Abstract
AIM Our main goal of this meta-analytical analysis was to evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) against multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) in the context of identifying biochemical recurrence in patients with prostate cancer (PCa). MATERIALS AND METHODS A thorough search covering articles published until March 2023 was carried out across major databases such as PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science. Studies examining the direct comparison of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI in patients with PCa suffering biochemical recurrence were included in the inclusion criteria. Using the renowned Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Performance Studies-2 technique, each study's methodological rigor was assessed. RESULTS We analyzed data from six eligible studies involving 290 patients in total. The combined data showed that for PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI, respectively, the pooled overall detection rates for recurrent PCa after definitive treatment were 0.69 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.45-0.89) and 0.70 (95% CI: 0.44-0.91). The detection rates for local recurrence were specifically 0.52 (95% CI: 0.39-0.65) and 0.62 (95% CI: 0.31-0.89), while they were 0.50 (95% CI: 0.26-0.74) and 0.32 (95% CI: 0.18-0.48) for lymph node metastasis. Notably, there was no discernible difference between the two imaging modalities in terms of the overall detection rate (P = 0.95). The detection rates for local recurrence and lymph node metastasis did not differ statistically significantly (P = 0.55, 0.23). CONCLUSION The performance of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI in identifying biochemical recurrence in PCa appears to be comparable. However, the meta-analysis' findings came from research with modest sample sizes. In this context, more extensive research should be conducted in the future.

Abstract
Background Abnormally expressed Runt-associated transcription factor (RUNX) family has been reported in multiple tumors. Nevertheless, the immunological role of RUNX family in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) remains unknown. Methods We studied the RNA-seq data regarding tumor and healthy subjects from several public databases in detail for evaluating the prognostic and immunological functions owned by three RUNX genes in cancer patients. Quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining served for detecting their expressions in tumor and normal samples. Results We observed that KIRC patients presented high expressions of RUNX1, RUNX2, and RUNX3. The expressions of three genes were validated by qRT-PCR, which was same as bioinformatical results. Prognostic analysis indicated that the overexpression of RUNX1 and RUNX2 negatively affects the outcomes in patients with KIRC. Related functional predictions indicated that the RUNXs and co-expression genes were significantly related to the immune response pathway. Moreover, three RUNX members were associated with immune infiltration cells and their related gene markers. The expression of RUNX family in several immune cells is positively or negatively correlated, and its dysregulation is obviously associated with the differential distribution of immune cells. RUNX family genes were abnormally expressed in KIRC patients, and were closely related to the crosstalk of immune cells. Conclusions Our findings may help to understand the pathogenesis and immunologic roles of the RUNX family in KIRC patients from new perspectives.

Abstract
The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Clinical Practice Guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with early breast cancer were updated and published online in 2023, and adapted, according to previously established standard methodology, to produce the Pan-Asian adapted (PAGA) ESMO consensus guidelines for the management of Asian patients with early breast cancer. The adapted guidelines presented in this manuscript represent the consensus opinions reached by a panel of Asian experts in the treatment of patients with breast cancer representing the oncological societies of China (CSCO), Indonesia (ISHMO), India (ISMPO), Japan (JSMO), Korea (KSMO), Malaysia (MOS), the Philippines (PSMO), Singapore (SSO), Taiwan (TOS) and Thailand (TSCO), co-ordinated by ESMO and KSMO. The voting was based on scientific evidence and was independent of the current treatment practices, drug access restrictions and reimbursement decisions in the different Asian regions represented by the 10 oncological societies. The latter are discussed separately in the manuscript. The aim is to provide guidance for the optimisation and harmonisation of the management of patients with early breast cancer across the different regions of Asia, drawing on the evidence provided by both Western and Asian trials, whilst respecting the differences in screening practices, molecular profiling, as well as the age and stage at presentation. Attention is drawn to the disparity in the drug approvals and reimbursement strategies, between the different regions of Asia.

Abstract
The N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification is an important regulator of gene expression. m6A is deposited by a methyltransferase complex that includes methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3) and methyltransferase-like 14 (METTL14). High levels of METTL3/METTL14 drive the growth of many types of adult cancer, and METTL3/METTL14 inhibitors are emerging as new anticancer agents. However, little is known about the m6A epitranscriptome or the role of the METTL3/METTL14 complex in neuroblastoma, a common pediatric cancer. Here, we show that METTL3 knockdown or pharmacologic inhibition with the small molecule STM2457 leads to reduced neuroblastoma cell proliferation and increased differentiation. These changes in neuroblastoma phenotype are associated with decreased m6A deposition on transcripts involved in nervous system development and neuronal differentiation, with increased stability of target mRNAs. In preclinical studies, STM2457 treatment suppresses the growth of neuroblastoma tumors in vivo. Together, these results support the potential of METTL3/METTL14 complex inhibition as a therapeutic strategy against neuroblastoma.

Abstract
Objective Gastroblastoma is an extremely rare gastric tumor. Its pathogenesis remains unclear and there is a lack of specific clinical symptoms. The aim of this paper is to report a case of gastroblastoma and provide references for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of this disease. Methods The diagnosis and treatment of a 51-year-old female patient with gastroblastoma were retrospectively reported. Analyzing this case by combining the clinical data such as imaging and pathological results of patients with the relevant literature. Results The patient's chief complaint was the presence of melena persisted for over two weeks. Abdominal contrast-enhanced CT showed gastric antral nodules, and micro-probe endoscopic ultrasonography was considered as "gastric antral protruding lesions". The initial diagnosis of "gastric stromal tumor" was made after admission, and surgical treatment was performed on September 23, 2021. Postoperative pathology showed that gastric mixed epithelial and stromal tumor, combined with immunohistochemical staining, was suggestive of gastroblastoma. No signs of tumor recurrence or metastasis were observed during the 2-year follow-up. Conclusion Combined with the existing literature reports, the incidence of gastroblastoma is mainly higher in young men, and the predilection site is gastric antrum. The biological behavior of the tumor tends to be indolent, and the prognosis of most cases is favorable. However, due to the extremely small number of cases, this conclusion still needs a large number of cases and follow-up data to support. Postoperative pathological and immunohistochemical examination results are the only methods for definite diagnosis at present, and surgery is the first choice for treatment.

Abstract
Understanding universal aspects of quantum dynamics is an unresolved problem in statistical mechanics. In particular, the spin dynamics of the one-dimensional Heisenberg model were conjectured as to belong to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class based on the scaling of the infinite-temperature spin-spin correlation function. In a chain of 46 superconducting qubits, we studied the probability distribution of the magnetization transferred across the chain's center, [Formula: see text]. The first two moments of [Formula: see text] show superdiffusive behavior, a hallmark of KPZ universality. However, the third and fourth moments ruled out the KPZ conjecture and allow for evaluating other theories. Our results highlight the importance of studying higher moments in determining dynamic universality classes and provide insights into universal behavior in quantum systems.

Abstract
Conditional power (CP) serves as a widely utilized approach for futility monitoring in group sequential designs. However, adopting the CP methods may lead to inadequate control of the type II error rate at the desired level. In this study, we introduce a flexible beta spending function tailored to regulate the type II error rate while employing CP based on a predetermined standardized effect size for futility monitoring (a so-called CP-beta spending function). This function delineates the expenditure of type II error rate across the entirety of the trial. Unlike other existing beta spending functions, the CP-beta spending function seamlessly incorporates beta spending concept into the CP framework, facilitating precise stagewise control of the type II error rate during futility monitoring. In addition, the stopping boundaries derived from the CP-beta spending function can be calculated via integration akin to other traditional beta spending function methods. Furthermore, the proposed CP-beta spending function accommodates various thresholds on the CP-scale at different stages of the trial, ensuring its adaptability across different information time scenarios. These attributes render the CP-beta spending function competitive among other forms of beta spending functions, making it applicable to any trials in group sequential designs with straightforward implementation. Both simulation study and example from an acute ischemic stroke trial demonstrate that the proposed method accurately captures expected power, even when the initially determined sample size does not consider futility stopping, and exhibits a good performance in maintaining overall type I error rates for evident futility.

Abstract
The electrophysiological function of the tongue involves complicated activities in taste sense, producing the perceptions of salty, sweet, bitter, and sour. However, therapies and prevention of taste loss arising from dysfunction in electrophysiological activity require further fundamental research. Optogenetics has revolutionized neuroscience and brought the study of sensory system to a higher level in taste. The year 2022 marks a decade of developments of optogenetics in taste since this technology was adopted from neuroscience and applied to the taste research. This review summarizes a decade of advances that define near-term translation with optogenetic tools, and newly-discovered mechanisms with the applications of these tools. The main limitations and opportunities for optogenetics in taste research are also discussed.

Abstract
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is regarded as a recurring inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract, for which treatment approaches remain notably limited. In this study, we demonstrated that ginseng polysaccharides (GPs) could alleviate the development of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced UC as reflected by the ameliorated pathological lesions in the colon. GPs strikingly suppressed the expression levels of multiple inflammatory cytokines, as well as significantly inhibited the infiltration of inflammatory cells. Microbiota-dependent investigations by virtue of 16S rRNA gene sequencing, antibiotic treatment and fecal microbiota transplantation illustrated that GPs treatment prominently restored intestinal microbial balance predominantly through modulating the relative abundance of Lactobacillus. Additionally, GPs remarkably influenced the levels of microbial tryptophan metabolites, diminished the intestinal permeability and strengthened intestinal barrier integrity via inhibiting the 5-HT/HTR3A signaling pathway. Taken together, the promising therapeutic potential of GPs on the development of UC predominantly hinges on the capacity to suppress the expression of inflammatory cytokines as well as to influence Lactobacillus and microbial tryptophan metabolites.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To assess the accuracy of autonomous robotic and fully guided static computer-assisted implant surgery (sCAIS) performed on models and patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was divided into in vitro and in vivo sections. In vitro, 80 operators were assigned to two groups randomly. Forty operators performed forty autonomous robotic implant (ARI group) surgeries and the remaining forty operators carried out forty fully guided sCAIS (FGI group) surgeries on maxillary models, respectively. Each operator placed an implant in one maxillary model. In vivo, 60 patients with 113 implants from 2019 to 2023 (ARI group: 32 patients, 58 implants; FGI group: 28 patients, 55 implants) receiving implant surgeries were incorporated in this retrospective research. The preoperative and postoperative cone beam computer tomographs (CBCTs) were utilized to estimate the linear deviations and angular deviations in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) space. The Pearson's chi-square test, Shapiro-Wilk test, Student's t test, Mann-Whitney U test and mixed models were applied, and p <0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS In vitro, a total of 80 implants were enrolled and significant differences were found between the two groups (p < 0.001): The 3D deviation at the platform of ARI and FGI group was 0.58 ± 0.60 mm and 1.50 ± 1.46 mm, respectively, at the apex was 0.58 ± 0.60 mm and 1.78 ± 1.35 mm, respectively, and angle was 1.01 ± 0.87° and 2.93 ± 1.59°, respectively. Also, except for mesiodistal deviation at the implant platform, the rest linear and angular deviations in the ARI group were significantly lower than those in the FGI group in 2D space (p < 0.001). In vivo, a significantly lower mean of angular deviation (0.95 ± 0.50°, p < 0.001) and the linear deviation at both platform (0.45 ± 0.28 mm, p < 0.001) and apex (0.47 ± 0.28 mm, p < 0.001) were observed in ARI group when compared to the FGI group (4.31 ± 2.60°; 1.45 ± 1.27 mm; 1.77 ± 1.14 mm). CONCLUSIONS The use of autonomous robotic technology showed significantly higher accuracy than the fully guided sCAIS.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intrathecal pemetrexed (IP) for treating patients with leptomeningeal metastases (LM) from non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who progressed from epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in an expanded, prospective, single-arm, phase II clinical study (ChiCTR1800016615). PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients with confirmed NSCLC-LM who progressed from TKI received IP (50 mg, day 1/day 5 for 1 week, then every 3 weeks for four cycles, and then once monthly) until disease progression or intolerance. Objectives were to assess overall survival (OS), response rate, and safety. Measurable lesions were assessed by investigator according to RECIST version 1.1. LM were assessed according to the Response Assessment in Neuro-Oncology (RANO) criteria. RESULTS The study included 132 patients; 68% were female and median age was 52 years (31-74 years). The median OS was 12 months (95% confidence interval 10.4-13.6 months), RANO-assessed response rate was 80.3% (106/132), and the most common adverse event was myelosuppression (n = 42; 31.8%), which reversed after symptomatic treatment. The results of subgroup analysis showed that absence of brain parenchymal metastasis, good Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group score, good response to IP treatment, negative cytology after treatment, and patients without neck/back pain/difficult defecation had longer survival. Gender, age, previous intrathecal methotrexate/cytarabine, and whole-brain radiotherapy had no significant influence on OS. CONCLUSIONS This study further showed that IP is an effective and safe treatment method for the EGFR-TKI-failed NSCLC-LM, and should be recommended for these patients in clinical practice and guidelines.

Abstract
Engineered dissipative reservoirs have the potential to steer many-body quantum systems toward correlated steady states useful for quantum simulation of high-temperature superconductivity or quantum magnetism. Using up to 49 superconducting qubits, we prepared low-energy states of the transverse-field Ising model through coupling to dissipative auxiliary qubits. In one dimension, we observed long-range quantum correlations and a ground-state fidelity of 0.86 for 18 qubits at the critical point. In two dimensions, we found mutual information that extends beyond nearest neighbors. Lastly, by coupling the system to auxiliaries emulating reservoirs with different chemical potentials, we explored transport in the quantum Heisenberg model. Our results establish engineered dissipation as a scalable alternative to unitary evolution for preparing entangled many-body states on noisy quantum processors.

Abstract
Base-catalyzed diastereodivergent and regioselective domino processes of triketone enones with arylacetaldehydes for the synthesis of tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]furans with four consecutive stereocenters are reported. Good yields and diastereoselectivities are obtained when DBU is employed as a catalyst; in contrast, Et3N delivers a different diastereomer in excellent diastereoselectivity. This work offers many advantages, including switchable diastereoselectivity, cheap base catalysts, and a simple operation.

Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) exacerbates irreversible bone loss in periodontitis, but the mechanism of impaired bone regeneration caused by the abnormal metabolic process of T2DM remains unclear. Exosomes are regarded as the critical mediator in diabetic impairment of regeneration via organ or tissue communication. Here, we find that abnormally elevated exosomes derived from metabolically impaired liver in T2DM are significantly enriched in the periodontal region and induced pyroptosis of periodontal ligament cells (PDLCs). Mechanistically, fatty acid synthase (Fasn), the main differentially expressed molecule in diabetic exosomes results in ectopic fatty acid synthesis in PDLCs and activates the cleavage of gasdermin D. Depletion of liver Fasn effectively mitigates pyroptosis of PDLCs and alleviates bone loss. Our findings elucidate the mechanism of exacerbated bone loss in diabetic periodontitis and reveal the exosome-mediated organ communication in the "liver-bone" axis, which shed light on the prevention and treatment of diabetic bone disorders in the future.

Abstract
Difluoroenoxysilane, a commonly used difluoroallylating reagent, has attracted considerable attention in recent years. However, its application in the annulation reaction for the construction of fluorinated heterocyclic compounds remains relatively limited. Presented here is the Brønsted acid-catalyzed efficient formal [4 + 2] annulation of difluoroenoxysilanes with α-cyano chalcones. The developed protocol demonstrates tolerance to various substituents under mild reaction conditions, providing a reliable approach to construct gem-difluoro-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrans in good to excellent yields with high diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to explore the clinical significance of lateral pelvic sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) using indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence navigation in laparoscopic lateral pelvic lymph node dissection (LLND) and evaluate the accuracy and feasibility of this technique to predict the status of lateral pelvic lymph nodes (LPLNs). Methods: The clinical and pathological characteristics, surgical outcomes, lymph node findings and perioperative complications of 16 rectal cancer patients who underwent SLNB using ICG fluorescence navigation in laparoscopic LLND in the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College during April 2017 and October 2022 were retrospectively collected and analyzed. The patients did not receive preoperative neoadjuvant radiotherapy and presented with LPLNs but without LPLN enlargement (MRI showed the maximum short axes of the LPLNs were ≥5 mm and <10 mm at first visit). Results: All 16 patients were successfully performed SLNB using ICG fluorescence navigation in laparoscopic LLND. Three patients underwent bilateral LLND and 13 patients underwent unilateral LLND. The lateral pelvic sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) were clearly fluorescent before dissection in 14 patients and the detection rate of SLNs for these patients was 87.5%. Lateral pelvic SLN metastasis was diagnosed in 2 patients and negative results were found in 12 patients by frozen pathological examinations. Among the 14 patients in whom lateral pelvic SLNs were detected, the dissected lateral pelvic non-SLNs were all negative. All dissected LPLNs were negative in two patients without fluorescent lateral pelvic SLNs. The specificity, sensitivity, negative predictive value, and accuracy was 85.7%, 100%, 100%, and 100%, respectively. Conclusions: This study indicates that lateral pelvic SLNB using ICG fluorescence navigation shows promise as a safe and feasible procedure with good accuracy. This technique may replace preventive LLND for locally advanced lower rectal cancer.

Abstract
Objective: To identify the association between CD4+T lymphocyte (CD4) counts and physical frailty among HIV-infected people aged 65 years and older, and evaluate whether this association will be modified by the indicators of body composition. Methods: From May to October 2022, 485 elderly HIV-infected patients receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART) were recruited from 7 antiviral treatment sites in Jiangjin District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Chongqing. The data of basic characteristics (age and gender), living habits (smoking and drinking) and disease history (metabolic diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, respiratory disease and malignant tumors) were collected through the face-to-face investigation with self-made questionnaires. Fried Frailty Scale was used to evaluate the status of physical frailty. Physical fitness (walking speed, grip strength, height, and weight) and body composition (skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, and basal metabolic rate) were measured. The antiretroviral treatment data were obtained from the China AIDS Integrated Prevention and Treatment Data information management system. The prevalence of physical frailty was calculated among the HIV-infected patients. The potential effects of CD4 counts on physical frailty were explored by using multivariate logistic regression. Subgroup analyses were repeated in the logistic regression with muscle mass, body fat mass, and other indicators of body composition as subgroup variables to determine whether the association might be modified by body composition. Results: The age of 485 patients were (72±5) years old, of which 48.2% (234 cases) were>70 years old and 70.9% (344 cases) were male, and all of whom had initiated the ART treatment. The prevalence of physical frailty among these patients was 7.4% (36/485). Multivariate logistic regression showed that after adjusting for age, sex, smoking, drinking, body composition index, ART duration, viral load and the number of comorbidities, increased CD4 cell level was associated with decreased prevalent risk of physical frailty among elderly HIV-infected patients. For every increase of 5.0×107 CD4 cells/L, the prevalent risk of physical frailty decreased by 12% [OR (95%CI): 0.88 (0.76-1.01)]. Compared with the low CD4 cell level group, the risk of physical frailty in those with normal CD4 cell level decreased by 69% [OR (95%CI): 0.31 (0.10-0.92)]. Subgroup analysis of body composition indicators showed that the protective effect of normal CD4 cell level on physical frailty was more pronounced in the high skeletal muscle mass and high basal metabolic rate group (Pinteraction<0.05). Conclusion: The prevalence of physical frailty among elderly HIV-infected patients is relatively lower in Chongqing, and the CD4 cell level, skeletal muscle mass and basal metabolic rate are related to physical frailty.

Abstract
Background Acute pancreatitis is an unpredictable and potentially fatal condition for which no definitive cure is currently available. Our research focused on exploring the connection between body mass index, a frequently overlooked risk factor, and both the onset and progression of acute pancreatitis. Material/Methods A total of 247 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted to Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to February 2023 were retrospectively reviewed. After screening, 117 patients with complete height and body weight data were selected for detailed assessment. Additionally, 85 individuals who underwent physical examinations at our hospital during this period were compiled to create a control group. The study received ethical approval from the ethics committee of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine (Ref: No.2022NL-114-02) and was conducted in accordance with the China Good Clinical Practice in Research guidelines. Results A significant difference in body mass index (BMI) was observed between the healthy group and acute pancreatitis (AP) patients (p < 0.05), with a more pronounced disparity noted in cases of hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis (p < 0.01). A potential risk for AP was identified at a BMI greater than 23.56 kg/m2 (AUC = 0.6086, p < 0.05). Being in the obese stage I (95%CI, [1.11-1.84]) or having a BMI below 25.4 kg/m2 (95%CI, [1.82-6.48]) are identified as risk factors for adverse AP progression. Moreover, BMI effectively predicts the onset of acute edematous pancreatitis and acute necrotizing pancreatitis (AUC = 0.7893, p < 0.001, cut-off value = 25.88 kg/m2). A higher BMI correlates with increased recurrence rates within a short timeframe (r = 0.7532, p < 0.01). Conclusions Elevated BMI is a risk factor for both the occurrence and progression of AP, and underweight status may similarly contribute to poor disease outcomes. BMI is crucial for risk prediction and stratification in AP and warrants ongoing monitoring and consideration.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The multidose Sabin-strain inactivated poliovirus vaccine (sIPV) has the potential to significantly aid in the eradication of poliomyelitis, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. As part of a phase III clinical trial in which infants were given three doses of primary immunization at 2, 3, and 4 months of age, this study aimed to evaluate immune persistence following primary immunization, as well as the safety and immunogenicity of a booster of the 5-dose sIPV in infants aged 18 months. METHODS Infants aged 18 months were given one booster dose of 5-dose sIPV in stage one, which was open-label. Unblinding was performed for stage two after completing primary immunization, which was randomized, blinded, and controlled; infants aged 18 months in the test group I-III, IPV group, and single-dose sIPV group were given one booster dose of 5-dose sIPV, conventional IPV, and single-dose sIPV, respectively, in stage two. RESULTS This study included 1438 infants in the immune persistence and safety set and 1387 infants in the booster per-protocol set. Fourteen months after primary immunization, the seropositivity rates (≥1:8) for types 1-3 were 100%, 99.88%, and 99.53% in the 5-dose sIPV groups; 100%, 98.97%, and 97.23% in the IPV group; and 99.66%, 100%, and 99.66% in the single-dose sIPV group. A total of 30 days after booster immunization, the seropositivity rates (≥1:8) of 3 serotypes in all the groups reached 100%. The geometric mean titers of neutralizing antibodies for types 1-3 in the 5-dose sIPV group were 9962.89, 10273, and 7870.21, with geometric mean increases of 15.76, 33.15, and 24.5, compared to the pre-booster level. The overall incidence of adverse reactions was 8.97%, with fever being the most common, observed at rates of 7.1%, 5.52%, and 7.96% in the 5-dose sIPV, IPV, and single-dose groups, respectively (p = 0.4845). CONCLUSIONS The 5-dose sIPV has shown promising immune persistence and robust immune response following a booster immunization, coupled with an acceptable safety profile.

Abstract
Singlet oxygen (1O2) is a highly effective reactive species in selectively oxidizing organic pollutants. However, it is still challenging to rationally design robust catalysts for the selective generation of 1O2. Herein, the coordination and engineering architecture of the foam board-like CoSe2 alloy were facilely constructed through a green solvent-free method and displayed almost 100% 1O2 production selectivity. The CoSe2 alloy showed excellent catalytic ability for the efficient and fast removal of organic pollutants via peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation compared with previously reported cobalt-based catalysts. The CoSe2/PMS system exhibited strong resistance for a broad pH range (3.0-11.0) and various coexisting inorganic ions owing to the advantage of the strong bonding of Co-Se in CoSe2 alloy. Mechanism studies revealed that 1O2 was the only reactive oxygen species in the CoSe2/PMS system. Theoretical calculations demonstrated that Co was the dominant adsorption site for PMS in CoSe2, and the production pathway of 1O2 was PMS* → *OH → *O → 1O2. In addition, it was proved that *OH and *O served as the rate-determining steps for the formation of 1O2 by PMS activation on CoSe2 alloy. These findings provide a rational strategy for preparing a series of low-cost transition metal-based alloy catalysts for PMS activation to achieve high-efficiency 1O2 production in the elimination of organic pollutants.

Abstract
Hydrogels are 3D networks swollen with water. They are biocompatible, strong, and moldable and are emerging as a promising biomedical material for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering to deliver therapeutic genes. The excellent natural extracellular matrix simulation properties of hydrogels enable them to be co-cultured with cells or enhance the expression of viral or non-viral vectors. Its biocompatibility, high strength, and degradation performance also make the action process of carriers in tissues more ideal, making it an ideal biomedical material. It has been shown that hydrogel-based gene delivery technologies have the potential to play therapy-relevant roles in organs such as bone, cartilage, nerve, skin, reproductive organs, and liver in animal experiments and preclinical trials. This paper reviews recent articles on hydrogels in gene delivery and explains the manufacture, applications, developmental timeline, limitations, and future directions of hydrogel-based gene delivery techniques.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients treated with drug-coated balloons (DCB) have the theoretical advantage of adopting a low-intensity antiplatelet regimen due to the absence of struts and polymers. Nevertheless, the optimal antiplatelet strategy for patients undergoing DCB-only treatment remains a topic of debate and has not been investigated in randomized trials. METHODS The REC-CAGEFREE II is an investigator-initiated, prospective, open-label, multi-center, randomized, non-inferiority trial aimed to enroll 1908 patients from ≥ 40 interventional cardiology centers in China to evaluate the non-inferiority of an antiplatelet regimen consisting of Aspirin plus Ticagrelor for one month, followed by five months Ticagrelor monotherapy, and then Aspirin monotherapy for six months (Experimental group) compared to the conventional treatment of Aspirin plus Ticagrelor for 12 months (Reference group) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using paclitaxel-coated balloons (DCB) exclusively. Participants will be randomly assigned to the Experimental or Reference group in a 1:1 ratio. The randomization will be stratified based on the center and the type of lesion being treated (De novo or in-stent restenosis). The primary endpoint is net adverse clinical events (NACE) within 12 months of PCI, which includes the composite of all-cause death, any stroke, any myocardial infarction, any revascularization and Bleeding Academic Research Consortium (BARC) defined type 3 or 5 bleeding. The secondary endpoint, any ischemic and bleeding event, which includes all-cause death, any stroke, MI, BARC-defined type 3 bleeding, any revascularization, and BARC-defined type 2 bleeding events, will be treated as having hierarchical clinical importance in the above order and analyzed using the win ratio method. DISCUSSION The ongoing REC-CAGEFREE II trial aims to assess the efficacy and safety of a low-intensity antiplatelet approach among ACS patients with DCB. Abstract
Background Abnormal anillin (ANLN) expression has been observed in multiple tumours and is closely associated with patient prognosis and clinical features. In this study, we systematically elucidated the clinical significance and biological roles of ANLN in patients with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Methods We obtained transcriptome and clinical data of patients with ccRCC from public databases. Multi-omics data and clinical samples were combined to analyse the correlation between ANLN expression and the clinical characteristics of patients with renal cancer. Additionally, the immune cell landscape of ANLN expression was evaluated using different immune algorithms in the tumour microenvironment. The tumour-promoting potential of ANLN was confirmed using in vitro assays, including CCK8 and Transwell assays. Results Bioinformatics analysis showed that ANLN is over-expressed in patients with ccRCC, as validated by clinical samples. Publicly available clinical data suggest that high ANLN expression may indicate poor outcomes in patients with ccRCC. Moreover, biological function analysis revealed a marked enrichment of the cell cycle and PI3K-Akt pathways. The distribution of immune cells, particularly M2 macrophages, differed in patients with ccRCC. Furthermore, ANLN silencing inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of renal cancer cells in vitro. After ANLN expression was knocked down in 786-O cells, the protein levels of important PI3K signalling pathway components, including PI3K, Akt, and mTOR, drastically decreased. Conclusions These findings suggest that ANLN is dysregulated in renal cancer tissues and promotes tumour progression by activating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway.

Abstract
2D covalent organic frameworks (2D COFs) are attractive candidates for next-generation membranes due to their robust linkages and uniform, tunable pores. Many publications have claimed to achieve selective molecular transport through COF pores, but reported performance metrics for similar networks vary dramatically, and in several cases the reported experiments are inadequate to support such conclusions. These issues require a reevaluation of the literature. Published examples of 2D COF membranes for liquid-phase separations can be broadly divided into two categories, each with common performance characteristics: polycrystalline COF films (most >1 µm thick) and weakly crystalline or amorphous films (most <500 nm thick). Neither category has demonstrated consistent relationships between the designed COF pore structure and separation performance, suggesting that these imperfect materials do not sieve molecules through uniform pores. In this perspective, rigorous practices for evaluating COF membrane structures and separation performance are described, which will facilitate their development toward molecularly precise membranes capable of performing previously unrealized chemical separations. In the absence of this more rigorous standard of proof, reports of COF-based membranes should be treated with skepticism. As methods to control 2D polymerization improve, precise 2D polymer membranes may exhibit exquisite and energy efficient performance relevant for contemporary separation challenges.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to investigate the clinical effect of stainless-steel wire fixation on the early mouth-opening movement of an intracapsular fracture involving the condylar process. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this study, patients who underwent mandibular condylar intracapsular fracture surgery in our hospital from 2012 to 2020 were selected as research subjects. A total of 44 patients received steel wire internal fixation treatment, 32 patients received titanium plate-and-nail rigid internal fixation, and 28 patients underwent conservative non-surgical treatment. RESULTS For the patients in the stainless-steel wire group, the degree of mouth opening reached normal levels of 3.7 cm approximately 10 days after surgery. The recovery time for the patients in the titanium plate-and-nail rigid internal-fixation group was 21 days, while the patients in the conservative treatment group needed 60 days to recover. CONCLUSION The treatment of fixation with a stainless-steel wire for intracapsular condylar fracture reduced the time taken to perform mouth-opening exercises and improved the recovery rate of patients.

Abstract
Objective The interplay between chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 12 (CXCL12) and its specific receptors is known to trigger various signaling pathways, contributing to tumor proliferation and metastasis. Consequently, targeting this signaling axis has emerged as a potential strategy in cancer therapy. However, the precise role of CXCL12 in clinical therapy, especially in immunotherapy for bladder cancer (BCa), remains poorly elucidated. Methods We gathered multiple omics data from public databases to unveil the clinical relevance and tumor immune landscape associated with CXCL12 in BCa patients. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were employed to assess the independent prognostic significance of CXCL12 expression and formulate a nomogram. The expression of CXCL12 in BCa cell lines and clinical tissue samples was validated using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Results While transcriptional expression of CXCL12 exhibited a decrease in nearly all tumor tissues, CXCL12 methylation expression was notably increased in BCa tissues. Single-cell RNA analysis highlighted tissue stem cells and endothelial cells as the primary sources expressing CXCL12. Abnormal CXCL12 expression, based on transcriptional and methylation levels, correlated with various clinical characteristics in BCa patients. Functional analysis indicated enrichment of CXCL12 and its co-expression genes in immune regulation and cell adhesion. The immune landscape analysis unveiled a significant association between CXCL12 expression and M2 macrophages (CD163+ cells) in BCa tissues. Notably, CXCL12 expression emerged as a potential predictor of immunotherapy response and chemotherapy drug sensitivity in BCa patients. Conclusions Taken together, these findings suggest aberrant production of CXCL12 in BCa tissues, potentially influencing the treatment responses of affected individuals.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To identify the risk factors associated with antimicrobial use on the initial acquisition of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) in elderly intensive care unit (ICU) patients.METHODS: Respiratory secretion, blood, urine, anal swab and peritoneal drainage samples from all elderly patients with non-colonised CRKP who had been hospitalised from January 2021 to December 2022 were collected, and screened for CRKP colonisation using surveillance culture at the time of the first ICU admission and weekly thereafter in Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang, China. Cumulative antibiotic variables included duration of antibiotic use, total amount of antimicrobials received in grams, total antibiotic consumption (defined daily dose) and the types of antimicrobial exposure. A time-dependent model based on Cox regression analysis was used to investigate the effect of each variable on the initial acquisition of CRKP infection or colonisation.RESULTS: Of 214 patients, 44 were infected or had CRKP colonies and death rate was 34.1%. males were the risk factor for acquiring CRKP in culture (HR 2.12, 95% CI 1.06-4.21; P = 0.033). It is notable that the hazard of acquiring CRKP increased by 9% with every single-point increase in the APACHE II score (HR 1.09, 95% CI 1.01-1.18; P = 0.025). The hazard of acquiring CRKP doubled when carbapenems were administered (HR 1.81, 95% CI 1.42-2.30; P < 0.001), In contrast, exposure to quinolone antimicrobials had a smaller effect on acquiring CRKP (HR 1.07; 95% CI 1.01-1.14; P = 0.024).CONCLUSION: This study found that male sex, APACHE II score and exposure to quinolones and carbapenems were independent risk factors for acquiring CRKP.

Abstract
It is an appealing approach to CO2 utilization through CO2 electroreduction (CO2 ER) to ethanol at high current density; however, the commonly used Cu-based catalysts cannot sustain large current during CO2 ER despite their capability for ethanol production. Herein, we report that Ag+ -doped InSe nanosheets with Se vacancies can address this grand challenge in a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) electrolyzer. As revealed by our experimental characterization and theoretical calculation, the Ag+ doping, which can tailor the electronic structure of InSe while diversifying catalytically active sites, enables the formation of key reaction intermediates and their sequential evolution into ethanol. More importantly, such a material can well work for large-current conditions in MEA electrolyzers with In2+ species stabilized via electron transfer from Ag to Se. Remarkably, in an MEA electrolyzer by coupling cathodic CO2 ER with anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER), the optimal catalyst exhibits an ethanol Faradaic efficiency of 68.7 % and a partial current density of 186.6 mA cm-2 on the cathode with a full-cell ethanol energy efficiency of 26.1 % at 3.0 V. This work opens an avenue for large-current production of ethanol from CO2 with high selectivity and energy efficiency by rationally designing electrocatalysts.

Abstract
Objective: The kidney disease: improving global outcome (KDIGO) and pediatric reference change value optimized for acute kidney injury (pROCK) criteria were used to evaluate the incidence, stages and mortality of acute kidney injury (AKI). The differences between the 2 criteria were compared for exploring the value of pROCK criteria in diagnosing pediatric AKI and predicting adverse outcomes. Methods: In the multicenter prospective clinical cohort study, we collected general data and clinical data such as serum creatinine values from 1 120 children admitted to 4 PICUs of Children's Hospital of Soochow University, Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital, and Xuzhou Children's Hospital from September 2019 to February 2021. AKI was defined and staged according to the KDIGO and pROCK criteria. The incidence of AKI, the consistency of AKI definite diagnosis and stages, and the mortality in PICU were compared between the 2 groups. The chi-square test or Fisher's exact test was applied for comparison between 2 groups. The Cohen's Kappa and Weighted Kappa analyses were used for evaluating diagnostic consistency. The Cox regression analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between AKI and mortality. Results: A total of 1 120 critically ill children were included, with an age of 33 (10, 84) months. There are 668 boys and 452 girls. The incidence of AKI defined by the KDIGO guideline was higher than that defined by pROCK criteria (27.2%(305/1 120), 14.7%(165/1 120), χ2=52.78, P<0.001). The concordance rates of the 2 criteria for the diagnosis of AKI and AKI staging were 87.0% (κ=0.62) and 79.7% (κ=0.58), respectively. Totally 63 infants with AKI stage 1 defined by the KDIGO guideline were redefined as non-AKI by following the pROCK criteria. The PICU mortality rate of these infants was similar to patients without AKI defined by KDIGO guideline(P=0.761). After adjusting for confounders, AKI defined by KDIGO or pROCK criteria was an independent risk factor of death in PICU (AHR=2.04, 2.73,95%CI 1.27-3.29, 1.74-4.28, both P<0.01), and the risk of death was higher when using the pROCK compared with the KDIGO criteria. As for the KDIGO criteria, mild AKI was not associated with the mortality in PICU (P=0.702), while severe AKI was associated with increased mortality (P<0.001). As for the pROCK criteria, both mild and severe AKI were risk factors of PICU death in children (HR=3.51, 6.70, 95%CI 1.94-6.34, 4.30-10.44, both P<0.001). In addition, The AKI severity was positively associated with the mortality. Conclusions: The AKI incidence and staging varied depending on the used diagnostic criteria. The KDIGO definition is more sensitive, while the pROCK-defined AKI is more strongly associated with high mortality rate.

Abstract
Gastric cancer is one of the deadliest malignant tumors, and half of the patients develop recurrences or metastasis within 5 years after eradication therapy. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are considered to be important in this progress. The sonic hedgehog (SHH) pathway plays an important role in the maintenance of gastric CSCs characteristics. The p63 proteins are vital transcription factors belonging to the p53 family, while their functions in regulating CSCs remain unclear. The preventive effects of dietary diallyl trisulfide (DATS) against human gastric cancer have been verified. However, whether DATS can target gastric CSCs are poorly understood. Here, we investigated the role of ΔNp63/SHH pathway in gastric CSCs and the inhibitory effect of DATS on gastric CSCs via ΔNp63/SHH pathway. We found that ΔNp63 was upregulated in serum-free medium cultured gastric tumorspheres compared with the parental cells. Overexpression of ΔNp63 elevated the self-renewal capacity and CSC markers' levels in gastric sphere-forming cells. Furthermore, we found that ΔNp63 directly bound to the promoter region of Gli1, the key transcriptional factor of SHH pathway, to enhance its expression and to activate SHH pathway. In addition, it was revealed that DATS effectively inhibited gastric CSC properties both in vitro and in vivo settings. Activation of SHH pathway attenuated the suppressive effects of DATS on the stemness of gastric cancer. Moreover, DATS suppression of gastric CSC properties was also diminished by ΔNp63 upregulation through SHH pathway activation. These findings illustrated the role of ΔNp63/SHH pathway in DATS inhibition of gastric cancer stemness. Taken together, the present study suggested for the first time that DATS inhibited gastric CSCs properties by ΔNp63/SHH pathway.

Abstract
Silk fibroin (SF) as a natural biopolymer has become a popular material for biomedical applications due to its minimal immunogenicity, tunable biodegradability, and high biocompatibility. Nowadays, various techniques have been developed for the applications of SF in bioengineering. Most of the literature reviews focus on the SF-based biomaterials and their different forms of applications such as films, hydrogels, and scaffolds. SF is also valuable as a coating on other substrate materials for biomedicine; however, there are few reviews related to SF-coated biomaterials. Thus, in this review, we focused on the surface modification of biomaterials using SF coatings, demonstrated their various preparation methods on substrate materials, and introduced the latest procedures. The diverse applications of SF coatings for biomedicine are discussed, including bone, ligament, skin, mucosa, and nerve regeneration, and dental implant surface modification. SF coating is conducive to inducing cell adhesion and migration, promoting hydroxyapatite (HA) deposition and matrix mineralization, and inhibiting the Notch signaling pathway, making it a promising strategy for bone regeneration. In addition, SF-coated composite scaffolds can be considered prospective candidates for ligament regeneration after injury. SF coating has been proven to enhance the mechanical properties of the substrate material, and render integral stability to the dressing material during the regeneration of skin and mucosa. Moreover, SF coating is a potential strategy to accelerate nerve regeneration due to its dielectric properties, mechanical flexibility, and angiogenesis promotion effect. In addition, SF coating is an effective and popular means for dental implant surface modification to promote osteogenesis around implants made of different materials. Thus, this review can be of great benefit for further improvements in SF-coated biomaterials, and will undoubtedly contribute to clinical transformation in the future.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the association between different types and intensity of physical activities (PA) and periodontitis in a nationally representative sample of adults in the United States. METHODS The data of periodontal condition and PA of 10,714 individuals were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2009 to 2014 and the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ). The association between the prevalence of periodontitis and two PAs (work PA and recreational PA) was respectively analyzed and adjusted by uni- and multi-variable logistic regression models. The odd ratios (ORs), adjusted odd ratios (ORad ), and 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were calculated as the main outcome indicators. RESULTS After adjusted by age, sex, race, poverty-income ratio (PIR), diabetes, smoking status, alcohol use, and floss frequency, moderate and vigorous work PAs were significantly correlated with higher odds of periodontitis (ORad = 1.22, 95% CI = 1.02-1.46; ORad = 1.40, 95% CI = 1.04-1.89, respectively) while moderate and vigorous recreational PAs were correlated with lower odds of periodontitis (ORad = 0.81, 95% CI = 0.69-0.95; ORad = 0.55, 95% CI = 0.43-0.71, respectively). CONCLUSIONS Work PAs and recreational PAs have opposite associations on the prevalence of developing periodontitis and their aggravating or protective associations enhance with the increase of intensity.

Abstract
Measurement has a special role in quantum theory1: by collapsing the wavefunction, it can enable phenomena such as teleportation2 and thereby alter the 'arrow of time' that constrains unitary evolution. When integrated in many-body dynamics, measurements can lead to emergent patterns of quantum information in space-time3-10 that go beyond the established paradigms for characterizing phases, either in or out of equilibrium11-13. For present-day noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) processors14, the experimental realization of such physics can be problematic because of hardware limitations and the stochastic nature of quantum measurement. Here we address these experimental challenges and study measurement-induced quantum information phases on up to 70 superconducting qubits. By leveraging the interchangeability of space and time, we use a duality mapping9,15-17 to avoid mid-circuit measurement and access different manifestations of the underlying phases, from entanglement scaling3,4 to measurement-induced teleportation18. We obtain finite-sized signatures of a phase transition with a decoding protocol that correlates the experimental measurement with classical simulation data. The phases display remarkably different sensitivity to noise, and we use this disparity to turn an inherent hardware limitation into a useful diagnostic. Our work demonstrates an approach to realizing measurement-induced physics at scales that are at the limits of current NISQ processors.

Abstract
The long-term success rate of dental implants can be improved by establishing a favorable biological sealing with a high-quality epithelial attachment. The application of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) holds promise for facilitating the soft tissue integration around implants, but the molecular mechanism is still unclear and the general application of MSC sheet for soft tissue integration is also relatively unexplored. We found that gingival tissue-derived MSC (GMSC) sheet treatment significantly promoted the expression of hemidesmosome (HD)-related genes and proteins in gingival epithelial cells (GECs). The formation of HDs played a key role in strengthening peri-implant epithelium (PIE) sealing. Further, high-throughput transcriptome sequencing showed that GMSC sheet significantly upregulated the PI3K/AKT pathway, confirming that cell adhesion and HD expression in GECs were regulated by GMSC sheet. We observed that the expression of transcription factor CREB3L2 in GECs was downregulated. After treatment with PI3K pathway inhibitor LY294002, CREB3L2 messenger RNA and protein expression levels were upregulated. Further experiments showed that overexpression or knockdown of CREB3L2 could significantly inhibit or promote HD-related genes and proteins, respectively. We confirmed that CREB3L2 was a transcription factor downstream of the PI3K/AKT pathway and participated in the formation of HDs regulated by GMSC sheet. Finally, through the establishment of early implant placement model in rats, we clarified the molecular function of CREB3L2 in PIE sealing as a mechanical transmission molecule in GECs. The application of GMSC sheet-implant complex could enhance the formation of HDs at the implant-PIE interface and decrease the penetration distance of horseradish peroxidase between the implant and PIE. Meanwhile, GMSC sheet reduced the length of CREB3L2 protein expression on PIE. These findings elucidate the potential function and molecular mechanism of MSC sheet regulating the epithelial sealing around implants, providing new insights and ideas for the application of stem cell therapy in regenerative medicine.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Proton-acoustic (PA) image has shown great potential to provide real-time 3D dose verification of proton therapy. However, the PA image quality suffers from severe limited view artifacts, which significantly impairs its accuracy for dose verification. In this study, we developed a hybrid-supervised deep learning method for PA reconstruction to address the limited-view issues. MATERIALS/METHODS Our method consists of two stages. In the first stage, a transformer-based network was proposed to reconstruct initial pressure maps from protoacoustic signals. The network was first trained using supervision by the iteratively reconstructed pressure map and then fine-tuned using transfer learning and self-supervision based on the data fidelity constraint. In the second stage, the PA image was further enhanced by a 3D U-net. The final PA images were converted to dose maps using conversion coefficients derived from CT images. Data from 126 prostate cancer patients treated by proton therapy were collected under an IRB protocol and were split into 86 and 40 patients for model training and testing, respectively. Data of each patient contains the planning CT scan, the corresponding clinical treatment plan, and the dose map calculated by commercial software. The radiofrequency signals were generated by performing proton acoustic simulation based on CT images and the ground truth pressure map derived from the treatment plan. An ultrasound detector matrix with 64 × 64 size and 500kHz central frequency was simulated under the perineum to acquire the signals in the prostate area. In the testing results, the method's accuracy was evaluated using Root-mean-squared-error (RMSE) and structural-similarity-index-measure (SSIM) between the reconstructed and ground truth pressure map and dose distribution. RESULTS Testing results showed that the reconstructed pressure map achieved an average RMSE/SSIM of 0.0292/0.96, demonstrating excellent 3D information with details. Dose maps derived from the pressure map achieved an average RMSE/SSIM of 0.018/0.99 with a gamma index of 94.7% and 95.7% for 1%/3 mm and 1%/5 mm criteria compared to the ground truth dose maps. The reconstruction time was 6s, which can be further reduced using GPU. CONCLUSION Our study achieves start-of-the-art performance in the challenging task of direct reconstruction from limited-view radiofrequency signals, demonstrating the great promise of PA imaging as a highly efficient and accurate tool for in-vivo 3D proton dose verification. Such high-precision 3D online dose verification can substantially reduce the range uncertainties of proton therapy to significantly improve its precision and outcomes.

Abstract
Autologous materials have superior biosafety and are widely used in clinical practice. Due to its excellent trauma-healing ability, the hard palate mucosa (HPM) has become a hot spot for autologous donor area research. Multiple studies have conducted an in-depth analysis of the healing ability of the HPM at the cellular and molecular levels. In addition, the HPM has good maneuverability as a donor area for soft tissue grafts, and researchers have isolated various specific mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from HPM. Free soft tissue grafts obtained from the HPM have been widely used in the clinic and have played an essential role in dentistry, eyelid reconstruction, and the repair of other specific soft tissue defects. This article reviews the advantages of HPM as a donor area and its related mechanisms, classes of HPM-derived biomaterials, the current status of clinical applications, challenges, and future development directions.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Traditional methods of radiotherapy positioning have shortcomings such as fragile skin-markers, additional doses and lack of information integration. Emerging technologies may provide alternatives for the relevant clinical practice. We proposed a noninvasive radiotherapy positioning method integrating augmented reality (AR) and optical surface, and evaluated its feasibility in clinical workflow. MATERIALS/METHODS AR and structured light-based surface were integrated to implement the coarse-to-precise positioning through two coherent steps, i) the AR-based coarse guidance. To implement quality assurance, recognition of face and pattern was used for patient authentication, case association and accessory validation in AR scenes. The holographic images reconstructed from simulation computed tomography (CT) images, guided the initial posture correction by virtual-real alignment. ii) optical surface-based precise verification. The point clouds were fused, with the calibration and pose estimation of structured light cameras, and segmented according to the preset regions of interest (ROIs). The global-to-local registration for cross-source point clouds was achieved to calculate couch shifts in 6 degrees-of-freedom (DoF), which were ultimately transmitted to AR scenes. The evaluation based on phantom and human-body (4 volunteers) included, i) quality assurance workflow, ii) errors of both steps and correlation analysis, and iii) receiver operating characteristic (ROC). RESULTS The maximum errors in phantom evaluation were 3.4±2.5 mm in Vrt and 1.4±1.0° in Pitch for the coarse guidance step, while 1.6±0.9 mm in Vrt and 0.6±0.4° in Pitch for the precise verification step. The Pearson correlation coefficients between precise verification and cone beam CT (CBCT) results were distributed in the interval [0.81, 0.85]. In ROC analysis, the areas under the curve (AUC) were 0.87 and 0.89 for translation and rotation respectively. In human body-based evaluation, the errors of thorax and abdomen (T&A) were significantly greater than those of head and neck (H&N) in Vrt (2.6±1.3 vs. 1.7±1.1, p<0.01), Lng (2.4±1.3 vs. 1.4±0.1, p<0.01) and Rtn (0.8±0.5 vs. 0.6±0.4, p = 0.03) while relatively similar in Lat (1.7±1.0 vs. 1.9±1.1, p = 0.13). CONCLUSION The combination of AR and optical surface has utility and feasibility for patient positioning, in terms of both safety and accuracy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a malignant tumour that may develop in the kidney. RCC is one of the most common kinds of tumours of this sort, and its most common pathological subtype is kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC). However, the aetiology and pathogenesis of RCC still need to be clarified. Exploring the internal mechanism of RCC contributes to diagnosing and treating this disease. Pyroptosis is a critical process related to cell death. Recent research has shown that pyroptosis is a critical factor in the initiation and progression of tumour formation. Thus far, researchers have progressively uncovered evidence of the regulatory influence that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have on pyroptosis. METHODS In this work, a comprehensive bioinformatics approach was used to produce a predictive model according to pyroptosis-interrelated lncRNAs for the purpose of predicting the overall survival and molecular immune specialties of patients diagnosed with KIRC. This model was verified from multiple perspectives. RESULTS First, we discovered pyroptosis-associated lncRNAs in KIRC patients using the TCGA database and a Sankey diagram. Then, we developed and validated a KIRC patient risk model based on pyroptosis-related lncRNAs. We demonstrated the grouping power of PLnRM through PCA and used PLnRM to assess the tumour immune microenvironment and response to immunotherapy. Immunological and molecular traits of diverse PLnRM subgroups were evaluated, as were clinical KIRC patient characteristics and predictive risk models. On this basis, a predictive nomogram was developed and analyzed, and novel PLnRM candidate compounds were identified. Finally, we investigated possible medications used by KIRC patients. CONCLUSIONS The results demonstrate that the model generated has significant value for KIRC in clinical practice.

Abstract
Background Duplication of the transverse colon is a rare gastrointestinal malformation. Its pathogenesis is still unclear, and it is extremely rare in adults. Patients often present with symptoms of tumor compression such as abdominal mass, abdominal pain, and constipation as the first manifestation. Methods and result A patient with a duplication of the transverse colon was admitted to the Department of General Surgery of our hospital. Laparoscopic exploration found a mass at the rear of the transverse colon near the splenic flexure, and the root was connected to the middle portion of the transverse colon. Conclusion Surgery is a radical treatment and reduces the possibility of perforation, bleeding, obstruction, and cancer.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of an anti-rabies monoclonal antibody (mAb), ormutivimab, compared with human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG). METHODS This phase III trial was designed as a randomized, double-blind, non-inferiority clinical trial in patients aged ≥18 years with suspected World Health Organization category Ⅲ rabies exposure. The participants were randomized 1:1 to ormutivimab and HRIG groups. After thorough wound washing and injection of ormutivimab/HRIG on day 0, the vaccination was administered on days 0, 3, 7, 14, and 28. The primary endpoint was the adjusted geometric mean concentration (GMC) of rabies virus-neutralizing activity (RVNA) on day 7. The endpoint of safety included the occurrence of adverse reactions and serious adverse events. RESULTS A total of 720 participants were recruited. The adjusted-GMC of RVNA (0.41 IU/ml) on day 7 in ormutivimab group was not inferior to that in the HRIG group (0.41 IU/ml), with ratio of adjusted-GMC of 1.01 (95% confidence interval: 0.91, 1.14). The seroconversion rate of the ormutivimab group was higher than that of the HRIG group on days 7, 14, and 42. Most local injection sites and systemic adverse reactions reported from both groups were mild to moderate in severity. CONCLUSION ormutivimab + vaccine can protect victims aged ≥18 years with category Ⅲ suspected rabies exposure as a component of postexposure prophylaxis. ormutivimab has a weaker influence on the immunity response of rabies vaccines. Abstract
The synthesis of macrocyclic compounds with different sizes and linkages remains a great challenge via transition metal-catalysed intramolecular C-H activation. Herein, we disclose an efficient macrocyclization strategy via Pd-catalysed remote meta-C-H olefination using a practical indolyl template. This approach was successfully employed to access macrolides and coumarins. In addition, the intermolecular meta-C-H olefination also worked well and was exemplified by the synthesis of antitumor drug belinostat from inexpensive and readily available benzenesulfonyl chloride. Notably, catalytic copper acetate and molecular oxygen were used in place of silver salts as oxidants. Furthermore, for the first time, the formation of a macrocyclophane cyclopalladated intermediate was detected through in situ Fourier-transform infrared monitoring experiments and ESI-MS.

Abstract
Atractylodis rhizoma (AR) is an herb and food source with great economic, medicinal, and ecological value. Atractylodes chinensis (DC.) Koidz. (AC) and Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. (AL) are its two botanical sources. The commercial fraud of AR adulterated with Atractylodes japonica Koidz. ex Kitam (AJ) frequently occurs in pursuit of higher profit. To quickly determine the content of adulteration in AC and AL powder, two spectroscopic techniques, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and hyperspectral imaging (HSI), were introduced. The partial least squares regression (PLSR) algorithm was selected for predictive modeling of AR adulteration levels. Preprocessing and feature variable extraction were used to optimize the prediction model. Then data and image feature fusions were developed to obtain the best predictive model. The results showed that if only single-spectral techniques were considered, NIRS was more suitable for both tasks than HSI techniques. In addition, by comparing the models built after the data fusion of NIRS and HSI with those built by the single spectrum, we found that the mid-level fusion strategy obtained the best models in both tasks. On this basis, combined with the color-texture features, the prediction ability of the model was further optimized. Among them, for the adulteration level prediction task of AC, the best strategy was combining MLF data (at CARS level) and color-texture features (C-TF), at which time the R2T, RMSET, R2P, and RMSEP were 99.85%, 1.25%, 98.61%, and 5.06%, respectively. For AL, the best approach was combining MLF data (at SPA level) and C-TF, with the highest R2T (99.92%) and R2P (99.00%), as well as the lowest RMSET (1.16%) and RMSEP (2.16%). Therefore, combining data and image features from NIRS and HSI is a potential strategy to predict the adulteration content quickly, non-destructively, and accurately.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Colon cancer remains one of the most prevalent cancers worldwide. Unfortunately, there are no recognized and effective therapeutic strategies to prevent tumor recurrence after radical resection and chemotherapy, and the disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with stage IIIB or IIIC disease remains unsatisfactory. Xian-Lian-Jie-Du optimization decoction (XLJDOD) is a Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) empirical prescription, which has been validated experimentally and clinically that could inhibit the progression of colorectal cancer and ameliorate the symptoms. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of XLJDOD in prevention of recurrence of colon cancer. METHODS This study is a multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial conducted at 13 hospitals of China. Following the completion of surgery and adjuvant 5- fluorouracil-based chemotherapy, a total of 730 subjects with stage IIIB or IIIC colon cancer will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to an intervention group (n = 365; XLJDOD compound granule) and a control group (n = 365; Placebo). Patients will receive 6-month treatments and be followed up with 3 monthly assessments for 2 years. The primary outcome is 2-year DFS rate and the secondary outcomes are 1, 2-year relapse rate (RR), overall survival (OS) and quality of life (QoL). Safety outcomes such as adverse events will be also assessed. A small number of subgroup analysis will be carried out to explore the heterogeneity of effects of XLJDOD. DISCUSSION The outcomes from this randomized controlled trial will provide objective evidences to evaluate XLJDOD's role as an adjuvant treatment in colon cancer. TRIAL REGISTRATION www. Abstract
OBJECTIVES Recent studies reported that evidence of the association between caries and vitamin D was inconclusive. We investigated the relationship between dental caries and serum vitamin D levels in US children and youth aged 5-19 years through the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The purpose of this study was to analyze the relations between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin-D [25(OH)D] level and dental caries in children and youth. METHODS Data were collected from the NHANES dataset performed in 2011-2018. A total of 8896 subjects completed the examination was enrolled. Serum 25(OH)D was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). All teeth examined and caries assessment was conducted by licensed dentists. Statistical analyses included complex samples Chi-square tests, analysis of variance, logistic regression analyses, and restricted cubic splines conducted by R software. RESULTS There was a nonlinear relation between dental caries and age in youth. Vitamin D showed a relatively stable protective effect when the concentration exceeded 60 nmol/L. There was a dose-effect relation that a 10 nmol/L increase in serum 25(OH)D concentrations was associated with a decreased caries odd by 10%. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggested that vitamin D sufficiency may be a protective factor for dental caries.

Abstract
The pores and coarse lamellar Mg17Al12 that inevitably occur in the weld zone are the major challenge for laser-welded magnesium (Mg) alloys including AZ31B. In order to improve microstructure uniformity and eliminate welding defects, a new process assisted with combination of heat and cryogenic treatment was applied in this study. The results showed that after solution treatment, the number and size of precipitates decreased and the uniformity of the microstructure improved. After cryogenic treatment, the lamellar Mg17Al12 was cracked into particles, and the grain size was refined. After solution + cryogenic treatment, Al8Mn5 substituted the lamellar Mg17Al12. Through studying the changes in microhardness, precipitates, and microstructure under different treatments, it was found that the conversation of Mg17Al12 from lamellar state into particle-like state as well as the appearance of dispersed Al8Mn5 particles played a second-phase strengthening role in improving the mechanical properties of Mg alloy laser-welded joint, and the tensile strength (258.60 MPa) and elongation (10.90%) of the sample were 4.4% and 32.6% higher than those of the as-welded joint.

Abstract
Objective: To clarify the mechanisms involvement in Alisertib-resistant colorectal cells and explore a potential target to overcome Alisertib-resistance. Methods: Drug-resistant colon cancer cell line (named as HCT-8-7T cells) was established and transplanted into immunodeficient mice. The metastasis in vivo were observed. Proliferation and migration of HCT-8-7T cells and their parental cells were assessed by colony formation and Transwell assay, respectively. Glycolytic capacity and glutamine metabolism of cells were analyzed by metabolism assays. The protein and mRNA levels of critical factors which are involved in mediating glycolysis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) were examined by western blot and reverse transcription-quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR), respectively. Results: In comparison with the mice transplanted with HCT-8 cells, which were survival with limited metastatic tumor cells in organs, aggressive metastases were observed in liver, lung, kidney and ovary of HCT-8-7T transplanted mice (P<0.05). The levels of ATP [(0.10±0.01) mmol/L], glycolysis [(81.77±8.21) mpH/min] and the capacity of glycolysis [(55.50±3.48) mpH/min] in HCT-8-7T cells were higher than those of HCT-8 cells [(0.04±0.01) mmol/L, (27.77±2.55) mpH/min and(14.00±1.19) mpH/min, respectively, P<0.05]. Meanwhile, the levels of p53 protein and mRNA in HCT-8-7T cells were potently decreased as compared to that in HCT-8 cells (P<0.05). However, the level of miRNA-125b (2.21±0.12) in HCT-8-7T cells was significantly elevated as compared to that in HCT-8 cells (1.00±0.00, P<0.001). In HCT-8-7T cells, forced-expression of p53 reduced the colon number (162.00±24.00) and the migration [(18.53±5.67)%] as compared with those in cells transfected with control vector [274.70±40.50 and (100.00±29.06)%, P<0.05, respectively]. Similarly, miR-125b mimic decreased the glycolysis [(25.28±9.51) mpH/min] in HCT-8-7T cells as compared with that [(54.38±12.70)mpH/min, P=0.003] in HCT-8-7T cells transfected with control. Meanwhile, in comparison with control transfected HCT-8-7T cells, miR-125b mimic also significantly led to an increase in the levels of p53 and β-catenin, in parallel with a decrease in the levels of PFK1 and HK1 in HCT-8-7T cells (P<0.05). Conclusions: Silencing of p53 by miR-125b could be one of the mechanisms that contributes to Alisertib resistance. Targeting miR-125b could be a strategy to overcome Alisertib resistance.

Abstract
Indistinguishability of particles is a fundamental principle of quantum mechanics1. For all elementary and quasiparticles observed to date-including fermions, bosons and Abelian anyons-this principle guarantees that the braiding of identical particles leaves the system unchanged2,3. However, in two spatial dimensions, an intriguing possibility exists: braiding of non-Abelian anyons causes rotations in a space of topologically degenerate wavefunctions4-8. Hence, it can change the observables of the system without violating the principle of indistinguishability. Despite the well-developed mathematical description of non-Abelian anyons and numerous theoretical proposals9-22, the experimental observation of their exchange statistics has remained elusive for decades. Controllable many-body quantum states generated on quantum processors offer another path for exploring these fundamental phenomena. Whereas efforts on conventional solid-state platforms typically involve Hamiltonian dynamics of quasiparticles, superconducting quantum processors allow for directly manipulating the many-body wavefunction by means of unitary gates. Building on predictions that stabilizer codes can host projective non-Abelian Ising anyons9,10, we implement a generalized stabilizer code and unitary protocol23 to create and braid them. This allows us to experimentally verify the fusion rules of the anyons and braid them to realize their statistics. We then study the prospect of using the anyons for quantum computation and use braiding to create an entangled state of anyons encoding three logical qubits. Our work provides new insights about non-Abelian braiding and, through the future inclusion of error correction to achieve topological protection, could open a path towards fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of patients who underwent three-port laparoscopic radical cystectomy (LRC) with orthotopic neobladder (ONB) and traditional five-port method. METHODS From January 2017 to November 2020, 100 patients underwent LRC + ONB at a third-level grade A hospital. RESULTS Our study included 55 patients who underwent three-port LRC and 45 patients who underwent the five-port method. There were no significant differences in perioperative data such as operation time (253.00 ± 43.89 vs. 259.07 ± 52.31 min, P = 0.530), estimated blood loss (EBL)(97.64 ± 59.44 vs. 106.67 ± 55.35 min, P = 0.438), day to flatus (2.25 ± 1.49 vs. 2.76 ± 1.77 days, P = 0.128), day to regular diet (7.07 ± 2.99 vs. 7.96 ± 3.32 days, P = 0.165), day to pelvic drain removal (9.58 ± 3.25 vs. 10.53 ± 3.80 days, P = 0.180), and hospital stay after operation (11.62 ± 3.72 vs. 11.84 ± 4.37 days, P = 0.780) between the two groups. The only significant difference was in the treatment cost (P = 0.035). Similarly, postoperative complications, quality of life, and tumor outcomes were not significantly different between the two groups (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The three-port method is safe and feasible for patients suitable for traditional five-port LRC with an orthotopic neobladder.
