Non-specific uptake of 18F-FAPI-04 in the pancreas and its related factors: a post-hoc analysis of an ongoing prospective clinical trial. Sci Rep 2024; 14:11141. Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of the non-specific uptake (NSU) of 18F-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (18F-FAPI) of the pancreas and investigate the related factors. Totally, 78 patients who underwent both 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) and 18F-FAPI PET/CT examinations were divided into normal (n = 53) and NSU (n = 25) groups. The differences in general information, medical history, laboratory indexes and uptake were compared. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to analyze the optimal cut-off values. The correlations between 18F-FAPI-SUVmax and blood cell analysis, liver function indexes, tumor markers, and inflammatory indices were analyzed. The logistic regression model was used to estimate the independent factors. Both 18F-FAPI (4.48 ± 0.98 vs. 2.01 ± 0.53, t = 11.718, P < 0.05) and 18F-FDG (2.23 ± 0.42 vs. 2.02 ± 0.44, t = 2.036, P = 0.045) showed significantly higher in NSU group. Patients in the NSU group tended to be complicated with a history of drinking (P = 0.034), chronic liver diseases (P = 0.006), and surgery of gastrectomy (P = 0.004). ROC analysis showed cutoff values of 3.25 and 2.05 for 18F-FAPI and 18F-FDG in identifying the NSU. Patients in the NSU group showed less platelet count, higher platelet volume, higher total bilirubin, direct or indirect bilirubin (P < 0.05). Platelet count, platelet crit, large platelet ratio, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), α-L-fucosidase, and total, direct or indirect bilirubin were correlated with 18F-FAPI-SUVmax (P < 0.05). AST [1.099 (1.014, 1.192), P = 0.021] and total bilirubin [1.137 (1.035, 1.249), P = 0.007] were two independent factors in the step forward logistic regression, and platelet/% [1.079 (1.004, 1.160), P = 0.039] and total bilirubin [1.459 (1.016, 2.095), P = 0.041] were two independent factors in the step backward logistic regression for the prediction of pancreatic uptake of 18F-FAPI. 18F-FAPI-PET/CT was better than 18F-FDG in predicting the pancreatic NSU, and NSU is related to a history of drinking, chronic liver diseases, gastrectomy, heteromorphic platelet, and impaired liver function.

Abstract
AIM To determine clinical and fluorine-18 prostate-specific membrane antigen-1007 (18F-PSMA-1007) integrated positron-emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) features that could be used to interpret indeterminate bone lesions (IBLs) and assess the prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa) in patients with IBLs. MATERIALS AND METHODS Consecutive patients who underwent PSMA PET/CT were analysed retrospectively. IBLs were identified as benign or malignant based on follow-up imaging and clinical management. Lesion- and patient-based assessments were performed to define features predictive of bone lesion results and determine clinical risk. Patients' prognosis was analysed based on clinical characteristics, including prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), respectively. RESULTS A total of 105 patients (mean age ± SD, 72.1 ± 8 years) were evaluated and 158 IBLs were identified. Fifty-three (33.5%), 36 (22.8%), and 69 (43.7%) IBLs were benign, malignant, and equivocal, respectively. Variables including location, maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax), and lymph node metastases (LNM) were related to the benignancy or malignancy of IBLs (p=0.046, p<0.001 and p<0.001, respectively). Regression analysis indicated that LNM, SUVmax, and location of IBLs could be predictors of lesion interpretation (p<0.001, p=0.002 and p=0.035). Patients with benign IBLs experienced the most considerable decreases in PSA and ALP levels. CONCLUSIONS LNM, SUVmax, and location may contribute to IBL interpretation. A rapid decrease in PSA and ALP levels might suggest a better prognosis for patients with benign IBLs.

[Small tidal volume hyperventilation relieves intraocular and intracranial pressure elevation in prone spinal surgery: a randomized controlled trial]. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of different ventilation strategies on intraocular pressure (IOP) and intracranial pressure in patients undergoing spinal surgery in the prone position under general anesthesia. METHODS Seventy-two patients undergoing prone spinal surgery under general anesthesia between November, 2022 and June, 2023 were equally randomized into two groups to receive routine ventilation (with Vt of 8mL/kg, Fr of 12-15/min, and etCO2 maintained at 35-40 mmHg) or small tidal volume hyperventilation (Vt of 6 mL/kg, Fr of18-20/min, and etCO2 maintained at 30-35 mmHg) during the surgery. IOP of both eyes (measured with a handheld tonometer), optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD; measured at 3 mm behind the eyeball with bedside real-time ultrasound), circulatory and respiratory parameters of the patients were recorded before anesthesia (T0), immediately after anesthesia induction (T1), immediately after prone positioning (T2), at 2 h during operation (T3), immediately after supine positioning after surgery (T4) and 30 min after the operation (T5). RESULTS Compared with those at T1, IOP and ONSD in both groups increased significantly at T3 and T4(P < 0.05). IOP was significantly lower in hyperventilation group than in routine ventilation group at T3 and T4(P < 0.05), and ONSD was significantly lower in hyperventilation group at T4(P < 0.05). IOP was positively correlated with the length of operative time (r=0.779, P < 0.001) and inversely with intraoperative etCO2 at T3(r=-0.248, P < 0.001) and T4(r=-0.251, P < 0.001).ONSD was correlated only with operation time (r=0.561, P < 0.05) and not with IOP (r=0.178, P>0.05 at T3; r=0.165, P>0.05 at T4). CONCLUSION Small tidal volume hyperventilation can relieve the increase of IOP and ONSD during prone spinal surgery under general anesthesia.

Abstract
Trimethylamine (TMA), Dimethylamine (DMA), Ammonia (NH3) and formaldehyde (HCHO) are typical volatile gases and able to cause great damage to the environment and the human body, and they may appear along in some particular cases such as marine meat spoilage. However, gas sensors can detect all the 4 hazardous gases simultaneously have rarely been reported. In this study, a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) gas sensor modified with La-Ce-MOF was employed for the detection of 4 target gases (TMA, DMA, NH3 and HCHO). The sensor exhibited excellent stability (63 days), selectivity (3.51 Hz/(μmoL/L) for TMA, 4.19 Hz/(μmoL/L) for DMA, 3.14·Hz/(μmoL/L) for NH3 and 3.08·Hz/(μmoL/L) for HCHO), robustness and sensitivity towards target gases detection. Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package calculations showed that this superior sensing performance was attributed to the preferential adsorption of target gas molecules onto the nanomicrospheres via hydrogen bond. The adsorption energy was - 0.4329 eV for TMA, - 0.5204 eV for DMA, - 0.6823 eV for NH3 and - 0.7576 eV for HCHO, all of which are physically adsorbed. In the detection of hazardous gases, sensor surface active sites were often susceptible to environmental factors and interfering substances, leading to a decrease in the sensitivity of the gas sensor, which in turn affects the signal accuracy in practical applications. This issue has been effectively addressed and the sensor has been implemented for the assessment of the salmon meat freshness, which may contribute to further advancements in the development of QCM gas sensors for monitoring food quality, human beings health and environment safety.

Abstract
AIM To assess the predictive value of T2-weighted (T2W) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in combination with diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) for determining the pathological grading of solid lung adenocarcinoma. MATERIALS AND METHODS The clinical and imaging data from 153 cases of solid lung adenocarcinoma (82 men, 71 women, mean age 63.2 years) confirmed at histopathology in The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2017 to May 2022 were analysed retrospectively. Adenocarcinomas were classified into low-grade (G1 and G2) and high-grade (G3) groups following the 2020 pathological grading system proposed by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. The T2-weighted contrast ratio (T2CR), calculated as the T2 signal intensity of the lung mass/nodule divided by the T2 signal intensity of the right rhomboid muscle was utilised. Two experienced radiologists reviewed the MRI images independently, measured the T2CR, and obtained apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values. The Mann-Whitney U-test was used to compare general characteristics (sex, age, maximum diameter), T2CR, and ADC values between the low-grade and high-grade groups. The non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test determined differences in T2CR and ADC values among the five adenocarcinoma subtypes. Receiver characteristic curve (ROC) analysis, along with area under the curve (AUC) calculation, assessed the effectiveness of each parameter in distinguishing the pathological grade of lung adenocarcinoma. A Z-test was used to compare the AUC values. RESULTS Among the 153 patients with adenocarcinoma, 103 had low-grade adenocarcinoma, and 50 had high-grade adenocarcinoma. The agreement between T2CR and ADC observers was good (0.948 and 0.929, respectively). None of the parameters followed a normal distribution (p<0.05). The ADC value was lower in the high-grade adenocarcinoma group compared to the low-grade adenocarcinoma group (p=0.004), while the T2CR value was higher in the high-grade group (p=0.011). Statistically significant differences were observed in maximum diameter and gender between the two groups (p<0.001 and p=0.005, respectively), while no significant differences were noted in age (p=0.980). Among the five adenocarcinoma subtypes, only the lepidic and micropapillary subtypes displayed statistical differences in ADC values (p=0.047), with the remaining subtypes showing no statistical differences (p>0.05). The AUC values for distinguishing high-grade adenocarcinoma from low-grade adenocarcinoma were 0.645 for ADC and 0.627 for T2CR. Combining T2CR, ADC, sex, and maximum diameter resulted in an AUC of 0.778, sensitivity of 70%, and specificity of 75%. This combination significantly improved diagnostic efficiency compared to T2CR and ADC alone (p=0.008, z = 2.624; p=0.007, z = 2.679). CONCLUSION The MRI quantitative parameters are useful for distinguishing the pathological grades of solid lung adenocarcinoma, offering valuable insights for precise lung cancer treatment.

Abstract
The rapid growth of population and economy has led to an increase in urban air pollutants, greenhouse gases, energy shortages, environmental degradation, and species extinction, all of which affect ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health. Atmospheric pollution sources are divided into direct and indirect pollutants. Through analysis of the sources of pollutants, the self-functioning of different plants can be utilized to purify the air quality more effectively. Here, we explore the absorption of greenhouse gases and particulate matter in cities as well as the reduction of urban temperatures by plants based on international scientific literature on plant air pollution mitigation, according to the adsorption, dust retention, and transpiration functions of plants. At the same time, it can also reduce the occurrence of extreme weather. It is necessary to select suitable tree species for planting according to different plant functions and environmental needs. In the context of tight urban land use, the combination of vertical greening and urban architecture, through the rational use of plants, has comprehensively addressed urban air pollution. In the future, in urban construction, attention should be paid to the use of heavy plants and the protection and development of green spaces. Our review provides necessary references for future urban planning and research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This retrospective study aims to evaluate the diagnostic value of volume measurement of central pulmonary arteries using computer tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) for predicting pulmonary hypertension (PH). METHODS A total of 59 patients in our hospital from November 2013 to April 2021 who underwent both right cardiac catheterization (RHC) and CTPA examination were included. Systolic pulmonary artery pressure (SPAP), mean PAP (mPAP), and diastolic PAP (DPAP) were acquired from RHC testing. Patients were divided into the non-PH group (18 cases) and the PH group (41 cases). The diameters of the main pulmonary artery (DMPA), right pulmonary artery (DRPA), and left pulmonary artery (DLPA) were measured manually. A 3D model software was used for the segmentation of central pulmonary arteries. The cross-sectional areas (AMPA, ARPA, ALPA) and the volumes (VMPA, VRPA, VLPA) were calculated. Measurements of the pulmonary arteries derived from CTPA images were compared between the two groups, and correlated with the parameters of RHC testing. ROC curves and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to evaluate the benefit of the three-dimensional CTPA parameters for predicting PH. A multiple linear regression model with a forward-step approach was adopted to integrate all statistically significant CTPA parameters for PH prediction. RESULTS All parameters (DMPA, DRPA, DLPA, AMPA, ARPA, ALPA, VMPA, VRPA, and VLPA) of CTPA images exhibited significantly elevated in the PH group in contrast to the non-PH group (P < 0.05), and showed positive correlations with the parameters of RHC testing (mPAP, DPAP, SPAP) (r ranged 0.586~0.752 for MPA, 0.527~0.640 for RPA, and 0.302~0.495 for LPA, all with P < 0.05). For the MPA and RPA, 3D parameters showed higher correlation coefficients compared to their one-dimensional and two-dimensional counterparts. The ROC analysis indicated that the VMPA showed higher area under the curves (AUC) than the DMPA and AMPA without significance, and the VRPA showed higher AUC than the DRPA and ARPA significantly (DRPA vs. VRPA, Z = 2.029, P = 0.042; ARPA vs. VRPA, Z = 2.119, P = 0.034). The DCA demonstrated that the three-dimensional parameters could provide great net benefit for MPA and RPA. The predictive equations for mPAP, DPAP, and SPAP were formulated as [8.178 + 0.0006 * VMPA], [1.418 + 0.0005 * VMPA], and [-11.137 + 0.0006*VRPA + 1.259 * DMPA], respectively. CONCLUSION The 3D volume measurement of the MPA and RPA based on CTPA images maybe more informative than the traditional diameter and cross-sectional area in predicting PH.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Femoral neck system (FNS) is a new type of internal fixation system which has been widely used for treating femoral neck fractures (FNFs).Compared with other internal fixation methods, FNS is minimally invasive and stable, and often achieves satisfactory short-term efficacy.Early failure of FNS (EFFNS) is not uncommon, however, there are few literatures and reports on factors associated with EFFNS.This study aimed to survey the prevalence and risk factors of EFFNS. METHODS We retrospectively analysed 62 patients with FNFs and underwent FNS fixation between 2019 and 2021. Demographic data, clinical characteristics, radiographic features and treatment process were described. Multifactor logistic regression analysis was used to analyse the different influencing factors. RESULTS Out of the 62 FNFs patients, 10 patients (16.1%) developed EFFNS, including 6 cases of severe femoral neck shortening, 2 cases of screw-out, 1 case of avascular necrosis of the femoral head and 1 case of nonunion. In the failure group, all patients were younger than 65 years old, which was significantly higher than 59.6% in the healing group (P = 0.012). There were no significant differences in sex(P = 0.490), BMI (P = 0.709), injured side (P = 0.312), injury mechanism (P = 0.617), reduction method(P = 0.570),femoral neck-shaft angle(P = 0.545), Pauwels classification (P = 0.564) and Garden classification (P = 0.195). Moreover, we not found that Garden classification (P = 0.464) and age (P = 0.128) were statistically significant risk factors for EFFNS at multivariate analysis. CONCLUSION In this study, sex, BMI, injury side, injury mechanism, reduction method, Pauwels angle, femoral neck-shift angle, Pauwels classification and Garden classification were excluded as EFFNS risk factors. Moreover, our study demonstrated that age and Garden classification were not significant risk factors at multivariate analysis. TRIAL REGISTRATION ChiCTR, ChiCTR2100051360. Abstract
BACKGROUND Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT is a highly regarded radionuclide imaging modality for prostate cancer (PCa). This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT in detecting intraprostatic lesions of PCa using radical prostatectomy (RP) specimens as a reference standard and to establish an optimal maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) cutoff for distinguishing between PCa and non-PCa lesions. METHODS We retrospectively collected 117 patients who underwent 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT before RP. The uptake of the index tumor and contralateral non-PCa lesion was assessed. Histopathology of RP specimens was used as the gold standard. Kappa test was used to evaluate the consistency of preoperative PSMA PET/CT staging and postoperative pathological staging. Finally, an SUVmax cutoff value was identified by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to distinguish PCa lesions from non-PCa lesions. A prospective cohort including 76 patients was used to validate the results. RESULTS The detection rate of 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT for prostate cancer was 96.6% (113/117). 18F-PSMA-1007 had a sensitivity of 91.2% and a positive predictive value (PPV) of 89.8% for the identification of intraprostatic lesions. The consistency test (Kappa = 0.305) indicated poor agreement between the pathologic T-stage and PSMA PET/CT T-stage. Based on ROC curve analysis, the appropriate SUVmax to diagnose PCa lesions was 8.3 (sensitivity of 71.3% and specificity 96.8%) with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.93 (P < 0.001). This SUVmax cutoff discriminated PCa lesions from non-PCa lesions with a sensitivity of 74.4%, a specificity of 95.8% in the prospective validation group. CONCLUSIONS 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT demonstrated excellent performance in detecting PCa. An optimal SUVmax threshold (8.3) could be utilized to identify lesions of PCa by 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT. Abstract
AIM To investigate the improvement of image quality and visualisation of the anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap perforators on computed tomography angiography (CTA) after administration of sublingual glyceryl trinitrate (GTN). MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty patients with oral lesions received thigh CTA examinations were divided randomly into two groups after administration of sublingual GTN (GTN group) or without administration of sublingual GTN (non-GTN group). Two radiologists calculated the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), and assessed the image quality of each vessel. Besides, the grade of thigh artery, the lumen diameter of deep femoral artery, lateral circumflex femoral artery (LCFA), the descending branch of LCFA and its proximal and distal perforators, and the number and type of visible perforators were evaluated quantitatively. RESULTS The SNR and CNR were not significantly different between the two groups (p>0.05). The image quality of CTA in the GTN group was significantly better than that in the non-GTN group (p<0.01). The lumen diameters of the deep femoral artery, LCFA, the descending branch of LCFA and its perforators were significantly larger in the GTN group than those in the non-GTN group (p<0.01). Compared with the non-GTN group, the number of visible perforators and the number of visible septocutaneous perforators were significantly more in the GTN group, and the qualitative grade of visible perforators was significantly higher (p<0.001). CONCLUSIONS The administration of sublingual GTN in preoperative thigh CTA can improve the image quality and visualisation of perforator vessels, thus could help surgeons to select the optimum ALT flaps.

Abstract
In this work, a portable multichannel detection instrument based on time-resolved fluorescence immunochromatographic test strip (TRFIS) was proposed for on-site detecting pesticide residues in vegetables. Its hardware consisted of a silicon photodiode and excitation light source array, a mainboard of the lower machine with STMicroelectronics 32 (STM32) and a linear stepping motor. While detecting, cardboard with 6-channel TRFIS was pulled into the cassette by the stepping motor. The peak area of the test (T) line and control (C) line of each TRFIS was sampled and calculated by software, then the concentration of the detected pesticide was obtained according to the ratio of the T to C value. This instrument could sample 6-channel TRFIS within 30 s simultaneously, and it exhibited excellent accuracy with a 2.5% average coefficient of variation for each channel (n = 12). In addition, the TRFIS was constructed by using europium oxide time-resolved fluorescent microspheres to label the monoclonal antibody against acetamiprid and form a fluorescent probe, which was fixed on the binding pad. The TRFIS was used for the detection of acetamiprid in celery cabbage, cauliflower and baby cabbage. This instrument was used to complete the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the TRFIS, so as to enhance the practical application of the detection method. This TRFIS possessed excellent linearity ranging from 0.25 mg kg-1 to 1.75 mg kg-1 for the detection of acetamiprid, and the limit of detection were 0.056-0.074 mg kg-1 in the different vegetable matrix. The platform combines the accuracy and portability of traditional test strips with the highly sensitive and efficient fluorescence intensity recognition function of detection equipment, which shows a great application prospect of multi-channel rapid detection of small molecule pollutants in the field.

Abstract
PURPOSE The accurate assessment of axillary lymph node metastasis (LNM) in early-stage breast cancer (BC) is of great importance. This study aimed to construct an integrated model based on clinicopathology, ultrasound, PET/CT, and PET radiomics for predicting axillary LNM in early stage of BC. MATERIALS AND METHODS 124 BC patients who underwent 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18 F-FDG) PET/CT and whose diagnosis were confirmed by surgical pathology were retrospectively analyzed and included in this study. Ultrasound, PET and clinicopathological features of all patients were analyzed, and PET radiomics features were extracted to establish an ultrasound model (clinicopathology and ultrasound; model 1), a PET model (clinicopathology, ultrasound, and PET; model 2), and a comprehensive model (clinicopathology, ultrasound, PET, and radiomics; model 3), and the diagnostic efficacy of each model was evaluated and compared. RESULTS The T stage, US_BIRADS, US_LNM, and PET_LNM in the positive axillary LNM group was significantly higher than that of in the negative LNM group (P = 0.013, P = 0.049, P < 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively). Radiomics score for predicting LNM (RS_LNM) for the negative LNM and positive LNM were statistically significant difference (-1.090 ± 0.448 vs. -0.693 ± 0.344, t = -4.720, P < 0.001), and the AUC was 0.767 (95% CI: 0.674-0.861). The ROC curves showed that model 3 outperformed model 1 for the sensitivity (model 3 vs. model 1, 82.86% vs. 48.57%), and outperformed model 2 for the specificity (model 3 vs. model 2, 82.02% vs. 68.54%) in the prediction of LNM. The AUC of mode 1, model 2 and model 3 was 0.687, 0.826 and 0.874, and the Delong test showed the AUC of model 3 was significantly higher than that of model 1 and model 2 (P < 0.05). Decision curve analysis showed that model 3 resulted in a higher degree of net benefit for all the patients than model 1 and model 2. CONCLUSION The use of a comprehensive model based on clinicopathology, ultrasound, PET/CT, and PET radiomics can effectively improve the diagnostic efficacy of axillary LNM in BC. Abstract
Bioinks are formulations of biomaterials and living cells, sometimes with growth factors or other biomolecules, while extrusion bioprinting is an emerging technique to apply or deposit these bioinks or biomaterial solutions to create three-dimensional (3D) constructs with architectures and mechanical/biological properties that mimic those of native human tissue or organs. Printed constructs have found wide applications in tissue engineering for repairing or treating tissue/organ injuries, as well as in vitro tissue modelling for testing or validating newly developed therapeutics and vaccines prior to their use in humans. Successful printing of constructs and their subsequent applications rely on the properties of the formulated bioinks, including the rheological, mechanical, and biological properties, as well as the printing process. This article critically reviews the latest developments in bioinks and biomaterial solutions for extrusion bioprinting, focusing on bioink synthesis and characterization, as well as the influence of bioink properties on the printing process. Key issues and challenges are also discussed along with recommendations for future research.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To propose a sensitivity test method for geometric correction position deviation of cone-beam CT systems. METHODS We proposed the definition of center deviation and its derivation. We analyzed the influence of the variation of the three-dimensional spatial center of the steel ball point, the projection center and the size of the steel ball point on the deviation of geometric parameters and the reconstructed image results by calculating the geometric correction parameters based on the Noo analytical method using the FDK reconstruction algorithm for image reconstruction. RESULTS The radius of the steel ball point was within 3 mm. The deviation of the center of the calibration parameter was within the order of magnitude and negligible. A 10% Gaussian perturbation of a single pixel in the 3D spatial coordinates of the steel ball point produced a deviation of about 3 pixel sizes, while the same Gaussian perturbation of the 2D projection coordinates of the steel ball point produced a deviation of about 2 pixel sizes. CONCLUSION The geometric correction is more sensitive to the deviation generated by the three-dimensional spatial coordinates of the steel ball point with limited sensitivity to the deviation generated by the two-dimensional projection coordinates of the steel ball point. The deviation sensitivity of a small diameter steel ball point can be ignored.

Abstract
Rationale To explore the clinical role of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in differentiating malignant pleural effusion (MPE) from benign pleural effusion (BPE) in patients with lung cancer. Methods Over a 8-year period, we retrospectively reviewed PET/CT data of lung cancer patients with pleural effusion, with 237 participants enrolled for analysis. The nature of pleural effusion was confirmed using pleural cytology or biopsy. MPE versus BPE comparison and multiple regression analysis were performed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used for evaluating the diagnostic performance. Results Of the 237 participants, 170 had MPEs and 67 had BPEs. Compared with BPEs, MPEs had higher pleural SUVmax and thicker pleura and were more common among non-small cell lung cancers, peripheral tumors, and women (p < 0.05). BPEs had larger and higher 18F-FDG uptake thoracic lymph nodes and more complications of pneumonia (p < 0.05) than MPEs. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify the pleural SUVmax (odds ratio, OR = 38.8), sex (OR = 0.033), and mediastinal lymphoid node size (OR = 0.86) as independent risk factors for MPEs. The sensitivity, specificity, and area under the ROC curve (AUC) in the combined ROC curve analysis by using the three factors were 95.3%, 95.5%, and 0.989, respectively. Conclusion 18F-FDG PET/CT integrated imaging is an effective non-invasive method for differential diagnosis of MPE in patients with lung cancer. Pleural SUVmax combined with thoracic lymph nodes and sex has high diagnostic value.

Abstract
Objective This study aimed to evaluate predictors for upgrading of newly diagnosed prostate cancer from systematic biopsy (SB) to radical prostatectomy (RP) using fluorine-18 prostate-specific membrane antigen 1007 (18F-PSMA-1007) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) and association with clinical parameters. Materials and methods We retrospectively collected data from biopsy-confirmed prostate cancer (PCa) patients who underwent 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT prior to RP from July 2019 and October 2022. Imaging characteristics derived from 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT and clinical parameters were compared in patients of pathological upgrading and concordance subgroups. Univariable and multivariable logistic regressions were performed to analyze factors predicting histopathological upgrading from SB to RP specimens. Discrimination ability of independent predictors was further evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis with corresponding area under the curve (AUC). Results Pathological upgrading occurred in 26.97% (41/152) PCa patients, and 23.03% (35/152) of all patients experienced pathological downgrading. Concordance rate reached 50% (76/152). International Society of Urological Pathology grade group (ISUP GG) 1(77.78%) and ISUP GG 2 (65.22%) biopsies were related with the highest rate of upgrading. Multivariable logistic regression analyses showed that prostate volume (OR= 0.933; 95% CI, 0.887-0.982; p = 0.008), ISUP GG 1 vs. 4 (OR= 13.856; 95% CI: 2.467-77.831; p = 0.003), and total uptake of PSMA-avid lesions (PSMA-TL) (OR = 1.003; 95% CI, 1.000-1.006; p = 0.029) were found to be independent risk factors of pathological upgrading after RP. The AUCs and corresponding sensitivity and specificity of the independent predictors of synthesis for upgrading were 0.839, 78.00%, and 83.30% respectively, which showed good discrimination capacity. Conclusion 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT may help to predict pathological upgrading between biopsy and RP specimens, particularly for ISUP GG 1 and ISUP GG 2 patients with higher PSMA-TL and smaller prostate volume.

Abstract
PURPOSE The role of radiation therapy in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is poorly defined. The objective of this study was to explore the factors associated with the performance of radiotherapy and to assess its prognostic impact in patients with MALT lymphoma. PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients with MALT lymphoma diagnosed between 1992 and 2017 were identified in the US Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (SEER). Factors associated with the delivery of radiotherapy were assessed by chi-square test. Overall survival (OS) and lymphoma-specific survival (LSS) were compared between patients with and without radiotherapy, using Cox proportional hazard regression models, in patients with early stage as well as those with advanced stage. RESULTS Of the 10,344 patients identified with a diagnosis of MALT lymphoma, 33.6% had received radiotherapy; this rate was 38.9% for stage I/II patients and 12.0% for stage III/IV patients, respectively. Older patients and those who already received primary surgery or chemotherapy had a significantly lower rate of receiving radiotherapy, regardless of lymphoma stage. After univariate and multivariate analysis, radiotherapy was associated with improved OS and LSS in patients with stage I/II (HR=0.71 [0.65-0.78]) and (HR=0.66 [0.59-0.74]), respectively, but not in patients with stage III/IV (HR=1.01 [0.80-1.26]) and (HR=0.93 [0.67-1.29]). The nomogram built from the significant prognostic factors associated with overall survival of stage I/II patients had a good concordance (C-index=0.749±0.002). CONCLUSION This cohort study shows that radiotherapy is significantly associated with a better prognosis in patients with early but not advanced MALT lymphoma. Prospective studies are needed to confirm the prognostic impact of radiotherapy in patients with MALT lymphoma.

Abstract
AIM To develop and validate a nomogram model that combines computed tomography (CT)-based radiological factors extracted from deep-learning and clinical factors for the early predictions of immune checkpoint inhibitor-related pneumonitis (ICI-P). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty ICI-P patients and 101 patients without ICI-P were divided randomly into the training (n=113) and test (n=28) sets. The convolution neural network (CNN) algorithm was used to extract the CT-based radiological features of predictable ICI-P and calculated the CT score of each patient. A nomogram model to predict the risk of ICI-P was developed by logistic regression. RESULTS CT score was calculated from five radiological features extracted by the residual neural network-50-V2 with feature pyramid networks. Four predictors of ICI-P in the nomogram model included a clinical feature (pre-existing lung diseases), two serum markers (absolute lymphocyte count and lactate dehydrogenase), and a CT score. The area under curve of the nomogram model in the training (0.910 versus 0.871 versus 0.778) and test (0.900 versus 0.856 versus 0.869) sets was better than the radiological and clinical models. The nomogram model showed good consistency and better clinical practicability. CONCLUSION The nomogram model that combined CT-based radiological factors and clinical factors can be used as a new non-invasive tool for the early prediction of ICI-P in lung cancer patients after immunotherapy with low cost and low manual input.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) can be used to differentiate benign and malignant pulmonary nodules or masses, while T2WI is also of great value in the differential diagnosis of them. For example, T2WI can be used to differentiate abscess from lung cancer. The study aims to quantitatively evaluate the efficacy of free-breathing BLADE fat-suppressed T2 weighted turbo spin echo sequence (BLADE T2WI) for differentiating lung cancer (LC) and benign pulmonary nodule or mass (BPNM). METHODS A total of 291 patients with LC (197 males, 94 females; mean age 63.2 years) and 74 BPNM patients (53 males, 21 females; mean age 62.8 years) who underwent BLADE T2WI at 3-T MRI between November 2016 and May 2022were included in this retrospective study. Two radiologists independently blinded observed the MR images and measured the T2 contrast ratio (T2CR). Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare T2CR values between the two groups, ROC curves were used to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of BLADE T2WI. RESULTS The two radiologists had good inter-observer consistency for T2CR (ICC = 0.958). The T2CR of BPNM was significantly higher than LC (all p < 0.001); the cut-off value of T2CR was 2.135, and the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of diagnosis were 75.6%, 63.5%, and 73.2%, respectively. Moreover, T2CR correctly diagnosed 220 LC cases (220/291 = 75.6%) and 47 BPNM cases (47/74 = 63.5%). CONCLUSION The T2CR value of MR non-enhanced BLADE T2WI can be easily obtained and can quantitatively distinguish BPNM from LC, thus avoiding misdiagnosis caused by lack of work experience.

A series of bi- or mononuclear hexacoordinate iron(III) complexes, [Fe(L)][Fe(bpb)(CN)2]·CH3OH·0.5H2O (1), [Fe(L)] [Co(bpb)(CN)2]·CH3OH (2) [(Fe (L))2(4,4’-bipy)](BPh4)2 (3), [Fe(L)(py)](BPh4) (4) and [Fe(L)(dmap)](BPh4) (5) (bpb = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)benzenate, L = N,N’-bis(2-hydroxybenzyliden)-1,7-diamino-4-azaheptane, dmap = 4-dimethylaminopyridine), have been prepared with the pentadentate Schiff base iron(III) compound as assemble precursor and characterized by element analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction. Single crystal structural determination revealed the neutral cyanide-bridged binuclear entity for complexes 1 and 2 and the cationic di- or mononuclear structure for complexes 3–5 with the positive charge(s) balanced by BPh4 – ion(s). The experimental study and theoretical simulation of the magnetic property discovered the ferromagnetic coupling between the Fe(III) ions bridged by cyanide group in complex 1 and the always high spin state of the Fe(III) ion coordinated to the Schiff base ligand in both complexes 1 and 2. The temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility investigation over complexes 3–5 showed the occurrence of the thermo-induced gradual complete spin crossover (SCO) property at about 115, 170 and 200 K, respectively.

Abstract
Social adaptation of migrant children is not only related to the physical and mental health and development of individuals, but also reflects the level of urban social integration and stable development. Mindfulness has a protective effect on individual social adaptation. Self-esteem and resilience were found to be positively associated with mindfulness and social adaptation. Based on the Positive Youth Development Perspective, this study aimed to explore whether self-esteem and resilience sequentially mediated the associations among mindfulness and social adaptation. A total of 526 migrant children were assessed with the questionnaires regarding mindfulness, self-esteem, resilience, and social adaptation. The results indicated that mindfulness was positively associated with social adaptation of migrant children. Self-esteem and resilience played the sequential mediating roles between mindfulness and social adaptation. The present study revealed the influence and mechanism of mindfulness on social adaptation and provided some guidance for the intervention programs to promote migrant children's adaptability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of Fluoride-18 (18F)-PSMA-1007-PET/CT radiomics for the tumor malignancy and clinical risk stratification in primary prostate cancer (PCa). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 161 pathological proven PCa patients in a single center were retrospectively analyzed. Prostate-specific antigen (PSA), Gleason Score (GS) and PET/CT indexes (SUVmin, SUVmax, and SUVmean) were compared according to risk stratification. Radiomics features were extracted from PCa 18F-PSMA-1007-PET/CT imaging. The radiomics score integrating all selected parameters and clinicopathologic characteristics was used to construct a binary logistic regression and nomogram classifier. Predictors contained in the individualized prediction nomogram included radiomics score, PSA level and metastasis status. RESULTS The radiomics signature, which consisted of 30 selected features, was significantly associated with PSA level and Gleason score (P < 0.001 for both primary and validation cohorts). Predictors contained in the individualized prediction nomogram included radiomics score, PSA level and metastasis status. The model showed good discrimination with an area under the ROC curve of 0.719 for the GS. Combined clinical-radiomic score nomogram had a similar benefit to utilizing the PET/CT radiomic features alone for GS discrimination. CONCLUSION The 18F-PSMA-1007-PET/CT radiomics signature can be used to facilitate preoperative individualized prediction of GS; incorporating the radiomics signature, PSA level, and metastasis status had similar benefits to those of utilizing the PET/CT radiomics features alone.

Abstract
ObjectiveThe prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT is potentially identifying patients with oligo-metastasis who would be deemed to only have localized disease in the traditional approaches. However, the best selected oligo-metastasis prostate cancer (PCa) patients most likely to benefit from system androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) are still unknown. The aim of this study was to explore the potential 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT parameters and clinicopathologic characteristics for oligo-metastasis PCa discrimination and follow-up evaluation.Materials and methodsA total of 180 retrospective patients with different metastasis burdens (PCa of none-metastases, oligo-metastases, and poly-metastases), different metastasis status (untreated and recurrent oligo-metastases), and follow-up ADT were included respectively. A one-way analysis of variance was used to evaluate whether PET/CT parameters and clinicopathologic characteristics were different and univariate/multivariate logistic regression models were applied to assess independent predictors in the metastasis burdens group (89/180). Selected predictors were further compared between different metastasis statuses to test the diagnostic accuracy (69/180). The predictor efficiency was evaluated by the ROC and the cut-off value was used to test the ADT response-to-treatment with a longitudinal cohort (22/180) from untreated baseline to 3-15 months.ResultsThe significant group differences were observed on SUVmax (P = 0.012), International Society of Urologic Pathologists (ISUP, P<0.001) and Gleason Score (P<0.001). Poly-Metastases patients had higher SUVmax, ISUP and Gleason Score compared to Non-Metastases and Oligo-Metastases patients, respectively (P<0.05, all), and no difference between Non-Metastases and Oligo-Metastases. The SUVmax, ISUP and Gleason Score were independent predictors for metastasis burdens discrimination. The untreated and recurrent oligo-metastases lesions SUVmax were also different (P = 0.036). The AUC of ROC for oligo-metastasis prediction was 0.658 (P = 0.039) when the primary prostatic carcinoma focus SUVmax was higher than 28.22, ADT response-to-treatment patients (5/5 in 22) were all progress in a follow-up test.ConclusionThe SUVmax can discriminate PCa metastasis degree and oligo-metastasis status. The ADT-treated oligo-metastasis patient may still have disease progression when the primary prostatic carcinoma focus SUVmax is greater than 28.22.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the ability of a T2-weighted (W) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based radiomics signature to differentiate solid non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) from small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). MATERIALS AND METHODS The present retrospective study enrolled 152 eligible patients (NSCLC = 125, SCLC = 27). All patients underwent MRI using a 3 T scanner and radiomics features were extracted from T2W MRI. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) logistic regression model was used to identify the optimal radiomics features for the construction of a radiomics model to differentiate solid NSCLC from SCLC. Threefold cross validation repeated 10 times was used for model training and evaluation. The conventional MRI morphology features of the lesions were also evaluated. The performance of the conventional MRI morphological features, and the radiomics signature model and nomogram model (combining radiomics signature with conventional MRI morphological features) was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. RESULTS Five optimal features were chosen to build a radiomics signature. There was no significant difference in age, gender, and the largest diameter. The radiomics signature and conventional MRI morphological features (only pleural indentation and lymph node enlargement) were independent predictive factors for differentiating solid NSCLC from SCLC. The area under the ROC curves (AUCs) for MRI morphological features, and the radiomics model, and nomogram model was 0.69, 0.85, and 0.90 (ROC), respectively. CONCLUSIONS The T2W MRI-based radiomics signature is a potential non-invasive approach for distinguishing solid NSCLC from SCLC.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the dynamic changes and influencing factors of HIV-1 DNA load in HIV-1 infected individuals under antiretroviral therapy (ART) in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, and provide information support for the clinical use of HIV-1 DNA quantitative detection. Methods: The HIV infection cases in recent infection cohort from Dehong Center for Disease Control and Prevention during 2009-2018 were selected as study subjects. The dynamic curve of HIV-1 DNA load varrying with time was generated and logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the risk factors for HIV-1 load in the recent follow up after ART and statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS 17.0. Results: Among the 113 HIV infection cases detected from the recent infection cohort, the recent HIV infection rate were 49.6%(56/113) males, sexual transmission cases and drug injection transmission cases accounted for 53.1% (60/113), 80.5% (91/113) and 19.5% (22/113), respectively. The dynamic changes curve showed that HIV-1 DNA load was relatively high (>800 copies /106 PBMCs) before ART, and droped rapidly (<400 copies /106 PBMCs) after ART for 1 year. However, HIV-1 DNA load decreased insignificantly from the second year of ART, and remained to be 269 copies/106 PBMCs after ART for 6 years. Univariable logistic regression analysis indicated that OR (95%CI) of CD8, CD4/CD8 and HIV-1 DNA load were 1.00 (1.00-1.00), 0.30 (0.09-1.05) and 1.01 (1.00-1.01), respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that OR value of HIV-1 DNA load base was 1.00 (1.00-1.01). Conclusions: HIV-1 DNA load decreased significantly in the first year of ART, then remained stable for years. HIV-1 DNA load base was the key factor associated with the decrease of HIV-1 DNA load, the lower the HIV-1 DNA load base, the lower HIV-1 DNA load. Therefore, earlier ART can contribute to the decrease of HIV-1 DNA load.

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the prediction performance of 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT and clinicopathologic characteristics on prostate cancer (PCa) risk stratification and distant metastatic prediction. Materials and Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 101 consecutively patients with biopsy or radical prostatectomy proved PCa who underwent 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT. The semi-quantitative analysis provided minimum, maximum and mean standardized uptake (SUVmin, SUVmax and SUVmean) of PCa. Association between clinicopathologic characteristics (total prostate-specific antigen, tPSA and Gleason Score, GS) and PET/CT indexes were analyzed. The diagnostic performance of distant metastatic on PET/CT parameters, tPSA and GS was evaluated using logistic regression analyses. A path analysis was conducted to evaluate the mediating effect of tPSA level on the relation between semi-quantitative parameters of primary tumors and metastatic lesions. Results The PET/CT parameters were all higher in high risk stratification subgroups (tPSA>20 ng/mL, GS ≥ 8, and tPSA>20 ng/mL and/or GS ≥ 8, respectively) with high sensitivity (86.89%, 90.16% and 83.61%, respectively). The SUVmax, tPSA and GS could effectively predict distant metastatic with high sensitivity of SUVmax (90.50%) compared with tPSA (57.14%) and GS (55.61%). With a cutoff value of 29.01ng/mL for tPSA, the detection rate of distant metastasis between low and high prediction tPSA group had statistical differences (50.00% vs. 76.60%, respectively; P = 0.006) which was not found on guideline tPSA level (P>0.05). 6/15 (40%) patients tPSA between 20ng/mL to 29.01ng/mL without distant metastases may change the risk stratification. Finally, tPSA had a partial mediating effect on SUVmax of primary tumors and metastases lesions. Conclusion The 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT SUVmax has a higher sensitivity and can be an “imaging biomarker” for primary PCa risk stratification. The prediction tPSA level (29.01 ng/mL) is more conducive to the assessment of distant metastasis and avoid unnecessary biopsy.

Abstract
Based on the necessity and urgency of detecting infectious disease marker procalcitonin (PCT), a novel unlabeled photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunosensor was prepared for the rapid and sensitive detection of PCT. Firstly, SnO2 porous nanoflowers with good photocatalytic performance were prepared by combining hydrothermal synthesis and calcining. BiOI nanoflowers were synthesized by facile ultrasonic mixed reaction. Ag2S quantum dots were deposited on SnO2/BiOI composites by in situ growth method. The SnO2/BiOI/Ag2S composites with excellent photoelectric properties were employed as substrate material, which could provide significantly enhanced and stable signal because of the energy level matching of SnO2, BiOI and Ag2S and the good light absorption performance. Accordingly, a PEC immunosensor based on SnO2/BiOI/Ag2S was constructed by using the layered modification method to achieve high sensitivity analysis of PCT. The linear dynamic range of the detection method was 0.50 pg·mL-1~100 ng·mL-1, and the detection limit was 0.14 pg·mL-1. In addition, the designed PEC immunosensor exhibited satisfactory sensitivity, selectivity, stability and repeatability, which opened up a new avenue for the analyzation of PCT and further provided guidance for antibiotic therapy.

Abstract
Self-assembly of [Hg(SeCN)4]2- tetrahedral building blocks, iron(II) ions, and a series of bis-monodentate pyridyl-type bridging ligands has afforded the new heterobimetallic HgII-FeII coordination polymers {Fe[Hg(SeCN)3]2(4,4'-bipy)2}n (1), {Fe[Hg(SeCN)4](tvp)}n (2), {Fe[Hg(SeCN)3]2(4,4'-azpy)2}n (3), {Fe[Hg(SeCN)4](4,4'-azpy)(MeOH)}n (4), {Fe[Hg(SeCN)4](3,3'-bipy)}n (5) and {Fe[Hg(SeCN)4](3,3'-azpy)}n (6) (4,4-bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine, tvp = trans-1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene, 4,4'-azpy = 4,4'-azobispyridine, 3,3-bipy = 3,3'-bipyridine, 3,3'-azpy = 3,3'-azobispyridine). Single-crystal X-ray analyses show that compounds 1 and 3 display a two-dimensional robust sheet structure made up of infinite linear [(FeL)n]2n+ (L = 4,4'-bipy or 4,4'-azpy) chains linked by in situ formed {[Hg(L)(SeCN)3]2}2- anionic dimeric bridges. Complexes 2 and 4-6 define three-dimensional networks with different topological structures, indicating, in combination with complexes 1 and 3, that the polarity, length, rigidity, and conformation of the bridging organic ligand play important roles in the structural nature of the products reported here. The magnetic properties of complexes 1 and 2 show the occurrence of temperature- and light-induced spin crossover (SCO) properties, while complexes 4-6 are in the high-spin state at all temperatures. The current results provide a new route for the design and synthesis of new SCO functional materials with non-Hofmann-type traditional structures.

Abstract
Background:Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have a substantially increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). An individual VTE risk assessment is important to ensure that all patients are assessed and given adequate thromboprophylaxis.Objectives:We conducted this study to develop a risk score for VTE in patients with SLE.Methods:Patients with SLE who participated in the Chinese SLE Treatment and Research group were enrolled in this study. Patient baseline information and clinical laboratory indicators were obtained, and VTE events were recorded every 3-6 months during follow-up visits. The risk prediction model was created and internally validated using the bootstrap methods, and a scoring system was established (Figure 1).Figure 1.Flow chart of study design.Results:Out of 4,502 patients included in this study, 135 had a VTE event. After univariate analysis and Lasso regression, the following 11 variables were identified and included in the risk prediction model: male sex, age, BMI ≥25 kg/m2, hyperlipidemia, hypoalbuminemia, hsCRP>3 mg/L, renal involvement, nervous system involvement, anti-β2-glycoprotein I antibody positivity, lupus anticoagulant positivity, and no use of hydroxychloroquine. The AUC for the SLE-VTE score (Table 1) was 0.947 (95% CI, 0.9249-0.9694). The SLE-VTE score’s sensitivity and specificity with the optimal cutoff value of 13 were 0.919 and 0.881, respectively. Abstract
Metastases from prostate cancer (PCa) to the penis are extremely rare, and few case reports exist in the literature. Because most patients usually present with multiple distant metastases at diagnosis, the prognosis is very poor. With the wide application of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT, penile metastases may be detected at an early stage. Thus, questions regarding whether early diagnosis and precise treatment will equate to a survival advantage have recently been raised. In the present study, we reported 3 cases of penile metastasis from castration-resistant PCa. Moreover, a patient with asymptomatic penile metastases was diagnosed by 18F-PSMA PET/CT followed by lesion biopsy, and the prognosis was very well, despite with an aggressive pathological feature and low treatment intensity. In addition, we performed a literature review and found 62.5% of asymptomatic penile metastases were diagnosed by PSMA PET/CT in past seven years. Thus, we believe that PSMA PET/CT may detect more asymptomatic penile metastases in future, which led to early diagnosis, treatment and survival advantage.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the effect of radiomics obtained from different virtual monochromatic images (VMIs) in dual-energy spectral computed tomography (CT) on the World Health Organization/International Association for Urological Pathology (WHO/ISUP) classification of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective study of 99 ccRCC patients who underwent contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT was undertaken. ccRCC was confirmed at surgery or biopsy and graded according to the WHO/ISUP pathological grading criteria as low grade (n=68, grade I and II) or high grade (n=31, grade III and IV). Radiomics risk scores (RRSs) for differentiating high and low grades of ccRCC were constructed from 11 sets of VMI in (40-140 keV, 10 keV interval) the cortical phase. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn and the area under the curves (AUCs) was calculated to evaluate the discriminatory power of RRS for each VMI. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test was used to evaluate the goodness-of-fit of each model and the decision curve was used to analyse its net benefit to patients. RESULTS The AUC values for distinguishing low-from high-grade ccRCC with RRS of 40-140 keV VMIs were all >0.920. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test showed that the p-values of RRS of VMIs were >0.05, suggesting good fits. In the decision curve analysis, RRS from the 40-140 keV VMIs had similar decision curves and provided better net benefits than considering all patients either as high-grade or low-grade. CONCLUSIONS The RRS obtained from multiple VMIs in dual-energy spectral CT have high diagnostic efficiencies for distinguishing between low- and high-grade ccRCC with no significant differences between different VMIs.

Abstract
Deep investigation, profiling of chemical diversity of constituent compounds and discovery of novel structures is a great challenge. A novel comprehensive and effective approach to mine trace unknown compounds combined with structure recognition in complex matrix is developed, in order to profiling potential Chlorogenic acids (CGAs) in Lonicera Flos (LFs): using multiple neutral loss/precursor ion (NL/PI) markers scans combined with high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). The workflow included (i) Fragmentation rules deduced by Q-orbitrap and selection of multiple NL/PI markers. (ii) Multiple NL/PI marker scans and grouping of peaks that had responses on two or more channels. (iii) Alignment of peaks in Full-MS scan and multiple NL/PI scans. (iv) The precursor ions list was introduced to mine novel CGAs according to simulated molecular formula. (v) Identification and structure recognition with the aid of HRMS. The procedure proved to be valid to screen and identify 51 CGAs from Lonicera Flos (LFs) with 16 categories, especially dihydroxyphenyl and glucoside for the first time. Its application could also be extended for global profiling of other complicated chemical systems, such as Chinese medicinal formulas.

Abstract
Kallikrein-associated peptidase 11 (KLK11) has emerged as a key tumor-associated protein that is implicated in a wide spectrum of tumor types. However, the detailed involvement of KLK11 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) has not been well studied. The aims of our work were to evaluate whether KLK11 plays a role in LSCC. We found that both the mRNA and protein expression of KLK11 were significantly lower in LSCC tissues than in normal tissues. Low expression of KLK11 was also observed in LSCC cell lines, and the up-regulation of KLK11 caused a significant inhibitory effect on the proliferation, colony formation and invasion of LSCC cells. On the contrary, the knockdown of KLK11 markedly accelerated the proliferative and invasive abilities of LSCC cells. Molecular mechanism research revealed that KLK11 overexpression decreased the phosphorylation of glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) and down-regulated the expression of active β-catenin, leading to the inactivation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling in LSCC cells. Furthermore, GSK-3β inhibition markedly abrogated the KLK11-mediated suppressive effect on Wnt/β-catenin signaling. Notably, the reactivation of Wnt/β-catenin partially reversed KLK11-mediated tumor-inhibition effect in LSCC. In addition, the xenograft tumor assay demonstrated that the up-regulation of KLK11 retarded tumor formation and the growth of LSCC cells in vivo. Taken together, the findings of our work demonstrate that KLK11 exerts a tumor-inhibition role in LSCC by down-regulating Wnt/β-catenin signaling. Our work highlights a pivotal role of KLK11 in LSCC progression and suggests it as an attractive anticancer target for LSCC treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Calcification was recently found to be present in the majority of cerebral aneurysms, though how calcification and the presence or absence of co-localized lipid pools affect failure properties is still unknown. OBJECTIVE The primary objective is to quantify the biomechanical effect of a macro-calcification with surrounding Near-Calcification Region (NCR) of varying mechanical properties on tissue failure behavior. METHODS We utilized a structurally informed finite element model to simulate pre-failure and failure behavior of a human cerebral tissue specimen modeled as a composite containing a macro-calcification and surrounding NCR, embedded in a fiber matrix composite. Data from multiple imaging modalities was combined to quantify the collagen organization and calcification geometry. An idealized parametric model utilizing the calibrated model was used to explore the impact of NCR properties on tissue failure. RESULTS Compared to tissue without calcification, peak stress was reduced by 82% and 49% for low modulus (representing lipid pool) and high modulus (simulating increase in calcification size) of the NCR, respectively. Failure process strongly depended on NCR properties with lipid pools blunting the onset of complete failure. When the NCR was calcified, the sample was able to sustain larger overall stress, however the failure process was abrupt with nearly simultaneous failure of the loaded fibers. CONCLUSIONS Failure of calcified vascular tissue is strongly influenced by the ultrastructure in the vicinity of the calcification. Computational modeling of failure in fibrous soft tissues can be used to understand how pathological changes impact the tissue failure process, with potentially important clinical implications.

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of supplemented l-arginine (l-Arg) in broiler breeder hens' diets on the embryonic development and physiological changes of offspring during the hatching period. A total of 480 35-wk-old healthy female Arbor Acres broiler breeders were randomly divided into 6 groups and fed a corn and soybean meal diet with 6 digestible Arg levels (0.96%, 1.16%, 1.35%, 1.55%, 1.74%, and 1.93%). After a 10-wk experiment, eggs were collected for incubation. At embryonic day (E) 11 to E21, eggs, embryos, and organs (liver, breast muscle, and thigh muscle) were weighed. Total protein, urea nitrogen, creatinine, cholesterol, and triglyceride in plasma, were measured. Plasma level of immunoglobulin G (IgG), immunoglobulin M (IgM), and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) were measured at E13, E17, and E21. Messenger RNA expression of carbamoyl phosphate synthase I (CPS1), ornithine transcarbamylase (OTC), and argininosuccinate synthase (ASS) in liver and breast muscle tissues was assessed at E13, E17, and E21. The results showed that 1.16% Arg in maternal diet increased egg weight (P < 0.05). The level of Arg in maternal diet has a significant effect on organ index and embryo weight of multiple embryonic days (P < 0.05). Embryonic plasma total protein concentration was significantly affected by maternal dietary Arg level (P < 0.05) and exhibited quadratic responses at E11, E15, E17, and E21 (P < 0.01). Plasma urea nitrogen, creatinine, triglyceride, and cholesterol level were also significantly affected by the level of maternal Arg at different embryonic ages (P < 0.05). Dietary digestible Arg levels quadratically influenced plasma urea nitrogen level at E21 (P < 0.05) and cholesterol concentration at E17 and E19 (P < 0.01). L-Arg supplementation in maternal diet significantly improved the IgG level at E17 and E21 (1.16%, 1.35%, 1.55%, and 1.74%; P < 0.05), the IgM level at E13 (1.35%, 1.55%, 1.74%, and 1.93%) and E17 (P < 0.05) and the NOS level at E13, E17, and E21 (P < 0.05). Maternal dietary L-Arg supplementation significantly improved the expression of CPS1 gene, OTC gene (1.16%, 1.35%, and 1.55%), and ASS gene (1.35% and 1.55%) in the liver (P < 0.05), and also enhanced the CPS1 gene (except 1.35%) and OTC gene (1.55% and 1.74%) expression in the breast muscle (P < 0.05). In conclusion, maternal Arg level affected the embryonic development of offspring and regulated the apparent metabolic programming and immunity state of the embryo. Arginine level of 1.55% in hens' diet was beneficial to the protein synthesis and immunity of the offspring in the embryonic period, and it was recommended to obtain healthy offspring.

Abstract
Dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) has shown a great potential for lowering range uncertainties, which is necessary for truly leveraging the Bragg peak in proton therapy. However, analytical stopping-power-ratio (SPR) estimation methods have limitations in resolving the influence from the beam-hardening artifact, i.e. CT number variation of the same object scanned under different imaging conditions, such as different patient size and location in the field-of-view (FOV). We present a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based framework to estimate proton SPR that accounts for patient geometry variation and addresses CT number variation. The proposed framework was tested on both prostate and head-and-neck (HN) patient datasets. Simulated CT images were used in order to have a well-defined ground-truth SPR for evaluation. Two training scenarios were evaluated: training with patient CT images (ideal scenario) and training with computational phantoms (realistic scenario). For the training in ideal scenario, computational phantoms were created based on 120 kVp patient CT images using a custom-defined density and material translation curve. Then, 80 kVp and 150 kVp Sn DECT image pairs were obtained using ray-tracing simulation, and their corresponding SPR was calculated from the known density and elemental compositions. For the training in realistic scenario, computational phantoms were created based on the geometry of calibration phantoms. For both scenarios, evaluation was performed on the phantoms created from patient CT images. Compared to a conventional parametric model, U-net trained with computational phantoms (realistic scenario) reduced the SPR estimation uncertainty (95th percentile) of the prostate patient from 1.10% to 0.71%, and HN patient from 2.11% to 1.20%. With the U-net trained with patient images (ideal scenario) uncertainty values were 0.32% and 0.42% for prostate and HN patients, respectively. These results suggest that CNN has great potential to improve the accuracy of SPR estimation in proton therapy by incorporating individual patient geometry information.
