Abstract
OBJECTIVES to carry out the cultural adaptation and evaluation of validity evidence of the Student Nurse Stressor-15 (SNS-15) Scale for use in Brazil. METHODS psychometric study, conducted from the stages of translation, synthesis, back-translation, review by a committee of seven experts, pre-test and evaluation of measurement properties with 32 and 238 nursing students, respectively. Descriptive statistics, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were performed. The reliability of the instrument was estimated using McDonald's Omega (ω). RESULTS EFA subsidized the distribution of the fifteen SNS-15 items into four factors. Using AFC, satisfactory fit indices were achieved (Comparative Fit Index = 0.94; Tucker-Lewis Index = 0.93; Root Mean Square Error of Approximation = 0.06; Standardized Root Mean Square Residual = 0.16) and ω = 0.86. CONCLUSIONS the Brazilian version of the SNS-15 presents evidence that confirms its validity and reliability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to map scientific knowledge on nursing students' attitudes and perceptions regarding ageism. METHOD scoping review according to the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute. The study question was: What are scientific evidence available on the attitudes and perceptions of nursing students regarding ageism? The search was conducted in 12 databases using the Rayyan application and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. The studies were selected by two reviewers using a data extraction tool. RESULTS of the 4,595 files, 46 that were published between 1984 and 2022 were selected, and the quantitative method was the most used. The most commonly used instrument was the Kogan's Attitudes Toward Old People Scale. Positive, negative, mixed, neutral, and inconclusive attitudes and perceptions were identified. CONCLUSION attitudes and perceptions about ageism are diverse and not conclusive. Future intervention studies are recommended to detect changes in the behavior of nursing students in the face of ageism. Abstract
OBJECTIVE to analyze the problematization methodology impact on the knowledge of nursing and medical students about hypodermoclysis. METHOD quasi-experimental study conducted with 22 undergraduate nursing and medical students from a public Brazilian higher education institution. The students participated in the educational intervention using the problematization methodology based on the Arch of Maguerez. A previously validated questionnaire was used to determin' the students' knowledge level about hypodermoclysis. This instrument was applied before and after the educational intervention. The results were compared by McNemar's test and Student's t test for paired samples. RESULTS when comparing the correct answers before and after the intervention, there was a significant increase in 75% of the questions (p<0.05), including theoretical and practical aspects of hypodermoclysis. The mean score on students' self-assessment of the ability to explain (0.9 versus 5.9 points) and perform hypodermoclysis (1.9 versus 5.0) was significantly higher after applying the problematization methodology (p<0.001). CONCLUSION the problematization methodology had a positive impact on the students' knowledge about hypodermoclysis. The number of correct answers after the educational intervention was higher than the initial assessment. The problematization methodology can be incorporated into the teaching-learning process of nursing and medical students for teaching procedures such as hypodermoclysis. Abstract
OBJECTIVE to verify the relationship between symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and smartphone addiction in COVID-19 nursing students. METHOD this was a descriptive-analytical study of 206 nursing students. A sociodemographic characterization and smartphone use instrument adapted from the literature and the following scales Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale and Smartphone Addiction Inventory were used for data collection. Sociodemographic data and smartphone use were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the relationship between symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and smartphone addiction was analyzed using multiple logistic regression. RESULTS the prevalence of smartphone addiction among nursing students was 129 (62.6%) and there was a relationship between symptoms of moderate depression (p=0.049), severe/very severe depression (p=0.005) and mild anxiety (p=0.028) and severe/very severe anxiety (p=0.019) and smartphone addiction. CONCLUSION the data show that the construction and implementation of smartphone use policies in the academic and hospital context to prevent smartphone addiction and control associated risk factors is necessary. BACKGROUND (1) High prevalence of smartphone addiction among nursing students. (2) There was a relationship between symptoms of depression, anxiety and smartphone addiction. (3) Nursing has a leading role in identifying and managing addictions. (4) A multidisciplinary approach to the prevention and management of smartphone addiction. Abstract
OBJECTIVES to analyzing the Effectiveness of Using Interactive Multimodality Books in Pediatric Nursing on Student Learning Outcomes in Implementing the Merdeka Belajar Program. METHODS the research design used a quasi-experimental approach with a posttest control group design. The sample in this study was the fourth-semester nursing students of Institute of Health Science Suaka Insan Banjarmasin who received the Pediatric Nursing course, a total of 52 students. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data analysis used the dependent t-test. RESULTS the interactive multimodality pediatric nursing book was effective in improving the learning achievement of fourth-semester students with a significance value of 0.015 < 0.05. There is a difference in the average value of pediatric nursing courses for class A and class B, which is 3.173. CONCLUSIONS the use of interactive multimodality books is very good for lecturers to apply in teaching to help students understand the material they are learning.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To build and validate a clinical simulation scenario for teaching Nursing students about early recognition of signs and symptoms of sepsis in the context of the emergency unit. METHODS Methodological study developed in two phases: construction of a simulated scenario and content validation by expert judges. For data analysis, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was calculated considering agreement equal to or greater than 80%. The minimum acceptable CVI value for scenario validation was 1.0. RESULTS The simulation scenario proved to be appropriate, with a global Content Validity Index equal to 1. Some adjustments related to the clarity of the wording were necessary, as suggested by the judges. Conclusions: A medium-complexity, high-fidelity scenario was successfully constructed and validated for teaching early recognition of sepsis signs and symptoms.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To identify the supervisory strategies that Nursing students consider facilitators of the development of critical thinking skills in clinical teaching. METHODS This is a qualitative study, within the interpretative paradigm, using the focus group methodology. Eight undergraduate nursing students participated in the study. RESULTS Participants recognized the indispensability of critical thinking for professional responsibility and quality of care and highlighted the importance of using supervisory strategies adapted to their needs, learning objectives, and the context of clinical practice. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS This study highlights the urgent need to establish, within the Nursing curricula, clinical supervision strategies that promote critical thinking and favor the development of skills for good clinical judgment, problem solving, and safe, effective, and ethical decision-making.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To determine the level of self-compassion and investigate the relationships between sociodemographic variables and self-compassion among undergraduate nursing students at a state university in Indonesia during the COVID-19 Pandemic. METHODS This study used a cross-sectional design. Samples were selected using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique (n=260). Data were collected using an Indonesian version of the Self-compassion Scale, which consists of 6 subscales: self-kindness, self-judgment, common humanity, isolation, mindfulness, and overidentification. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. RESULTS 60% of students had moderate self-compassion. Students scored the highest in self-kindness (3,93±1,02) and over-identification (3,58±0,94), indicating that they often tried to love themselves when they felt emotional pain and often get carried away when something upsetting happened. Subsequently, a significant correlation was found between age and self-compassion (p<0.05). CONCLUSION Self-compassion among nursing students should be improved through interventions such as compassion literacy, mindfulness training, and compassion-based experiential techniques.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES to analyze the learning strategies used by nursing students from a public university, in remote teaching, during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS a cross-sectional study developed with nursing students who attended remote teaching classes. The sample was obtained by convenience and data were collected online, with 112 participants. Student and Mann-Whitney tests were performed for data analysis. RESULTS the most frequently used learning strategies were self-regulatory and cognitive. There was moderate use of interpersonal help-seeking and emotional control strategies. Male students, with a private study environment and good internet connection, used emotional control strategies more frequently. CONCLUSIONS self-regulatory and cognitive learning strategies, appropriate for higher education, were frequently used by nursing students, which is an important tool for adapting these students to the university context.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES to understand the nursing students' professional values in different Brazilian universities and verify a correlation between the "Professional Value" and the sociodemographic variables. METHODS quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive study conducted through an electronic questionnaire with a Professional Values Scale (NPVS-3). Participants were Nursing students of all semesters from three universities - two in the Southeast region and one in the North region. RESULTS of the 337 participating Nursing students, 282 were female. The Caring dimension presented the highest score (mean=46.61), and Professionalism, the lowest score (mean=34.65). A statistically significant association was detected between the Caring dimension, "university where is attending," and "gender." CONCLUSIONS the results indicate the Caring dimension as the one containing the most scored professional values since the nurses' training, and the relation of those values in such dimension is more significant in the female sample.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms, as well as their association with screen time, diet and physical activity, in a cohort comprised by nursing students. METHOD a descriptive and cross-sectional study conducted with a sample of 648 Nursing students. The instruments used were the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire and the Spanish Healthy Eating Index (Índice de Alimentación Saludable Español, IASE). Different multiple linear regression models were performed to analyze the association between anxiety/depression symptoms and screen time, diet and physical activity. RESULTS the prevalence values for anxiety and depression symptoms were 24.1% and 3.7%, respectively. Prolonged screen times (>6 hours a day), low levels of physical activity and inadequate diet were independently and significantly associated with deeper psychological symptoms. CONCLUSION Nursing students' mental health might benefit from the implementation of initiatives promoting healthy lifestyles.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to analyze which technological variables, derived from the use of electronic devices, predict academic stress and its dimensions in Nursing students. METHOD analytical cross-sectional study carried out with a total of 796 students from six universities in Peru. The SISCO scale was used and four logistic regression models were estimated for the analysis, with selection of variables in stages. RESULTS among the participants, 87.6% had a high level of academic stress; time using the electronic device, screen brightness, age and sex were associated with academic stress and its three dimensions; the position of using the electronic device was associated with the total scale and the stressors and reactions dimensions. Finally, the distance between the face and the electronic device was associated with the total scale and size of reactions. CONCLUSION technological variables and sociodemographic characteristics predict academic stress in nursing students. It is suggested to optimize the time of use of computers, regulate the brightness of the screen, avoid sitting in inappropriate positions and pay attention to the distance, in order to reduce academic stress during distance learning.

METHODS a methodological study, carried out between April 2020 and January 2021, with 218 nursing and medicine students. Structural and discriminant construct validity were assessed by confirmatory factor analysis and cross factor loadings. Reliability was verified by McDonald's omega, average variance extracted, composite reliability, and item-total correlation. RESULTS the final model reproduced the original structure of 21 items, distributed in five dimensions, requiring the exclusion of one item. Acceptable fit indexes were obtained (x2/gl=2.325; CFI=0.99; TLI=0.98; RMSEA=0.054). Discriminant validity was confirmed. Reliability indicators were adequate, except McDonald's omega, in one factor (0.68), and average variance extracted, in two factors (0.41; 0.47). CONCLUSIONS the instrument demonstrated evidence of internal validity and satisfactory reliability among nursing and medical students.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate a proposal for teaching entrepreneurship in an undergraduate Nursing course that uses active methodologies and activities based on the theory of meaningful learning. METHODS Interventional, prospective study, with a quantitative perspective, with a total of 102 participating students, carried out from July 2017 to December 2019 at a public university in the state of Sao Paulo. Statistical analysis were performed by non-parametric Chi-square or Fisher's exact tests, with differences considered statistically significant if p < 0.05. RESULTS Improvements were observed in almost all items evaluated, revealing that meaningful learning became more effective with the use of active teaching methodologies. Most students need adaptation and effort to be put into these methods. CONCLUSIONS The proposal offers pedagogical content adaptation, specifically for nursing students. New research should expand teaching-learning techniques for the development of future nurses, preparing them adequately for the job market.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to evaluate the facilitators, barriers and perceptions of Nursing students in learning about home visiting and child care through Telesimulation during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHOD a qualitative study to evaluate Telesimulation via computers, grounded on Kolb's theoretical model. A semi-structured questionnaire and the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale were applied, with descriptive analysis and qualitative thematic analysis on the perceptions of 41 Nursing students. RESULTS the contextualized Telesimulation provided learning opportunities in dimensions of the pedagogical strategy, telesimulated scenario, communication and specificities of child care in home visits. It was considered a safe and dynamic activity that helped knowledge consolidation and reflective attitudes, proximity to reality, and develop interaction, observation and types of approaches. There were restrictions due to Internet connection failures. A large percentage of the students indicated good satisfaction and self-confidence level with learning in the scale applied. CONCLUSION the real clinical situation with remote immersion allowed observation, decision-making, reflection and elaboration of conclusions, inherent to the experiential learning cycle. The set of elements of this Telesimulation created an environment that stimulated the interest of Nursing students for other learning stages, suggesting a space that strengthens knowledge and maintains dialogue with face-to-face practices.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To map the factors involved in incidents that harm patient safety and contribute to the second victim phenomenon among nursing students. METHOD Qualitative, exploratory-descriptive study addressing 23 nursing students attending a Federal University in the South of Brazil. The interviews were analyzed using text and discoursive analysis. The Iramuteq software supported the processing of texts. RESULTS Communication failures within the health staff, a lack of protocols and equipment that prioritize patient safety, and factors related to the teaching-learning process favor the occurrence of patient safety incidents and the second victim phenomenon among nursing students. CONCLUSION Addressing the topic concerning patient safety in nursing programs can promote the patient safety culture by encouraging reporting and admitting the possibility of errors and learning from them, strategies that can mitigate second victim effects.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to evaluate the impact of the (edworkcases) educational intervention on students' evaluation outcomes in their clinical practices, their attitudes towards Nursing diagnoses, and their satisfaction. METHOD this study used a cross-sectional observational design. The participants were 69 third-year Nursing students from a public university in Madrid, Spain. The data analysed in the study were the grades obtained by students for their clinical practices, as well as pre-post intervention scores on the Positions on Nursing Diagnosis Scale and a satisfaction survey. A means comparison by participation in the project (yes/no) was carried out using Student's t-test. A means comparison by professor was conducted using Kruskal-Wallis tests. RESULTS participation rate: 72.4%; 92% of the participants were women; median age = 21 years old. Statistically significant differences were found between participants and non-participants in terms of mean score in the Overall Evaluation and in the Case Study Evaluation, with higher scores found among the group of participants. The mean score for attitudes towards Nursing diagnoses was 99.9 (SD=2.8) before the intervention and 111.1 (SD=2.9) after the intervention [95% CI: 3.3-19.2]. CONCLUSION the use of (edworkcases) as part of the practical training was considered satisfactory, enabling theory and practice to be combined and improving students' attitudes towards Nursing diagnoses.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE identify the stress level among nursing undergraduates and the associated sociodemographic and academic factors; to compare stress level among college students according to the training phase in the course. METHOD cross-sectional study with 286 university students. The instrument of sociodemographic and academic characterization and the stress scale were applied. The overall stress level was assessed by standardized score. In the bivariate analysis, Pearson's chi-square or Fisher's exact test was used, and multiple logistic regression analysis was performed using the Poisson model. Statistical significance of 5% was adopted. RESULTS higher proportion of college students presented medium/high level of global stress. Students from 6th to 10th semesters presented higher levels of stress compared to those from 1st to 5th, in the Realization of practical activities, Professional Communication (p = 0.014), Environment (p = 0.053) and Vocational Training (p = 0.000) domains). In the multivariate analysis, they contributed to the highest level of stress the variables attending the 6th to 10th semesters, female gender, monthly income ≤ one minimum wage and income considered insufficient. CONCLUSION women in a more advanced stage of education and with low economic condition present a higher level of stress in their academic education.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE analyze associations between demographic, academic, health, stress, overweight and obesity characteristics among nursing students. METHOD this is a cross-sectional study with 95 students from a private university in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A demographic, academic and health characterization questionnaire and the Assessment of Stress in Nursing Students (ASNS) scale were applied. Anthropometric measures were taken and descriptive and bivariate analyses were performed. RESULTS female students predominated in this study, mean age: 25.6±5.87 years. Weight gain was observed in 52.6% of the students, with the 'Professional training' session reporting high (29.5%) and very high (36.8%) levels of stress. None of the stress scale sessions was associated with overweight and obesity. CONCLUSION overweight and obesity were associated with male participants, high blood pressure, weight gain since the beginning of the course, altered waist circumference, no physical activity, eating more in stressful situations, and consumption of unhealthy foods.

Abstract
Objective. This study was conducted to examine effectiveness of interactive lecture in teaching nursing students compared to traditional lecture. Methods. This study is a quasi-experimental design in which 29 students participated in eighteen sessions of intensive nursing care in Yasuj University of Medical Sciences, Iran. These sessions were randomly allocated for the interactive lecture and the traditional lecture. The interactive lecture consists in this steps: explaining the learning objectives, taking the pre-test, teaching the subjects of each session, Group discussion with introduction of the clinical cases, answering students’ questions and mutual feedbacks, taking the post-test, and introducing students’ future activities. The effectiveness of applied teaching method was evaluated through pre-test, post-test of each session, mid-term and final exams. Results. Significant statistical differences were observed in terms of students' mean score (p=0.001) and their satisfaction (p=0.001) in the interactive teaching method compared to traditional lectures. Further preparation, active participation and received immediate feedback were some benefits reported for the interactive teaching method. Conclusion. The interactive lecture resulted in significant learning and furthers nursing students’ active participation in the teaching-learning process.
