Abstract
Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba (EHH) was provided with medicinal and edible uses, but frequently was adulterated with its closely related species. Hence, this study sought to identify EHH via an integrated approach comprising data from its morphological evaluation, HPLC analysis, comparative plastomes analysis and allele-specific PCR identification. First, the morphological characteristics of 8 subgenus Chamaesyce plants were summarized. Then, HPLC analysis showed that 18 batches of EHH were adulterated or unqualified. Furthermore, the plastomes of the 8 subg. Chamaesyce species were analyzed. Phylogenetic analysis revealed a sister relationship among the 8 subg. Chamaesyce species. The allele-specific PCR authentication was developed by the nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertions or deletions (InDels) analysis. The results of allele-specific PCR showed that 27 batches of EHH were adulterated, indicating that the superior sensitivity of molecular authentication over the other methods used. This study provided a reference for rational use and phylogenetic research of EHH.

[The influence of knocking down the expression of low-density lipoprotein receptor associated proteins on the vascular abnormalities in hepatocellular carcinoma and its mechanisms]. Abstract
Objectives: To investigate the effect of the expression of low-density lipoprotein receptor associated protein (LDLR) on the vascular abnormalities in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its mechanisms. Methods: Based on the information of Oncomine Cancer GeneChip database, we analyzed the correlation between the expression level of LDLR and the expression level of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and CD31 in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues. Lentiviral transfection of short hairpin RNA target genes was used to construct LDLR-knockdown MHCC-97H and HLE hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The differential genes and their expression level changes in LDLR-knockdown hepatocellular carcinoma cells were detected by transcriptome sequencing, real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and protein immunoblotting. The gene-related signaling pathways that involve LDLR were clarified by enrichment analysis. The effect of LDLR on CEA was assessed by the detection of CEA content in conditioned medium of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Angiogenesis assay was used to detect the effect of LDLR on the angiogenic capacity of human umbilical vein endothelial cells, as well as the role of CEA in the regulation of angiogenesis by LDLR. Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression levels of LDLR in 176 hepatocellular carcinoma tissues, and CEA and CD31 in 146 hepatocellular carcinoma tissues, and analyze the correlations between the expression levels of LDLR, CEA, and CD31 in the tissues, serum CEA, and alanine transaminase (ALT). Results: Oncomine database analysis showed that the expressions of LDLR and CEA in the tissues of hepatocellular carcinoma patients with portal vein metastasis were negatively correlated (r=-0.64, P=0.001), whereas the expressions of CEA and CD31 in these tissues were positively correlated ( r=0.46, P=0.010). The transcriptome sequencing results showed that there were a total of 1 032 differentially expressed genes in the LDLR-knockdown group and the control group of MHCC-97H cells, of which 517 genes were up-regulated and 515 genes were down-regulated. The transcript expression level of CEACAM5 was significantly up-regulated in the cells of the LDLR-knockdown group. The Gene Ontology (GO) function enrichment analysis showed that the differential genes were most obviously enriched in the angiogenesis function. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) signaling pathway enrichment analysis showed that the relevant pathways involved mainly included the cellular adhesion patch, the extracellular matrix receptor interactions, and the interactions with the extracellular matrix receptors. The CEA content in the conditioned medium of the LDLR-knockdown group was 43.75±8.43, which was higher than that of the control group (1.15±0.14, P<0.001). The results of angiogenesis experiments showed that at 5 h, the number of main junctions, the number of main segments, and the total area of the lattice formed by HUVEC cells cultured with the conditioned medium of MHCC-97H cells in the LDLR-knockdown group were 295.3±26.4, 552.5±63.8, and 2 239 781.0±13 8211.9 square pixels, which were higher than those of the control group (113.3±23.5, 194.8±36.5, and 660 621.0±280 328.3 square pixels, respectively, all P<0.01).The number of vascular major junctions, the number of major segments, and the total area of the lattice formed by HUVEC cells cultured in conditioned medium with HLE cells in the LDLR-knockdown group were 245.3±42.4, 257.5±20.4, and 2 535 754.5±249 094.2 square pixels, respectively, which were all higher than those of the control group (113.3±23.5, 114.3±12.2, and 1 565 456.5±219 259.7 square pixels, respectively, all P<0.01). In the conditioned medium for the control group of MHCC-97H cells,the number of main junctions, the number of main segments, and the total area of the lattice formed by the addition of CEA to cultured HUVEC cells were 178.9±12.0, 286.9±12.3, and 1 966 990.0±126 249.5 spixels, which were higher than those in the control group (119.7±22.1, 202.7±33.7, and 1 421 191.0±189 837.8 square pixels, respectively). The expression of LDLR in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues was not correlated with the expression of CEA, but was negatively correlated with the expression of CD31 (r=-0.167, P=0.044), the level of serum CEA (r=-0.061, P=0.032), and the level of serum ALT(r=-0.147,P=0.05). The expression of CEA in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues was positively correlated with the expression of CD31 (r=0.192, P=0.020). The level of serum CEA was positively correlated with the level of serum ALT (r=0.164, P=0.029). Conclusion: Knocking down LDLR can promote vascular abnormalities in HCC by releasing CEA.

Abstract
Regenerating tissues similar to dental structure with normal function are putatively to be the aim in tooth regeneration filed. Currently, researchers preliminarily achieved tooth regeneration by applying dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) and stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED). However, the regeneration efficiency remains unstable and needs further investigation. The development of single-cell RNA sequencing and organoid culture system provide potential of precise, targeted and controllable functional regeneration. This article reviews the current state of DPSC/SHED on tooth regeneration, and analyzes characteristics and hotspots of them, aiming to shed light on clinical translational application of stable and efficient tooth regeneration.

The impact of mpMRI-targeted vs systematic biopsy on the risk of prostate cancer downgrading at final pathology. World J Urol 2024; 42:248. Abstract
PURPOSE Although targeted biopsies (TBx) are associated with improved disease assessment, concerns have been raised regarding the risk of prostate cancer (PCa) overgrading due to more accurate biopsy core deployment in the index lesion. METHODS We identified 1672 patients treated with radical prostatectomy (RP) with a positive mpMRI and ISUP ≥ 2 PCa detected via systematic biopsy (SBx) plus TBx. We compared downgrading rates at RP (ISUP 4-5, 3, and 2 at biopsy, to a lower ISUP) for PCa detected via SBx only (group 1), via TBx only (group 2), and eventually for PCa detected with the same ISUP 2-5 at both SBx and TBx (group 3), using multivariable logistic regression models (MVA). RESULTS Overall, 12 vs 14 vs 6% (n = 176 vs 227 vs 96) downgrading rates were recorded in group 1 vs group 2 vs group 3, respectively (p < 0.001). At MVA, group 2 was more likely to be downgraded (OR 1.26, p = 0.04), as compared to group 1. Conversely, group 3 was less likely to be downgraded at RP (OR 0.42, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Downgrading rates are highest when PCa is present in TBx only and, especially when the highest grade PCa is diagnosed by TBx cores only. Conversely, downgrading rates are lowest when PCa is identified with the same ISUP through both SBx and TBx. The presence of clinically significant disease at SBx + TBx may indicate a more reliable assessment of the disease at the time of biopsy potentially reducing the risk of downgrading at final pathology.

Abstract
AIM To investigate differences in iron deposition between infarct and normal cerebral arterial regions in acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) patients using quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty healthy controls and 40 AIS patients were recruited, and their QSM images were obtained. There were seven regions of interest (ROIs) in AIS patients, including the infarct regions of responsible arteries (R1), the non-infarct regions of responsible arteries (R2), the contralateral symmetrical sites of lesions (R3), and the non-responsible cerebral arterial regions (R4, R5, R6, R7). For the healthy controls, the cerebral arterial regions corresponding to the AIS patient group were selected as ROIs. The differences in corresponding ROI susceptibilities between AIS patients and healthy controls and the differences in susceptibilities between infarcted and non-infarct regions in AIS patients were compared. RESULTS The susceptibilities of infarct regions in AIS patients were significantly higher than those in healthy controls (p<0.0001). There was no significant difference in non-infarct regions between the two groups (p>0.05). The susceptibility of the infarct regions in AIS patients was significantly higher than those of the non-infarct region of responsible artery and non-responsible cerebral arterial regions (p<0.01). CONCLUSIONS Abnormal iron deposition detected by QSM in the infarct regions of AIS patients may not affect iron levels in the non-infarct regions of responsible arteries and normal cerebral arteries, which may open the door for potential new diagnostic and treatment strategies.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the influence of varied oxygen (O2) concentration environments on the phenotypic transformation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC) and the mechanism of pulmonary hypertension. Methods: Primary rat PASMC were isolated and cultured through the process of enzymatic digestion. Following identification, the stable passaged PASMC were subjected to a 6-hour incubation in sealed containers with normal O2 content (group C) and relative O2 content comprising 55% (group H55), 75% (group H75), and 95% (group H95). mRNA and protein expression of α-Actin (α-SMA), smooth muscle 22α (SM22α), osteopontin (OPN), and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) were measured using real-time quantitative PCR and western blot analysis. Results: The H55 group displayed no significant difference from the C group in terms of mRNA and relative protein expression levels for α-SMA, SM22α, OPN, and MMP-2 (all P>0.05). On the other hand, groups H75 and H95 exhibited a reduction in mRNA and relative protein expression of α-SMA and SM22α, along with an increase in mRNA and relative protein expression of OPN and MMP-2 when compared with both the C and H55 groups (all P<0.05). The H95 group showed a higher relative mRNA expression of MMP-2 as compared to the H75 group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Oxygen concentration environments of 75% or higher can serve as the foundation for the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension, essentially by inducing a phenotypic transformation in PASMC towards adopting a robust secretory function. This induction is contingent upon the concentration of oxygen present.

Abstract
Tiller number greatly contributes to grain yield in wheat. Using ethylmethanesulfonate mutagenesis, we previously discovered the oligo-tillering mutant ot1. The tiller number was significantly lower in ot1 than in the corresponding wild type from the early tillering stage until the heading stage. Compared to the wild type, the thousand-grain weight and grain length were increased by 15.41% and 31.44%, respectively, whereas the plant height and spike length were decreased by 26.13% and 37.25%, respectively. Transcriptomic analysis was conducted at the regreening and jointing stages to identify differential expressed genes (DEGs). Functional enrichment analysis with the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) and Gene Ontology (GO) databases showed differential expression of genes associated with ADP binding, transmembrane transport, and transcriptional regulation during tiller development. Differences in tiller number in ot1 led to the upregulation of genes in the strigolactone (SL) and abscisic acid (ABA) pathways. Specifically, the SL biosynthesis genes DWARF (D27), D17, D10, and MORE AXILLARY GROWTH 1 (MAX1) were upregulated by 3.37- to 8.23-fold; the SL signal transduction genes D14 and D53 were upregulated by 1.81- and 1.32-fold, respectively; the ABA biosynthesis genes 9-CIS-EPOXICAROTENOID DIOXIGENASE 3 (NCED3) and NCED5 were upregulated by 1.66- and 3.4-fold, respectively; and SNF1-REGULATED PROTEIN KINASE2 (SnRK2) and PROTEIN PHOSPHATASE 2C (PP2C) genes were upregulated by 1.30- to 4.79-fold. This suggested that the tiller number reduction in ot1 was due to alterations in plant hormone pathways. Genes known to promote tillering growth were upregulated, whereas those known to inhibit tillering growth were downregulated. For example, PIN-FORMED 9 (PIN9), which promotes tiller development, was upregulated by 8.23-fold in ot1; Ideal Plant Architecture 1 (IPA1), which inhibits tiller development, was downregulated by 1.74-fold. There were no significant differences in the expression levels of TILLER NUMBER 1 (TN1) or TEOSINTE BRANCHED 1 (TB1), indicating that the tiller reduction in ot1 was not controlled by known genes. Our findings provide valuable data for subsequent research into the genetic bases and regulatory mechanisms of wheat tillering. Abstract
As climate change continues to negatively impact our farmlands, abiotic factors like salinity and drought stress increasingly threaten global food security. The development of elite germplasms with resistance to multiple abiotic stresses is essential for breeding climate-resilient wheat cultivars. In this study, we determined that the previously reported salt-tolerant st1 mutant, obtained via spaceflight mutagenesis, may also resist to drought stress at the seedling stage. Moreover, our field trial revealed that yield-related traits including plant height, 1000-grain weight, and spike number per plant were significantly increased in st1 compared to the wild type. An F2 population of 334 individuals derived from a cross between the wild type and st1 displayed a bimodal distribution indicating that st1 plant height is controlled by a single major gene. Our Bulked Segregant Analysis and exome capture sequencing indicate that this gene is located on chromosome 4D. Further genetic linkage and gene sequence analysis suggests that a reverse mutation of Rht2 is putatively responsible for plant height variation in st1. Our genotypic and phenotypic analysis of the F2 population and F3 lines indicate that this reverse mutation significantly increases plant height and thousand grain weight but slightly decreases spike number per plant. Together, these results supply helpful information for the utilization of Rht2 in wheat breeding and provide an important material for breeding environmentally resilient, high-yield wheat varieties.

Abstract
A highly efficient 3D flower MoS2 (3D-FM)-based heterostructure photocatalyst (3D-FM/BiOI) was successfully obtained via a simple hydrothermal synthesis strategy. 3D-FM/BiOI showed prominent photoelectrochemical performance, distinguished stability and good selectivity. The introduction of 3D-FM, by promoting the photoelectric property attributed to it, facilitated the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. Since the redox process of l-ascorbic acid (l-AA) resulted in an increasing photocurrent of 3D-FM/BiOI, a signal "switch-on" photoelectrochemical sensor (PECS) was designed to sensitively determine l-AA for the first time. Under optimized conditions, the 3D-FM/BiOI PECS worked over a wide range from 1 μM to 0.8 mM with a low detection limit of 0.05 μM (S/N = 3). The PECS was successfully exploited for l-AA sensing in human urine with excellent accuracy and applicability, demonstrating its practical precision and superb serviceability. Furthermore, the 3D-FM/BiOI PECS exhibited satisfactory selectivity and stability, providing a great potential platform for the construction of an l-AA sensor in various practical samples and complicated environments.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Second-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) was introduced in Henan Province in 2009. The number of people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) starting this therapy is increasing. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the survival and factors affecting mortality among this group. METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort study of people living with HIV (PLHIV) who switched to second-line ART between May 1, 2010, and May 1, 2016., using the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards models. RESULTS We followed 3,331 PLHIV for 26,988 person-years, of whom 508 (15.3%) died. The mortality rate was 1.88/100 person-years. After adjusting for confounding factors, we found being a woman (hazard ratio [HR], 0.66; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.55-0.79), > 50 years old (HR, 2.69; 95%CI, 2.03-3.56), single/windowed (HR, 1.26; 95%CI, 1.04-1.52), having > 6 years of education (HR, 0.78; 95%CI, 0.65-0.94), Chinese medicine (HR, 0.75; 95%CI, 0.52-0.96), liver injury (HR, 1.58; 95%CI, 1.19-2.10), and CD4+ T cell count <200 cells/µl (HR, 1.94; 95%CI, 1.47-2.55), or 200-350 cells/µl (HR, 1.37; 95%CI, 1.03-1.82) were associated with mortality risk. CONCLUSIONS We found lower mortality among PLHIV who switched to second-line ART than most previous studies. The limitations of a retrospective cohort may, therefore, have biased the data, and prospective studies are needed to confirm the results. Moreover, Chinese medicine combined with second-line ART shows potential as a treatment for HIV.

Abstract
AIM To determine whether tumour vascular and cellular heterogeneity of high-grade glioma (HGG) is predictive of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status and overall survival (OS) by using tumour habitat-based analysis constructed by perfusion and/or diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy-eight HGG patients that met the 2021 World Health Organization WHO Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System, 5th edition (WHO CNS5), were enrolled to predict IDH mutation status, of which 32 grade 4 patients with unmethylated O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter were enrolled for prognostic analysis. The deep-learning-based model nnU-Net and K-means clustering algorithm were applied to construct the Traditional Habitat, Vascular Habitat (VH), Cellular Density Habitat (DH), and their Combined Habitat (CH). Quantitative parameters were extracted and compared between IDH-mutant and IDH-wild-type patients, respectively, and the prediction potential was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. OS was analysed using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test. RESULTS Compared with IDH-mutants, median relative cerebral blood volume (rCBVmedian) values in the whole enhancing tumour (WET), VH1, VH3, CH1-4 habitats were significantly increased in IDH-wild-type HGGs (all p<0.05). Additionally, the accuracy of rCBVmedian values in CH1 outperformed other habitats in identifying IDH mutation status (p<0.001) at a cut-off value of 4.83 with AUC of 0.815. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis highlighted significant differences in OS between the populations dichotomised by the median of rCBVmedian in WET, VH1, CH1-3 habitats (all p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The habitat imaging technique may improve the accuracy of predicting IDH mutation status and prognosis, and even provide a new direction for subsequent personalised precision treatment.

Abstract
Silicon (Si) is abundant in the lithosphere, and previous studies have confirmed that silicon plays an important role in plant growth. Higher plants absorb soluble silicon from soil through roots which is deposited in plant tissues mainly in the form of phytoliths. Based on previous studies, the research progress in silicon and phytoliths in the structural protection, enhancement on photosynthesis and transpiration of plants and plant growth and stress resistance was reviewed. Meanwhile, gaps in phytolith research, including phytolith morphology and function, impact of diverse environmental factors coupling with phytoliths, phytolith characteristics at different stages of plant development and phytoliths in regional vegetation are identified. The paper intends to promote the wider application of phytolith research findings and provides reference for further research on phytoliths.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) with triglyceride glucose index (TyG) and TyG-related indicators in Uyghur populations of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Methods: Based on the cohort of the Uygur population of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 11 833 study subjects were included. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate the cumulative incidence of CVD in each quartile of TyG and TyG-related indicators. Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to evaluate the relationship between TyG and CVD, TyG-related indicators and CVD. Framingham CVD risk score model (Framingham model) was used to evaluate whether the addition of TyG and TyG-related indicators could improve the predictive ability of the model. The potential mediating role of the TyG in the association between obesity and CVD was examined through mediation effect analysis. Results: The average age of the subjects was (37.00±13.67) years-old, and 51.0% were male. The median follow-up time was 5.67 years, with 1 288 CVD events. The cumulative incidence of CVD increased with the increase of TyG and TyG-related indicators quartiles, and compared with the Q1 group, the risk of CVD in the Q4 group of TyG, TyG-BMI, and TyG-WHtR increased by 20% (HR=1.20, 95%CI: 1.01-1.42), 77% (HR=1.77, 95%CI: 1.46-2.16) and 68% (HR=1.68, 95%CI: 1.36-2.09), respectively. After adding TyG, TyG-BMI, and TyG-WHtR to the Framingham model, respectively, the model's area under the curve, net reclassification improvement, and integrated discrimination improvement were improved. In the association between BMI, WHtR, and CVD, the proportion of mediating effects mediated by the TyG index was 10.55% and 11.50%. Conclusions: Elevated levels of TyG and TyG-related indicators were strongly associated with the risk of CVD in the Uyghur population of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, with TyG-BMI being the most closely correlated with CVD. Early monitoring of TyG-BMI helps identify high-risk groups of CVD.

Abstract
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), a prominent conducting polymer, holds significance in both industry and academia. However, prevailing fabrication techniques struggle to build spanning features of PEDOT:PSS with both high electrical conductivity and fine resolution due to layerwise assembly in the xy plane. Here, we report an "omnidirectional printing and secondary doping" strategy to construct spanning, filamentary and out-of-plane 3D PEDOT:PSS with high conductivity. The pristine PEDOT:PSS suspension is homogeneously concentrated to form a printable ink with high solids (∼15 wt %) consisting of entangled PEDOT:PSS nanofibrils. Such ink shows a high storage modulus G' (43531 Pa) and a high yield stress τy (4325 Pa), thereby enabling omnidirectional printing. Secondary doping with sulfuric acid or other polar solvents is used to induce a synergetic process of PSS loss, conformational change, phase separation, and crystallinity enhancement in the printed structures, resulting in a remarkable enhancement of conductivity in dehydrated (65,378 S/m) and swollen (7190 S/m) states. As a proof-of-concept, 2D grids with a feature size of 15 μm and 3D overhanging arches are fabricated for high-performance transparent glass heaters and 3D interconnection, respectively. This work promises great potential for the development of advanced flexible electronics, wearable devices, and bioelectronics.

Abstract
Malignant tumors represent a significant health challenge, critically impacting human well-being. Historically, the focus has been on leveraging the biochemical cues of tumors for both diagnosis and treatment. While valuable, this strategy does not capture the full complexity of tumor diagnosis and management. Recently, the integration of biomechanics and mechanobiology with oncology has highlighted the importance of mechanical cues, which have emerged as new hallmarks of tumors, opening potential novel routes for cancer diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. Despite the advances, a thorough literature review suggests a pronounced gap in our understanding of the mechanical properties of tumors. The clinical community has not yet completely recognized the diagnostic and therapeutic relevance of the mechanical cues of tumors. To bridge this knowledge gap, we propose and introduce the paradigm of "Tumor Mechanomedicine". We provide a comprehensive overview of the multi-scale mechanical characteristics of tumors, exploring their influence on tumor biology, from the aspects of tumor biomechanics, tumor mechanobiology, tumor mechanodiagnostics, and tumor mechanotherapeutics. By elucidating the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of these mechanical cues, we aim to furnish the oncology community with fresh insights, paving the way for innovative solutions to persistent clinical conundrums.

Abstract
Homeodomain proteins encoded by BEL1- and KNAT1-type genes are ubiquitously distributed across plant species and play important roles in growth and development, whereby a comprehensive investigation of their molecular interactions and potential functions in wheat is of great significance. In this study, we systematically investigated the phylogenetic relationships, gene structures, conserved domains, and cis-acting elements of 34 TaBEL and 34 TaKNAT genes in the wheat genome. Our analysis revealed these genes evolved under different selective pressures and showed variable transcript levels in different wheat tissues. Subcellular localization analysis further indicated the proteins encoded by these genes were either exclusively located in the nucleus or both in the nucleus and the cytoplasm. Additionally, a comprehensive protein-protein interaction network was constructed with representative genes in which each TaBEL or TaKNAT proteins interact with at least two partners. The evaluation of wheat mutants identified key genes, including TaBEL-5B, TaBEL-4A.4, and TaKNAT6, which are involved in grain-related traits. Finally, haplotype analysis suggests TaKNAT-6B is associated with grain-related traits and is preferentially selected among a large set of wheat accessions. Our study provides important information on BEL1- and KNAT1-type gene families in wheat, and lays the foundation for functional research in the future.

Abstract
β-lactamase, an enzyme secreted by bacteria, is the main resistant mechanism of Gram-negative bacteria to β-lactam antibiotics. The resistance of bacteria to β-lactam antibiotics can be evaluated by testing the activity of β-lactamase. Traditional phenotypic detection is a golden principle, but it is time-consuming. In recent years, many new methods have emerged, which improve the efficiency by virtue of their sensitivity, low cost, easy operation, and other advantages. In this paper, we systematically review these researches and emphasize their limits of detection, sample operation, and test duration. Noteworthily, some detection systems can identify the β-lactamase subtype conveniently. We mainly divide these tests into three categories to elaborate their characteristics and application status. Both advantages and disadvantages of these methods are discussed. Additionally, we analyze the recent 5 years published researches to predict the trend of development in this field.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effect and prognosis of infant kidney transplantation. Methods: Clinical data of 37 cases of infant kidney transplantation under 3 years old in Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from June 1, 2017 to July 31, 2022 were retrospectively collected. These 37 cases included 31 primary kidney transplantation and 6 secondary kidney transplantation. Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw the survival curve of the transplanted kidney and the recipient, and the prognosis and complications were analyzed. Median follow-up was 18 months (range: 6-66 months). Results: The recipients were 20 males and 17 females, with a median age of 16 months (range: 2 months, 26 days to 36 months) and a median weight of 8 kg (range: 3.2 to 14.0 kg). The youngest child was only 2 months, 26 days old, and weighed only 3.2 kg. The most common primary disease of recipients was congenital nephrotic syndrome (13 cases, 41.9%). Intra-abdominal transplantation occurred in 19 cases (51.3%) and intra-iliac fossa transplantation occurred in the remaining 18 cases (48.6%). Postoperative renal function recovery was delayed in 7 cases (18.9%), and thrombosis caused renal function loss in 5 cases (13.5%), of which 4 cases received second renal transplantation and were successful. During the follow-up period, there were 11 cases of acute rejection (29.7%) and 6 cases of CMV pneumonia (16.2%). The estimated glomerular filtration rate 1 year after transplantation was higher than that 1 month after surgery [(101.9±22.1) vs (71.1±25.6) ml/(min·1.73m2), P<0.001], and remained constant 2 years after transplantation. Both the 1-year and 2-year survival rates of the transplanted kidney were 85.3%, and both the 1-year and 2-year survival rates of the recipients were 96.8%. Conclusion: Although the implementation of infant kidney transplantation is difficult, it can still achieve relatively satisfactory efficacy and prognosis.

Abstract
Hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum), a major staple crop, has a remarkably large genome of ~14.4 Gb (containing 106 913 high-confidence [HC] and 159 840 low-confidence [LC] genes in the Chinese Spring v2.1 reference genome), which poses a major challenge for functional genomics studies. To overcome this hurdle, we performed whole-exome sequencing to generate a nearly saturated wheat mutant database containing 18 025 209 mutations induced by ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS), carbon (C)-ion beams, or γ-ray mutagenesis. This database contains an average of 47.1 mutations per kb in each gene-coding sequence: the potential functional mutations were predicted to cover 96.7% of HC genes and 70.5% of LC genes. Comparative analysis of mutations induced by EMS, γ-rays, or C-ion beam irradiation revealed that γ-ray and C-ion beam mutagenesis induced a more diverse array of variations than EMS, including large-fragment deletions, small insertions/deletions, and various non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms. As a test case, we combined mutation analysis with phenotypic screening and rapidly mapped the candidate gene responsible for the phenotype of a yellow-green leaf mutant to a 2.8-Mb chromosomal region. Furthermore, a proof-of-concept reverse genetics study revealed that mutations in gibberellic acid biosynthesis and signalling genes could be associated with negative impacts on plant height. Finally, we built a publically available database of these mutations with the corresponding germplasm (seed stock) repository to facilitate advanced functional genomics studies in wheat for the broad plant research community.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Induction of mutation through chemical mutagenesis is a novel approach for preparing diverse germplasm. Introduction of functional alleles in the starch biosynthetic genes help in the improvement of the quality and yield of cereals. RESULTS In the present study, a set of 350 stable mutant lines were used to evaluate dynamic variation of the total starch contents. A megazyme kits were used for measuring the total starch content, resistant starch, amylose, and amylopectin content. Analysis of variance showed significant variation (p < 0.05) in starch content within the population. Furthermore, two high starch mutants (JE0173 and JE0218) and two low starch mutants (JE0089 and JE0418) were selected for studying different traits. A multiple comparison test showed that significant variation in all physiological and morphological traits, with respect to the parent variety (J411) in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. The quantitative expression of starch metabolic genes revealed that eleven genes of JE0173 and twelve genes of JE0218 had consistent expression in high starch mutant lines. Similarly, in low starch mutant lines, eleven genes of JE0089 and thirteen genes of JE0418 had consistent expression in all stages of seed development. An additional two candidate genes showed over-expression (PHO1, PUL) in the high starch mutant lines, indicating that other starch metabolic genes may also contribute to the starch biosynthesis. The overexpression of SSII, SSIII and SBEI in JE0173 may be due to presence of missense mutations in these genes and SSI also showed overexpression which may be due to 3-primer_UTR variant. These mutations can affect the other starch related genes and help to increase the starch content in this mutant line (JE0173). CONCLUSIONS This study screened a large scale of mutant population and identified mutants, could provide useful genetic resources for the study of starch biosynthesis and genetic improvement of wheat in the future. Further study will help to understand new genes which are responsible for the fluctuation of total starch.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Plant height (PH) and spike compactness (SC) are important agronomic traits that affect yield improvement in wheat crops. The identification of the loci or genes responsible for these traits is thus of great importance for marker-assisted selection in wheat breeding. RESULTS In this study, we used a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population with 139 lines derived from a cross between the mutant Rht8-2 and the local wheat variety NongDa5181 (ND5181) to construct a high-density genetic linkage map by applying the Wheat 40 K Panel. We identified seven stable QTLs for PH (three) and SC (four) in two environments using the RIL population, and found that Rht8-B1 is the causal gene of qPH2B.1 by further genetic mapping, gene cloning and gene editing analyses. Our results also showed that two natural variants from GC to TT in the coding region of Rht8-B1 resulted in an amino acid change from G (ND5181) to V (Rht8-2) at the 175th position, reducing PH by 3.6%~6.2% in the RIL population. Moreover, gene editing analysis suggested that the height of T2 generation in Rht8-B1 edited plants was reduced by 5.6%, and that the impact of Rht8-B1 on PH was significantly lower than Rht8-D1. Additionally, analysis of the distribution of Rht8-B1 in various wheat resources suggested that the Rht8-B1b allele has not been widely utilized in modern wheat breeding. CONCLUSIONS The combination of Rht8-B1b with other favorable Rht genes might be an alternative approach for developing lodging-resistant crops. Our study provides important information for marker-assisted selection in wheat breeding.

Abstract
Heavy ion beam (HIB) is an effective physical mutagen that has been widely used in plant mutational breeding. Systemic knowledge of the effects caused by different HIB doses at developmental and genomic levels will facilitate efficient breeding for crops. Here we examined the effects of HIB systematically. Kitaake rice seeds were irradiated by ten doses of carbon ion beams (CIB, 25 - 300 Gy), which is the most widely used HIB. We initially examined the growth, development and photosynthetic parameters of the M1 population and found that doses exceeding 125 Gy caused significant physiological damages to rice. Subsequently, we analyzed the genomic variations in 179 M2 individuals from six treatments (25 - 150 Gy) via whole-genome sequencing (WGS). The mutation rate peaks at 100 Gy (2.66×10-7/bp). Importantly, we found that mutations shared among different panicles of the same M1 individual are at low ratios, validating the hypothesis that different panicles may be derived from different progenitor cells. Furthermore, we isolated 129 mutants with distinct phenotypic variations, including changes in agronomic traits, from 11,720 M2 plants, accounting for a 1.1% mutation rate. Among them, about 50% possess stable inheritance in M3. WGS data of 11 stable M4 mutants, including three lines with higher yields, reveal their genomic mutational profiles and candidate genes. Our results demonstrate that HIB is an effective tool that facilitates breeding, that the optimal dose range for rice is 67 - 90% median lethal dose (LD50), and that the mutants isolated here can be further used for functional genomic research, genetic analysis, and breeding.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Anaemia during pregnancy is a significant public health problem that adversely impacts both the mother and foetus. However, the factors influencing maternal anaemia in deprived areas of Northwestern China have not yet been thoroughly investigated. This study aimed to describe the prevalence and potential influencing factors of anaemia among expectant mothers in rural areas of Northwestern China. STUDY DESIGN This was a cross-sectional survey. METHODS A cross-sectional survey of 586 expectant mothers was conducted to investigate the prevalence of anaemia, prenatal healthcare coverage, dietary diversity and nutrient supplementation intake. The study population was selected from the sample areas using a random sampling method. Data were collected through a questionnaire, and haemoglobin concentrations were measured by a capillary blood test. RESULTS The results show that 34.8% of the study population were anaemic, with 13% having moderate-to-severe anaemia. The results of the regression analysis showed that diet was not significantly associated with haemoglobin concentrations or the prevalence of anaemia. However, regular prenatal healthcare attendance was found to be an important influencing factor for both haemoglobin concentration (β = 3.67, P = 0.002) and the prevalence of anaemia (odds ratio = 0.59, P = 0.011). CONCLUSIONS Pregnant women receiving regular prenatal care were less likely to be anaemic; thus, it is essential to implement strategies to improve attendance at maternal public health services to reduce the prevalence of maternal anaemia.

Abstract
KEY MESSAGE A minor-effect QTL, Qhd.2AS, that affects heading date in wheat was mapped to a genomic interval of 1.70-Mb on 2AS, and gene analysis indicated that the C2H2-type zinc finger protein gene TraesCS2A02G181200 is the best candidate for Qhd.2AS. Heading date (HD) is a complex quantitative trait that determines the regional adaptability of cereal crops, and identifying the underlying genetic elements with minor effects on HD is important for improving wheat production in diverse environments. In this study, a minor QTL for HD that we named Qhd.2AS was detected on the short arm of chromosome 2A by Bulked Segregant Analysis and validated in a recombinant inbred population. Using a segregating population of 4894 individuals, Qhd.2AS was further delimited to an interval of 0.41 cM, corresponding to a genomic region spanning 1.70 Mb (from 138.87 to 140.57 Mb) that contains 16 high-confidence genes based on IWGSC RefSeq v1.0. Analyses of sequence variations and gene transcription indicated that TraesCS2A02G181200, which encodes a C2H2-type zinc finger protein, is the best candidate gene for Qhd.2AS that influences HD. Screening a TILLING mutant library identified two mutants with premature stop codons in TraesCS2A02G181200, both of which exhibited a delay in HD of 2-4 days. Additionally, variations in its putative regulatory sites were widely present in natural accession, and we also identified the allele which was positively selected during wheat breeding. Epistatic analyses indicated that Qhd.2AS-mediated HD variation is independent of VRN-B1 and environmental factors. Phenotypic investigation of homozygous recombinant inbred lines (RILs) and F2:3 families showed that Qhd.2AS has no negative effect on yield-related traits. These results provide important cues for refining HD and therefore improving yield in wheat breeding programs and will deepen our understanding of the genetic regulation of HD in cereal plants.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the percentage of in-use electronic sphygmomanometers independently validated clinically in China. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey and Beijing, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang, Datong, and Shihezi were selected according to the geographical location and economic level. In each site, one tertiary hospital, two community health centers, and 20 families with electronic sphygmomanometers in use were chosen. The information of electronic sphygmomanometers including brand, model, manufacturer and production date were obtained by the trained staff. Ten electronic sphygmomanometers from each hospital, five electronic sphygmomanometers from each community health center, and one electronic sphygmomanometer from each family were surveyed, and the user's subjective judgment results and judgment basis on the accuracy of the electronic sphygmomanometer measurement were collected. We searched six registration websites (Medaval, Stride BP, dabl Educational Trust, British and Irish Hypertension Society, American Medical Association and Hypertension Canada) and two research databases (PubMed and CNKI) for the clinical validation status of each electronic sphygmomanometer. Results: A total of 200 electronic sphygmomanometers were investigated in this study, of which only 29.0% (58/200) passed independent clinical validation. When stratified by users, the percentage of being clinical validated was 46.0% (23/50) for electronic sphygmomanometers in hospitals, 42.0% (21/50) for those in community health centers and 14.0% (14/100) for those in home use, respectively, and the proportions between the three groups were significantly difference (P<0.001). Doctors in tertiary hospitals and community health service centers judged the accuracy of electronic sphygmomanometers mainly on the basis of "regular correction" (41.0% (41/100)) and "comparison with other electronic sphygmomanometers" (20.0% (20/100)), while among home users, 41.0% (41/100) were not clear about the accuracy of electronic sphygmomanometers, and 40.0% (40/100) made the judgment by "comparison with the devices in hospitals". Conclusion: The clinical validation of in-use electronic sphygmomanometers in China is low. Most of users, including healthcare professionals, are not aware of clinical validation of electronic sphygmomanometers.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the genetic characteristics of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) in people aged 20 years and under in Yichang City of Hubei Province from 2019 to 2020. Methods: Based on the Yichang Health Big Data Platform, we investigated cases 20 and under clinically diagnosed as herpes zoster in three hospitals from March 2019 to September 2020. Collecting vesicle fluid and throat swab samples of the cases and completing questionnaires to obtain basic information. Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR was used for positive identification of the virus. PCR amplification of VZV's open reading frame (ORF) and sequencing of the products to determine the VZV genotype. Analyze mutations at some specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites. Results: Among 46 cases of herpes zoster, the male to female ratio was 1.3∶1 (26∶20) and the age ranged from 7 to 20 years old. Fifteen cases had been vaccinated against varicella, including 13 and 2 cases of 1 and 2 doses, respectively. VZV strains were detected in 34 samples (73.91%), all belonging to Clade 2. Phylogenetic tree analysis of the nucleotide of ORF22 showed, compared with Clade 2 referenced strains, the sequence matching degree of nucleotide for all 34 samples was 99.0% to 100.0%. Conclusion: The main VZV strain causing herpes zoster in people aged 20 years and under in Yichang from 2019 to 2020 was Clade 2.

Abstract
Plant height is one of the most important agronomic traits that affects yield in wheat, owing to that the utilization of dwarf or semi-dwarf genes is closely associated with lodging resistance. In this study, we identified a semi-dwarf mutant, jg0030, induced by γ-ray mutagenesis of the wheat variety 'Jing411' (wild type). Compared with the 'Jing411', plant height of the jg0030 mutant was reduced by 7%-18% in two years' field experiments, and the plants showed no changes in yield-related traits. Treatment with gibberellic acid (GA) suggested that jg0030 is a GA-sensitive mutant. Analysis of the frequency distribution of plant height in 297 F3 families derived from crossing jg0030 with the 'Jing411' indicated that the semi-dwarf phenotype is controlled by a major gene. Using the wheat 660K SNP array-based Bulked Segregant Analysis (BSA) and the exome capture sequencing-BSA assay, the dwarf gene was mapped on the long arm of chromosome 2B. We developed a set of KASP markers and mapped the dwarf gene to a region between marker PH1 and PH7. This region encompassed a genetic distance of 55.21 cM, corresponding to a physical distance of 98.3 Mb. The results of our study provide a new genetic resource and linked markers for wheat improvement in molecular breeding programs.

Abstract
Background Appropriate management of esophageal food bolus impactions includes endoscopic evaluation and follow-up for potential underlying esophageal pathology. Patients who present with impactions at night may not receive optimal long-term post-endoscopy care due to patient-, physician-, or system-related factors. Purpose We aimed to evaluate the appropriateness of care for patients who present with food bolus impactions after regular daytime hours. Method We conducted a retrospective, population-based, multi-center cohort study of adult patients undergoing endoscopy for food impaction between 19:00-06:59 from 2016-2018 in the Calgary Health Zone, Canada. Appropriate post-endoscopy care was defined by a composite of a follow-up clinic visit, repeat endoscopy, other appropriate investigations (e.g., manometry), or appropriate medical treatment (e.g., proton pump inhibitor). Predictors of inappropriate care were assessed using multivariable logistic regression, expressed as adjusted odds ratios (aOR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Result(s) A total of 323 patients underwent an after-hours or overnight endoscopy for food bolus impaction. 25.4% (82/323) of patients did not receive appropriate post-endoscopy care. Predictors of inappropriate care included rural residence (aOR 2.66 [95% CI: 1.18-6.01], p=0.02), first food bolus presentation (aOR 2.38 [95% CI: 1.04-5.44], p=0.04), and absence of a specific pathology during the index procedure (aOR 3.01 [95% CI: 0.97-9.29], p=0.05), suggesting a potential association with clinician cognitive bias. Conclusion(s) One quarter of patients presenting with a food bolus impaction at night do not receive appropriate post-endoscopy care. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) is a good predictor for hospitalization cost and mortality among patients with chronic disease. However, the impact of CCI on patients after colorectal cancer surgery is unclear. This study aims to investigate the influence of comorbidity assessed by CCI on length of stay, hospitalization costs, and in-hospital mortality in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) who underwent surgical resection. METHODS This historical cohort study collected 10,271 adult inpatients for CRC undergoing resection surgery in 33 tertiary hospitals between January 2018 and December 2019. All patients were categorized by the CCI score into four classes: 0, 1,2, and ≥3. Linear regression was used for outcome indicators as continuous variables and logical regression for categorical variables. EmpowerStats software and R were used for data analysis. RESULTS Of all 10,271 CRC patients, 51.72% had at least one comorbidity. Prevalence of metastatic solid tumor (19.68%, except colorectal cancer) and diabetes without complication (15.01%) were the major comorbidities. The highest average cost of hospitalization (86,761.88 CNY), length of stay (18.13 days), and in-hospital mortality (0.89%) were observed in patients with CCI score ≥3 compared to lower CCI scores (p < .001). Multivariate regression analysis showed that the CCI score was associated with hospitalization costs (β, 7340.46 [95% confidence interval (CI) (5710.06-8970.86)], p < .001), length of stay (β, 1.91[95%CI (1.52-2.30)], p < .001), and in-hospital mortality(odds ratio (OR),16.83[95%CI (2.23-126.88)], p = .0062) after adjusted basic clinical characteristics, especially when CCI score ≥3. Notably, the most specific complication associated with hospitalization costs and length of stay was metastatic solid tumor, while the most notable mortality-specific comorbidity was moderate or severe renal disease. CONCLUSION The research work has discovered a strong link between CCI and clinical plus economic outcomes in patients with CRC who underwent surgical resection.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the predictive value of 68Ga-labelled prostate-specific membrane antigen-11 (68Ga-PSMA-11) integrated positron-emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in PBRM1-deficient clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 41 patients with ccRCC, were enrolled retrospectively and underwent 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT preoperatively. Radiological parameters, including CT attenuation value and maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax), were derived. Immunohistochemical and multiple immunofluorescences staining were performed to evaluate the PBRM1 status and immune response. The predictive value of imaging factors was analysed using a receiver operator characteristic curve analysis. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to investigate the relationship between clinical and radiological variables and PBRM1 status. RESULTS A total of 41 patients were included in this study, with 14 patients having PBRM1-deficient status. The tumour diameter on imaging and SUVmax differed significantly in patients with different PBRM1 expression statuses and no difference in CT attenuation was identified. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses showed SUVmax was an obvious predictor for identification of PBRM1-deficient tumours. In addition, PBRM1-deficient tumours tended to be accompanied by greater cytotoxic T-cell infiltration, although most of them were in an exhausted state. CONCLUSIONS 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT could be used to discriminate invasive PBRM1-deficient ccRCC.

Abstract
ALV-J-SD1005 strain was subcutaneously inoculated into the necks of 1-day-old HY-Line Brown chickens and caused severe growth retardation, viremia and subcutaneous fibrosarcomas in the necks of all infected chickens from 14 days post inoculation (DPI) to 21 DPI, and also significantly increased the expressions of TRIM25, P53, etc., but significantly decreased the expressions of 14-3-3σ, etc. Overexpression of chicken TRIM25 (chTRIM25) significantly promoted cell proliferation and improved the expressions of P53, CDC2, and CDK2 tumor factors; and significantly inhibited the expression of 14-3-3σ in ALV-J-SD1005-infected DF1 cells; but knockdown of chTRIM25 caused the opposite effects. The results of co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) and confocal microscopy confirmed that chTRIM25 can recognize and bind 14-3-3σ protein in ALV-J-SD1005-infected cells, and they were co-located in the cytoplasm. It can be concluded that chTRIM25 participates in the fibrous tissue hyperplasia induced by ALV-J-SD1005 infections in chickens by binding 14-3-3σ protein and regulating the expressions of 14-3-3σ, P53, CDC2, and CDK2.

Abstract
This study focuses on clarifying the regulation of chicken 14-3-3σ protein on the fibrous histiocyte proliferation caused by ALV-J-SD1005 strain infection. DF-1 cells were inoculated with 102 TCID50 of ALV-J-SD1005 strain; the cell proliferation viability was dramatically increased and 14-3-3σ expressions were dramatically decreased within 48 h after inoculation. Chicken 14-3-3σ over-expression could significantly decrease the cell proliferation and the ratio of S-phase cells, but increase the ratio of G2/M-phase cells in ALV-J-infected DF-1 cells; by contrast, chicken 14-3-3σ knockdown expression could cause the opposite effects. Additionally, chicken 14-3-3σ over-expression could also dramatically down-regulate the expressions of CDK2/CDC2, but up-regulate p53 expressions in the DF-1 cells; in contrast, the knockdown expression could significantly increase the expressions of CDK2/CDC2 and decrease p53 expressions. It can be concluded that chicken 14-3-3σ can inhibit cell proliferation and cell cycle by regulating CDK2/CDC2/p53 expressions in ALV-J-infected DF1 cells. ALV-J-SD1005 strain can promote cell proliferation by reducing 14-3-3σ expressions. This study helps to clarify the forming mechanism of acute fibrosarcoma induced by ALV-J infection.

Abstract
This study focused on preparing a new IgG-type monoclonal antibody (MAb) against subgroup K avian leukosis virus (ALV-K) and identifying its biochemical characteristics. A specific gene fragment of ALV-K was amplified by polymerase chain reaction and expressed in E. coli. The purified expressed products were inoculated into BALB/c mice to prepare antibody-secreting spleen lymphocytes, and hybridoma cells were obtained after cell fusion of spleen lymphocytes and myeloma cells. A new hybridoma cell line named 30B9, which stably secreted IgG2b-antibody against ALV-K, was screened and contained 98 chromosomes. The MAb secreted by the 30B9 cells could recognize the ALV-K strain but not the ALV-A/B/J strains in an indirect immunofluorescence assay. Seventeen overlapping truncated ALV-K gp85 protein fragments were expressed, and eight peptides were artificially synthesized to analyze the MAb's antigen epitope by Western blot or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the results showed that the linear epitope was located on the 217-RRNYT-221 of ALV-K gp85 protein. A bioinformatics analysis showed that the epitope has a high antigenicity index, hydrophilicity, and surface accessibility and forms a unique linear spatial structure. Its five amino acids are highly conserved in all published ALV-K strains but are very low in ALV-A/B/J/C/D/E strains. This study provides a new biomaterial for developing specific detection methods against ALV-K.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the application value of 3D Slicer software assisted domestic frameless stereotactic robot in biopsy of intracranial lesions. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 80 patients who admitted consecutively and underwent intracerebral lesions biopsy with the domestic frameless stereotactic robot at Department of Neurosurgery, Aerospace Central Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021. There were 36 males and 44 females, with a mean age of (38.5±18.0) years (range: 6 to 71 years). Before surgery only enhanced T1-weighted three-dimensional magnetization prepared gradient echo sequences and diffusion tensor imaging scans were performed. Self-reconstruction of intracranial lesions, cerebral cortex and blood vessels was carried out using 3D Slicer software system after the DICOM format imaging data of 80 patients were collected. These imaging data were merged to the workstation of the domestic frameless stereotactic robot for preoperative surgical planning and the surgical puncture path was designed to avoid blood vessels in the brain functional area, cerebral cortex and sulcus. Results: All frameless stereotactic biopsy were successfully performed. Postoperative pathological diagnosis included 50 cases of diffuse astrocytic and oligodendroglioma, 15 cases of lymphoma, 5 cases of metastatic tumors, 5 cases of inflammatory demyelinating disease, 2 cases of inflammatory granuloma, 1 case of hemangioma, 1 case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia intracranial invasion and 1 case of seminoma. The positive diagnosis rate was 100% (80/80). Postoperative imaging confirmed that the puncture path and target were accurately implemented according to the preoperative planning, and the target error was (1.32±0.44) mm (range: 0.55 to 1.99 mm). One case of puncture-related bleeding occurred at the target after surgery and improved after treatment. Conclusion: The three-dimensional multimodal images reconstructed by the 3D Slicer software before operation could help the surgeons make the preoperative planning and reduce the risk of stereotactic brain biopsy.
