22.55%). However, some of the blastomeres remained diploid in all the M-embryos tested. A portion of the blastomeres restored normal diploidy in some of the M-embryos at the blastocyst stage. This finding provides an explanation for M-embryos developing to term.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the relationship between CT findings and immunohistochemical types of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). METHODS CT imaging and clinicopathological data of 85 patients with GIST were analyzed retrospectively. The CT findings of GIST including lesion location, size, contour, boundary, tumor growth pattern, degree of enhancement, necrosis and calcification, were summarized and compared with the immunohistochemical types of the GIST. RESULTS Of the 85 patients, smooth muscle differentiation was in 26 cases (30.6%), neural differentiation in 20 (23.5%) , both smooth muscle and neural differentiation in 10 (11.8%) and no obvious differentiation in 29 (34.1%) cases. GISTs occurred in the duodenum were more frequently seen in muscle type than in any other types, GIST with smooth muscle differentiation had higher prevalence of huge mass (larger than 10 cm), distinctive enhancement and extensive necrosis than other types (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the relationships of immunohistochemical types with tumor contour, boundary, growth pattern and calcification among the four groups of GIST (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS CT scan is the most important and effective method for diagnosis of GIST. Analyzing CT signs has some potential value in judgmet of immunohistochemical types of GIST.

Abstract
Adenosine and its derivatives 1 nmol.L-1 -0.1 mmol.L-1 elicited negative chronotropic effect on cultured rat myocardial cells. The respective IC50 were: L-PIA 85 +/- 10 greater than NECA 160 +/- 64 greater than adenosine 361 +/- 41 nmol.L-1. The negative chronotropic effect was antagonized by IBMX. [3H]Adenosine bound to myocardial cells of rat in a saturable way with a Kd of 238 nmol.L-1 and a Bmax of 7.6 pmol/10(8) cells. The binding of [3H]adenosine was competitively antagonized by adenosine, L-PIA, NECA, and IBMX. These results indicated the existence of adenosine receptor in rat myocardial cells.
