Abstract
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study is to examine and evaluate the existing clinical practice guidelines and consensus statements regarding tracheostomy care for non-mechanically ventilated patients. METHODS A systematic search of databases, and professional organisations was conducted from inception to 19 March 2023. Two appraisers evaluated each guideline using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation II (AGREE II) and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Checklist for Text and Opinion Papers. RESULTS No specific clinical guidelines exist on airway management in non-mechanically ventilated patients. Of 6318 articles identified, we included 12 clinical practice guidelines, and 9 consensus statements, which were from China, the US, the UK, South Korea, Australia, France and Belgium. The AGREE II scores in six domains are (1) the scope and purpose, 70.30%; (2) stakeholder involvement, 37.61%; (3) rigor of development, 33.97%; (4) clarity of presentation, 68.16%; (5) applicability, 44.23% and (6) editorial independence, 40.06%. The overall quality of evidence was level B. The summarised recommendations for clinical practice encompass the following six areas: airway humidification, management of the trach cuff, management of inner cannula, tracheostoma care, tracheostomy suctioning and management and prevention of common post-operative complications. CONCLUSIONS The overall quality of the clinical guidelines on non-ventilated tracheostomy care was moderate, and further improvements are needed in domains of stakeholder involvement, applicability, clarity of presentation and editorial independence. Recommendations on non-ventilated tracheostomy care are often embedded in the guidelines on ventilated tracheostomy. Specific clinical guidelines are needed to provide a standardised approach to tracheostomy care for non-ventilated patients. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Patients with non-ventilated tracheostomy need specialised airway management. Improving patient outcomes requires standardised protocols, patient involvement, quality evaluation, and interdisciplinary approaches. NO PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION The study reviewed clinical practice guidelines and consensus statements, therefore patient or public input was not needed.

Abstract
In this study, grass carp (33.28 ± 0.05 g) were fed three diets for 8 weeks: control (crude protein [CP] 30%, crude lipid [CL] 6%), low protein (LP; CP16%, CL6%), and low protein with high-fat (LPHF; CP16%, CL10%). The final body weight decreased in the LP and LPHF groups compared to the Control (P < 0.05). Liver triglycerides, total cholesterol, and nonesterified fatty acids were higher in the LP group than the Control, whereas these indexes in the LPHF group were higher than those in the LP group (P < 0.05). The LP group had intestinal barrier damage, while the LPHF group had a slight recovery. TNF-α, IL-8, and IL-1β content were lower in the LP group than in the Control (P < 0.05), and even higher in the LPHF group (P < 0.05). The expressions of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related genes Activating transcription factor 6 (ATF-6) and Glucose-regulated protein (GRP78) were higher in the LPHF group against the LP group (P < 0.05). The IL-1β and TNF-α content negatively correlated with intestinal Actinomycetes and Mycobacterium abundance (P < 0.05). The muscle fiber diameter was smaller in both the LP and LPHF groups than the control (P < 0.05), with the LP group showing metabolites related to protein digestion and absorption, and LPHF group exhibiting metabolites related to taste transmission. The results demonstrate reducing dietary protein affects growth, causing liver lipid accumulation, reduced enteritis response, and increased muscle tightness, while increasing fat content accelerates fat accumulation and inflammation.

Abstract
A 55-year-old male patient presenting with 6 months of bilateral difficulty in eye opening was referred to the ophthalmology department. Upon examination, multiple yellowish tumor-like plaques and nodules were observed on the eyelids and chest of the patient, accompanied by keratitis and iridocyclitis. Histopathological examination of the skin lesions on the chest revealed dermal xanthomatous granulomas with progressive necrosis. Bone marrow biopsy showed mantle cell lymphoma. Based on the medical history, the diagnosis of progressive necrotizing xanthogranuloma with mantle cell lymphoma was confirmed. After 6 months of treatment with bendamustine combined with rituximab, there was partial alleviation of ocular symptoms in the patient.

Abstract
We conducted a retrospective, multicentre study to compare consolidation therapy with or without first-line autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) for peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) patients in a real-world setting. We enrolled 347 PTCL patients who achieved complete response after first-line treatment. Of these, 257 received consolidation chemotherapy (non-ASCT group) and 90 received ASCT (ASCT group). Clinical outcomes were comparable between ASCT and non-ASCT groups. After propensity score matching, the 2-year cumulative incidence of treatment-related mortality and relapse remained similar between groups (1.9% vs. 2.0%, p = 0.985; 24.7% vs. 47.1%, p = 0.021). However, significant differences emerged in progression-free survival and overall survival probabilities. Within the T-cell lymphoma subgroup, ASCT patients exhibited favourable outcomes compared to non-ASCT patients: 2-year progression-free survival (73.4% vs. 50.8%, p = 0.024) and overall survival (92.1% vs. 73.5%, p = 0.021). Notably, no significant differences were observed for patients with NK/T-cell lymphoma. These real-world data suggest that up-front ASCT is a safe and effective consolidation option for PTCL patients in remission, particularly those with T-cell lymphoma.

Abstract
Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is a life-threatening disease caused by a novel bunyavirus (SFTSV), mainly transmitted by ticks. With no effective therapies or vaccines available, understanding the disease's mechanisms is crucial. Recent studies found increased expression of programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) on dysfunctional T cells in SFTS patients. However, the role of the PD-1/programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) pathway in SFTS progression remains unclear. We investigated PD-1 blockade as a potential therapeutic strategy against SFTSV replication. Our study analyzed clinical samples and performed in vitro experiments, revealing elevated PD-1/PD-L1 expression in various immune cells following SFTSV infection. An anti-PD-1 nanobody, NbP45, effectively inhibited SFTSV infection in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), potentially achieved through the mitigation of apoptosis and the augmentation of T lymphocyte proliferation. Intriguingly, subcutaneous administration of NbP45 showed superior efficacy compared to a licensed anti-PD-1 antibody in an SFTSV-infected humanized mouse model. These findings highlight the involvement of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway during acute SFTSV infection and suggest its potential as a host target for immunotherapy interventions against SFTSV infection.

Abstract
This preliminary study investigated the feasibility of a combined model constructed using radiomic features based on computed tomography (CT) and clinical features to predict adverse clinical outcomes in acute pulmonary embolism (APE). Currently, there is no widely recognized predictive model. Patients with confirmed APE who underwent CT pulmonary angiography were retrospectively categorized into good and poor prognosis groups. Seventy-four patients were randomized into a training (n = 51) or validation (n = 23) cohort. Feature extraction was performed using 3D-Slicer software. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression was used to identify the optimal radiomics features and calculate the radiomics scores; subsequently, the radiomics model was developed. A combined predictive model was constructed based on radiomics scores and selected clinical features. The predictive efficacy of the three models (radiomics, clinical and combined) was assessed by plotting receiver operating characteristic curves. Furthermore, the calibration curves were graphed and the decision curve analysis was performed. Four radiomic features were screened to calculate the radiomic score. Right ventricular to left ventricular ratio (RV/LV) ≥ 1.0 and radiomics score were independent risk factors for adverse clinical outcomes. In the training and validation cohorts, the areas under the curve (AUCs) for the RV/LV ≥ 1.0 (clinical) and radiomics score prediction models were 0.778 and 0.833 and 0.907 and 0.817, respectively. The AUCs for the combined model of RV/LV ≥ 1.0 and radiomics score were 0.925 and 0.917, respectively. The combined and radiomics models had high clinical assessment efficacy for predicting adverse clinical outcomes in APE, demonstrating the clinical utility of both models. Calibration curves exhibited a strong level of consistency between the predictive and observed probabilities of poor and good prognoses in the combined model. The combined model of RV/LV ≥ 1.0 and radiomics score based on CT could accurately and non-invasively predict adverse clinical outcomes in patients with APE.

Abstract
Tumor cell-targeting molecules play a vital role in cancer diagnosis, targeted therapy, and biomarker discovery. Aptamers are emerging as novel targeting molecules with unique advantages in cancer research. In this work, we have developed several DNA aptamers through cell-based systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (Cell-SELEX). The selected SYL-6 aptamer can bind to a variety of cancer cells with high signal. Tumor tissue imaging demonstrated that SYL-6-Cy5 fluorescent probe was able to recognize multiple clinical tumor tissues but not the normal tissues, which indicates great potential of SYL-6 for clinical tumor diagnosis. Meanwhile, we identified prohibitin 2 (PHB2) as the molecular target of SYL-6 using mass spectrometry, pull-down and RNA interference assays. Moreover, SYL-6 can be used as a delivery vehicle to carry with doxorubicin (Dox) chemotherapeutic agents for antitumor targeted chemotherapy. The constructed SYL-6-Dox can not only selectively kill tumor cells in vitro, but also inhibit tumor growth with reduced side effects in vivo. This work may provide a general tumor cell-targeting molecule and a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and targeted therapy.

Abstract
Receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) plays a crucial role in cancer progression, and it has been identified as a key drug target for cancer targeted therapy. Although traditional RTK-targeting drugs are effective, there are some limitations that potentially hinder the further development of RTK-targeting drugs. Therefore, it is urgently needed to develop novel, simple, and general RTK-targeting inhibitors with a new mechanism of action for cancer targeted therapy. Here, a cell membrane-anchored RTK-targeting DNA nanoinhibitor is developed to inhibit RTK function. By using a DNA tetrahedron as a framework, RTK-specific aptamers as the recognition elements, and cholesterol as anchoring molecules, this DNA nanoinhibitor could rapidly anchor on the cell membrane and specifically bind to RTK. Compared with traditional RTK-targeting inhibitors, this DNA nanoinhibitor does not need to bind at a limited domain on RTK, which increases the possibilities of developing RTK inhibitors. With the cellular-mesenchymal to epithelial transition factor (c-Met) as a target RTK, the DNA nanoinhibitor can not only induce steric hindrance effects to inhibit c-Met activation but also reduce the c-Met level via lysosome-mediated protein degradation and thus inhibition of c-Met signaling pathways and related cell behaviors. Moreover, the DNA nanoinhibitor is feasible for other RTKs by just replacing aptamers. This work may provide a novel, simple, and general RTK-targeting nanoinhibitor and possess great value in RTK-targeted cancer therapy.

Abstract
A 33-year-old female presented to the ophthalmology clinic with right periorbital redness and pain for 12 hours. CT revealed right optic nerve thickening and enlargement. Cranial MRI demonstrated abnormalities in the corpus callosum, bilateral hippocampi, thalamus, basal ganglia, temporal-parietal lobes, and the left frontal lobe. Ocular B-scan ultrasound showed elevated optic disc and high echogenic signals in the right vitreous cavity. The patient had a history of surgical resection, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy for a left occipital glioma two years prior, with pathology indicating astrocytoma (World Health Organization Grade Ⅱ). Combining the patient's history and diagnostic findings, the confirmed diagnosis is bilateral occipital astrocytoma with invasion into the right transverse sinus, bilateral optic pathways involvement related to the left occipital astrocytoma, and seeding of astrocytoma in the right vitreous cavity.

Abstract
Pulmonary regurgitation usually leads to right heart dilatation and eventually right heart dysfunction, which is associated with a poor prognosis. Transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement is a developing treatment for pulmonary valve dysfunction that can take the place of traditional surgery and make up for the shortcomings of a large injury. Echocardiography plays a significant role in assessing ventricular function; however, conventional echocardiographic parameters have several limitations. Speckle tracking echocardiography has been regarded as a more accurate tool for quantifying cardiac function than conventional echocardiography. Therefore, the aim of this review was to summarize the application of speckle tracking echocardiography for evaluating right and left ventricular functions in patients after transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The role of genetic background underlying the disparity of relative risk of smoking and lung cancer between European populations and East Asians remains unclear. METHODS To assess the role of ethnic differences in genetic factors associated with smoking-related risk of lung cancer, we first constructed ethnic-specific polygenic risk scores (PRSs) to quantify individual genetic risk of lung cancer in Chinese and European populations. Then, we compared genetic risk and smoking as well as their interactions on lung cancer between two cohorts, including the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) and the UK Biobank (UKB). We also evaluated the absolute risk reduction over a 5-year period. RESULTS Differences in compositions and association effects were observed between the Chinese-specific PRSs and European-specific PRSs, especially for smoking-related loci. The PRSs were consistently associated with lung cancer risk, but stronger associations were observed in smokers of the UKB [hazard ratio (HR) 1.26 vs 1.15, P = 0.028]. A significant interaction between genetic risk and smoking on lung cancer was observed in the UKB (RERI, 11.39 (95% CI, 7.01-17.94)], but not in the CKB. Obvious higher absolute risk was observed in nonsmokers of the CKB, and a greater absolute risk reduction was found in the UKB (10.95 vs 7.12 per 1000 person-years, P <0.001) by comparing heavy smokers with nonsmokers, especially for those at high genetic risk. CONCLUSIONS Ethnic differences in genetic factors and the high incidence of lung cancer in nonsmokers of East Asian ethnicity were involved in the disparity of smoking-related risk of lung cancer.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to explore occupational stress, perceived respect, and the need for psychological counselling among nurses in China. STUDY DESIGN This was a nationwide cross-sectional study. METHODS Chinese nurses from 311 cities were randomly selected through a simple random sampling method. Occupational stress, perceived respect, and psychological counselling need were assessed using an online questionnaire validated by experts. The underlying associated factors were analysed using multiple logistic regression analyses. RESULTS We collected and analysed 51,406 valid online questionnaires. Family factors and low income were the most commonly cited sources of occupational stress, and 91.9% and 80.0% of nurses, respectively, perceived that individuals in society and patients did not give adequate respect. Furthermore, 75.5% and 79.7%, respectively, believed they were not respected by clinical managers and doctors. As a result, 64.7% nurses believed they had a moderate or high need for psychological counselling. However, 80.7% indicated that receiving adequate respect could decrease the need for stress-related psychological counselling. Indeed, multiple logistic regression analyses showed that lower respect perceived by nurses was associated with higher need for psychological counselling, particularly regarding criticism that nurses perceived from nursing managers (a little: odds ratio [OR], 1.597; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.176-2.170; P = 0.003; moderately: OR, 1.433; 95% CI, 1.180-1.741; P < 0.001) and the difficulty of receiving respect from patients and their families (a little: OR, 1.389; 95% CI, 1.044-1.850; P = 0.024). CONCLUSIONS Nurses in China perceive high levels of occupational stress and low levels of respect and often seek psychological counselling.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Vascular stiffening is highly predictive of major adverse cardiovascular events. It is not clear whether microangiopathy, such as fundus arteriosclerosis, is related to carotid atherosclerosis. Hence, this study was designed to investigate the relationship between carotid atherosclerosis and fundus arteriosclerosis among individuals of different sexes in the Chinese health-examination population. METHODS This retrospective cross-sectional study involved 20,836 participants, including 13050 males and 7786 females. All participants underwent a detailed health examination, including medical history assessment, physical examination, assessment of lifestyle factors, fundus photography, Doppler ultrasound examination of the neck, and laboratory examinations. Two trained ophthalmologists analysed fundus arteriosclerosis based on fundus photographs, while carotid atherosclerosis was diagnosed using colour Doppler sonography of the neck. Binary logistic regression was used to analyse the relationship between carotid atherosclerosis and fundus arteriosclerosis. RESULTS In participants with fundus arteriosclerosis, the incidence of carotid atherosclerosis was higher than that of participants without fundus arteriosclerosis (52.94% vs. 47.06%). After adjustments for potential confounding factors, fundus arteriosclerosis was significantly associated with the risk of carotid atherosclerosis. The OR with 95% CI for fundus arteriosclerosis was 1.17 (1.02, 1.34) with p = 0.0262, and individuals who did not have fundus arteriosclerosis were used as a reference in the total population. Fundus arteriosclerosis was associated with the incidence of carotid atherosclerosis in males (p = 0.0005) but not in females (p = 0.0746). CONCLUSIONS Fundus arteriosclerosis was closely associated with carotid atherosclerosis in the Chinese population. This association was found in males but not in females.

Abstract
Background In the field of minimally invasive surgery, the two-port laparoscopic surgery is on the rise. This study investigated the safety and efficacy of two-port laparoscopic surgery (TLS) for resecting sigmoid colon and upper rectal cancers compared with conventional laparoscopic surgery (CLS). Methods The clinical data of patients undergoing laparoscopic sigmoid colon cancer and upper rectal cancer resection at the Department of General Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College between July 2019 and January 2022 were retrospectively collected. Grouped according to different laparoscopic surgery. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria,A total of 81 patients were enrolled, of the 25 patients from the TLS group,and of the 56 patients from the CLS group. We mainly compared whether there were statistical differences between the two groups in terms of operative time, intraoperative bleeding, incision length, time to first ambulation, time to first flatus, time to first defecation, postoperative complication rate, and other surgical outcomes. Results There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of baseline clinical characteristics (P > 0.05). In terms of the surgical outcomes, there were statistical differences in the total incision length (TLS: 6.21 ± 0.67 cm, CLS: 8.64 ± 1.08 cm, P < 0.001)), time to first ambulation (TLS: 2.0 ± 0.7 d, CLS:3.1 ± 0.9 d, P < 0.001), time to first flatus (TLS: 2.5 ± 0.8 d, CLS: 3.0 ± 0.8 d, P = 0.028), time to first defecation (TLS: 3.8 ± 1.3 d, CLS: 5.1 ± 2.1 d, P = 0.010), and time for liquid diet (TLS: 4.3 ± 1.4 d, CLS: 5.3 ± 1.9 d, P = 0.021). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of the pathology (P > 0.05). Conclusion In terms of safety, TLS in sigmoid colon and upper rectal cancer resection is comparable to CLS. However, its incision is smaller and more aesthetic, and it causes lesser trauma than CLS. Additionally, it is also superior to CLS in postoperative recovery.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a respiratory condition characterized by acute exacerbations and reduced lung function. This study investigates the link between serum markers (Immunoglobulin M (IgM) and Immunoglobulin A (IgA)), thoracic computed tomography (CT) scan findings, and pulmonary function indexes during these episodes, aiming to improve our understanding and identify new diagnostic indicators. METHODS From the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University, we selected 89 COPD patients experiencing acute exacerbation within the past two years for our Acute Exacerbation Group (AG). Meanwhile, 96 COPD patients, initially treated at the same hospital and currently deemed stable, were chosen for the Stable Group (SG). Both groups underwent serum IgM and IgA tests, thoracic CT examinations, and pulmonary function assessments. RESULTS In the AG Group, the serum IgM levels were marginally lower than in the Stable Group (SG), though the difference wasn't statistically significant (p = 0.097). Conversely, serum IgA levels in the AG were significantly lower than in the SG (p < 0.001). The AG also showed markedly reduced lung volume, inspiratory lung density, and pulmonary function indexes compared to the SG while having considerably higher values for emphysema index (EI) and air trapping index (ATI) (all p < 0.001). Pearson correlation analysis revealed that lung volume, average inspiratory lung density, and IgA levels had strong positive correlations with one-second forced expiratory volume (FEV1), FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC), and diffuse carbon monoxide (DLCO) (with respective r-values of 0.824, 0.841, and 0.829; all p < 0.001). In contrast, EI and ATI exhibited significantly negative correlations with FEV1, FEV1/FVC, and DLCO (with r-values ranging from -0.837 to -0.885; all p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS The assessment of serum IgA combined with thoracic CT parameters offers valuable insights for diagnosing and evaluating acute exacerbations of COPD, presenting a straightforward clinical utility.

Abstract
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematological malignancy that is consistently preceded by an asymptomatic condition, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). Disparities by age, gender, and race/ethnicity in both MGUS and MM are well-established. However, it remains unclear whether these disparities can be explained by increased incidence of MGUS and/or accelerated progression from MGUS to MM. Here, we fit a mathematical model to nationally representative data from the United States and showed that the difference in MM incidence can be explained by an increased incidence of MGUS among male and non-Hispanic Black populations. We did not find evidence showing differences in the rate of progression from MGUS to MM by either gender or race/ethnicity. Our results suggest that screening for MGUS among high-risk groups (e.g., non-Hispanic Black men) may hold promise as a strategy to reduce the burden and MM health disparities.

Abstract
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is defined as HF with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) not less than 50%. HFpEF accounts for more than 50% of all HF patients, and its prevalence is increasing year to year with the aging population, with its prognosis worsening. The clinical assessment of cardiac function and prognosis in patients with HFpEF remains challenging due to the normal range of LVEF and the nonspecific symptoms and signs. In recent years, new echocardiographic techniques have been continuously developed, particularly speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE), which provides a sensitive and accurate method for the comprehensive assessment of cardiac function and prognosis in patients with HFpEF. Therefore, this article reviewed the clinical utility of STE in patients with HFpEF.

Abstract
Splicing quantitative trait loci (sQTLs) have been demonstrated to contribute to disease etiology by affecting alternative splicing. However, the role of sQTLs in the development of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains unknown. Thus, we performed a genome-wide sQTL study to identify genetic variants that affect alternative splicing in lung tissues from 116 individuals of Chinese ancestry, which resulted in the identification of 1,385 sQTL-harboring genes (sGenes) containing 378,210 significant variant-intron pairs. A comprehensive characterization of these sQTLs showed that they were enriched in actively transcribed regions, genetic regulatory elements, and splicing-factor-binding sites. Moreover, sQTLs were largely distinct from expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) and showed significant enrichment in potential risk loci of NSCLC. We also integrated sQTLs into NSCLC GWAS datasets (13,327 affected individuals and 13,328 control individuals) by using splice-transcriptome-wide association study (spTWAS) and identified alternative splicing events in 19 genes that were significantly associated with NSCLC risk. By using functional annotation and experiments, we confirmed an sQTL variant, rs35861926, that reduced the risk of lung adenocarcinoma (rs35861926-T, OR = 0.88, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.82-0.93, p = 1.87 × 10-5) by promoting FARP1 exon 20 skipping to downregulate the expression level of the long transcript FARP1-011. Transcript FARP1-011 promoted the migration and proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma cells. Overall, our study provided informative lung sQTL resources and insights into the molecular mechanisms linking sQTL variants to NSCLC risk.

Abstract
Monitoring population obesity risk primarily depends on self-reported anthropometric data prone to recall error and bias. This study developed machine learning (ML) models to correct self-reported height and weight and estimate obesity prevalence in US adults. Individual-level data from 50 274 adults were retrieved from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 1999-2020 waves. Large, statistically significant differences between self-reported and objectively measured anthropometric data were present. Using their self-reported counterparts, we applied 9 ML models to predict objectively measured height, weight, and body mass index. Model performances were assessed using root-mean-square error. Adopting the best performing models reduced the discrepancy between self-reported and objectively measured sample average height by 22.08%, weight by 2.02%, body mass index by 11.14%, and obesity prevalence by 99.52%. The difference between predicted (36.05%) and objectively measured obesity prevalence (36.03%) was statistically nonsignificant. The models may be used to reliably estimate obesity prevalence in US adults using data from population health surveys.

Abstract
Background Emerging evidence suggests a potential link between psychological distress (anxiety and depression) and lung cancer risk, however, it is unclear whether other factors such as tobacco smoking and genetic susceptibility modify the association. Methods We included 405,892 UK Biobank participants free of cancer at baseline. Psychological distress was measured using the Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4). A polygenic risk score (PRS) was calculated using 18 lung cancer-associated genetic loci. Multivariable Cox regression models were used to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results During a median follow-up of 7.13 years, 1754 lung cancer cases were documented. The higher score of psychological distress was associated with an increased risk of lung cancer (HRper 1-SD= 1.07, 95% CI: 1.02-1.11) after adjustment for smoking and other confounders. Mediation analysis revealed that 16.8% (95% CI: 13.0%-20.6%) of the distress-lung cancer association was mediated by smoking. Compared with never smokers with no distress, participants with heavy smoking and high distress had the highest risk of lung cancer (HR=18.57, 95% CI: 14.51-23.76). Both multiplicative and additive interactions were observed between smoking and psychological distress in lung cancer. Furthermore, the greatest relative increase in risk was observed among those with high genetic risk and high distress (HR=1.87, 95%CI: 1.50-2.33), and there was a significant additive interaction between the PRS and psychological distress. Conclusion Our results indicate that psychological distress was associated with an elevated risk of incident lung cancer, and such relation was modified by tobacco smoking and genetic susceptibility.

Abstract
The management of failing kidney allograft and transition of care to general nephrologists (GN) remain a complex process. The Kidney Pancreas Community of Practice (KPCOP) Failing Allograft Workgroup designed and distributed a survey to GN between May and September 2021. Participants were invited via mail and email invitations. There were 103 respondents with primarily adult nephrology practices, of whom 41% had an academic affiliation. More than 60% reported listing for a second kidney as the most important concern in caring for patients with a failing allograft, followed by immunosuppression management (46%) and risk of mortality (38%), while resistant anemia was considered less of a concern. For the initial approach to immunosuppression reduction, 60% stop antimetabolites first, and 26% defer to the transplant nephrologist. Communicating with transplant centers about immunosuppression cessation was reported to occur always by 60%, and sometimes by 29%, while 12% reported making the decision independently. Nephrologists with academic appointments communicate with transplant providers more than private nephrologists (74% vs. 49%, p = 0.015). There are heterogeneous approaches to the care of patients with a failing allograft. Efforts to strengthen transitions of care and to develop practical practice guidelines are needed to improve the outcomes of this vulnerable population.

Abstract
Excessive hepatic lipid accumulation is a common phenomenon in cultured fish; however, its underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Lipid droplet (LD)-related proteins play vital roles in LD accumulation. Herein, using a zebrafish liver cell line (ZFL), we show that LD accumulation is accompanied by differential expression of seven LD-annotated genes, among which the expression of dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR family) member 3 a/b (dhrs3a/b) increased synchronously. RNAi-mediated knockdown of dhrs3a delayed LD accumulation and downregulated the mRNA expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (pparg) in cells incubated with fatty acids. Notably, Dhrs3 catalyzed retinene to retinol, the content of which increased in LD-enriched cells. The addition of exogenous retinyl acetate maintained LD accumulation only in cells incubated in a lipid-rich medium. Correspondingly, exogenous retinyl acetate significantly increased pparg mRNA expression levels and altered the lipidome of the cells by increasing the phosphatidylcholine and triacylglycerol contents and decreasing the cardiolipin, phosphatidylinositol, and phosphatidylserine contents. Administration of LW6, an hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF1α) inhibitor, reduced the size and number of LDs in ZFL cells and attenuated hif1αa, hif1αb, dhrs3a, and pparg mRNA expression levels. We propose that the Hif-1α/Dhrs3a pathway participates in LD accumulation in hepatocytes, which induces retinol formation and the Ppar-γ pathway.

Abstract
Post-translational protein modification affects muscle physiochemistry. To understand the roles of N-glycosylation in this process, the muscle N-glycoproteomes of crisp grass carp (CGC) and ordinary grass carp (GC) were analyzed and compared. We identified 325 N-glycosylated sites with the NxT motif, classified 177 proteins, and identified 10 upregulated and 19 downregulated differentially glycosylated proteins (DGPs). Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes annotations revealed that these DGPs participate in myogenesis, extracellular matrix content formation, and muscle function. The DGPs partially accounted for the molecular mechanisms associated with the relatively smaller fiber diameter and higher collagen content observed in CGC. Though the DGPs diverged from the identified differentially phosphorylated proteins and differentially expressed proteins detected in previous study, they all shared similar metabolic and signaling pathways. Thus, they might independently alter fish muscle texture. Overall, the present study provides novel insights into the mechanisms underlying fillet quality.

Abstract
A cataluminescence (CTL) method has been developed for the rapid determination of acetic acid in enzyme products. The NiMn LDH/CNT/GO was synthesized based on the nanohybridization of NiMn layered double hydroxide (NiMn LDH), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and graphene oxide (GO). The composite has excellent CTL activity against acetic acid. It could be ascribed to the larger specific surface area and more exposure to active sites. NiMn LDH/CNT/GO is used as a catalyst in the CTL method based on its special structure and advantages. There is a linear relationship between CTL response and the acetic acid concentration in the range 0.31-12.00 mg·L-1 with the detection limit of 0.10 mg·L-1. The developed method is rapid and takes only about 13 s. The method is applied to the determination of acetic acid in enzyme samples with little sample preparation. The result of the CTL method shows good agreement with that of the gas chromatography method. The proposed CTL method possesses promising potential in the quality monitoring of enzymes.

Abstract
Importance While the COVID-19 pandemic enters a new phase and the proportion of individuals with a previous COVID-19 diagnosis increases, the national patterns in kidney use and medium-term kidney transplant (KT) outcomes among patients receiving kidneys from active or resolved COVID-19-positive donors remain unknown. Objective To evaluate the patterns in kidney use and KT outcomes among adult recipients of kidneys from deceased donors with active or resolved COVID-19. Design, Setting, and Participants This retrospective cohort study was conducted using national US transplant registry data from 35 851 deceased donors (71 334 kidneys) and 45 912 adult patients who received KTs from March 1, 2020, to March 30, 2023. Exposure The exposure was donor SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid amplification test (NAT) results, with positive NAT results within 7 days before procurement defined as active COVID-19 and positive NAT results 1 week (>7 days) before procurement defined as resolved COVID-19. Main Outcomes and Measures Primary outcomes were kidney nonuse, all-cause kidney graft failure, and all-cause patient death. Secondary outcomes were acute rejection (ie, rejection in the first 6 months after KT), transplant hospitalization length of stay (LOS), and delayed graft function (DGF). Multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed for kidney nonuse, rejection, and DGF; multivariable linear regression analyses were performed for LOS; and multivariable Cox regression analyses were performed for graft failure and all-cause death. All models were adjusted for inverse probability treatment weighting. Results Among 35 851 deceased donors, the mean (SD) age was 42.5 (15.3) years; 22 319 (62.3%) were men and 23 992 (66.9%) were White. Among 45 912 recipients, the mean (SD) age was 54.3 (13.2) years; 27 952 (60.9%) were men and 15 349 (33.4%) were Black. The likelihood of nonuse of kidneys from active or resolved COVID-19-positive donors decreased over time. Overall, kidneys from active COVID-19-positive donors (adjusted odds ratio [AOR], 1.55; 95% CI, 1.38-1.76) and kidneys from resolved COVID-19-positive donors (AOR, 1.31; 95% CI, 1.16-1.48) had a higher likelihood of nonuse compared with kidneys from COVID-19-negative donors. From 2020 to 2022, kidneys from active COVID-19-positive donors (2020: AOR, 11.26 [95% CI, 2.29-55.38]; 2021: AOR, 2.09 [95% CI, 1.58-2.79]; 2022: AOR, 1.47 [95% CI, 1.28-1.70]) had a higher likelihood of nonuse compared with kidneys from donors without COVID-19. Kidneys from resolved COVID-19-positive donors had a higher likelihood of nonuse in 2020 (AOR, 3.87; 95% CI, 1.26-11.90) and 2021 (AOR, 1.94; 95% CI, 1.54-2.45) but not in 2022 (AOR, 1.09; 95% CI, 0.94-1.28). In 2023, kidneys from both active COVID-19-positive donors (AOR, 1.07; 95% CI, 0.75-1.63) and resolved COVID-19-positive donors (AOR, 1.18; 95% CI, 0.80-1.73) were not associated with higher odds of nonuse. No higher risk of graft failure or death was found in patients receiving kidneys from active COVID-19-positive donors (graft failure: adjusted hazard ratio [AHR], 1.03 [95% CI, 0.78-1.37]; patient death: AHR, 1.17 [95% CI, 0.84-1.66]) or resolved COVID-19-positive donors (graft failure: AHR, 1.10 [95% CI, 0.88-1.39]; patient death: AHR, 0.95 [95% CI, 0.70-1.28]). Donor COVID-19 positivity was not associated with longer LOS, higher risk of acute rejection, or higher risk of DGF. Conclusions and Relevance In this cohort study, the likelihood of nonuse of kidneys from COVID-19-positive donors decreased over time, and donor COVID-19 positivity was not associated with worse KT outcomes within 2 years after transplant. These findings suggest that the use of kidneys from donors with active or resolved COVID-19 is safe in the medium term; further research is needed to assess longer-term transplant outcomes.

Abstract
To determine the effect of donor hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection on kidney transplant (KT) outcomes in the era of direct-acting antiviral (DAA) medications, we examined 68,087 HCV-negative KT recipients from a deceased donor between March 2015 and May 2021. A Cox regression analysis was used to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs) of KT failure, incorporating inverse probability of treatment weighting to control for patient selection to receive an HCV-positive kidney (either nucleic acid amplification test positive [NAT+, n = 2331] or antibody positive (Ab+)/NAT- [n = 1826]) based on recipient characteristics. Compared with kidney from HCV-negative donors, those from Ab+/NAT- (aHR = 0.91; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.75-1.10) and HCV NAT+ (aHR = 0.89; 95% CI, 0.73-1.08) donors were not associated with an increased risk of KT failure over 3 years after transplant. Moreover, HCV NAT+ kidneys were associated with a higher 1-year estimated glomerular filtration (63.0 vs 61.0 mL/min/1.73 m2, P = .007) and lower risk of delayed graft function (aOR = 0.76; 95% CI, 0.68-0.84) compared with HCV-negative kidneys. Our findings suggest that donor HCV positivity is not associated with an elevated risk of graft failure. The inclusion of donor HCV status in the Kidney Donor Risk Index may no longer be appropriate in contemporary practice.

Abstract
Right ventricular-pulmonary artery coupling (RV-PA coupling) refers to the relationship between RV contractility and RV afterload. Normal RV-PA coupling is maintained only when RV function and pulmonary vascular resistance are appropriately matched. RV-PA uncoupling occurs when RV contractility cannot increase to match RV afterload, resulting in RV dysfunction and right heart failure. RV-PA coupling plays an important role in the pathophysiology and progression of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, early and accurate evaluation of RV-PA coupling is of great significance for a patient's condition assessment, clinical decision making, risk stratification, and prognosis judgment. RV-PA coupling can be assessed by using invasive or noninvasive approaches. The aim of this review was to summarize the pathological mechanism and evaluation methods of RV-PA coupling, the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and the application value of RV-PA coupling in various cardiovascular diseases.

Abstract
To reduce contamination levels in Cd-contaminated paddy soil while retaining soil characteristics, we have studied the Cd-removing ability of 15 different amino acid-based ionic liquids, which are considered to be green solvents, as soil washing agents and their impact on soil. The results indicated that the glycine hydrochloride ([Gly][Cl]) removed the most Cd, and under optimized conditions could remove 82.2% of the total Cd. Encouragingly, the morphology of the soil had not been significantly changed by the washing process. After the soil was rinsed twice with water and the pH was adjusted to 6.2 by adding Ca(OH)2, the germination index of the rice increased by 7.5%. The growth of the rice was also stimulated, with lengths and weights of the rice plants increasing by 56% and 32%, respectively, after two weeks. These experiments demonstrate that amino-acid-derived ionic liquids can be promising soil-washing agents of Cd-contaminated paddy soil.

Abstract
Chronological age only represents the passage of time, whereas biological age reflects the physiology states and the susceptibility to morbidity and mortality. The association between biological age and lung cancer risk remains controversial. Hence, we conducted a prospective analysis in the UK Biobank study and two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis to investigate this association. Biological aging was evaluated by PhenoAgeAccel, derived from routine clinical biomarkers. Independent of chronological age, PhenoAgeAccel was positively associated with the risk of overall and histological subtypes of lung cancer. There was a joint effect of PhenoAgeAccel and genetics in lung cancer incidence. In Mendelian randomization analysis, the genetically predicted PhenoAgeAccel was associated with the increased risk of overall lung cancer, small cell, and squamous cell carcinoma. Our findings suggest PhenoAgeAccel is an independent risk factor for lung cancer, which could be incorporated with polygenic risk score to identify high-risk individuals for lung cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Health recommender systems (HRSs) are information retrieval systems that provide users with relevant items according to the users' needs, which can motivate and engage users to change their behavior. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to identify the development and evaluation of HRSs and create an evidence map. METHODS A total of 6 databases were searched to identify HRSs reported in studies from inception up to June 30, 2022, followed by forward citation and grey literature searches. Titles, abstracts, and full texts were screened independently by 2 reviewers, with discrepancies resolved by a third reviewer, when necessary. Data extraction was performed by one reviewer and checked by a second reviewer. This review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews) statement. RESULTS A total of 51 studies were included for data extraction. Recommender systems were used across different health domains, such as general health promotion, lifestyle, and generic health service. A total of 23 studies had reported the use of a combination of recommender techniques, classified as hybrid recommender systems, which are the most commonly used recommender techniques in HRSs. In the HRS design stage, only 10 of 51 (19.6%) recommender systems considered personal preferences of end users in the design or development of the system; a total of 29 studies reported the user interface of HRSs, and most HRSs worked on users' mobile interfaces, usually a mobile app. Two categories of HRS evaluations were used, and evaluations of HRSs varied greatly; 62.7% (32/51) of the studies used the offline evaluations using computational methods (no user), and 33.3% (17/51) of the studies included end users in their HRS evaluation. CONCLUSIONS Through this scoping review, nonmedical professionals and policy makers can visualize and better understand HRSs for future studies. The health care professionals and the end users should be encouraged to participate in the future design and development of HRSs to optimize their utility and successful implementation. Detailed evaluations of HRSs in a user-centered approach are needed in future studies.

Abstract
A male patient presented to department of ophthalmology for progressive left eye blurred vision with visual deformation for 1 month. Imaging findings were typical intraocular lymphoma infiltration, and head MRI and positron emission tomography-CT showed no mass in other parts of the body. After review of the medical history, the patient first presented with extrocular signs such as lacrimal gland enlargement, eyeball protrusion and extraocular myoedema, without any abnormal changes in the fundus. Combined with the history, the patient was diagnosed as a binocular primary accessory mantle cell lymphoma with intraocular infiltration. After 9 months of systemic treatment with rituximab combined with zbrutinib, the patient's binocular visual acuity was significantly improved and the intraocular and intraocular manifestations disappeared.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This review aims to estimate the prevalence of the neglect of 3- to 6-year-old children in China. METHOD We systematically searched both English- (Web of Science, PsychINFO, PubMed, and Cochrane Library) and Chinese-language databases (China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, Weipu, and Biomedical Database). We extracted data related to the prevalence of early childhood neglect and its subtypes and pooled it using random effects models. FINDINGS We included 21 eligible studies, with a total of 35,175 3- to 6-year-old children, in the analyses. The pooled neglect prevalence was 32.1% at a 95% confidence interval (95% CI [27.0%, 37.2%]). The prevalence of physical, emotional, educational, security, and medical neglect was 15.2% (95% CI [11.9%, 18.5%]), 15.2% (95% CI [10.7%, 19.6%]), 10.4% (95% CI [7.4%, 13.4%]), 13.8% (95% CI [9.9%, 17.8%]), and 11.5% (95% CI [8.1%, 14.9%]), respectively. No gender or location differences were found to affect early childhood neglect or its subtypes. INTERPRETATION Our results revealed a high prevalence of early childhood neglect-including all its subtypes-among 3- to 6-year-old children in China. Improved child policies and prevention programs tailored to preschool children are needed to protect the well-being of younger children.

Abstract
Background The impact of serum uric acid (SUA) trajectories on the development of retinal arteriosclerosis is uncertain. The purpose of this study was to identify adult SUA trajectories by sex and determine their association with risk of retinal arteriosclerosis. Methods In this longitudinal study, 4,324 participants who were aged between 18 and 60 years without retinal arteriosclerosis at or before baseline (from January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2010) were included. Group-based trajectory modeling was used to identify SUA trajectories during the exposure period (from January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2010). Cox proportional-hazards models were applied to evaluate the associations between SUA trajectories and the risk of incident retinal arteriosclerosis during the outcome period (from January 1, 2011, through December 31, 2019). Results 4 distinct SUA trajectories were identified in both women and men: low, moderate, moderate-high, and high. During a median follow-up of 9.54 years (IQR 9.53-9.56), 97 women and 295 men had developed retinal arteriosclerosis. In the fully adjusted model, a significant association between the moderate-high SUA trajectory group and incidence of retinal arteriosclerosis was observed only in men (HR: 1.76, 95% CI: 1.17-2.65) compared with the low trajectory group, but not in women (HR: 0.77, 95% CI: 0.39-1.52). Also, the high SUA trajectory group had the highest risk with an adjusted HR of 1.81 (95% CI, 1.04-3.17) in men. However, they did not exhibit a substantially increased risk in women. Conclusion Higher SUA trajectory groups were significantly associated with an increased risk of incident retinal arteriosclerosis in men but not in women.

Abstract
Esophageal cancer, especially esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), poses a serious threat to human health. It is urgently needed to develop recognition tools and discover molecular targets for early diagnosis and targeted therapy of esophageal cancer. Here, we developed several DNA aptamers that can bind to ESCC KYSE410 cells with a nanomolar range of dissociation constants by using cell-based systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (cell-SELEX). The selected A2 aptamer is found to strongly bind with multiple cancer cells, including several ESCC cell lines. Tissue imaging displayed that the A2 aptamer can specifically recognize clinical ESCC tissues but not the adjacent tissues. Moreover, we identified integrin β1 as the binding target of A2 through pull-down and RNA interference assays. Meanwhile, molecular docking and mutation assays suggested that A2 probably binds to integrin β1 through the nucleotides of DA16-DG21, and competitive binding and structural alignment assays indicated that A2 shares the overlapped binding sites with laminin and arginine-glycine-aspartate ligands. Furthermore, we engineered A2-induced targeted therapy for ESCC. By constructing A2-tethered DNA nanoassemblies carrying multiple doxorubicin (Dox) molecules as antitumor agents, inhibition of tumor cell growth in vitro and in vivo was achieved. This work provides a useful targeting tool and a potential molecular target for cancer diagnosis and targeted therapy and is helpful for understanding the integrin mechanism and developing integrin inhibitors.

Abstract
A large body of evidence indicates that long non-coding ribonucleic acid (lncRNA) is widely involved in various cellular processes and tumor progression. LINC00662, an lncRNA, has been reported to play a role in lung cancer. However, the biological function of LINC00662 in gastric cancer (GC) has not yet been explored. This study aimed to investigate the role and mechanisms of LINC00662 in promoting the proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis of BGC-823 and HGC-27 cells and the subsequent effect on the progression of GC. The expression level of LINC00662 in GC tissues and cells was detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Small interfering RNA was used to silence LINC00662 in BGC-823 and HGC-27 GC cells in vitro for an MTT assay, a colony formation assay, and a transwell assay to determine cell proliferation and invasion ability. LINC00662-silenced BGC-823 and HGC-27 cells were also injected into zebrafish to detect the proliferation and invasion ability of the cells. Co-cultures in vitro of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with silenced LINC00662 and in vivo experiments were also performed. The upregulation of LINC00662 was observed in GC tissues and cell lines. Functional studies in vitro showed that knocking down LINC00662 inhibited the proliferation and invasion of GC cells. In vivo experiments in zebrafish also confirmed that knocked-down LINC00662 inhibited the proliferation and invasion of GC cells, and in vitro angiogenesis experiments showed that the supernatant of GC with knocked-down LINC00662 inhibited the angiogenesis of HUVECs. LINC00662 promoted the proliferation, invasion, and migration of GC cells and promoted angiogenesis. These findings suggest that LINC00662 may be a potential therapeutic target for GC.

Abstract
Background At present, there is a lack of novel biomarkers for the early diagnosis and targeted therapy of colorectal cancer (CRC). The current study investigated the expression of miR-17-5p in colorectal tumors and adjacent tissues, and examined the effects of miR-17-5p on the cellular growth of the colon cancer cell line HCT-116. Methods A total of 30 paired tissue specimens were obtained from patients with CRC who were admitted to the Department of General Surgery V of the First Affiliated Hospital, Gannan Medical College between December 2019 and January 2021. The clinical information for the corresponding patients was collated. Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was performed to detect the expression of miR-17-5p in tumor tissues and the paracancerous tissues. The relationship between miR-17-5p and clinicopathology was analyzed. The CRC cell line HCT-116 was transfected with miR-17-5p mimics and inhibitors using liposomes. The effects of miR-17-5p on cell proliferation, invasion and migration, and apoptosis were determined using colon formation assays, transwell and scratch assays, and flow cytometry, respectively. The effects of miR-17-5p on CD44 (homing cell adhesion molecule), MMP2 (matrix metalloproteinase 2), BCL2 (B-cell lymphoma-2), BAX (BCL2-associated X), and E-cadherin protein and gene expression were investigated using Western blot and RT-qPCR, respectively. Results MiR-17-5p expression was higher in tumor tissues compared to the normal adjacent tissues. While miR-17-5p expression levels were unrelated to age nor gender, they were related to the degree of differentiation, stage, lymph node metastasis, and tumor size in patients with CRC. Upregulation of miR-17-5p promoted CRC cell proliferation, metastasis, and invasion, while inhibiting apoptosis. However, downregulation of miR-17-5p had the opposite effect. Furthermore, miR-17-5p upregulation increased E-cadherin, CD44, MMP2, and BCL2 expression while decreasing BAX expression, whereas miR-17-5p downregulation had the opposite effect. Conclusions MiR-17-5p is highly expressed in tumor tissues and correlates with increased proliferation, invasion, and migration, as well as reduced apoptosis in HCT-116 cells. Indeed, miR-17-5p may be a potential indicator for the early diagnosis of CRC and may guide clinical targeted therapy.

Abstract
Information technology has become an important driver to facilitate higher education developments in the context of new medical sciences. A new "virtual-real combination" experimental teaching model was designed and created through integrating information technology with experimental teaching by Experimental Teaching Center of Basic Medical Sciences and Department of Pathogen Biology, Nanjing Medical University and was applied in Human Parasitology teaching, which achieved satisfactory teaching effectiveness. This new model showed effective to deepen the understanding of the basic human parasitology knowledge, improve the operative skills, and cultivate the moral literacy and comprehensive capability among medical students. This report presents the teaching protocols and implementation, teaching effectiveness and evaluation, and experiences of comprehensive schistosome experiments.

Abstract
A highly myopic patient complained of 2 months of visual acuity loss and 4 months of ocular pain in the right eye after 16 years after bilateral cataract extraction. The slit lamp microscopy examination showed a residual lens capsule dislocation in the right anterior chamber of the eye, which was diagnosed as a residual lens capsule dislocation in the right eye. After diagnosis and timely treatment, the patient's postoperative vision and visual field recovered well.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a new domestic distal perforated stent graft (Talos stent) in the treatment of Stanford type B aortic dissection (TBAD). Methods: Twenty-five patients with TBAD treated with Talos stent in Yan'an Hospital Affiliated to Kunming Medical University from February 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research subjects. Intraoperative angiography was performed to determine the number of branch arteries that remained after stent release. On postoperative day 5 (POD5), the pain intensity of the patients was evaluated by visual analog scale (VAS). The computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the patients before operation, 6 months and 12 months after operation were compared including aortic diameter, true lumen diameter, and false lumen diameter at the level of tracheal bifurcation. Follow-up was performed 1 month, 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months after surgery, and the occurrence of stent-related adverse events, reoperation and survival rate were recorded. Results: The enrolled patients included 19 males and 6 females, aged (52.6±11.1) years. Intraoperative angiography showed that 4 (1, 7) branch arteries were preserved, and the VAS score was 1 (0, 1) on POD5. The aortic diameters at the level of the tracheal bifurcation were (34.9±1.1) mm, (34.6±0.9) mm and (34.8±1.0) mm before surgery, 6 months and 12 months after surgery, and there was no significant difference (P=0.926); the diameters of the main true lumen at the level of the tracheal bifurcation were (13.3±1.6) mm, (21.8±1.0) mm and (22.3±1.1) mm before surgery, 6 months and 12 months postoperatively, while the diameters of the main false lumen at the level of the tracheal bifurcation were (20.8±2.2) mm, (4.5±1.5) mm, and (4.6±1.7) mm, respectively. Compared with before surgery, the diameter of true lumen increased significantly 6 months and 12 months after surgery (both P<0.001), while the diameter of false lumen decreased (both P<0.001). No stent-related adverse events occurred within 30 days after surgery, no secondary operations occurred within 12 months after surgery, no type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ endoleaks, no deaths or cases of paraplegia were reported, and the stent structure and position remained good. There were no deaths or paraplegia cases 24 months postoperatively, and no stent-related adverse events occurred. Conclusion: Using Talos stent in the treatment of TBAD can effectively help remodel the aorta, while preserve the intercostal artery and spinal artery, with good clinical effect and safety.

Abstract
Heart failure (HF) is an extremely major health problem with gradually increasing incidence in developed and developing countries. HF may lead to cardiac remodeling; thus, advanced imaging techniques are required to comprehensively evaluate cardiac mechanics. Recently, three-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography (3D-STE) has been developed as a novel imaging technology that is based on the three-dimensional speckle-tracking on the full volume three-dimensional datasets. Three-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography allows a more accurate evaluation of global and regional myocardial performance, assessment of cardiac mechanics, detection of subclinical cardiac dysfunction, and prediction of adverse clinical events in a variety of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this review summarizes the clinical usefulness of 3D-STE in patients with HF.

Abstract
A strategy was developed for the visible-light-induced photocatalytic synthesis of dihydrochalcone via the deoxygenation and coupling of benzoic acid derivatives with alkenes using diphenyl sulfide as the O-transfer reagent. Under mild photoredox conditions, a series of dihydrochalcone derivatives were produced in moderate to good yields. A mechanism for the visible-light-induced free-radical coupling was proposed on the basis of the control experiments. The protocol provides a new strategy the generation of acyl radicals from carboxylic acids and the synthesis of dihydrochalcones.
