Abstract
BACKGROUND Standard triple therapy is commonly prescribed Helicobacter pylori eradication regimen in Europe. However, the world is witnessing declines in eradication success. It is crucial to find better treatment options. AIMS To evaluate efficacy, compliance and side effects of H. pylori eradication treatment by adding Saccharomyces boulardii . METHODS We conducted a randomized clinical trial within the GISTAR cohort, consisting of healthy individuals aged 40-64 years. Participants were administered clarithromycin-containing triple therapy (clarithromycin 500 mg, amoxicillin 1000 mg, esomeprazole 40 mg) twice daily. Randomization was applied based on two factors: 1)addition of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 500 mg BID or not; 2)treatment duration of 10 or 14 days. Treatment completion and adverse events were assessed via telephone interview 21-28 days after medication delivery. The efficacy was evaluated using a 13C-urea breath test (UBT) six months after treatment. RESULTS Altogether 404 participants were enrolled; data on adverse events were available from 391. Overall, 286 participants received follow-up UBT. Intention-to-treat analysis revealed higher eradication rates for 10-day probiotic treatment (70.8% vs. 54.6%, P = 0.022), but not for 14-day. Probiotic subgroups combined showed non-significantly higher efficacy in per-protocol analysis (90.6% vs. 85.0%, P = 0.183). S. boulardii reduced the frequency of adverse events ( P = 0.033) in 14-day regimen, particularly treatment-associated diarrhea ( P = 0.032). However, after the adjustment to control Type I error, results lost their significance. CONCLUSION Addition of S. boulardii to 14-day clarithromycin-containing triple regimen non-significantly lowers the likelihood of diarrhea and does not increase the eradication rate.

Abstract
In this study, two novel multiple resonance (MR) emitters, DtCzBN and Cy-DtCzBN, were designed based on the well-known BCzBN structure and synthesized for narrowband solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Cy-DtCzBN possesses a dimeric V-shaped structure formed by coupling two individual DtCzBN units via a nonconjugated cyclohexane linker. When compared with DtCzBN, Cy-DtCzBN, as a medium-sized molecule, was found to maintain the optical and photophysical properties of the corresponding monomeric unit, DtCzBN, but exhibits high thermal stability, excellent solubility, and good film-forming ability. Additionally, solution-processed OLEDs were fabricated by using two sets of molecules: one set of small molecular hosts and emitters (i.e., mCP and DtCzBN) and the other set of medium-sized molecular hosts and emitters (i.e., Cy-mCP and Cy-DtCzBN). Notably, devices using medium-sized molecular hosts and emitters exhibited similar optical and photophysical properties but showed significantly improved reproducibility and thermal stability compared with those based on small molecular hosts and emitters. Our current study provides some insights into molecular design strategies for thermally stable hosts and emitters, which are highly suitable for solution-processed OLEDs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS Nationwide organized gastric cancer (GC) screening programs have been running for decades in South Korea and Japan. This study conducted a quasi-experimental analysis to assess the population impact of these programs on GC mortality. METHODS We used the flexible synthetic control method (SCM) to estimate the effect of the screening programs on age-standardized GC mortality and other upper gastrointestinal (UGI) diseases (esophageal cancer and peptic ulcer) among people aged ≥40 years. World Health Organization mortality data and country-level covariates from the World Bank and the Global Burden of Diseases study were used for the analyses. We compared postintervention trends in outcome with the counterfactual trend of the synthetic control and estimated average postintervention rate ratios (RRs) with associated 95% confidence intervals (CIs). A series of sensitivity analyses were conducted. RESULTS The preintervention fits were acceptable for the analyses of South Korea and Japan's GC mortality but poor for Japan's other UGI disease mortality. The average postintervention RRs were 0.83 (95% CI, 0.71-0.96) for GC mortality and 0.72 (95% CI, 0.57-0.90) for other UGI disease mortality in South Korea. The RR reached 0.59 by the 15th year after the initiation of nationwide screening. For Japan, the average RRs were 0.97 (95% CI, 0.88-1.07) for GC mortality and 0.93 (95% CI, 0.68-1.28) for other UGI disease mortality. Sensitivity analysis reveals the result for Japan may potentially be biased. CONCLUSIONS South Korea's nationwide GC screening has apparent benefits, whereas the Japanese program's effectiveness is uncertain. The experiences of South Korea and Japan could serve as a reference for other countries.

Abstract
At the end of the last century, a far-sighted 'working party' held in Sydney, Australia addressed the clinicopathological issues related to gastric inflammatory diseases. A few years later, an international conference held in Houston, Texas, USA critically updated the seminal Sydney classification. In line with these initiatives, Kyoto Global Consensus Report, flanked by the Maastricht-Florence conferences, added new clinical evidence to the gastritis clinicopathological puzzle.The most relevant topics related to the gastric inflammatory diseases have been addressed by the Real-world Gastritis Initiative (RE.GA.IN.), from disease definitions to the clinical diagnosis and prognosis. This paper reports the conclusions of the RE.GA.IN. consensus process, which culminated in Venice in November 2022 after more than 8 months of intense global scientific deliberations. A forum of gastritis scholars from five continents participated in the multidisciplinary RE.GA.IN. consensus. After lively debates on the most controversial aspects of the gastritis spectrum, the RE.GA.IN. Faculty amalgamated complementary knowledge to distil patient-centred, evidence-based statements to assist health professionals in their real-world clinical practice. The sections of this report focus on: the epidemiology of gastritis; Helicobacter pylori as dominant aetiology of environmental gastritis and as the most important determinant of the gastric oncogenetic field; the evolving knowledge on gastric autoimmunity; the clinicopathological relevance of gastric microbiota; the new diagnostic horizons of endoscopy; and the clinical priority of histologically reporting gastritis in terms of staging. The ultimate goal of RE.GA.IN. was and remains the promotion of further improvement in the clinical management of patients with gastritis.

Abstract
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a pressing global health concern. While traditional risk prediction methods such as the Framingham and American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association (ACC/AHA) risk scores have been widely used in the practice, artificial intelligence (AI), especially GPT-4, offers new opportunities. Utilizing large scale of multi-center data from 47,468 UK Biobank participants and 5,718 KoGES participants, this study quantitatively evaluated the predictive capabilities of GPT-4 in comparison with traditional models. Our results suggest that the GPT-based score showed commendably comparable performance in CVD prediction when compared to traditional models (AUROC on UKB: 0.725 for GPT-4, 0.733 for ACC/AHA, 0.728 for Framingham; KoGES: 0.664 for GPT-4, 0.674 for ACC/AHA, 0.675 for Framingham). Even with omission of certain variables, GPT-4's performance was robust, demonstrating its adaptability to data-scarce situations. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the promising role of GPT-4 in predicting CVD risks across varied ethnic datasets, pointing toward its expansive future applications in the medical practice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cognitive impairments occur on a continuous spectrum in multiple cognitive domains showing individual variability of the deteriorating patterns; however, often, cognitive domains are studied separately. METHODS The present study investigated aging individual variations of cognitive abilities and related resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) using data-driven approach. Cognitive and neuroimaging data were obtained from 62 elderly outpatients with cognitive decline. Principal component analysis (PCA) was conducted on the cognitive data to determine patterns of cognitive performance, then data-driven whole-brain connectome multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) was applied on the neuroimaging data to discover neural regions associated with the cognitive characteristic. RESULTS The first component (PC1) delineated an overall decline in all domains of cognition, and the second component (PC2) represented a compensatory relationship within basic cognitive functions. MVPA indicated rsFC of the cerebellum lobule VIII and insula with the default-mode network, frontoparietal network, and salience network inversely correlated with PC1 scores. Additionally, PC2 score was related to rsFC patterns with temporal pole and occipital cortex. CONCLUSIONS The featured primary cognitive characteristic depicted the importance of the cerebellum and insula connectivity patterns in of the general cognitive decline. The findings also discovered a secondary characteristic that communicated impaired interactions within the basic cognitive function, which was independent from the impairment severity.

Abstract
In solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), achieving high color purity and efficiency is as important as that in vacuum processes. Emitters suitable for solution processing must have excellent solubility in organic solvents, high molecular weight, and compatibility with the host materials. In this study, we synthesized a deep-blue emitter that satisfies the above conditions by introducing a 1,4-bis(indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazol-2-yl)benzene-based planar emitting core (DICz) structure and four 3,6-di-tert-butyl-9-phenyl-9H-carbazole (tCz) peripheral units, namely, 4tCz-DICz. A comparative compound, 4Hex-DICz, incorporating hexyl phenyl groups was synthesized. In contrast to 4Hex-DICz, 4tCz-DICz exhibited exceptional solubility in organic solvents and superior film-forming properties attributed to the presence of tCz units. Additionally, in the film state, the effective encapsulation of the emitting core (DICz) by the tCz units in 4tCz-DICz helps prevent undesirable molecular aggregation. The solution-processed OLEDs employing the CH-2D1 film, doped with 5 wt % 4tCz-DICz as the emitting layer, exhibited a deep-blue emission at 424 nm, characterized by a narrow bandwidth of 22 nm, and achieved a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of approximately 4.0%. In contrast, the 4Hex-DICz-based device demonstrated an EQE of 2.91%. Consequently, we have successfully demonstrated that the introduction of four bulky tCz units into the DICz core is a promising molecular design strategy for the development of soluble indolocarbazole-based emitters, especially those used in high-performance deep-blue fluorescent OLEDs.

Abstract
PURPOSE Delirium in the intensive care unit (ICU) poses a significant safety and socioeconomic burden to patients and caregivers. However, invasive interventions for managing delirium have severe drawbacks. To reduce unnecessary interventions during ICU hospitalization, we aimed to investigate the features of delirium among ICU patients according to the occurrence of hypoactive symptoms, which are not expected to require invasive intervention. MATERIALS AND METHODS Psychiatrists assessed all patients with delirium in the ICU during hospitalization. Patients were grouped into two groups: a "non-hypoactive" group that experienced the non-hypoactive motor subtype once or more or a "hypoactive only" group that only experienced the hypoactive motor subtype. Clinical variables routinely gathered for clinical management were collected from electronic medical records. Group comparisons and logistic regression analyses were conducted. RESULTS The non-hypoactive group had longer and more severe delirium episodes than the hypoactive only group. Although the non-hypoactive group was prescribed more antipsychotics and required restraints longer, the hypoactive only group also received both interventions. In multivariable logistic regression analysis, BUN [odds ratio (OR): 0.993, pH OR: 0.202], sodium (OR: 1.022), RASS score (OR: 1.308) and whether restraints were applied [OR: 1.579 (95% confidence interval 1.194-2.089), p<0.001] were significant predictors of hypoactive only group classification. CONCLUSION Managing and predicting delirium patients based on whether patients experienced non-hypoactive delirium may be clinically important. Variables obtained during the initial 48 hours can be used to determine which patients are likely to require invasive interventions.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed to compare the clinical features of panic disorder (PD) with comorbid agoraphobia to those of PD alone. We focused on autonomic nervous system (ANS) alterations reflected in heart rate variability (HRV) and executive function deficits reflected in the Stroop test. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively compared psychometric features, Stroop test results, and resting-state HRV across three groups: a subclinical group with anxiety attack history, a PD group without agoraphobia, and a PD group with agoraphobia. The subclinical group included 10 male and 34 female, the PD without agoraphobia group included 17 male and 19 female, and the PD with agoraphobia group included 11 male and 18 female. RESULTS The PD with agoraphobia group had higher Symptom Checklist-95 scores than the other groups. Both PD groups had longer reaction times in the Stroop test than the subclinical group. There were no significant differences in HRV parameters between the PD groups with and without agoraphobia. Compared with the subclinical group, the PD with agoraphobia group showed significantly lower values of the natural logarithm of low-frequency HRV. CONCLUSION Our results do not support that executive function deficits and ANS alterations are more pronounced with comorbid agoraphobia among PD groups. However, PD with agoraphobia patients showed more complex and severe clinical symptoms in their self-reports. Compared with the subclinical group, PD patients with agoraphobia showed specific features in the natural logarithm of low-frequency HRV. Our findings suggest that agoraphobia comorbidity should be considered when evaluating or treating patients with PD.

Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the image quality and diagnostic performance of low-contrast-dose liver CT using a deep learning-based iodine contrast-augmenting algorithm (DLICA) for hypovascular hepatic metastases. METHODS This retrospective study included 128 patients who underwent contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT for hepatic metastasis surveillance between July 2019 and June 2022 using a 30% reduced iodine contrast dose in the portal phase. Three image types were reconstructed: 50-keV virtual monoenergetic images (50-keV VMI); linearly blended images simulating 120-kVp images (120-kVp); and post-processed 120-kVp images using DLICA (DLICA 120-kVp). Three reviewers evaluated lesion conspicuity, image contrast, and subjective image noise. We also measured image noise, contrast-to-noise ratios (CNRs), and signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). The diagnostic performance for hepatic metastases was evaluated using a jackknife alternative free-response receiver operating characteristic method with the consensus of two independent radiologists as the reference standard. RESULTS DLICA 120-kVp demonstrated significantly higher CNR of lesions to liver (5.7 ± 3.1 vs. 3.8 ± 2.1 vs. 3.8 ± 2.1) and higher SNR compared with 50-keV VMI and 120-kVp (p < 0.001 for all). DLICA 120-kVp had significantly lower image noise than 50-kVp VMI for all regions (p < 0.001 for all). DLICA 120-kVp also exhibited superior lesion conspicuity (4.0 [3.3-4.3] vs. 3.7 [3.0-4.0] vs. 3.7 [3.0-4.0]), higher image contrast, and lower subjective image noise compared with 50-keV VMI and 120-kVp (p < 0.001 for all). Although there was no significant difference in the figure of merit for lesion diagnosis among the three methods (p = 0.11), DLICA 120-kVp had a significantly higher figure of merit for lesions with a diameter < 20 mm than 50-keV VMI (0.677 vs. 0.648, p = 0.007). On a per-lesion basis, DLICA 120-kVp also demonstrated higher sensitivity than the 50-keV VMI (81.2% vs. 72.9%, p < 0.001). The specificities per lesion were not significantly different among the three algorithms (p = 0.15). CONCLUSION DLICA at 120-kVp provided superior lesion conspicuity and image quality and similar diagnostic performance for hypovascular hepatic metastases compared with 50-keV VMI.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although efforts have been made to reduce the dose of Contrast Medium (CM) to improve patient safety, there are ongoing concerns regarding its potential effects on image quality and diagnostic performance. Moreover, research is lacking to establish a lower limit for safe and effective CM dose reduction. To determine whether the image quality of contrast-enhanced liver computed tomography (CT) using a reduced amount of iodinated CM was similar to that of standard liver CT. METHODS We enrolled participants at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma with decreased estimated glomerular filtration rates (< 60 mL/min/1.73m2). Participants were randomly assigned to the standard group or the renal protection protocol (RPP) group. In the standard group, images were reconstructed using hybrid iterative reconstruction (iDose), while in the RPP group, low monoenergetic (50-keV) images and deep learning (DL)-based iodine-boosting reconstruction were used. Four radiologists independently assessed image quality and lesion conspicuity. RESULTS Fifty-two participants were assigned to the standard (n = 25) or RPP (n = 27) groups. The iodine load was significantly lower in the RPP group than in the standard group (301.5 ± 1.71 vs. 524 ± 7.37 mgI/kg, P < 0.001). The 50-keV and DL-based iodine-boosting images from the RPP group exhibited higher image contrast than those from the standard group during arterial (3.60 ± 0.65, 3.75 ± 0.60, and 3.09 ± 0.43, respectively) and portal venous phases (4.01 ± 0.49, 3.86 ± 0.42, and 3.21 ± 0.31, respectively) (P < 0.05 for all). Overall image quality was superior in the RPP group (P < 0.05 for all). No significant difference in lesion conspicuity was observed (P > 0.017). CONCLUSIONS The reduction in image contrast and overall image quality caused by decreased CM can be restored using either low monoenergetic imaging or DL-based iodine-boosting reconstruction. Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Acquiring MR images with minimized susceptibility artifacts is essential for spines with medical hardware to delineate clinical target volumes (CTVs) in radiation therapy for chordomas, chondrosarcomas, and other sarcomas. Since it can be more challenging to visualize the primary structures in high-tesla MR images due to metal-induced artifacts, we optimized imaging parameters to acquire high-quality, low-tesla MR images for clinical use. MATERIALS/METHODS OptimalMR imaging parameters were investigated under general guidelines for artifact reduction techniques by testing several 3D spin echo and gradient echo sequences in a 0.23-T MR scanner. A customized spine phantom was developed to acquire MR images for bony materials which included, 4-6 industrial titanium screws, an aluminum plate, and a superflab bolus. While the 3D b-FFE sequence was used to acquire MR images with a high signal-to-noise ratio, the other 3D T1-FFE, THRIVE, and DTSE sequences were applied to reduce susceptible artifacts to the medical hardware. The optimized parameters determined in the phantom test were applied to the 15 clinical cases, including patients with residual spinal tumors and fusion hardware. The low-tesla MR imaging technique was also used to scan sarcomas of the extremities and re-irradiation cases of spinal metastases. RESULTS The optimized low-tesla MR images in the spine were noticeably useful to guide CTV delineations for patients with medical hardware, especially for residual or recurrent tumors. The imaging technique to minimize susceptibility artifacts enabled a more defined separation of each hardware component from the spinal cord and CTVs. In spine metastasis cases, pre-irradiated target volumes were determined, reflecting property changes in the bone marrow. CONCLUSION The MR images acquired using the optimized parameters showed minimal artifacts to scan spine patients with hardware. By using the low-tesla MR images, spinal chordoma and chondrosarcoma patients could be treated to improve tumor control probabilities with minimized complications.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) We propose to use the filtimator (a filter and a collimator) for CBCT-based image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) optimized for pediatric patients to minimize the imaging dose but not to sacrifice the imaging quality required for bony-based image fusion. MATERIALS/METHODS The filtimator was made of Tin (0.6 - 1 mm) and Cu sheets (0.6 to 1.2mm) for filter and collimation with adjustable collimation with 4 to 6 cm fields at the isocenter. The thickness of the filter in the central and the peripheral regions were determined using vendor-provided image registration software and to ensure that the rigid image registration results from the CBCT were with and without the filtimator. The image quality of the filtered CBCT was compared with the regular CBCTs. Image registration accuracy was investigated by creating a < 2° shift in pitch, roll, and rotation and < 3 cm shifts in the lateral, vertical, and longitudinal directions, using commercial head and house-made phantoms. The imaging dose reduction factor of the filtimator was measured using a CT dose index phantom. RESULTS The contrast-to-noise ratio substantially improved in the opening region of the filter, which provided better visualization of normal anatomy and target volumes. The slim filter reduced the imaging dose by > 98% in the filtered region, and the visualization of bony structures was well preserved, allowing for accurate rigid image registration with the filter. The imaging registration difference was < 0.2° shift in pitch, roll, and rotation and < 0.5 mm shift in the lateral, vertical, and longitudinal directions compared to the regular CBCT. CONCLUSION The proposed dose reduction with the filtimator was demonstrated to be efficient and effective in considerably reducing the patient imaging dose while yielding accurate registration results. This novel technique can become a valuable tool for generating 3- and 4-dimensional images with a much-reduced dose to improve the precision of target localization in radiation therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Antibiotic resistance threatens public health worldwide, and inappropriate use of antibiotics is one of the main causes. AIM To evaluate qualitative use of antibiotics in asymptomatic bacteriuria (ABU) and urinary tract infection (UTI). METHODS Cases of positive urine culture (≥105 colony-forning units/mL) performed in inpatient, outpatient and emergency departments in April 2021 were screened in 26 hospitals in the Republic of Korea. The cases were classified as ABU, lower UTI and upper UTI. The appropriateness of antibiotic use was evaluated retrospectively by infectious disease specialists using quality indicators based on clinical guidelines for ABU and UTI. RESULTS This study included a total of 2697 patients with ABU or UTI. The appropriateness of antibiotic use was assessed in 1157 patients with ABU, and in 677 and 863 patients with lower and upper UTI, respectively. Among the 1157 patients with ABU, 251 (22%) were prescribed antibiotics without appropriate indications. In 66 patients with ABU in which antibiotics were prescribed with appropriate indications, the duration was adequate in only 23 (34.8%) patients. The appropriateness of empirical and definite antibiotics was noted in 527 (77.8%) and 353 (68.0%) patients with lower UTI, and 745 (86.3%) and 583 (78.2%) patients with upper UTI, respectively. The duration of antibiotics was adequate in 321 (61.8%) patients with lower UTI and 576 (78.7%) patients with upper UTI. CONCLUSIONS This nationwide qualitative assessment of antibiotic use in ABU and UTI revealed that antibiotics were often prescribed inappropriately, and the duration of antibiotics was unnecessarily prolonged.

Abstract
Background Older adults are vulnerable to comorbid depression and anxiety symptoms; however, these conditions are widely underrecognized and often untreated. Understanding their combined manifestation using objective measurements, such as clinician-rated scales and heart rate variability (HRV), can help refine the diagnosis and select a treatment strategy for geriatric patients. Methods This study included patients over 65 years who were mainly diagnosed with either category of depressive or anxiety disorders from the psychiatric outpatient clinic in a university hospital. A total of 114 patients met eligibility with a completed collection of electrocardiograms, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS; clinician-rated depression), and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAS; clinician-rated anxiety) to assess the severity of symptoms. Both main and interaction effects between HDRS and HAS on HRV parameters were examined. Results Significant interaction effects between clinician-rated depression and anxiety (HDRS × HAS) on HRV reduction in frequency parameters (i.e., nuLF, nuHF, LF/HF ratio) were found, which consistently indicated autonomic nervous system dysregulation. Findings imply that HRV could reflect synergistic effects of comorbid depressive and anxiety symptoms, perhaps due to the amplification of individual symptoms in geriatric patients. Conclusions The results imply that using objective measurements can improve diagnostic accuracy, particularly in geriatric patients with comorbid status, and the normalization of the autonomic nervous system might be a candidate target for prevention and treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is related to working memory impairment. Since patients with OCD have difficulty controlling their obsessive thoughts, removal of irrelevant information might be important in the pathophysiology of OCD. However, little is known about brain activity during the removal of information from working memory in patients with OCD. Our goal was to explore potential deficits in inhibitory function related to working memory processes in patients with OCD. METHODS Sixteen OCD patients and 20 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited. We compared in prefrontal alpha and beta band activity derived from magnetoencephalography (MEG) between patients with OCD and HCs during multiple phases of information processing associated with working memory, especially in post-trial period of the visuospatial working memory task (the delayed matching-to-sample task), which is presumed to be related to the information removal process of working memory. RESULTS Prefrontal post-trial beta power change (presumed to occur at high levels during the post-trial period) exhibited significant reductions in patients with OCD compared to HCs. In addition, the post-trial beta power change was negatively correlated with Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised total scores in patients with OCD. CONCLUSIONS These findings suggest that impairment in the removal of information from working memory might be a key mechanism underlying the inability of OCD patients to rid themselves of their obsessions.

Abstract
Metal-halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have emerged as suitable light-emitting materials for light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and other practical applications. However, LEDs with perovskite NCs undergo environment-induced and ion-migration-induced structural degradation during operation; therefore, novel NC design concepts, such as hermetic sealing of the perovskite NCs, are required. Thus far, viable synthetic conditions to form a robust and hermetic semiconducting shell on perovskite NCs have been rarely reported for LED applications because of the difficulties in the delicate engineering of encapsulation techniques. Herein, a highly bright and durable deep-blue perovskite LED (PeLED) formed by hermetically sealing perovskite NCs with epitaxial ZnS shells is reported. This shell protects the perovskite NCs from the environment, facilitates charge injection/transport, and effectively suppresses interparticle ion migration during the LED operation, resulting in exceptional brightness (2916 cd m-2 ) at 451 nm and a high external quantum efficiency of 1.32%. Furthermore, even in the unencapsulated state, the LED shows a long operational lifetime (T50 ) of 1192 s (≈20 min) in the air. These results demonstrate that the epitaxial and hermetic encapsulation of perovskite NCs is a powerful strategy for fabricating high-performance deep-blue-emitting PeLEDs.

Abstract
PURPOSE Gastric atrophy (GA), usually linked to chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), may over time evolve into gastric malignancy. Besides H. pylori, high salt intake may play a role in GA development. This study evaluates cross sectionally the association between salt intake and GA in Chilean adults. METHODS Population-based samples were recruited from two sites, Antofagasta and Valdivia, partaking in the Epidemiological Investigation of Gastric Malignancies. At recruitment, participants answered questionnaires and provided biospecimens. Salt intake (g/day) was estimated from casual spot urine samples using the Tanaka equation. GA was determined by serum pepsinogen levels. Only participants ≥ 40 to 70 years of age were considered in this analysis, n = 565. For the association between salt intake (as sex-specific quartiles) and GA, odds ratios (ORs) and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) were estimated through multivariable logistic regression. RESULTS In women, the multivariable-adjusted OR for GA comparing quartile 4 of the estimated salt intake (12.8 g/day) to quartile 1 (6.6 g/day) was 1.18 (95% CI 0.52-2.68, P-trend = 0.87). The corresponding OR in men was 0.49 (95% CI 0.19-1.27, P-trend = 0.17) with salt intakes of 12.8 g/day and 7.1 g/day for quartiles 4 and 1, respectively. CONCLUSION There was little evidence for an association between salt intake estimated from spot urine and GA risk in our cross-sectional analysis of middle aged and older adults in Chile. Reverse causation bias cannot be ruled out and the sample size was limited to provide more precise estimates.

Abstract
Objectives Diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) is a recently introduced method for the assessment of the glymphatic system without the need for contrast injection. The purpose of our study was to assess the glymphatic system in cognitively normal older adults with or without subjective cognitive decline (SCD) using DTI-ALPS, and correlating with amyloid PET. Design and participants To evaluate the glymphatic system in cognitively normal older adults using DTI-ALPS, we built a prospective cohort including a total of 123 objectively cognitively normal older adults with or without SCD. The ALPS index was calculated from DTI MRI and was assessed by correlating it with standardized uptake value ratios (SUVRs) from amyloid PET and clinically relevant variables. The study subjects were also divided into amyloid "positive" and "negative" groups based on the result of amyloid PET, and the ALPS indices between those two groups were compared. Results The ALPS index was not significantly different between the normal and SCD groups (P = 0.897). The mean ALPS index from the amyloid positive and amyloid negative group was 1.31 and 1.35, respectively, which showed no significant difference (P = 0.308). Among the SUVRs from variable cortices, that of the paracentral cortex was negatively correlated with the ALPS index (r = -0.218, P = 0.016). Multivariate linear regression revealed that older age (coefficient, -0.007) and higher SUVR from the paracentral cortex (coefficient, -0.101) were two independent variables with a significant association with a lower ALPS index (P = 0.015 and 0.045, respectively). Conclusion DTI-ALPS may not be useful for evaluation of the glymphatic system in subjects with SCD. Older age was significantly associated with lower ALPS index. Greater amyloid deposition in the paracentral cortex was significantly associated with lower glymphatic activity in cognitively normal older adults. These results should be validated in future studies on the relationships between ALPS index and other fundamental compartments in glymphatic system, such as perivenous space and the meningeal lymphatic vessels.

Abstract
Sphingomonas sp. strain NIBR02145 is a putative chemoheterotrophic strain that was isolated from soil in Wando-gun, Republic of Korea. The NIBR02145 genome was sequenced with PacBio next-generation sequencing technology. The 5,010,245-bp circular genome has a GC content of 66.79% and harbors 4,561 coding sequences, 6 rRNAs, and 52 tRNAs.

Comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence studies and GTDB-Tk analysis show that this strain belongs to the genus Caulobacter.

The whole genome consists of one circular chromosome of 4,289,989 bp, and annotation using PGAP predicted 4,160 protein coding genes, 47 tRNAs, 6 rRNAs, and 3 noncoding RNAs.

Abstract
STUDY QUESTION How does an altered maternal hormonal environment, such as that seen during superovulation with gonadotropins in ART, impact human uterine immune cell distribution and function during the window of implantation? SUMMARY ANSWER Hormonal stimulation with gonadotropins alters abundance of maternal immune cells including uterine natural killer (uNK) cells and reduces uNK cell ability to promote extravillous trophoblast (EVT) invasion. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY An altered maternal hormonal environment, seen following ART, can lead to increased risk for adverse perinatal outcomes associated with disordered placentation. Maternal immune cells play an essential role in invasion of EVTs, a process required for proper establishment of the placenta, and adverse perinatal outcomes have been associated with altered immune cell populations. How ART impacts maternal immune cells and whether this can in turn affect implantation and placentation in humans remain unknown. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION A prospective cohort study was carried out between 2018 and 2021 on 51 subjects: 20 from natural cycles 8 days after LH surge; and 31 from stimulated IVF cycles 7 days after egg retrieval. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS Endometrial biopsies and peripheral blood samples were collected during the window of implantation in subjects with regular menstrual cycles or undergoing superovulation. Serum estradiol and progesterone levels were measured by chemiluminescent competitive immunoassay. Immune cell populations in blood and endometrium were analyzed using flow cytometry. uNK cells were purified using fluorescence-activated cell sorting and were subjected to RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). Functional changes in uNK cells due to hormonal stimulation were evaluated using the implantation-on-a-chip (IOC) device, a novel bioengineered platform using human primary cells that mimics early processes that occur during pregnancy in a physiologically relevant manner. Unpaired t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and pairwise multiple comparison tests were used to statistically evaluate differences. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE Baseline characteristics were comparable for both groups. As expected, serum estradiol levels on the day of biopsy were significantly higher in stimulated (superovulated) patients (P = 0.0005). In the setting of superovulation, we found an endometrium-specific reduction in the density of bulk CD56+ uNK cells (P < 0.05), as well as in the uNK3 subpopulation (P = 0.025) specifically (CD103+ NK cells). In stimulated samples, we also found that the proportion of endometrial B cells was increased (P < 0.0001). Our findings were specific to the endometrium and not seen in peripheral blood. On the IOC device, uNK cells from naturally cycling secretory endometrium promote EVT invasion (P = 0.03). However, uNK cells from hormonally stimulated endometrium were unable to significantly promote EVT invasion, as measured by area of invasion, depth of invasion, and number of invaded EVTs by area. Bulk RNA-seq of sorted uNK cells from stimulated and unstimulated endometrium revealed changes in signaling pathways associated with immune cell trafficking/movement and inflammation. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION Patient numbers utilized for the study were low but were enough to identify significant overall population differences in select immune cell types. With additional power and deeper immune phenotyping, we may detect additional differences in immune cell composition of blood and endometrium in the setting of hormonal stimulation. Flow cytometry was performed on targeted immune cell populations that have shown involvement in early pregnancy. A more unbiased approach might identify changes in novel maternal immune cells not investigated in this study. We performed RNA-seq only on uNK cells, which demonstrated differences in gene expression. Ovarian stimulation may also impact gene expression and function of other subsets of immune cells, as well as other cell types within the endometrium. Finally, the IOC device, while a major improvement over existing in vitro methods to study early pregnancy, does not include all possible maternal cells present during early pregnancy, which could impact functional effects seen. Immune cells other than uNK cells may impact invasion of EVTs in vitro and in vivo, though these remain to be tested. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS These findings demonstrate that hormonal stimulation affects the distribution of uNK cells during the implantation window and reduces the proinvasive effects of uNK cells during early pregnancy. Our results provide a potential mechanism by which fresh IVF cycles may increase risk of disorders of placentation, previously linked to adverse perinatal outcomes. Abstract
Herein, a novel core molecule for V-shaped host molecules was synthesized, wherein two carbazoles were directly linked to cyclohexane. Cy-mCP and Cy-mCBP hosts were also successfully prepared for solution-processable thermally activated delayed fluorescence organic light-emitting diodes (TADF-OLEDs). The Cy-mCP and Cy-mCBP molecules contained a cyclohexane linker directly linked to two small molecular hosts (mCP and mCBP), exhibiting twice the molecular weight while maintaining the basic properties of a single host molecule with improved film-forming ability and solubility in organic solvents. These host materials showed superior thermal stability and high glass transition temperatures compared to lower molecular weight hosts. Green TADF-OLEDs were prepared using the two host materials and 2,4,5,6-tetra(3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazol-9-yl)-1,3-dicyanobenzene (t4CzIPN) emitter, achieving device efficiencies similar to that of a low-molecular-weight host. However, after the incorporation of a V-shaped host, superior characteristics were observed in terms of the thermal stability and operational stability of the device. The synthesis of V-shaped molecules by directly linking two carbazoles to a cyclohexane linker is promising for the development of different hosts for solution-processable OLEDs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Heart rate variability (HRV) extracted from electrocardiogram measured for a short period during a resting state is clinically used as a bio-signal reflecting the emotional state. However, as interest in wearable devices increases, greater attention is being paid to HRV extracted from long-term electrocardiogram, which may contain additional clinical information. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of HRV parameters extracted through long-term electrocardiogram and explore the differences between participants with and without depression and anxiety symptoms. METHODS Long-term electrocardiogram was acquired from 354 adults with no psychiatric history who underwent Holter monitoring. Evening and nighttime HRV and the ratio of nighttime-to-evening HRV were compared between 127 participants with depressive symptoms and 227 participants without depressive symptoms. Comparisons were also made between participants with and without anxiety symptoms. RESULTS Absolute values of HRV parameters did not differ between groups based on the presence of depressive or anxiety symptoms. Overall, HRV parameters increased at nighttime compared to evening. Participants with depressive symptoms showed a significantly higher nighttime-to-evening ratio of high-frequency HRV than participants without depressive symptoms. The nighttime-to-evening ratio of HRV parameters did not show a significant difference depending on the presence of anxiety symptoms. CONCLUSION HRV extracted through long-term electrocardiogram showed circadian rhythm. Depression may be associated with changes in the circadian rhythm of parasympathetic tone.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Delirium in the intensive care unit (ICU) is a common and critical condition that leads to poor prognosis in older patients, but the association between body mass index (BMI) and the incidence of delirium remains unclear. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 5,622 patients admitted to the ICU of a tertiary referral hospital between 2013 and 2022. We collected sociodemographic data, vital signs, laboratory results, and delirium scale scores. We subdivided the patients into four categories: underweight (<18.5 kg/m2), normal weight (18.5-22.9 kg/m2), overweight (23-24.9 kg/m2), and obese (>25 kg/m2). The primary outcome was the incidence of delirium according to the BMI categories. We performed multivariable logistic regression analysis, adjusted for sex, age, past smoking and alcohol history, benzodiazepine use, and laboratory abnormalities. RESULTS Among the 5,622 patients in the ICU (mean age, 72.9 years; male, 60.1%; mean BMI, 24.2 kg/m2), the incidence of delirium was 19.0% (1,069 patients). The mean modified incidence of delirium was higher among underweight patients (odds ratio [OR]=1.51, confidence interval [CI]=1.07-2.12, p = 0.02) than among normal-weight patients. Overweight and obese status were not independently associated with delirium (OR=0.90, CI=0.70-1.17, p = 0.43; OR= 0.97; CI=0.77-1.21, p = 0.78, respectively). The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve of the multivariable logistic regression model was 0.71 (95% CI=0.69-0.73). CONCLUSIONS Underweight status is an independent risk factor for delirium in the ICU. Additional caution is required when evaluating underweight patients for delirium. Obese or overweight status are not associated with delirium, providing evidence for the obesity paradox.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The subtypes of gastric cancer (GC) and oesophageal cancer (EC) manifest distinct epidemiological profiles. Here, we aim to examine correlations in their incidence rates and to compare their temporal changes globally, both overall and by subtype. METHODS Long-term incidence data were obtained from population-based registries available from the Cancer Incidence in Five Continents series. Variation in the occurrence of EC and GC (overall and by subtype) was assessed using the GC:EC ratio of sex-specific age-standardised rates (ASR) in 2008-2012. Average annual per cent changes were estimated to assess temporal trends during 1998-2012. RESULTS ASRs for GC and EC varied remarkably across and within world regions. In the countries evaluated, the GC:EC ratio in men exceeded 10 in several South American countries, Algeria and Republic of Korea, while EC dominated in most sub-Saharan African countries. High rates of both cardia gastric cancer and oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) were observed in several Asian populations. Non-cardia gastric cancer rates correlated positively with ESCC rates (r=0.60) and negatively with EAC (r=-0.79). For the time trends, while GC incidence has been uniformly decreasing by on average 2%-3% annually over 1998-2012 in most countries, trends for EC depend strongly on histology, with several but not all countries experiencing increases in EAC and decreases in ESCC. CONCLUSIONS Correlations between GC and EC incidence rates across populations are positive or inverse depending on the GC subsite and EC subtype. Multisite studies that include a combination of populations whose incidence rates follow and deviate from these patterns may be aetiologically informative.

Abstract
Abstract
Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is highly heterogeneous cancer and the most challenging subtype of breast cancer. And its prognosis is poor compared to the other subtypes. Unlike luminal type cancers, there is no valid biomarker to predict the prognosis of patients with early TNBC. To establish an elaborate therapeutic strategy for TNBC, biomarkers that accurately predict the prognosis and response to treatment are needed. Method: 184 patients with early stage TNBC (training cohort, n = 76; validation cohort, n = 108) were enrolled. Median Follow-up period was 51.5 months (range: 4.6-230.8) for training cohort and 58.3 months (range: 6.6-99.8) for validation cohort. Of the patients in training cohort, 13 patients had recurrence or metastasis. Of the patients in validation cohort, 23 patients had recurrence or metastasis. Using a HiSeq sequencer, RNA sequencing was conducted to analyze the gene expression profiles of tumor samples from TNBC patients. Gene signature was analyzed by combination of DEGs which found in gene expression profiles. Cross validation and meta-analysis were conducted as pre-validation. Meta-analysis was conducted using CBS probePINGS. To compare gene signature and other methods, PAM 50 call and TCR diversity analysis were investigated. Statistical analyses were conducted using R language (v.3.4.3). Result: To predict prognosis of recurrence or metastasis for TNBC patients, we identified the 10-gene signature (DGKH, GADD45B, KLF7, LYST, NR6A1, PYCARD, ROBO1, SLC22A20P, SLC24A3 and SLC45A4) that stratified patients with TNBC by risk score (sensitivity = 92.31%; specificity = 92.06%; accuracy = 92.11%) and validated in a cohort of separate institutions. Meta-analysis supported the biological relevance of the 10-gene signature to well-known driving pathways in TNBC. When compared with other potential biomarkers like PAM 50 call and T-cell receptor β diversity, the 10-gene signature was the only independent factor that can predict prognosis for invasive disease-free survival in multivariate analysis. Conclusion: Our novel findings can contribute to solving the diagnostic challenges in TNBC and the 10-gene signature may serve as a novel biomarker for risk-based patient care.

Abstract
Tomato grey mould has been a great concern during tomato production. The in vitro antifungal activity of vapours emitted from four plant essential oils (EOs) (cinnamon oil, fennel oil, origanum oil, and thyme oil) were evaluated during in vitro conidial germination and mycelial growth of Botrytis cinerea, the causal agent of grey mould. Cinnamon oil vapour was the most effective in suppressing conidial germination, whereas the four EOs showed similar activities regarding inhibiting mycelial growth in dose-dependent manners. The in planta protection effect of the four EO vapours was also investigated by measuring necrotic lesions on tomato leaves inoculated by B. cinerea. Grey mould lesions on the inoculated leaves were reduced by the vapours from cinnamon oil, origanum oil and thyme oil at different levels, but fennel oil did not limit the spread of the necrotic lesions. Decreases in cuticle defect, lipid peroxidation, and hydrogen peroxide production in the B. cinerea-inoculated leaves were correlated with reduced lesions by the cinnamon oil vapours. The reduced lesions by the cinnamon oil vapour were well matched with arrested fungal proliferation on the inoculated leaves. The cinnamon oil vapour regulated tomato defence-related gene expression in the leaves with or without fungal inoculation. These results suggest that the plant essential oil vapours, notably cinnamon oil vapour, can provide eco-friendly alternatives to manage grey mould during tomato production.

Abstract
Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is a clinical condition in which performance on standardized cognitive tests does not indicate impairment like mild cognitive impairment (MCI), but self-experienced cognitive capacity persistently declines. We aimed to explore the functional connectivity (FC) characteristics of SCD subjects compared to healthy controls and MCI patients. Resting-state functional MRI was performed on 152 elderly subjects: 65 normal controls, 62 SCD subjects, and 25 MCI patients. A seed-based FC analysis was performed to compare groups. The major brain regions of the default mode network (DMN) and dorsal attention network (DAN), large-scale brain networks disrupted in patients with dementia, were selected as seed regions. As a result, the SCD group showed stronger FC than the MCI group between DMN seeds and the supramarginal gyrus. Both the SCD and MCI groups showed stronger FC between the left lateral parietal cortex and right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. In the FC analysis centred on DAN seeds, both the SCD and MCI groups showed weaker FC of the right posterior intraparietal sulcus in the left anterior cingulate cortex and the left insula, compared to those in the control group. Within the SCD group, hyperconnectivity between the right lateral parietal cortex and left supramarginal gyrus was significantly correlated with better performance on the Controlled Oral Word Association Test. In conclusion, the SCD group showed several DMN- and DAN-related FC alterations, similar to the MCI group, but with distinct hyperconnectivity between DMN seeds and the supramarginal gyrus. In particular, SCD has DMN-related FC patterns distinct from those of MCI that are associated with verbal fluency retention.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the use of statins and the occurrence of delirium in a large cohort of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), considering disease severity and statin properties. Methods We obtained clinical and demographical information from 3,604 patients admitted to the ICU from January 2013 to April 2020. This included information on daily statin use and delirium state, as assessed by the Confusion Assessment Method for ICU. We used inverse probability of treatment weighting and categorized the patients into four groups based on the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score (group 1: 0-10 - mild; group 2: 11-20 - mild to moderate; group 3: 21-30 - moderate to severe; group 4: > 30 - severe). We analyzed the association between the use of statin and the occurrence of delirium in each group, while taking into account the properties of statins. Results Comparisons between statin and non-statin patient groups revealed that only in group 2, patients who were administered statin showed significantly higher occurrence of delirium (p = 0.004, odds ratio [OR] = 1.58) compared to the patients who did not receive statin. Regardless of whether statins were lipophilic (p = 0.036, OR = 1.47) or hydrophilic (p = 0.032, OR = 1.84), the occurrence of delirium was higher only in patients from group 2. Conclusion The use of statins may be associated with the increases in the risk of delirium occurrence in patients with mild to moderate disease severity, irrespective of statin properties.

Abstract
Polycaprolactone has exhibited expediency as a biomaterial for bone regenerative procedures preclinically. The present report of the two clinical cases in the posterior maxilla is the first to describe clinical application of a customized 3D printed polycaprolactone mesh for alveolar ridge augmentation. Two patients needing extensive ridge augmentation procedures for dental implant therapy were selected. Polycaprolactone meshes were virtually designed, 3D printed and applied in combination with a xenogeneic bone substitute. Cone-beam computed tomography was taken pre-operatively, immediately after the surgery, and 1.5 to 2 years after the delivery of implant prostheses. The serial cone-beam computed tomography images were superimposed to measure the augmented height and width at 1 mm increments from the implant platform to 3 mm apically. After 2 years, the mean [maximum, minimum] bone gain was 6.05 [8.64, 2.85] mm vertically and 7.77 [10.03, 6.18] mm horizontally at 1 mm below the implant platform. From immediately postoperative to 2 years, there was 14 % reduction of augmented ridged height and 24 % reduction of augmented width at 1 mm below the platform. All implants placed in augmented sites were successfully maintained until 2 years. The customized Polycaprolactone mesh might be a viable material for ridge augmentation in the atrophic posterior maxilla. This needs to be confirmed through randomized controlled clinical trials in future studies.

In this study, we aimed to explore the potential for clinical use of HRV by investigating the interrelationship between HRV indices and clinical measures mainly used to assess depressive and anxious symptoms. Participants who reported depressive and anxious symptoms were designated into the following groups: group 1, clinician-rated and self-rated depression; group 2, only self-rated depression; group 3, clinician-rated and self-rated anxiety; group 4, only self-rated anxiety. Statistical comparisons were performed between these groups to investigate the association between HRV and clinical measures. As a result, HRV variables showed significant correlations only with the clinician-rated assessments. Moreover, both time and frequency domain HRV indices were significantly different between groups 1 and 2, but groups 3 and 4 showed significant differences only in frequency domain HRV indices. Our study showed that HRV is an objective indicator for depressive or anxious symptoms. Additionally, it is considered a potential indicator for predicting the severity or state of depressive symptoms rather than of anxious symptoms. This study will contribute to increasing the diagnostic utility of discriminating those symptoms based on HRV in the future.

Abstract
The understanding and engineering of the plasmon-exciton coupling are necessary to control the innovative optoelectronic device platform. In this study, we investigated the intertwined mechanism of each plasmon-exciton couplings in monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and plasmonic hybrid structure. The results of absorption, simulation, electrostatics, and emission spectra show that interaction between photoexcited carrier and exciton modes are successfully coupled by energy transfer and exciton recombination processes. Especially, neutral exciton, trion, and biexciton can be selectively enhanced by designing the plasmonic hybrid platform. All of these results imply that there is another degree of freedom to control the individual enhancement of each exciton mode in the development of nano optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the recall rate and performance of free-breathing T1W dynamic imaging in patients who underwent gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver MRI. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent free-breathing dynamic T1WI liver MRI using Cartesian (XD-VIBE) or self-gated radial (SG-GRASP) sequences at two institutions. Four radiologists independently reviewed the overall image quality, streak, and motion artifacts for precontrast, arterial, and portal venous phases on a 4-point scale. Hepatic observations were annotated and assessed according to LI-RADS v2018. RESULTS In total, 360 patients were included (XD-VIBE [n = 253], SG-GRASP [n = 107]). The overall image quality of free-breathing T1WI was 3.4 ± 0.4, 3.2 ± 0.4, and 3.5 ± 0.4 for precontrast, arterial, and portal venous phases, respectively. The actual recall rate was 0.6% (2/360). The SG-GRASP group showed fewer motion artifacts and more streak artifacts than the XD-VIBE group in all phases (p < 0.001 for all). The overall image quality was not significantly different between the two sequences in arterial (3.2 ± 0.4 in both, p = 0.607) and portal venous phases (3.5 ± 0.4 in XD-VIBE, 3.4 ± 0.4 in SG-GRASP, p = 0.214). Two sequences did not show significant differences in the lesion detection rate (figure of merit, FOM: 0.67 vs. 0.68, p = 0.876) or diagnostic performance for hepatocellular carcinoma (FOM: 0.55 vs. 0.62, p = 0.105). CONCLUSIONS Both XD-VIBE and SG-GRASP provided sufficient image quality for patients at risk of developing motion artifacts, without significant differences in image quality or the lesion detection rate between sequences. KEY POINTS • The overall image quality of free-breathing T1-weighted images using Cartesian or radial sequences was 3.4 ± 0.4, 3.2 ± 0.4, and 3.5 ± 0.4 for precontrast, arterial, and portal venous phases, respectively. • Only 0.3% (1/360) had undiagnostic exams and the actual recall rate was 0.6% (2/360) in patients who underwent free-breathing dynamic T1WI. • The overall lesion detection rate was 0.67 without a significant difference between Cartesian and radial sequences (figure of merit: 0.67 vs. 0.68, respectively, p = 0.876).

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pancreatobiliary MRI is often recommended for patients at risk of developing pancreas cancer. But the surveillance MRI protocol has not yet been widely accepted. PURPOSE To establish an accelerated MRI protocol targeting the table time of 15 minutes for pancreatic cancer surveillance and test its performance in lesion characterization. STUDY TYPE Prospective. POPULATION A total of 30 participants were enrolled, who were undergoing follow-up care for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms or newly diagnosed pancreatic cysts (≥10 mm) and were scheduled for or had recently undergone contrast-enhanced CT (CECT). FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE A 3 T; heavily T2WI, 3D MRCP, DWI, dynamic T1WI, two-point Dixon. ASSESSMENT In-room time and table time were measured. Seven radiologists independently reviewed image quality of MRI and then the presence of high-risk stigmata and worrisome features in addition to diagnostic confidence for accelerated MRI, CECT, and the noncontrast part of accelerated MRI (NC-MRI). STATISTICAL ANALYSIS Fisher's exact test was used for categorical variables and either the Student's t-test or Mann-Whitney test was performed for continuous variables. The generalized estimated equation was used to compare the diagnostic performance of examinations on a per-patient basis. Interobserver agreement was evaluated via Fleiss kappa. A P value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. RESULTS The in-room time was 18.5 ± 2.6 minutes (range: 13.7-24.9) and the table time was 13.9 ± 1.9 minutes (range: 10.7-17.5). There was no significant difference between the diagnostic performances of the three examinations (pooled sensitivity: 75% for accelerated MRI and CECT, 68% for NC-MRI, P = 0.95), with the highest significant diagnostic confidence for accelerated MRI (4.2 ± 0.1). With accelerated MRI, the interobserver agreement was fair to excellent for high-risk stigmata (κ = 0.34-0.98). DATA CONCLUSION Accelerated MRI protocol affords a table time of 15 minutes, making it potentially suitable for cancer surveillance in patients at risk of developing pancreatic cancer. Abstract
Background
Mindfulness has emerged as a promising approach toward improving mental health. Interest in mindfulness mobile app services has also increased in recent years. Understanding the determinants of mindfulness behavior is essential to predict people’s utilization of mindfulness mobile apps and beneficial for developing and implementing relevant intervention strategies. Nevertheless, little has been done to determine the predictors of mindfulness behavior.
Objective
This study investigates the association between the Big Five personality traits and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) variables in the context of using mindfulness mobile apps to explore the potential indirect effects of conscientiousness and neuroticism on people’s behavioral intention for mindfulness, mediated by their attitude toward mindfulness, subjective norm about mindfulness, and perceived behavior control over mindfulness.
Methods
The authors conducted an online, cross-sectional survey in December 2021. Structural equation modeling was conducted to evaluate the overall model fit and test possible linkages among conscientiousness, neuroticism, attitude toward mindfulness, subjective norm about mindfulness, perceived behavior control over mindfulness, and behavioral intention for mindfulness. Bootstrapping mediation analyses were also conducted to test the potential mediating effect in the model.
Results
A total of 297 Korean participants’ responses (153 males and 144 females) were analyzed. The proposed model had a good fit. Conscientiousness was correlated with attitude toward mindfulness (β=.384, P<.001), subjective norm about mindfulness (β=.249, P<.001), and perceived behavior control over mindfulness (β=.443, P<.001). Neuroticism was not correlated with attitude toward mindfulness (β=−.072, P=.28), but was correlated with subjective norm about mindfulness (β=.217, P=.003) and perceived behavior control over mindfulness (β=−.235, P<.001). Attitude toward mindfulness (β=.508, P<.001), subjective norm about mindfulness (β=.132, P=.01), and perceived behavior control over mindfulness (β=.540, P<.001) were separately correlated with behavioral intention for mindfulness. Conscientiousness was not directly correlated with behavioral intention for mindfulness (β=−.082, P=.27), whereas neuroticism was directly correlated with behavioral intention for mindfulness (β=.194, P=.001). Conscientiousness was indirectly linked with behavioral intention for mindfulness through attitude toward mindfulness (B=0.171, 95% CI 0.103-0.251) and perceived behavior control over mindfulness (B=0.198, 95% CI 0.132-0.273) but not through subjective norm about mindfulness (B=0.023, 95% CI −0.002 to 0.060). Neuroticism was indirectly linked with behavioral intention for mindfulness via perceived behavior control over mindfulness (B=−0.138, 95% CI −0.197 to −0.088) but not via subjective norm about mindfulness (B=0.021, 95% CI −0.002 to 0.059).
Conclusions
The results show that the integration of the Big Five personality traits and TPB constructs is useful in predicting the use of mindfulness mobile apps. Focusing on conscientiousness and neuroticism in developing information dissemination and implementation strategies for enhancing mindfulness behavior using mobile apps may lead to the successful promotion of mindfulness mobile apps and adherence to mindfulness techniques.

Abstract
Background Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is a target for Alzheimer’s disease prediction. Plasma amyloid-beta oligomer (AβO), the pathogenic form of Aβ in blood, has recently been proposed as a novel blood-based biomarker of AD prediction by representing brain Aβ deposition. The relationship between plasma AβO, brain Aβ deposition, and SCD in individuals with normal objective cognition has not been investigated. Methods In this cross-sectional study, we analyzed 126 participants with normal objective cognition. More SCD symptoms were expressed as higher scores of the Subjective Cognitive Decline Questionnaire (SCDQ) and Memory Age-associated Complaint Questionnaire (MACQ). The plasma AβO level of each participant was measured twice for validation and expressed as a concentration (ng/mL) and a ratio relative to the mean value of two internal standards. Brain Aβ deposition was assessed by [18F] flutemetamol positron emission tomography (PET) and expressed as standard uptake value ratio (SUVR). Associations of SCDQ and MACQ with plasma AβO levels or SUVR were analyzed in multiple linear regression models. The association between plasma AβO level and flutemetamol PET positivity was assessed in logistic regression and receiver operative characteristic analyses. Results Overall, participants were 73.3 years old with female predominance (69.0%). After adjustment for confounders, high SCDQ and MACQ scores were associated with the high plasma AβO levels as both concentrations and ratios (ratios: standardized coefficient = 0.246 and p = 0.023 for SCDQ, standardized coefficient = 0.209 and p = 0.029 for MACQ; concentrations: standardized coefficient = 0.257 and p = 0.015 for SCDQ, standardized coefficient = 0.217 and p = 0.021 for MACQ). In contrast, SCDQ and MACQ were not significantly associated with SUVRs (p = 0.134 for SCDQ, p = 0.079 for MACQ). High plasma AβO levels were associated with flutemetamol PET (+) with an area under the curve of 0.694 (ratio) or 0.662 (concentration). Combined with APOE e4, plasma AβO presented area under the curves of 0.789 (ratio) and 0.783 (concentration). Conclusions Our findings indicate that the high plasma AβO level could serve as a potential surrogate biomarker of severe SCD and the presence of brain Aβ deposition in individuals with normal objective cognition.

Abstract
In this study, we analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of Eudynamys scolopaceus using Illumina and Pacbio next-generation sequencing. The total length of the mitogenome was 18,170 bp and contained 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, a non-coding control region, and two repeat regions. The order of the genes and genome structure were the same as those in a previous publication in other Cuculidae species. A phylogenetic tree constructed with 13 PCGs indicated that E. scolopaceus is closely related to Urodynamis taitensis and genus Cuculus.

Abstract
Background and Aims: Intrahepatic mononuclear phagocytes (MPs) are critical for the initiation and progression of liver fibrosis. In this study, using multiplexed digital spatial protein profiling, we aimed to derive a unique protein signature predicting advanced liver fibrosis. Methods: Snap-frozen liver tissues from various chronic liver diseases were subjected to spatially defined protein-based multiplexed profiling (Nanostring GeoMXTM). A single-cell RNA sequencing analysis was performed using Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets from normal and cirrhotic livers. Results: Sixty-four portal regions of interest (ROIs) were selected for the spatial profiling. Using the results from the CD68+ area, a highly sensitive and specific immune-related protein signature (CD68, HLA-DR, OX40L, phospho-c-RAF, STING, and TIM3) was developed to predict advanced (F3 and F4) fibrosis. A combined analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data from GEO datasets (GSE136103) and spatially-defined, protein-based multiplexed profiling revealed that most proteins upregulated in F0-F2 livers in portal CD68+ cells were specifically marked in tissue monocytes, whereas proteins upregulated in F3 and F4 livers were marked in scar-associated macrophages (SAMacs) and tissue monocytes. Internal validation using mRNA expression data with the same cohort tissues demonstrated that mRNA levels for TREM2, CD9, and CD68 are significantly higher in livers with advanced fibrosis. Conclusions: In patients with advanced liver fibrosis, portal MPs comprise of heterogeneous populations composed of SAMacs, Kupffer cells, and tissue monocytes. This is the first study that used spatially defined protein-based multiplexed profiling, and we have demonstrated the critical difference in the phenotypes of portal MPs between livers with early- or late-stage fibrosis.

Abstract
A tic disorder (TD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by tics, which are repetitive movements and/or vocalizations that occur due to aberrant sensory gating. Its pathophysiology involves dysfunction in multiple parts of the cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical circuits. Spontaneous brain activity during the resting state can be used to evaluate the baseline brain state, and it is associated with various aspects of behavior and cognitive processes. Theta–gamma coupling (TGC) is an emerging technique for examining how neural networks process information through interactions. However, the resting-state TGC of patients with TD and its correlation with cognitive function have not yet been studied. We investigated the resting-state TGC of 13 patients with TD and compared it with that of 13 age-matched healthy children. The participants underwent resting-state electroencephalography with their eyes closed. At the global level, patients with TD showed a significantly lower resting-state TGC than healthy children. Resting-state TGC with the eyes closed was significantly negatively correlated with the attention quotient calculated for omission errors in a selective visual attention test. These findings indicate that the resting-state brain network, which is important for the attentional processing of visual information, is dysfunctional in patients with TD. Additionally, these findings support the view that TGC reflects information processing and signal interactions at the global level. Patients with TD may have difficulty gating irrelevant sensory information in the resting state while their eyes are closed.

Abstract
Previous studies have suggested that components of one-carbon metabolism, particularly circulating vitamin B6, have an etiological role in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Vitamin B6 is a cofactor in the transsulfuration pathway. We sought to holistically investigate the role of the transsulfuration pathway in RCC risk. We conducted a nested case-control study (455 RCC cases and 455 matched controls) within the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) study. Plasma samples from the baseline visit were analyzed for metabolites of the transsulfuration pathway, including pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP, the biologically active form of vitamin B6), homocysteine, serine, cystathionine, and cysteine, in addition to folate. Bayesian conditional logistic regression was used to estimate associations of metabolites with RCC risk as well as interactions with established RCC risk factors. Circulating PLP and cysteine were inversely associated with RCC risk, and these associations were not attenuated after adjustment for other transsulfuration metabolites (odds ratio (OR) and 90% credible interval (CrI) per 1 SD increase in log concentration: 0.76 [0.66, 0.87]; 0.81 [0.66, 0.96], respectively). A comparison of joint metabolite profiles suggested substantially greater RCC risk for the profile representative of low overall transsulfuration function compared to high function (OR 2.70 [90% CrI 1.26, 5.70]). We found some statistical evidence of interactions of cysteine with body mass index, and PLP and homocysteine with smoking status, on their associations with RCC risk. In conclusion, we found evidence suggesting that the transsulfuration pathway may play a role in metabolic dysregulation leading to RCC development.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To identify dietary and lifestyle factors associated with decreased pepsinogen levels indicative of gastric atrophy. METHODS Participants aged 40 to 64 from the "Multicentric randomized study of H. pylori eradication and pepsinogen testing for prevention of gastric cancer mortality (GISTAR study)" in Latvia tested for serum pepsinogen, as well as for Helicobacter pylori infection by 13 C-urea breath test or serology were included. Data on sex, age, education, employment, diet, smoking, alcohol and proton pump inhibitor use were obtained by survey and compared for participants with and without serologically detected gastric atrophy defined as pepsinogen I/pepsinogen II ≤ 2 and pepsinogen I ≤ 30 ng/mL. RESULTS Of 3001 participants (median age 53, interquartile range, 11.0, 36.9% male) 52.8% had H. pylori and 7.7% had serologically detected gastric atrophy. In multivariate analysis, increasing age, consumption of alcohol, coffee, and onions were positively, while H. pylori , former smoking, pickled product and proton pump inhibitor use were inversely associated with gastric atrophy. Pepsinogen values were higher in smokers and those with H. pylori . Pepsinogen ratio was lower in those with H. pylori . When stratifying by H. pylori presence, significantly higher pepsinogen levels remained for smokers without H. pylori . CONCLUSION Several dietary factors and smoking were associated with serologically detected gastric atrophy. Pepsinogen levels differed by smoking and H. pylori status, which may affect the serologic detection of gastric atrophy. There seems to be a complicated interaction between multiple factors. A prospective study including atrophy determined by both serology and histology is necessary.

Abstract
Objectives Hostile attribution bias is reportedly common from non-clinical population to those with serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia, and is known to be closely related to theory of mind (ToM). This study aimed to investigate whether ToM skills mediate the relationship among neurocognitive ability, personality traits, and attribution bias. Methods A total of 198 (101 females) non-clinical youths were recruited. To assess their neurocognitive ability and ToM skills, the participants were asked to complete Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices (SPM) and the Korean version of the Reading the Mind in Eyes Test (K-RMET). To determine their personality traits, the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (psychoticism) and interpersonal reactivity index (perspective taking) were used. To evaluate hostile attribution bias, the Ambiguous Intentions Hostility Questionnaire was administered. Path analysis and bias-corrected percentile bootstrap methods were used to estimate model fit and the parameters of the mediating effects. Results Based on model comparison, the best model characterized (1) two direct pathways from psychoticism and the K-RMET to hostility attribution bias and (2) three indirect pathways, wherein SPM, perspective taking, and psychoticism influenced hostile attribution bias through K-RMET. The final model fit indices were good [x2/df = 1.126; comparative fit index = 0.996; root mean square error of approximation = 0.026; standard root mean square residual = 0.026 and Akaike information criterion = 28.251] and the K-RMET fully mediated the association between SPM, perspective taking, psychoticism, and hostile attribution bias. Conclusion The main findings suggested that ToM skills, such as the RMET, play an important role in explaining the relationship among neurocognitive ability, personality traits, and hostile attribution bias. ToM skills and a remediation strategy may need to be developed to balance the enhanced hostility bias that underlies the paranoia.

Abstract
Prediction and early detection of delirium can improve patient outcomes. A high blood urea nitrogen to creatinine ratio (BCR), which reflects dehydration, has been reported as a risk factor for delirium. Additionally, BCR represents skeletal muscle loss in intensive care unit (ICU) patients, which can have critical implications for clinical outcomes. We investigated whether BCR could be used to predict the occurrence and motor subtype of delirium in ICU patients through a retrospective cohort study that included 7167 patients (50 years or older) admitted to the ICU. Patients were assessed daily using the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale and the Confusion Assessment Method for ICU and categorized according to the delirium subtype. Participants were split into 10 groups according to BCR at ICU admission and the prevalence of each delirium subtype was compared. Multivariable logistic regression was then used for analysis. A higher BCR at ICU admission was associated with the development of hypoactive delirium. Moreover, BCR > 24.9 was associated with higher rates of hypoactive delirium. Our findings showed that a high BCR at ICU admission was associated with the development of hypoactive delirium, which suggested that BCR could be a potential biomarker for hypoactive delirium in ICU patients.

Abstract
Quantum dots (QDs) have an unparalleled ability to mimic true colors due to their size-tunable optical and electronic properties, which make them the most promising nanoparticles in various fields. Currently, the majority of QDs available in the market are cadmium, indium, and lead-based materials but the toxicity and unstable nature of these QDs restricts their industrial and practical applications. To avoid using heavy metal ions, especially cadmium, the current research is focused on the fabrication of perovskite and vanadate QDs. Herein, we report the facile synthesis of a novel and cost-effective CsVO3 QDs for the first time. The sizes of the CsVO3 QDs produced were tuned from 2 to 10 nm by varying the reaction temperature from 140 to 190 °C. On increasing QD size, a continuous red shift was observed in absorption and emission spectra, signifying the presence of quantum confinement. In addition, along with CsVO3 QDs, the CsVO3 nanosheets self-assembled microflower-like particles were found as residue after the centrifugation; the X-ray diffraction indicated an orthorhombic structure. Under 365 nm excitation, these CsVO3 microflower-like particles exhibited broad emission with CIE coordinates in the white emission region. The acquired results suggest that CsVO3 QDs may represent a new class of cadmium-free materials for optoelectronic and biomedical applications.

Abstract
Introduction−−Serum pepsinogen tests for gastric cancer screening have been debated for decades. We assessed the performance of two pepsinogen assays with or without gastrin-17 for the detection of different precancerous lesions alone or as a composite endpoint in a Latvian cohort. Methods−−Within the intervention arm of the GISTAR population-based study, participants with abnormal pepsinogen values by ELISA or latex-agglutination tests, or abnormal gastrin-17 by ELISA and a subset of subjects with all normal biomarker values were referred for upper endoscopy with biopsies. Performance of biomarkers, corrected by verification bias, to detect five composite outcomes based on atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia or cancer was explored. Results−−Data from 1045 subjects were analysed, of those 273 with normal biomarker results. Both pepsinogen assays showed high specificity (>93%) but poor sensitivity (range: 18.4−31.1%) that slightly improved when lesions were restricted to corpus location (40.5%) but decreased when dysplasia and prevalent cancer cases were included (23.8%). Adding gastrin-17 detection, sensitivity reached 33−45% while specificity decreased (range: 61.1−62%) and referral rate for upper endoscopy increased to 38.6%. Conclusions−−Low sensitivity of pepsinogen assays is a limiting factor for their use in population-based primary gastric cancer screening, however their high specificity could be useful for triage.
