Abstract
H2 produced through hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is a shining star in the field of clean energy. Significant efforts have been dedicated to develop efficient and stable electrocatalysts to reduce the energy barrier and accelerate the kinetics of Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) under various environments. Herein, we propose a strategy to accelerate the kinetics of HER under acid and alkaline environments by combining heterostructure engineering with defect engineering. We have successfully synthesized a series of WS2/WO3-x heterostructured catalysts, accompanied with substantial oxygen vacancies using a two-step synthesis method. With the partially sulfurization of WO3-x, the heterojunction interface of WS2 and WO3-x was formed along with the appearance of oxygen vacancies, which can facilitate the migration of electrons. The heterostructured catalyst enriched with oxygen vacancies (defined as WS2/WO3-x-2) demonstrates superior HER performance in acidic and alkaline electrolytes. At a current density of 10 mA cm-2, the WS2/WO3-x-2 heterostructured catalyst manifests an overpotential of 120 mV in the acidic electrolytes and a slightly higher overpotential of 150 mV in an alkaline environment. The overpotentials offer an improvement compared to reported W-based catalysts in terms of HER performance. This work provides guiding significance on the design of heterostructured catalysts with promising performance for HER in acidic and alkaline environments.

Abstract
Single-cell sequencing datasets are key in biology and medicine for unraveling insights into heterogeneous cell populations with unprecedented resolution. Here, we construct a single-cell multi-omics map of human tissues through in-depth characterizations of datasets from five single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics, and two bulk omics across 125 healthy adult and fetal tissues. We construct its complement web-based platform, the Single Cell Atlas (SCA, www.singlecellatlas.org ), to enable vast interactive data exploration of deep multi-omics signatures across human fetal and adult tissues. The atlas resources and database queries aspire to serve as a one-stop, comprehensive, and time-effective resource for various omics studies.

Abstract
With the development of testing technology, the diagnosis of nontuberculous mycobacterium (NTM) lung disease has gradually increased in recent years. Because the clinical characteristics of NTM are not typical, and its imaging manifestations are diverse and nonspecific, missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis are common. Etiological investigation is necessary for diagnosis. Conventional etiological investigations are very limited for the diagnosis of NTM. We reported a case of NTM lung disease presenting with a mass and atelectasis with mediastinal and hilar lymph node enlargement that resembled malignant tumors. The literature on this condition was reviewed to improve the clinician's understanding and broaden clinical thinking.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Research to date has lacked definitive evidence to determine whether mirror therapy promotes the recovery of upper extremity function after stroke. Considering that previous studies did not stratify patients based on structural retention, this may be one of the reasons for the negative results obtained in many trials. The goal evaluates the efficacy of TBMT (utilizing an innovatively designed mirror) versus standard occupational therapy for stroke patient's upper limb functionality. METHODS AND ANALYSIS This single-center randomized controlled trial will involve 50 patients with stroke. All patients will be randomly assigned to either the task-based mirror therapy or the control group. The interventions will be performed 5 days per week for 4 weeks. The primary outcomes will be the mean change in scores on both the FMA-UE and modified Barthel Index (MBI) from baseline to 4 weeks intervention and at 12 weeks follow-up between the two groups and within groups. The other outcomes will include the Action Research Arm Test (ARAT), the Nine Hole Peg Test (9HPT), the Functional Independence Measure, and MRI. DISCUSSION This trial will not only to establish that task-based mirror therapy (TBMT) could improve the recovery of hand function after stroke but also to explore the underlying mechanisms. We expect that this finding will clarify the brain activation and brain network mechanisms underlying the improvement of hand function with task-oriented mirror therapy and lead to new ideas for stroke hand function rehabilitation. Abstract
In utero hematopoietic cell transplantation (IUHCT) is a nonmyeloablative procedure that leads to donor cell chimerism and donor-specific tolerance. However, most clinical applications of IUHCT have failed because of low levels or even no engraftment of donor cells in immunologically normal fetuses. It is likely that the competition from the host hematopoietic compartment is the primary barrier to successful IUHCT, suggesting that conditioning methods that provide a competitive advantage to donor cells may lead to higher-level engraftment following IUHCT. This study aimed to research whether maternal administration of low-dose total body irradiation (TBI) or busulfan (BU) before IUHCT may result in increased donor cell chimerism in postnatal bone marrow transplantation in a congenic murine model. We first determined the birth and mortality rates after maternal administration of low-dose TBI (0, 2 or 4 Gy) or BU (5, 10, 15, or 20 mg/kg) before IUHCT in B6 mice. The mice that received 2 Gy TBI plus IUHCT showed significantly lower birth rate (23.3%) and a 100% 3-day mortality rate. The mice that received 10 mg/kg BU plus IUHCT had similar birth and 3-day mortality rates (58.6% and 0%) compared to mice that received IUHCT alone (61.1% and 4.55%). We then performed maternal administration of BU at 1 of 3 dosages (5, 10, or 15 mg/kg) at 24 hours before intrauterine transplantation of 2.5 × 105 B6GFP Sca-1+ bone marrow cells (BMCs) or 2.5 × 106 B6GFP BMCs on gestational day 14 (E14). Green fluorescent protein (GFP) chimerism in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), RBCs, and platelets of mice at 4 weeks of age was enhanced significantly with an increase in BU dose. Moreover, GFP chimerism of PBMCs from the B6GFP BMC group was significantly higher than that of the B6GFP Sca-1+ BMC group (22.56% versus 7.20%; P = .018). Finally, the pregnant mice were treated with 10 mg/kg of BU at E13, E14, or E15, followed by intrauterine transplantation of 2.5 × 106 B6GFP BMCs 24 hours later. Except for the short-term level of chimerism in PBMCs, which showed no significant difference among the 3 study groups, the results indicate that both short-term (age 4 weeks) and long-term (age 14 weeks) engraftment in PBMCs, RBCs, and platelets was higher in group E16 compared with groups E14 and E15. We also discovered that the engraftment was stable, multilineage, and increased with time. In conclusion, maternal administration of BU, but not of TBI, along with IUHCT could significantly enhance engraftment in a congenic murine model.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Vitamin D (VD) possesses immunomodulatory properties, but its role in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) remains poorly studied. Herein, we aim to explore the regulation and function of VD3 in CRSwNP. METHODS 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25VD3) levels in serum and tissue lysates were detected by ELISA. The expression of VD receptor (VDR) and cytochrome P450 family 27 subfamily B member 1 (CYP27B1), the enzyme that converts 25VD3 to the active 1,25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25VD3), and their expression regulation in human nasal epithelial cells (HNECs) were studied by RT-PCR, western blotting, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry. RNA sequencing was performed to identify genes regulated by 1,25VD3 in HNECs. HNECs and polyp tissue explants were treated with 1,25VD3, 25VD3, and dexamethasone. RESULTS 25VD3 levels in serum and nasal tissue lysates were decreased in patients with eosinophilic and noneosinophilic CRSwNP than control subjects. The expression of VDR and CYP27B1 were reduced in eosinophilic and noneosinophilic CRSwNP, particularly in nasal epithelial cells. VDR and CYP27B1 expression in HNECs were downregulated by interferon y and poly (I:C). Polyp-derived epithelial cells demonstrated an impaired ability to convert 25VD3 to 1,25VD3 than control tissues. 1,25VD3 and 25VD3 suppressed IL-36y production in HNECs and polyp tissues, and the effect of 25VD3 was abolished by siCYP27B1 treatment. Tissue 25VD3 levels negatively correlated with IL-36y expression and neutrophilic inflammation in CRSwNP. CONCLUSION Reduced systemic 25VD3 level, local 1,25VD3 generation and VDR expression result in impaired VD3 signaling activation in nasal epithelial cells, thereby exaggerating IL-36y production and neutrophilic inflammation in CRSwNP.

Abstract
The development of low-cost transition metal compounds with high-performance for efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is of great significance in promoting the development of electrocatalysis. In this study, a Ce-doped Ni3S4 catalyst (Ce0.2-Ni3S4) was synthesized through a one-step solvothermal method, where the doped rare earth element Ce induced the transformation of NiS to Ni3S4. The Ce0.2-Ni3S4 catalyst exhibited excellent OER performance in 1 M KOH. At a current density of 10 mA cm-2, it showed a low overpotential of 230 mV and a low Tafel slope of 52.39 mV dec-1. Long-term OER tests at the same potential lasted for 24 h without significant loss of current density. This work introduces a novel method of Ce element doping for modifying transition metal sulfides, providing new insights into the effective utilization of rare earth elements in the field of electrochemistry. It creates more chances for the progress of highly efficient catalysts for efficient OER, contributing to the advancement of electrocatalysis.

Abstract
Matrix Gla protein (MGP) and trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1 (TRPS1) have recently emerged as novel breast-specific immunohistochemical (IHC) markers, particularly for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and metaplastic carcinoma. The present study aimed to validate and compare the expression of MGP, TRPS1 and GATA binding protein 3 (GATA3) in metastatic breast carcinoma (MBC), invasive breast carcinoma (IBC) with special features, including special types of invasive breast carcinoma (IBC-STs) and invasive breast carcinoma of no special type with unique features, and mammary and non-mammary salivary gland-type tumours (SGTs). Among all enrolled cases, MGP, TRPS1 and GATA3 had comparable high positivity for ER/PR-positive (p=0.148) and HER2-positive (p=0.310) breast carcinoma (BC), while GATA3 positivity was significantly lower in TNBC (p<0.001). Similarly, the positive rates of MGP and TRPS1 in MBCs (99.4%), were higher than in GATA3 (90.9%, p<0.001). Among the IBC-STs, 98.4% of invasive lobular carcinomas (ILCs) were positive for all three markers. Among neuroendocrine tumours (NTs), all cases were positive for TRPS1 and GATA3, while MGP positivity was relatively low (81.8%, p=0.313). In the neuroendocrine carcinoma (NC) subgroup, all cases were positive for GATA3 and MGP, while one case was negative for TRPS1. All carcinomas with apocrine differentiation (APOs) were positive for GATA3 and MGP, while only 60% of the cases demonstrated moderate staining for TRPS1. Among mammary SGTs, MGP demonstrated the highest positivity (100%), followed by TRPS1 (96.0%) and GATA3 (72.0%). Positive staining for these markers was also frequently observed in non-mammary SGTs. Our findings further validate the high sensitivity of MGP and TRPS1 in MBCs, IBC-STs, and breast SGTs. However, none of these markers are capable of distinguishing between mammary and non-mammary SGTs.

Abstract
Chronic dysregulation of peripheral lipids has been found to be associated with depression and cognition, but their interaction has not been investigated. Growing evidence has highlighted the association between peripheral lipoprotein levels with depression and cognition with inconsistent results. We assessed the association between peripheral lipids, depression, and cognition while evaluating their potential interactions using robust clinically relevant predictors such as lipoprotein levels and chronic medical disorders that dysregulate lipoproteins. We report an association between peripheral lipids, depression, and cognition, suggesting a common underlying biological mechanism driven by lipid dysregulation in two independent studies. Analysis of a longitudinal study of a cohort at high or low familial risk for major depressive disorder (MDD) (n = 526) found metabolic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and other cardiovascular diseases, were associated with MDD and cognitive outcomes. Investigating a cross-sectional population survey of adults in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2011-2014 (NHANES) (n = 2377), depression was found to be associated with high density lipoprotein (HDL) and cognitive assessments. In the familial risk study, medical conditions were found to be associated with chronic lipid dysregulation and were significantly associated with MDD using the structural equation model. A positive association between chronic lipid dysregulation and cognitive scores was found in an exploratory analysis of the familial risk study. In a complementary study, analysis of NHANES revealed a positive association of HDL levels with cognition. Further analysis of the NHANES cohort indicated that depression status mediated the interaction between HDL levels and cognitive tests. Importantly, the protective effect of HDL on cognition was absent in those with depressive symptoms, which may ultimately result in worse outcomes leading to cognitive decline. These findings highlight the potential for the early predictive value of medical conditions with chronic lipid dyshomeostasis for the risk of depression and cognitive decline.

Abstract
Growing evidence has proven the efficacy of physical exercise in remyelination and motor function performance after spinal cord injury (SCI). However, the molecular mechanisms of treadmill training on myelin repair and functional recovery after SCI have not yet been fully studied. Here, we explored the effect of treadmill training on upregulating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha (PGC1α)-mediated myelin repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of thoracic T10 contusion injury. A 4-week treadmill training scheme was conducted on mice with SCI. The expression levels of oligodendrogenesis-related protein and PGC1α were detected by immunofluorescence, RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization and western blotting. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to observe myelin structure. The Basso Mouse Scale (BMS) and CatWalk automated gait analysis system were used for motor function recovery evaluation. Motor evoked potentials (MEPs) were also identified. In addition, adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated PGC1α knockdown in OLs was used to further unravel the role of PGC1α in exercise-induced remyelination. We found that treadmill training boosts oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) proliferation, potentiates oligodendrocytes (OLs) maturation, and increases myelin-related protein and myelin sheath thickness, thus impelling myelin repair and hindlimb functional performance as well as the speed and amplitude of nerve conduction after SCI. Additionally, downregulating PGC1α through AAV attenuated these positive effects of treadmill training. Collectively, our results suggest that treadmill training enhances remyelination and functional recovery by upregulating PGC1α, which should provide a step forward in the understanding of the effects of physical exercise on myelin repair.

Abstract
Background Diabetes-induced cardiac fibrosis is one of the main mechanisms of diabetic cardiomyopathy. As a common histone methyltransferase, enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) has been implicated in fibrosis progression in multiple organs. However, the mechanism of EZH2 in diabetic myocardial fibrosis has not been clarified. Methods In the current study, rat and mouse diabetic model were established, the left ventricular function of rat and mouse were evaluated by echocardiography and the fibrosis of rat ventricle was evaluated by Masson staining. Primary rat ventricular fibroblasts were cultured and stimulated with high glucose (HG) in vitro. The expression of histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27) trimethylation, EZH2, and myocardial fibrosis proteins were assayed. Results In STZ-induced diabetic ventricular tissues and HG-induced primary ventricular fibroblasts in vitro, H3K27 trimethylation was increased and the phosphorylation of EZH2 was reduced. Inhibition of EZH2 with GSK126 suppressed the activation, differentiation, and migration of cardiac fibroblasts as well as the overexpression of the fibrotic proteins induced by HG. Mechanical study demonstrated that HG reduced phosphorylation of EZH2 on Thr311 by inactivating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which transcriptionally inhibited peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPAR-γ) expression to promote the fibroblasts activation and differentiation. Conclusion Our data revealed an AMPK/EZH2/PPAR-γ signal pathway is involved in HG-induced cardiac fibrosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Primary syphilis is characterized by painless ulcerative lesions in the genitalia, the aetiology of painless remains elusive. OBJECTIVES To investigate the role of Treponema pallidum in painless ulcer of primary syphilis, and the mechanisms underlying painless ulcers caused by T. pallidum. METHODS An experimental rabbit model of primary syphilis was established to investigate its effects on peripheral nerve tissues. Human skin fibroblasts were used to examine the role of T. pallidum in modulating neurotransmitters associated with pain and to explore the signalling pathways related to neurotransmitter secretion by T. pallidum in vitro. RESULTS Treponema pallidum infection did not directly lead to neuronal damage or interfere with the neuronal resting potential. Instead, it facilitated the secretion of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) through endoplasmic reticulum stress in both rabbit and human skin fibroblasts, and upregulation of PGE2 induced the hyperpolarization of neurones. Moreover, the IRE1α/COX-2 signalling pathway was identified as the underlying mechanism by which T. pallidum induced the production of PGE2 in human skin fibroblasts. CONCLUSION Treponema pallidum promotes PGE2 secretion in skin fibroblasts, leading to the excitation of neuronal hyperpolarization and potentially contributing to the pathogenesis of painless ulcers in syphilis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Previous studies have acknowledged the presence of eosinophilic cytoplasm in clear cell renal cell carcinoma, yet the precise quantification method and potential molecular attributes in clear cell renal cell carcinoma remain elusive. This study endeavours to precisely quantify the eosinophilic attribute and probe into the molecular mechanisms governing its presence in clear cell renal cell carcinoma. METHODS Data from cohorts of clear cell renal cell carcinoma patients who underwent nephrectomy, comprising The Cancer Genome Atlas cohort (n = 475) and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center cohort (n = 480), were aggregated to assess the eosinophilic attribute. Additionally, Omics data from Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) (n = 58) were leveraged to explore the potential molecular features associated with eosinophilic clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Employing receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, the proportion of tumour cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm was determined, leading to the classification of each cohort into distinct groups: a clear group (<5%) and an eosinophilic group (≥5%). RESULTS In both cohorts, the eosinophilic feature consistently correlated with higher International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) grade, elevated tumor stage, and the presence of necrosis. Furthermore, the Kaplan-Meier method demonstrated that patients in the eosinophilic group exhibited shorter overall survival or disease-free survival compared with those in the clear group, a pattern reaffirmed in various stratified survival analyses. Intriguingly, within The Cancer Genome Atlas cohort, the pathological characterization of cell cytoplasm (eosinophilic vs. clear) emerged as an independent risk factor for overall survival (hazard ratio = 2.507 [95% confidence interval: 1.328-4.733], P = 0.005) or disease-free survival (hazard ratio = 1.730 [95% confidence interval: 1.062-2.818], P = 0.028) via Cox regression analysis. Moreover, multi-Omics data unveiled frequent BAP1 mutations and down-regulation of Erythroblast Transformation-Specific-Related Gene associated with the eosinophilic feature in clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Additionally, patients with low expression of Erythroblast Transformation-Specific-Related Gene showed worse overall survival (P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS The quantification of the eosinophilic feature serves as a robust predictor of clinical prognosis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Furthermore, the manifestation of this feature may be linked to BAP1 mutations and the down-regulation of Erythroblast Transformation-Specific-Related Gene in clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Significantly, the expression levels of Erythroblast Transformation-Specific-Related Gene manifest as an exemplary prognostic marker, providing exceptional predictive accuracy for the clinical prognosis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Abstract
Spinal cord injury (SCI) results in stalled motor function recovery under the chronic phase. One of the reasons due to the presence of ongoing inflammation. Therefore, regulating the status of immune cells may help reopen the window for neural repair, which represents a potential therapeutic target. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether this could be achieved in mice with cervical 5 crush CSCI (4 W) by utilizing a concentration of 0.5 mg/kg of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to stimulate microglia/macrophages. Additionally, the mice underwent rehabilitation training for another 6 weeks. Our results showed that systemic injection of LPS enhanced the effects of forelimb rehabilitation training, as evaluated through single pellet grasping (SPG). Electrophysiological studies revealed the restoration of cortical drive to the injured side's forelimb muscles in the training combined with LPS group. Tract tracing studies demonstrated the reconstruction of cortical innervation to the cervical spinal cord. Furthermore, the levels of pro-inflammatory phenotype markers, such as inducible nitric oxide synthase (INOS) and CD68, decreased, while the expression of anti-inflammatory phenotype markers, including arginase 1 (ARG-1) and CD206, increased. Importantly, this phenotypic switch in microglia/macrophages was accompanied by an increase in phagocytic activity markers as indicated by BODIPY + IBA1 + staining. Collectively, our data suggests that low-dose LPS improves the effects of rehabilitation training by regulating the phenotypic transformation of microglia/macrophages in CSCI. This study provides a fresh perspective and intervention direction for the clinical treatment of chronic spinal cord injuries.

Abstract
AIM To explore the value of multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics combined with traditional radiologist-defined semantic characteristics and conventional (cMRI) and functional MRI (fMRI) texture features in predicting Fuhrman grade of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS The data of 89 patients with histopathologically proven ccRCC (low-grade, 54; high-grade, 35) were collected. Texture features were extracted from cMRI (T1- and T2-weighted imaging) and fMRI (Dixon-MRI; blood-oxygen-level dependent [BOLD]-MRI; and susceptibility-weighted imaging [SWI]) images, and the traditional characteristics (TC) were evaluated. Logistic regression analysis was performed to develop models based on TC, cMRI, and fMRI texture features for grading. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and leave-group-out cross-validation (LGOCV) were performed to test the reliability of combined models. RESULTS Two T2-weighted imaging-based, two Dixon_W-based, one Dixon_F-based, one BOLD-based, and three SWI-based texture features, and three TC were extracted for feature selection. TC, cMRI, fMRI, cMRI+fMRI, cMRI+TC, fMRI+TC, and cMRI+fMRI+TC models were constructed. The AUC of the cMRI+fMRI+TC model for differentiating high- from low-grade ccRCC was 0.74, with 81.42% accuracy, 75.93% sensitivity, and 91.43% specificity. The fMRI+TC model exhibited a performance similar to that of the cMRI+fMRI+TC model (p>0.05). The areas under the curve (AUCs) of the fMRI+TC and cMRI+fMRI+TC models were significantly higher than those of the other five models (all p<0.05). For the cMRI+fMRI+TC model, the mean accuracy was 85.40% after 100 LGOCV for the test sets. CONCLUSION Multimodal MRI radiomics combined with TC, cMRI, and fMRI texture features may be a reliable quantitative approach for differentiating high-grade ccRCC from low-grade ccRCC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aims to reveal the single and mixed associations of PM2.5 and its components with very, moderately, and late preterm births and to explore the potential mediating role of pregnancy complications in PM2.5-induced preterm birth. STUDY DESIGN This was a retrospective cohort study. METHODS We enrolled 168,852 mothers and matched the concentrations of PM2.5 and its five components (OM, SO42-, BC, NO3-, and NH4+) based on their geographical location. Next, we used generalized linear models, quantile g-computation, and mediation analysis to evaluate the associations of PM2.5 and its components with very, moderately, and late preterm births and the mediating role of pregnancy complications. RESULTS Prenatal exposure to PM2.5 and its components was associated with preterm birth, and the association was strongest in the third trimester. Preterm birth was associated with co-exposure to a mixture of PM2.5 components in the third trimester, and the contributions of NO3-, NH4+, and BC to the risk of preterm birth were positive. Meanwhile, pregnancy complications mediated PM2.5-induced preterm birth. Moreover, very and moderately preterm births were associated with PM2.5 and its components in the second and third trimesters, and very and late preterm births were associated with co-exposure to a mixture of PM2.5 components in the third trimester. CONCLUSIONS Later exposure to PM2.5 during pregnancy will cause earlier preterm birth. Targeted and positive interventions for anthropogenic sources of specific PM2.5 components and pregnancy complications are helpful for preterm birth prevention.

Abstract
Introduction Suicidal ideation is a critical early stage in the progression towards suicidal be havior. Prior research has established links between sleep quality, impulsivity, and suicidal tendencies, yet the interaction among these factors has been less explored. This study aims to explore the mediating role of impulsivity in the relationship between sleep quality and suicidal ideation in adolescents. Methods Employing a cross-sectional study design, 6,974 questionnaires were distributed,including the Socio-demographic Characteristics Questionnaire, Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, the Positive and Negative Suicide Ideation Inventory,and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale. The participants were high school and middle school students from 33 schools in northeastern Sichuan, China, selected through random cluster sampling. Results Of these 6,786 questionnaires were analyzed. The participant distribution included 47.2% male and 52.8% female students, with 68.3% from junior schools and 31.7% from senior schools. The prevalence of suicidal ideation was found to be 13.6%. The analysis, which involved correlation analysis and the construction of a structural equation model, revealed that sleep quality had a significant positive effect on impulsivity (β:0.289,p < 0.05), and impulsivity, in turn, had a positive impact on suicidal ideation (β:0.355,p < 0.05).Moreover, sleep quality was directly linked to suicidal ideation (β:0.208,p < 0.05). Thus, sleep quality affects suicidal ideation both directly and indirectly through impulsivity. Discussion The results of this study suggest that both sleep quality and impulsivity are significant direct influencers of suicidal ideation among adolescents in the region studied, with impulsivity also playing an indirect role in the relationship between sleep quality and suicidal ideation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cancer of unknown primary (CUP) is a very challenging disease, accounting for 2% to 9% of all new cancer cases. This type of tumor is a heterogeneous tumor whose primary site cannot be determined by standard examination. It has the characteristics of early metastasis, strong aggressiveness, and unpredictable mode of metastasis. Studies have shown that there is no consensus on the treatment of CUP and that there is a wide range of individual differences. In most cases, surgical removal of tumor is the most typical treatment for pelvic tumors. Herein, we report a case of a large pelvic tumor of unknown origin that had compressed the sigmoid colon and ureter and was completely removed by surgery. Postoperative diagnosis was pelvic metastatic squamous cell carcinoma. CASE SUMMARY A 68-year-old man with pelvic tumor who initially complained of recurrent low back pain and painful urination. The mass was initially diagnosed as a pelvic tumor of unknown origin. The patient underwent complete resection of the tumor by laparotomy. The tumor was pathologically diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma. CONCLUSION Based on the treatment experience of this case, surgery alone cannot improve the poor prognosis of CUP. Since chemotherapy and immunotherapy have achieved promising efficacy in various cancers, and immunotherapy has the characteristics of low side effects and good tolerability, we recommend that patients with CUP should receive chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy for better survival outcomes.

Abstract
The prevalence of non-suicidal self-injurious (NSSI) in adolescents is high. However, few studies exist to predict NSSI in this population. This study employed a machine learning algorithm to develop a predictive model, aiming to more accurately assess the risk of NSSI in Chinese adolescents. Sociodemographic, psychological data were collected in 50 schools in western China. We constructed eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model and multivariate logistic regression model to predict the risk of NSSI and nomograms are plotted. Data from 13,304 adolescents were used for model development, with an average age of 13.00 ± 2.17 years; 617 individuals (4.6 %) reported non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behaviors. The results of the XGBoost model showed that depression and anxiety were the top two predictors of NSSI in adolescents. The results of the multivariate logistic regression model showed that the risk factors for adolescent NSSI behaviors include: gender (being female), Age, Living with whom (father), History of psychiatric consultation, Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Tolerance, Emotion abreaction. The XGBoost prediction and multivariate logistic regression model showed good predictive ability. Nomograms can serve as clinical tools to assist in intervention measures, helping adolescents reduce NSSI behaviors and improve their mental and physical well-being.

Abstract
Due to the limited reliability of traditional self-completed questionnaire, the accuracy of measurement of physical behaviors (physical activity, sedentary behavior and sleep) is not high. With the development of technology, wearable devices (e.g. accelerometer) can be used for more accurate measurement of physical behaviors and have great application potential in large-scale research. However, the data of objective measurement of physical behaviors from large-scale cohort research in Asian populations is still limited. Between August 2020 and December 2021, the 3rd resurvey of China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) project used Axivity AX3 wrist triaxial accelerometer to collect the data of participants' daily activity and sleep status. A total of 20 370 participants from 10 study areas were included in the study, in whom 65.2% were women, and the age was (65.4±9.1) years. The participants' physical activity level varied greatly in different study areas. The objective measurement of participants' physical behaviors in CKB project has provided valuable resources for the description of 24-hour patterns of physical behaviors and evaluation of the health effect of physical activity, sedentary behavior and sleep as well as their association with diseases in the elderly in China.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of belimumab treatment in refractory anti-phospholipid antibody-associated immune thrombocytopenia with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). METHOD Four SLE patients with refractory anti-phospholipid antibody-associated immune thrombocytopenia were included in this one-arm observational study. Inclusion criteria were a diagnosis of SLE according to 1997 American College of Rheumatology criteria, severe immune thrombocytopenia (platelets <30 × 109/L), no bleeding symptoms, lack of satisfactory response to traditional treatment, and high-titre anti-phospholipid antibodies. All patients received belimumab (Benlysta®) for 6 months. RESULTS The mean platelet count was 21.8 × 109 cells/L, ranging between 16 and 29 × 109/L at baseline, 123.3 × 109/L at 1 month, and 172.5 × 109/L at the end of 6 months after belimumab treatment. No bleeding complications occurred during the entire follow-up period. CONCLUSION In this study, belimumab reduced the anti-phospholipid antibodies while increasing the platelet count in SLE patients with anti-phospholipid antibody-associated immune thrombocytopenia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND High-dose methotrexate (HD-MTX) combined with other chemotherapeutic agents is an effective treatment for patients with newly diagnosed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL); however, some patients have adverse reactions. AIM To retrospectively evaluate disease outcomes and mutational profiles in newly diagnosed PCNSL patients treated with a zanubrutinib/HD-MTX combination regimen. METHODS Nineteen newly diagnosed PCNSL patients were treated with zanubrutinib/HD-MTX until disease progression, intolerable toxicities, or physician/patient-directed withdrawal. Safety and efficacy were assessed per the CTCAE v5.0 and RECIST v1.1 criteria, respectively. The primary endpoint was the objective response rate (ORR), and the secondary endpoints were progression-free survival, overall survival (OS), and safety. RESULTS The median follow-up duration was 14.7 mo (range, 3.9-30 mo). The ORR for all patients was 84.2%, and 2-year progression-free- and OS rates were 75.6% and 94.1%, respectively. All patients completed the induction phase, and nine patients underwent autologous stem cell transplantation as consolidation therapy, resulting in an ORR of 88.9%. Ten patients received zanubrutinib as maintenance therapy and achieved an ORR of 80%. All patients showed an acceptable safety profile. The sequencing results for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and tumor tissue showed that PIM1 mutations were the most frequent genetic alterations. Circulating tumor DNA was correlated with disease relapse and response. CONCLUSION Our empirical observations demonstrated that the combination of zanubrutinib with HD-MTX yielded a marked clinical response and tolerability among newly diagnosed PCNSL patients. Non-invasive CSF liquid biopsy profiling may be feasible for evaluating treatment response and tumor burden.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Individuals with X chromosomal translocations, variable phenotypes, and a high risk of live birth defects are of interest for scientific study. These characteristics are related to differential breakpoints and various types of chromosomal abnormalities. To investigate the effects of X chromosome translocation on clinical phenotype, a retrospective analysis of clinical data for patients with X chromosome translocation was conducted. Karyotype analysis plus endocrine evaluation was utilized for all the patients. Additional semen analysis and Y chromosome microdeletions were assessed in male patients. RESULTS X chromosome translocations were detected in ten cases, including seven females and three males. Infantile uterus and no ovaries were detected in case 1 (FSH: 114 IU/L, LH: 30.90 mIU/mL, E2: < 5.00 pg/ml), and the karyotype was confirmed as 46,X,t(X;22)(q25;q11.2) in case 1. Infantile uterus and small ovaries were both visible in two cases (FSH: 34.80 IU/L, LH: 17.06 mIU/mL, E2: 15.37 pg/ml in case 2; FISH: 6.60 IU/L, LH: 1.69 mIU/mL, E2: 23.70 pg/ml in case 3). The karyotype was detected as 46,X,t(X;8)(q13;q11.2) in case 2 and 46,X,der(X)t(X;5)(q21;q31) in case 3. Normal reproductive hormone levels and fertility abilities were found for cases 4, 6 and 7. The karyotype were detected as 46,X,t(X;5)(p22.3;q22) in case 4 and 46,X,der(X)t(X;Y)(p22.3;q11.2) in cases 6 and 7. These patients exhibited unremarkable clinical manifestations but experienced a history of abnormal chromosomal pregnancy. Normal phenotype and a complex reciprocal translocation as 46,X,t(X;14;4)(q24;q22;q33) were observed in case 5 with a history of spontaneous abortions. In the three male patients, multiple semen analyses confirmed the absence of sperm. Y chromosome microdeletion and hormonal analyses were normal. The karyotypes were detected as 46,Y,t(X;8)(q26;q22), 46,Y,t(X;1)(q26;q23), 46,Y,t(X;3)(q26;p24), respectively. CONCLUSIONS Our study provides insights into individuals with X chromosome translocations. The clinical phenotypes are variable and unpredictable due to differences in breakpoints and X chromosome inactivation (XCI) patterns. Our results suggest that physicians should focus on the characteristics of the X chromosome translocations and provide personalized clinical evaluations in genetic counselling.

Abstract
Synthesizing catalysts for efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) with lower cost and simpler design is of significant importance to achieve sustainable hydrogen production. In this work, we propose a novel "sacrificial solvent method" for the first time. Dicobalt octacarbonyl (Co2(CO)8), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and Ni foam (NF) were used as the raw materials in the solvothermal process. DMSO played the role of both the sacrificial solvent and the sulfur source. Through the self-consumption of DMSO, we finally obtained the Co9S8/Ni3S2 heterostructure supported on the NF (Co9S8/Ni3S2@NF) in one step. The Co9S8/Ni3S2@NF catalyst exhibited excellent OER activity in alkaline environment, with an overpotential of only 264 mV at a current density of 20 mA cm-2, a low Tafel slope of 68.28 mV dec-1 and maintained its current density after 20 h of constant potential testing. This work introduces a new method for synthesizing metal sulfide catalysts using DMSO as a sacrificial solvent. It provides broader opportunities for the development of more efficient and sustainable catalysts for energy conversion and storage.

Abstract
The burgeoning amount of single-cell data has been accompanied by revolutionary changes to computational methods to map, quantify, and analyze the outputs of these cutting-edge technologies. Many are still unable to reap the benefits of these advancements due to the lack of bioinformatics expertise. To address this issue, we present Ursa, an automated single-cell multiomics R package containing 6 automated single-cell omics and spatial transcriptomics workflows. Ursa allows scientists to carry out post-quantification single or multiomics analyses in genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, proteomics, and immunomics at the single-cell level. It serves as a 1-stop analytic solution by providing users with outcomes to quality control assessments, multidimensional analyses such as dimension reduction and clustering, and extended analyses such as pseudotime trajectory and gene-set enrichment analyses. Ursa aims bridge the gap between those with bioinformatics expertise and those without by providing an easy-to-use bioinformatics package for scientists in hoping to accelerate their research potential. Abstract
BACKGROUND The efficacy of systemic treatment for primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is limited because of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and the ineffectiveness of chemotherapy. The dual PI3K/HDAC inhibitor BEBT-908 has exhibited favorable in vivo distribution and activity in various cancers. OBJECTIVES The aims of this study were to assess the efficacy of BEBT-908 in brain orthotopic mouse models of hematological malignancies, to investigate its pharmacologic properties, and to elucidate the underlying mechanism of action. METHODS We evaluated the anticancer activity of BEBT-908 in various hematological malignancies through cell viability assays. The impact of BEBT-908 on c-Myc expression and ferroptosis signaling pathways was assessed using Western blotting, qPCR, ROS detection, GSH/GSSG detection, and IHC. Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles were assessed through LC-MS/MS and Western blotting. The effects of BEBT-908 in vivo were examined using xenografts and brain orthotopic mouse models. RESULTS Our findings demonstrate that BEBT-908 exhibits promising anti-tumor activity in vitro and in vivo across multiple subtypes of hematological malignancies. Furthermore, BEBT-908 exhibits excellent BBB penetration and inhibits tumor growth in a brain orthotopic lymphoma model with prolonged survival of host mice. Mechanistically, BEBT-908 downregulated c-Myc expression, which contributed to ferroptosis, ultimately leading to tumor shrinkage. CONCLUSION Our study provides robust evidence for the dual PI3K/HDAC inhibitor BEBT-908 as an effective anti-cancer agent for PCNSL.

Abstract
Background A proper evaluation on the intention of using nutrition label in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) is crucial to design and formulate of behavior-based interventions. A valid and reliable instrument based on theoretical basis is needed to measure individual intention toward nutrition label use and identify underlying socio-cognitive factors. Object To develop and test validity and reliability of the theoretically based nutrition label use (NLU) scale and to promote the use of nutrition labels in CHD patients. Methods A questionnaire was developed based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), empirical literatures, expert review and pilot tested. A total of 460 CHD patients in a hospital in Changsha were investigated using this questionnaire from April 2021 to August 2021. The items and dimensions in the scale were explored and confirmed using item-analysis, content validity, exploratory factor analytical (EFA), confirmatory factor analytical (CFA), internal consistency and split-half reliability tests. Results A total of 33 items with 4 structural factors were identified, including 10 items of attitude, 6 items of subjective norm, 12 items of perceived behavior control, and 5 items of intention. The total variance explained by the EFA model was 68.563%. The model was further tested with CFA. The measurement model fitted the data well (Ratio of chi-square minimum and degree of freedom (CMIN/DF) =1.743, goodness of fit index (GFI) =0.814, incremental fit index (IFI) =0.946, Tuker-Lewis index (TLI) =0.940, the comparative fit index (CFI) =0.945, the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) =0.057). The content validation index (CVI) of the scale was 0.82, and the CVI of the items ranged from 0.8 to 1.00. The reliability of the scale was 0.976 (p < 0 0.001) using Cronbach's alpha and 0.937 (p < 0.001) using the split-half coefficient. Conclusion The newly developed Nutrition Label Use Scale can serve as a valid and reliable tool to evaluate the nutrition label use of CHD patients.

Abstract
Inspired by the interesting and novel properties exhibited by Janus transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and two-dimensional pentagonal structures, we here investigated the structural stability, mechanical, electronic, photocatalytic, and optical properties for a class of two-dimensional (2D) pentagonal Janus TMDs, namely penta-MSeTe (M = Ni, Pd, Pt) monolayers, by using density functional theory (DFT) combined with Hubbard's correction (U). Our results showed that these monolayers exhibit good structural stability, appropriate band structures for photocatalysts, high visible light absorption, and good photocatalytic applicability. The calculated electronic properties reveal that the penta-MSeTe are semiconductors with a bandgap range of 2.06-2.39 eV, and their band edge positions meet the requirements for water-splitting photocatalysts in various environments (pH = 0-13). We used stress engineering to seek higher solar-to-hydrogen (STH) efficiency in acidic (pH = 0), neutral (pH = 7) and alkaline (pH = 13) environments for penta-MSeTe from 0% to +8% biaxial and uniaxial strains. Our results showed that penta-PdSeTe stretched 8% along the y direction and demonstrates an STH efficiency of up to 29.71% when pH = 0, which breaks the theoretical limit of the conventional photocatalytic model. We also calculated the optical properties and found that they exhibit high absorption (13.11%) in the visible light range and possess a diverse range of hyperbolic regions. Hence, it is anticipated that penta-MSeTe materials hold great promise for applications in photocatalytic water splitting and optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) and total rectal mesenteric resection (TME) are the primary treatment options for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC), but their efficacy varies. This study aimed to investigate the impact of anemia on the tumor response of patients with LARC receiving preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. MATERIALS/METHODS This study was a retrospective analysis of clinical and pathological data from patients with LARC who underwent nCRT and TME from January 2019 to May 2022 at a single institution. The tumor response was evaluated based on the tumor regression grade (TRG) and T-stage change of the primary tumor. Hemoglobin concentration was measured and graded to determine the presence of anemia. Anemia was categorized into four groups based on the hemoglobin levels: mild anemia (90-120 g/L), moderate anemia (60-90 g/L), severe anemia (30-60 g/L), and extreme anemia (less than 30 g/L). Finally, tumor response was quantified histologically using the AJCC 8th edition tumor regression grading system for rectal cancer and pre- and post-treatment T-grading. RESULTS A total of 88 patients with LARC who received nCRT and TME were included in the study, with 17 females and 71 males. Of these patients, 9 were moderately anemic and 37 were mildly anemic. The radiation therapy regimen was administered at a dose of 1.8-2 Gy per fraction, five times a week, for a total dose of 45-50.4 Gy. Capecitabine chemotherapy was also administered orally (825 mg/m2, twice a day) on the days of radiation therapy. Other chemotherapy regimens included XELOX and mFOLFOX6. The TRG was significantly different in anemic patients compared to non-anemic patients (P = 0.039). Only 2 out of 46 anemic patients (4%) showed an excellent response (TRG0), while 8 out of 42 non-anemic patients (19%) showed an excellent response (p = 0.043). There was also a significant difference in the incidence of anemia between cT3 and cT4 stages (p = 0.048), with 44% of cT3 patients and 67% of cT4 patients being anemic. The number of patients with poor response (TRG2-3) decreased as the degree of anemia decreased, but no significant difference was found. The incidence of TRG3 was 11% in patients with moderate anemia and 7% in non-anemic patients (P = 0.863). There was no significant difference in postoperative pathological T-stage between anemic and non-anemic patients. 89% of anemic patients had a pathological stage of ypT3 or less after chemoradiotherapy, while 95% of non-anemic patients did (P = 0.167). The pre- and post-treatment pathological staging did not significantly differ between anemic and non-anemic patients. 67% of anemic patients had descending tumors, while 59.5% of non-anemic patients had descending tumors (p = 0.509). CONCLUSION Patients with LARC who have normal hemoglobin concentrations during nCRT have better tumor regression compared to patients with anemia. Additionally, the incidence of anemia was higher among patients with advanced T-stage prior to treatment.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) combined with osteopontin (OPN) on the protein expression levels and growth of neuronal axons and its possible mechanism. In this study, IGF-1 combined with OPN promoted neuronal axon growth through the IGF-1R/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in lipid rafts, and the effect was better than that of either agent alone. This effect was suppressed when given the mTOR inhibitor rapamycin or the lipid raft cholesterol extraction agent methyl-β-cyclodextrin (M-β-CD). Rapamycin could inhibit the expression of phosphorylated ribosomal S6 protein (p-S6) and phosphorylated protein kinase B (p-Akt) and limit axon growth. In addition to the above effects, M-β-CD significantly downregulated the expression of phosphorylated insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (p-IR). To further investigate the changes in lipid rafts when stimulated by different recombinant proteins, membrane lipid rafts were isolated to observe the changes by western blot. The expression levels of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IR) and P-IR in the IGF-1 combined with OPN group were the highest. When M-β-CD was administered to the lipid rafts of neurons, the enrichment of IR by IGF-1 combined with OPN was weakened, and the p-IR was decreased. Our study found that IGF-1 combined with OPN could promote axon growth by activating the IGF-1R/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in neuronal lipid rafts.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze and compare therapy responses, outcomes, and incidence of severe hematologic adverse events of flumatinib and imatinib in patients newly diagnosed with chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) . Methods: Data of patients with chronic phase CML diagnosed between January 2006 and November 2022 from 76 centers, aged ≥18 years, and received initial flumatinib or imatinib therapy within 6 months after diagnosis in China were retrospectively interrogated. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was performed to reduce the bias of the initial TKI selection, and the therapy responses and outcomes of patients receiving initial flumatinib or imatinib therapy were compared. Results: A total of 4 833 adult patients with CML receiving initial imatinib (n=4 380) or flumatinib (n=453) therapy were included in the study. In the imatinib cohort, the median follow-up time was 54 [interquartile range (IQR), 31-85] months, and the 7-year cumulative incidences of CCyR, MMR, MR(4), and MR(4.5) were 95.2%, 88.4%, 78.3%, and 63.0%, respectively. The 7-year FFS, PFS, and OS rates were 71.8%, 93.0%, and 96.9%, respectively. With the median follow-up of 18 (IQR, 13-25) months in the flumatinib cohort, the 2-year cumulative incidences of CCyR, MMR, MR(4), and MR(4.5) were 95.4%, 86.5%, 58.4%, and 46.6%, respectively. The 2-year FFS, PFS, and OS rates were 80.1%, 95.0%, and 99.5%, respectively. The PSM analysis indicated that patients receiving initial flumatinib therapy had significantly higher cumulative incidences of CCyR, MMR, MR(4), and MR(4.5) and higher probabilities of FFS than those receiving the initial imatinib therapy (all P<0.001), whereas the PFS (P=0.230) and OS (P=0.268) were comparable between the two cohorts. The incidence of severe hematologic adverse events (grade≥Ⅲ) was comparable in the two cohorts. Conclusion: Patients receiving initial flumatinib therapy had higher cumulative incidences of therapy responses and higher probability of FFS than those receiving initial imatinib therapy, whereas the incidence of severe hematologic adverse events was comparable between the two cohorts.

Abstract
Earth's mantle has a two-layered structure, with the upper and lower mantle domains separated by a seismic discontinuity at about 660 km (refs. 1,2). The extent of mass transfer between these mantle domains throughout Earth's history is, however, poorly understood. Continental crust extraction results in Ti-stable isotopic fractionation, producing isotopically light melting residues3-7. Mantle recycling of these components can impart Ti isotope variability that is trackable in deep time. We report ultrahigh-precision 49Ti/47Ti ratios for chondrites, ancient terrestrial mantle-derived lavas ranging from 3.8 to 2.0 billion years ago (Ga) and modern ocean island basalts (OIBs). Our new Ti bulk silicate Earth (BSE) estimate based on chondrites is 0.052 ± 0.006‰ heavier than the modern upper mantle sampled by normal mid-ocean ridge basalts (N-MORBs). The 49Ti/47Ti ratio of Earth's upper mantle was chondritic before 3.5 Ga and evolved to a N-MORB-like composition between approximately 3.5 and 2.7 Ga, establishing that more continental crust was extracted during this epoch. The +0.052 ± 0.006‰ offset between BSE and N-MORBs requires that <30% of Earth's mantle equilibrated with recycled crustal material, implying limited mass exchange between the upper and lower mantle and, therefore, preservation of a primordial lower-mantle reservoir for most of Earth's geologic history. Modern OIBs record variable 49Ti/47Ti ratios ranging from chondritic to N-MORBs compositions, indicating continuing disruption of Earth's primordial mantle. Thus, modern-style plate tectonics with high mass transfer between the upper and lower mantle only represents a recent feature of Earth's history.

Abstract
Childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE) is an autoimmune disease that results in significant damage and often needs more aggressive treatment. Compared to adult-onset SLE, cSLE has a stronger genetic background and more prevalent elevated type I Interferon expression. The management of cSLE is more challenging because the disease itself and treatment can affect physical, psychological and emotional growth and development. High dose oral glucocorticoid (GC) has become the rule for treating moderate to severe cSLE activity. However, GC-related side effects and potential toxicities are problems that cannot be ignored. Recent studies have suggested that GC pulse therapy can achieve disease remission rapidly and reduce GC-related side effects with a reduction in oral prednisone doses. This article reviews characteristics, including pathogenesis and manifestations of cSLE, and summarized the existing evidence on GC therapy, especially on GC pulse therapy in cSLE, followed by our proposal for GC therapy according to the clinical effects and pathogenesis.

Abstract
Stroke is a major healthcare problem worldwide, particularly in the elderly population. Despite limited research on the development of prediction models for mortality in elderly individuals with ischemic stroke, our study aimed to address this knowledge gap. By leveraging data from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV database, we collected comprehensive raw data pertaining to elderly patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke. Through meticulous screening of clinical variables associated with 28-day mortality, we successfully established a robust nomogram. To assess the performance and clinical utility of our nomogram, various statistical analyses were conducted, including the concordance index, integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), net reclassification index (NRI), calibration curves and decision curve analysis (DCA). Our study comprised a total of 1259 individuals, who were further divided into training (n = 894) and validation (n = 365) cohorts. By identifying several common clinical features, we developed a nomogram that exhibited a concordance index of 0.809 in the training dataset. Notably, our findings demonstrated positive improvements in predictive performance through the IDI and NRI analyses in both cohorts. Furthermore, calibration curves indicated favorable agreement between the predicted and actual incidence of mortality (P > 0.05). DCA curves highlighted the substantial net clinical benefit of our nomogram compared to existing scoring systems used in routine clinical practice. In conclusion, our study successfully constructed and validated a prognostic nomogram, which enables accurate short-term mortality prediction in elderly individuals with ischemic stroke.

Abstract
Objective: JWH133, a cannabinoid type 2 receptor agonist, was tested for its ability to protect mice from bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis. Methods: By using a random number generator, 24 C57BL/6J male mice were randomly divided into the control group, model group, JWH133 intervention group, and JWH133+a cannabinoid type-2 receptor antagonist (AM630) inhibitor group, with 6 mice in each group. A mouse pulmonary fibrosis model was established by tracheal instillation of bleomycin (5 mg/kg). Starting from the first day after modeling, the control group mice were intraperitoneally injected with 0.1 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution, and the model group mice were intraperitoneally injected with 0.1 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The JWH133 intervention group mice were intraperitoneally injected with 0.1 ml of JWH133 (2.5 mg/kg, dissolved in physiological saline), and the JWH133+AM630 antagonistic group mice were intraperitoneally injected with 0.1 ml of JWH133 (2.5 mg/kg) and AM630 (2.5 mg/kg). After 28 days, all mice were killed; the lung tissue was obtained, pathological changes were observed, and alveolar inflammation scores and Ashcroft scores were calculated. The content of type Ⅰ collagen in the lung tissue of the four groups of mice was measured using immunohistochemistry. The levels of interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) in the serum of the four groups of mice were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the content of hydroxyproline (HYP) in the lung tissue of the four groups of mice was measured. Western blotting was used to measure the protein expression levels of type Ⅲ collagen, α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK1/2), phosphorylated P-ERK1/2 (P-ERK1/2), and phosphorylated ribosome S6 kinase type 1 (P-p90RSK) in the lung tissue of mice in the four groups. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to measure the expression levels of collagen Ⅰ, collagen Ⅲ, and α-SMA mRNA in the lung tissue of the four groups of mice. Results: Compared with the control group, the pathological changes in the lung tissue of the model group mice worsened, with an increase in alveolar inflammation score (3.833±0.408 vs. 0.833±0.408, P<0.05), an increase in Ashcroft score (7.333±0.516 vs. 2.000±0.633, P<0.05), an increase in type Ⅰ collagen absorbance value (0.065±0.008 vs. 0.018±0.006, P<0.05), an increase in inflammatory cell infiltration, and an increase in hydroxyproline levels [(1.551±0.051) μg/mg vs. (0.974±0.060) μg/mg, P<0.05]. Compared with the model group, the JWH133 intervention group showed reduced pathological changes in lung tissue, decreased alveolar inflammation score (1.833±0.408, P<0.05), decreased Ashcroft score (4.167±0.753, P<0.05), decreased type Ⅰ collagen absorbance value (0.032±0.004, P<0.05), reduced inflammatory cell infiltration, and decreased hydroxyproline levels [(1.148±0.055) μg/mg, P<0.05]. Compared with the JWH133 intervention group, the JWH133+AM630 antagonistic group showed more severe pathological changes in the lung tissue of mice, increased alveolar inflammation score and Ashcroft score, increased type Ⅰ collagen absorbance value, increased inflammatory cell infiltration, and increased hydroxyproline levels. Compared with the control group, the expression of α-SMA, type Ⅲ collagen, P-ERK1/2, and P-p90RSK proteins in the lung tissue of the model group mice increased, while the expression of type Ⅰ collagen, type Ⅲ collagen, and α-SMA mRNA increased. Compared with the model group, the protein expression of α-SMA (relative expression 0.60±0.17 vs. 1.34±0.19, P<0.05), type Ⅲ collagen (relative expression 0.52±0.09 vs. 1.35±0.14, P<0.05), P-ERK1/2 (relative expression 0.32±0.11 vs. 1.14±0.14, P<0.05), and P-p90RSK (relative expression 0.43±0.14 vs. 1.15±0.07, P<0.05) decreased in the JWH133 intervention group. The type Ⅰ collagen mRNA (2.190±0.362 vs. 5.078±0.792, P<0.05), type Ⅲ collagen mRNA (1.750±0.290 vs. 4.935±0.456, P<0.05), and α-SMA mRNA (1.588±0.060 vs. 5.192±0.506, P<0.05) decreased. Compared with the JWH133 intervention group, the JWH133+AM630 antagonistic group increased the expression of α-SMA, type Ⅲ collagen, P-ERK1/2, and P-p90RSK protein in the lung tissue of mice, and increased the expression of type Ⅲ collagen and α-SMA mRNA. Conclusion: In mice with bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis, the cannabinoid type-2 receptor agonist JWH133 inhibited inflammation and improved extracellular matrix deposition, which alleviated lung fibrosis. The underlying mechanism of action may be related to the activation of the ERK1/2-RSK1 signaling pathway.

Abstract
Objectives: To date, there is a lack of consensus on the timely implementation of palliative care (PC) in patients with chronic heart failure (HF). We aimed to investigate the impact of primary PC intervention on chronic HF patients with different classes of cardiac function, and to determine a proper time point for the implementation of primary PC intervention. Methods: A consecutive series of 180 chronic HF patients with the New York Heart Association (NYHA) Cardiac function ranging from I to III were enrolled in this study. Patients with the same cardiac function class, they were randomized and equally assigned to the usual care (UC) group or to the PC intervention group. At the end of 24-week treatment, quality-of-life (QoL) measurements were evaluated. Left ventricular ejection fraction and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide were measured for each group at baseline and the final follow-up, respectively. Results: Through the 6-month follow-up, patients randomized to the PC intervention group presented significantly better QoL and cardiac function as compared with patients randomized to the UC group alone. Subgroup analysis showed that for patients with NYHA class II or III, significantly improved cardiac function and QoL were observed in the PC intervention group as compared with the control group. As for patients with class I, no significant difference was found between the 2 groups. Conclusions: Palliative program can effectively improve the QoL and cardiac function of patients with chronic HF. Moreover, we provided evidence on timely referral of patients to PC intervention, which could be beneficial for patients with NYHA class II.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the cognition and medication use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among men who have sex with men (MSM) in China and its associated factors. Method: From August 25 to September 5, 2021, 2 447 MSM were recruited in 24 cities to complete the online questionnaire through a male social interaction platform, Blued 7.5 software. The survey contents included demographic information of the respondents, PrEP awareness and usage, and risk behaviors. Descriptive analysis and multi-level logistic regression were performed for data analysis. SPSS 24.0 and SAS 9.4 software were used for statistical analysis. Results: Among the 2 447 respondents of MSM, 1 712 (69.96%) had heard of PrEP, 437 (17.86%) ever used PrEP, 274 (11.20%) were on PrEP, and 163 (6.66%) had discontinued PrEP; among the 437 cases (whoever used PrEP), more than 61.88% (388/627) adopted emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate regimen, and most of them adopted on-demand regimen. The average PrEP dosage reported in the past year is 1.12 tabletsper person per week. PrEP purchase was primarily via an online channel, and the most concerned factor was the PrEP effectiveness on HIV prevention. The most common reasons for discontinuing PrEP, reported by 163 cases, were the lack of HIV risk perception, the use of a condom to prevent HIV, and the economic burden of PrEP use. The logistic regression analysis showed that PrEP use among MSM in 24 cities was statistically associated with age, monthly income, ever having unprotected anal sex in the past year, used sexual drugs and sexually transmitted disease (STD) diagnosis in the past year. Compared with MSM aged 18-24, the proportion of MSM was relatively lower among those aged 25-44, who discontinued the PrEP (aOR=0.54,95%CI:0.34-0.87) or never used PrEP (aOR=0.62,95%CI:0.44-0.87). The proportion of unprotected anal sex among MSM currently on PrEP use was higher than those who have stopped PrEP and never used PrEP (all P<0.05). Those MSM group, with monthly income higher than 5 000 Yuan, used sexual drugs and STD diagnosis in the past year were more likely to have a higher rate for PrEP usage (all P<0.05). Conclusions: Currently, pre-exposure prophylaxis in the MSM group is primarily obtained via the online channel and adopted in an on-demand mode. Although the PrEP users have reached a certain proportion, it is still necessary to strengthen health education on the PrEP effects and side effects of MSM and to improve the awareness and use rate, especially for young MSM group, which can be combined with the advantages of the internet targeting its needs and use barriers.

Abstract
Alternative splicing exists in most multi-exonic genes, and exploring these complex alternative splicing events and their resultant isoform expressions is essential. However, it has become conventional that RNA sequencing results have often been summarized into gene-level expression counts mainly due to the multiple ambiguous mapping of reads at highly similar regions. Transcript-level quantification and interpretation are often overlooked, and biological interpretations are often deduced based on combined transcript information at the gene level. Here, for the most variable tissue of alternative splicing, the brain, we estimate isoform expressions in 1,191 samples collected by the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) Consortium using a powerful method that we previously developed. We perform genome-wide association scans on the isoform ratios per gene and identify isoform-ratio quantitative trait loci (irQTL), which could not be detected by studying gene-level expressions alone. By analyzing the genetic architecture of the irQTL, we show that isoform ratios regulate educational attainment via multiple tissues including the frontal cortex (BA9), cortex, cervical spinal cord, and hippocampus. These tissues are also associated with different neuro-related traits, including Alzheimer's or dementia, mood swings, sleep duration, alcohol intake, intelligence, anxiety or depression, etc. Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis revealed 1,139 pairs of isoforms and neuro-related traits with plausible causal relationships, showing much stronger causal effects than on general diseases measured in the UK Biobank (UKB). Our results highlight essential transcript-level biomarkers in the human brain for neuro-related complex traits and diseases, which could be missed by merely investigating overall gene expressions. Abstract
Objective Traumatic brain injury (TBI) leads to death and disability. This study developed an effective prognostic nomogram for assessing the risk factors for TBI mortality. Method Data were extracted from an online database called "Multiparameter Intelligent Monitoring in Intensive Care IV" (MIMIC IV). The ICD code obtained data from 2,551 TBI persons (first ICU stay, >18 years old) from this database. R divided samples into 7:3 training and testing cohorts. The univariate analysis determined whether the two cohorts differed statistically in baseline data. This research used forward stepwise logistic regression after independent prognostic factors for these TBI patients. The optimal variables were selected for the model by the optimal subset method. The optimal feature subsets in pattern recognition improved the model prediction, and the minimum BIC forest of the high-dimensional mixed graph model achieved a better prediction effect. A nomogram-labeled TBI-IHM model containing these risk factors was made by nomology in State software. Least Squares OLS was used to build linear models, and then the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted. The TBI-IHM nomogram model's validity was determined by receiver operating characteristic curves (AUCs), correction curve, Hosmer-Lemeshow test, integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), net reclassification improvement (NRI), and decision-curve analysis (DCA). Result The eight features with a minimal BIC model were mannitol use, mechanical ventilation, vasopressor use, international normalized ratio, urea nitrogen, respiratory rate, and cerebrovascular disease. The proposed nomogram (TBI-IHM model) was the best mortality prediction model, with better discrimination and superior model fitting for severely ill TBI patients staying in ICU. The model's receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was the best compared to the seven other models. It might be clinically helpful for doctors to make clinical decisions. Conclusion The proposed nomogram (TBI-IHM model) has significant potential as a clinical utility in predicting mortality in TBI patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the regulatory role of the long non-coding RNA LINC00926 in pyroptosis of hypoxia-induced human umbilical vein vascular endothelial cells (HUVECs) and explore the molecular mechanism. METHODS HUVECs were transfected with a LINC00926-overexpressing plasmid (OE-LINC00926), a siRNA targeting ELAVL1, or both, followed by exposure to hypoxia (5% O2) or normoxia. The expression of LINC00926 and ELAVL1 in hypoxia-treated HUVECs was detected using real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and Western blotting. Cell proliferation was detected using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), and the levels of IL-1β in the cell cultures was determined with ELISA. The protein expression levels of pyroptosis-related proteins (caspase-1, cleaved caspase-1 and NLRP3) in the treated cells were analyzed using Western blotting, and the binding between LINC00926 and ELAVL1 was verified with RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay. RESULTS Exposure to hypoxia obviously up-regulated the mRNA expression of LINC00926 and the protein expression of ELAVL1 in HUVECs, but did not affect the mRNA expression of ELAVL1. LINC00926 overexpression in the cells significantly inhibited cell proliferation, increased IL-1β level and enhanced the expressions of pyroptosis-related proteins (all P < 0.05). LINC00926 overexpression further up-regulated the protein expression of ELAVL1 in hypoxia-exposed HUVECs. The results of RIP assay confirmed the binding between LINC00926 and ELAVL1. ELAVL1 knockdown significantly decreased IL-1β level and the expressions of pyroptosis-related proteins in hypoxia-exposed HUVECs (P < 0.05), while LINC00926 overexpression partially reversed the effects of ELAVL1 knockdown. CONCLUSION LINC00926 promotes pyroptosis of hypoxia-induced HUVECs by recruiting ELAVL1.

Abstract
Despite great progress in perovskite photovoltaics, it should be noted that the intrinsic disorder dipolar cations in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites exert negative effects on the energy band structure as well as the carrier separation and transfer dynamics. However, oriented polarization achieved by applying an external electric field may cause irreversible damage to perovskites. Herein, a unique and efficient strategy is developed to modulate the intrinsic dipole arrangement in perovskite films for high-performance and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The spontaneous reorientation of dipolar cation methylamine is triggered by a polar molecule, constructing a vertical polarization during crystallization regulation. The oriented dipole determines a gradient energy-level arrangement in PSCs and more favorable energetics at interfaces, effectively enhancing the built-in electric field and suppressing the nonradiative recombination. Besides, the dipole reorientation induces a local dielectric environment to remarkably reduce exciton binding energy, leading to an ultralong carrier diffusion length of up to 1708 nm. Accordingly, the n-i-p PSCs achieve a significant increase in power conversion efficiency, reaching 24.63% with negligible hysteresis and exhibiting outstanding stabilities. This strategy also provides a facile route to eliminate the mismatched energetics and enhance carrier dynamics for other novel photovoltaic devices.

Abstract
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a form of posttranscriptional modification that plays important roles in cancer including oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Most studies to date have focused on a limited number of regulators and oncogenic pathways, thus failing to provide comprehensive insight into the dynamic effects of m6A modification. In addition, the role of m6A modification in shaping immune cell infiltration in OSCC has yet to be clarified. This study was designed to assess m6A modification dynamics in OSCC and to understand how such modifications influence clinical immunotherapeutic treatment outcomes. m6A modification patterns linked with 23 m6A regulators were analyzed in 437 OSCC patients from TCGA and GEO cohorts. These patterns were then quantified through m6A score based on algorithms derived from a principal component analysis (PCA) approach. The m6A modification patterns of OSCC samples were grouped into two clusters based on the m6A regulators expression, and immune cell infiltration was linked with the 5-year survival outcomes of patients in these clusters. 1575 genes associated with OSCC patient prognosis were identified and used to re-cluster these samples into two groups. Patients in clusters exhibiting higher levels of m6A regulator expression exhibited poorer overall survival (OS), whereas patients with high m6A scores survived for longer (p < 0.001). The overall mortality rates in the groups of patients with low and high m6A scores were 55% and 40%, respectively, and the m6A score distributions in clusters of patients grouped by m6A modification patterns and gene expression further supported the link between a high m6A score and better prognostic outcomes. Immunophenoscore (IPS) values for patients in different m6A score groups suggested that the use of PD-1-specific antibodies or CTLA-4 inhibitors alone or in combination would yield superior treatment outcomes in patients in the high-m6A score group relative to the low-m6A score group. m6A modification patterns are relevant to heterogeneity in OSCC. Detailed analyses of m6A modification patterns may thus offer novel insight regarding immune cell infiltration within the OSCC tumor microenvironment, guiding novel efforts to provide patients with more effective immunotherapeutic interventions.

Abstract
A prerequisite for prebiotic chemistry is the accumulation of critical building blocks of life. Some studies argue that more frequent impact events on the primitive Earth could have induced a more reducing steam atmosphere and thus favor widespread and more efficient synthesis of life building blocks. However, elevated temperature is also proposed to threaten the stability of organics and whether life building blocks could accumulate to appreciable levels in the reducing yet hot surface seawater beneath the steam atmosphere is still poorly examined. Here, we used a thermodynamic tool to examine the synthesis affinity of various life building blocks using inorganic gasses as reactants at elevated temperatures and corresponding steam pressures relevant with the steam-seawater interface. Our calculations show that although the synthesis affinity of all life building blocks decreases when temperature increases, many organics, including methane, methanol, and carboxylic acids, have positive synthesis affinity over a wide range of temperatures, implying that these species were favorable to form (>10-6 molal) in the surface seawater. However, cyanide and formaldehyde have overall negative affinities, suggesting that these critical compounds would tend to undergo hydrolysis in the surface seawaters. Most of the 18 investigated amino acids have positive affinities at temperature <220°C and their synthesis affinity increases under more alkaline conditions. Sugars, ribose, and nucleobases have overall negative synthesis affinities at the investigated range of temperatures. Synthesis affinities are shown to be sensitive to the hydrogen fugacity. Higher hydrogen fugacity (in equilibrium with FQI or IW) favors the synthesis and accumulation of nearly all the investigated compounds, except for HCN and its derivate products. In summary, our results suggest that reducing conditions induced by primitive impacts could indeed favor the synthesis/accumulation of some life building blocks, but some critical species, particularly HCN and nucleosides, were still unfavorable to accumulate to appreciable levels. Our results can provide helpful guidance for future efforts to search for or understand the stability of biomolecules on other planets like Mars and icy moons. We advocate examining craters formed by more reducing impactors to look for the preservation of prebiotic materials.

Abstract
Understanding the genetic basis of neuro-related proteins is essential for dissecting the molecular basis of human behavioral traits and the disease etiology of neuropsychiatric disorders. Here, the SCALLOP Consortium conducted a genome-wide association meta-analysis of over 12,500 individuals for 184 neuro-related proteins in human plasma. The analysis identified 117 cis-regulatory protein quantitative trait loci (cis-pQTL) and 166 trans-pQTL. The mapped pQTL capture on average 50% of each protein's heritability. Mendelian randomization analyses revealed multiple proteins showing potential causal effects on neuro-related traits such as sleeping, smoking, feelings, alcohol intake, mental health, and psychiatric disorders. Integrating with established drug information, we validated 13 out of 13 matched combinations of protein targets and diseases or side effects with available drugs, while suggesting hundreds of re-purposing and new therapeutic targets. This consortium effort provides a large-scale proteogenomic resource for biomedical research on human behaviors and other neuro-related phenotypes.

Abstract
Previous studies reported that the codeletion of PTEN and SOCS3 can greatly enhance the capacity of axon regeneration after central nervous system (CNS) injury. Moreover, the promotion of functional recovery can be improved by rehabilitative training under a use-dependent plasticity mechanism after CNS injury. However, few studies have reported the interaction between these mechanisms after spinal cord injury (SCI). Therefore, we investigated the combined effects of PTEN/SOCS3 coinhibition and rehabilitative training on axon regeneration and upper extremity motor functional improvement after cervical SCI in mice. In this study, we used RNA interference viruses to coinhibit PTEN and SOCS3 and induced a C5 crush injury on the side of preference. The injured upper extremity was trained by single pellet grasping for 4 weeks. We found that the coinjection of viruses significantly increased the expression of p-S6 and p-STAT in the cortex, reduced the dieback pattern of injured axons and promoted traced axon regeneration. More importantly, combination therapy further enhanced axon regeneration compared with PTEN/SOCS3 coinhibition alone. In behavioral tests, the motor performance of the mice in the PTEN/SOCS3 + Training group was better than that of the mice in the other groups. These results indicate that combining task-based rehabilitative training with PTEN/SOCS3 coinhibition further promotes axon regeneration and significant improvement in forelimb skilled motor function after cervical SCI. Our findings provide new therapeutic insights into SCI treatment.

Abstract
Abstract
The Zhurong rover of the Tianwen-1 mission landed in southern Utopia Planitia, providing a unique window into the evolutionary history of the Martian lowlands. During its first 110 sols, Zhurong investigated and categorized surface targets into igneous rocks, lithified duricrusts, cemented duricrusts, soils and sands. The lithified duricrusts, analyzed by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) onboard Zhurong, show elevated water contents and distinct compositions from those of igneous rocks. The cemented duricrusts are likely formed via water vapor-frost cycling at the atmosphere–soil interface, as supported by the local meteorological conditions. Soils and sands contain elevated magnesium and water, attributed to both hydrated magnesium salts and adsorbed water. The compositional and meteorological evidence indicates potential Amazonian brine activities and present-day water vapor cycling at the soil–atmosphere interface. Searching for further clues to water-related activities and determining the water source by Zhurong are critical to constrain the volatile evolution history at the landing site.

Abstract
As rising star materials, single-atom and dual-atom catalysts have been widely reported in the electro-catalysis area. To answer the key question: single-atom and dual-atom catalysts, which is better for electrocatalytic urea synthesis? we design two types of catalysts via a vacancy-anchorage strategy: single-atom Pd1 -TiO2 and dual-atom Pd1 Cu1 -TiO2 nanosheets. An ultrahigh urea activity of 166.67 molurea molPd -1 h1 with the corresponding 22.54 % Faradaic efficiency at -0.5 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) is achieved over Pd1 Cu1 -TiO2 , which is much higher than that of Pd1 -TiO2 . Various characterization including an in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and theoretical calculations demonstrate that dual-atom Pd1 Cu1 site in Pd1 Cu1 -TiO2 is more favorable for producing urea, which experiences a C-N coupling pathway with a lower energy barrier compared with Pd1 in Pd1 -TiO2 .

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the publications and citations of Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control from 2011 to 2020, so as to provide insights into improving the journal quality and impact. METHODS All publications were retrieved from 60 issues of 10 volumes of Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control from 2011 to 2020, and publication and citation analyses were performed using a bibliometric method. RESULTS A total of 1 867 articles were published in Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control from 2011 to 2020, with the largest number in 2012 (220 publications) and the lowest in 2020 (135 publications), and original article (36.48%), control experience (17.14%) and control study (10.34%) were the three most common article type. The overall proportion of grant-supported articles was 59.08% (1 103/1 867), and the number of grant per article was (2.34±1.58) grants. The mean duration from submission to publication was (173.48±105.84) days per article, and there was a significant difference in the mean duration from submission to publication among years (F = 30.883, P < 0.01). Jiangsu Province (492 publications, 26.35%), Shanghai Municipality (264 publications, 14.14%) and Hubei Province (230 publications, 12.32%) were the three most productive provinces where the first author lived, and disease control and prevention institutions were the predominant affiliations of the first author (67.22%), with Jiangsu Institute of Schistosomiasis Control, National Institute of Parasitic Diseases, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Wannan Medical College as the three most productive affiliations. The number of authors was 5.94 authors per publication, and the proportion of co-authored publications was 95.45% in Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control from 2011 to 2020. Journal article was the predominant type of cited (89.97%), and the mean number of citations was (15.70±11.56) citations per publication, with a significant difference in the mean number of citations per publication among years (F = 2.205, P < 0.05). The impact factors of Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control ranged from 0.877 to 1.676 during the period from 2011 to 2020, and the overall Price index was 47.59%. CONCLUSIONS Both the academic impact and national transmissibility of Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control appeared a tendency towards a rise from 2011 to 2020. Seeking high-quality contributions, increasing interdisciplinary integration, shortening the duration from submission to publication, expanding the coverage of publication services and enhancing impact are the future priorities of the journal.

Abstract
Interstitial lung diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are caused by persistent micro-injuries to alveolar epithelial tissues accompanied by aberrant repair processes. IPF is currently treated with pirfenidone and nintedanib, compounds which slow the rate of disease progression but fail to target underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. The DNA repair protein 8-oxoguanine DNA glycosylase-1 (OGG1) has significant roles in the modulation of inflammation and metabolic syndromes. Currently, no pharmaceutical solutions targeting OGG1 have been utilized in the treatment of IPF. In this study we show Ogg1-targeting siRNA mitigates bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in male mice, highlighting OGG1 as a tractable target in lung fibrosis. The small molecule OGG1 inhibitor, TH5487, decreases myofibroblast transition and associated pro-fibrotic gene expressions in fibroblast cells. In addition, TH5487 decreases levels of pro-inflammatory mediators, inflammatory cell infiltration, and lung remodeling in a murine model of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis conducted in male C57BL6/J mice. OGG1 and SMAD7 interact to induce fibroblast proliferation and differentiation and display roles in fibrotic murine and IPF patient lung tissue. Taken together, these data suggest that TH5487 is a potentially clinically relevant treatment for IPF but further study in human trials is required.
