Abstract
In aquatic ecosystems, dissolved organic matter (DOM) plays a vital role in microbial communities and the biogeochemical cycling of elements. However, little is known about the associations between DOM and microbial communities in lake sediments. This study investigated the composition of water-extractable organic matter and microbial communities in surface sediments of lakes with different salinities on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Ultrahigh-resolution mass spectrometry and high-throughput microbial sequencing techniques were employed to assess the associations between molecular diversity and microbial diversity and the effects of salinity in 19 lakes spanning a salinity range from 0.22 ‰ to 341.87 ‰. Our results show that increasing salinity of lake water led to higher molecular diversity of DOM in surface sediments. High-salinity lakes exhibited distinct DOM characteristics, such as lower aromaticity, smaller molecular weight, and higher oxidation degree, compared to freshwater lakes. The complexity of the microbial network composition of sediments first increased and then decreased with the increase of salinity. Moreover, as salinity increases, the dominant species transitioned from Gammaproteobacteria to Bacteroidia, and this transition was accompanied by a decrease in microbial diversity and an increase in molecular diversity. Microbial factors accounted for 34.68 % of the variation in the molecular composition of DOM. Overall, this study emphasizes the significant effects of salinity on both molecular and microbial diversity in lake sediments. Furthermore, our findings underscore the importance of microbes in controlling the range of organic compounds present in lakes and deepen our knowledge of the biogeochemical cycling of DOM.

Abstract
In order to achieve the tunable unidirectional reflection amplification in a uniform atomic medium that is of vital importance to design high-quality nonreciprocal photonic devices, we propose a coherent closed three-level Δ-type atomic system by applying a microwave field, and a strong coupling field of linear variation along the x direction to control a probe field. In our scheme, the linearly increased coupling field destroys the spatial symmetry of probe susceptibility and effectively suppresses the reflection of one side; the microwave field constructs closed loop transitions to amplify the probe field and causes phase changes. The numerical simulation indicates that the unidirectional reflection amplification is sensitive to the relative phase ϕ and the coupling detuning Δc. Our results will open a new route toward harnessing optical non-reciprocity, which can provide more convenience and possibilities in the experimental realization.

Abstract
Influenza virus infection is a worldwide challenge that causes heavy burdens on public health. The mortality rate of severe influenza patients is often associated with hyperactive immunological abnormalities characterized by hypercytokinemia. Due to the continuous mutations and the occurrence of drug-resistant influenza virus strains, the development of host-directed immunoregulatory drugs is urgently required. Platycodon grandiflorum is among the top 10 herbs of traditional Chinese medicine used to treat pulmonary diseases. As one of the major terpenoid saponins extracted from Platycodon grandiflorum, Platycodin D (PD) has been reported to play several roles, including anti-inflammation, analgesia, anti-cancer, hepatoprotection, and immunoregulation. However, the therapeutic roles of PD to treat influenza virus infection remains unknown. Here, we show that PD can protect the body weight loss in severely infected influenza mice, alleviate lung damage, and thus improve the survival rate. More specifically, PD protects flu mice via decreasing the immune cell infiltration into lungs and downregulating the overactivated inflammatory response. Western blot and immunofluorescence assays exhibited that PD could inhibit the activation of TAK1/IKK/NF-κB and MAPK pathways. Besides that, CETSA, SPR and immunoprecipitation assays indicated that PD binds with TRAF6 to decrease its K63 ubiquitination after R837 stimulation. Additionally, siRNA interference experiments exhibited that PD could inhibit the secretion of IL-1β and TNF-α in TRAF6-dependent manner. Altogether, our results suggested that PD is a promising drug candidate for treating influenza. Our study also offered a scientific explanation for the commonly used Platycodon grandiflorum in many anti-epidemic classic formulas. Due to its host-directed regulatory role, PD may serve as an adjuvant therapeutic drug in conjunction with other antiviral drugs to treat the flu.

Abstract
CMTM6, a regulator of PD-L1 stability, has been implicated in the development of various cancers. However, the expression and role of CMTM6 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains controversial. Our study revealed a negative correlation between CMTM6 expression and HCC prognosis through bioinformatics analysis and immunofluorescence staining. CMTM6 expression was also positively associated with alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels, supporting its potential as a prognostic marker for HCC. Using Cmtm6 knockout mice, we found that Cmtm6 deficiency inhibited HCC formation and cell proliferation in primary liver cancer models induced by DEN and DEN/CCl4. In HCC cell lines, CMTM6 promoted cell proliferation and interacted with β-catenin, stabilizing it by preventing ubiquitination. In conclusion, our study suggested that CMTM6 upregulation promotes HCC cell proliferation through the β-catenin pathway, making it a potential therapeutic target for HCC treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the spatial-temporal epidemiological characteristics of pertussis from 2013 to 2022 in Hebei Province and to provide a reference for improving prevention and control measures. Methods: Based on the data of pertussis reported in Hebei Province during 2013-2022 to analyze the popular characteristic, the ArcGIS 10.8 software was used to construct a ring map and to perform spatial autocorrelation analysis; the SaTScan 10.1 software was used for spatial-temporal scan statistics. Results: There were 6 715 cases of the cumulative report in Hebei Province from 2013 to 2022 without death. The annual report incidence was 0.90/100 000. The overall incidence rate showed an upward trend from 2013 to 2019, and during 2020-2021, it showed a sharp decline, but in 2022, it showed a sharp increase. Summer and autumn are the peak seasons of the epidemic. The incidence was highest in age group <1 year (48.67%), and the lowest age group in age group ≥15 years (0.45%) and mainly scattered children (78.03%); the incidence about men is higher than women. Spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the onset of pertussis has spatial clustering, and high-high clusters were found in Langfang, Baoding, and Cangzhou, the top three countries with reported incidence. The area covered by a low-low cluster was consistent with the distribution of the corresponding low-incidence areas in this study. Space-time scan detects five statistically significant areas, and three zones were concentrated in 2022. Conclusions: The incidence of pertussis in Hebei had obvious season, population, and area-specific differences. There was obvious spatiotemporal and clustering, so the control of key areas should target the characteristics of time and space.

Abstract
In this study, biochars (BCs) derived from corn stalk treated at various pyrolysis temperatures (350-950 °C) were prepared and then loaded with Cu2+ to form highly efficient algaecide, i.e. Cu2+-doped BC composites (Cu-BCs). The results showed BCs pyrolyzed at higher temperatures suppressed the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa in the order of BC550 ≫ BC750 > BC950, while BC350 accelerated cell growth due to the release of inorganic nutrients. The difference could be attributed to the physicochemical characteristics, including specific surface area, adsorption capacity of nutrients and the presence of particularly persistent free radicals. Furthermore, Cu-BCs exhibited the improved inactivation performance, but the 72 h growth inhibition rates and reaction activities of Cu-BCs were still influenced by the Cu2+ loading ratio and pyrolysis temperature. These results, reported for the first time, demonstrated the algae inactivation efficiency of pristine BCs, and Cu-BCs were principally manipulated by the biochar pyrolysis temperature.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Endometriosis (EM) greatly affects women's reproductive health, identifying new drug targets for EM is urgently needed. This study utilizes comprehensive genome-wide Mendelian randomization (MR) and colocalization analyses, using genomic data, to identify potential therapeutic approaches for EM. METHODS Genome-wide cis-expression quantitative trait loci (cis-eQTL) data were obtained from GTEx V8, which included 838 participants across 49 tissues or cells, and the eQTLGen consortium, which included 31,684 participants. Genome-wide association analysis (GWAS) data for EM were sourced from the FinnGen study, which consisted of 8,288 cases and 68,969 controls, as well as the UK Biobank study, which included 1,496 cases and 359,698 controls. This study utilized MR analysis to assess the correlation between genes and the risk of EM. Subsequently, colocalization analysis was conducted to investigate potential shared causal variants between the identified genes and EM. RESULTS After conducting MR and colocalization analyses, we identified a total of 13 genes that showed significant evidence of colocalization. These genes are considered promising therapeutic candidates for treating EM. Among them, inner membrane mitochondrial protein (IMMT), src kinase associated phosphoprotein 1 (SKAP1), lysine methyltransferase 5A (KMT5A), KLF transcription factor 12 (KLF12), GRB10 interacting GYF protein 1 (GIGYF1), Wnt family member 7A (WNT7A), Sad1 and UNC84 domain containing 1 (SUN1), and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase family member 3 (PARP3) were found to have positive associations with the risk of EM. On the other hand, progestin and adipoQ receptor family member 8 (PAQR8), adaptor related protein complex 3 subunit mu 1 (AP3M1), surfeit 6 (SURF6), TUB bipartite transcription factor (TUB), and DNA polymerase delta interacting protein 2 (POLDIP2) were found to have inverse relationships with the risk of EM. CONCLUSIONS Through genome-wide MR studies, a comprehensive set of genes associated with EM has been identified. Among them, IMMT, PAQR8, SKAP1, KMT5A, AP3M1, SURF6, KLF12, GIGYF1, TUB, WNT7A, SUN1, POLDIP2, and PARP3 show potential as therapeutic targets for EM treatment. Nonetheless, it is crucial to conduct further rigorous investigations to validate these prospects.

Abstract
The simultaneous evolution of multiple aptamers can drastically increase the speed of aptamer discovery. Most previous studies used the same concentration for different targets, leading to the dominance of the libraries by one or a few aptamers and a low success rate. To foster the best aptamers to grow independently in the sequence space, it is important to (1) use low target concentrations close to their dissociation constants and (2) stop at an early round before any sequence starts to dominate. In this study, we demonstrate this affinity-guided selection concept using the capture-SELEX method to isolate aptamers for four important purines: guanine (5 μM), xanthine (50 μM), hypoxanthine (10 μM), and adenine (10 μM). The round 9 library was split, and in round 10, the four targets were individually used to elute the binding sequences. Using thioflavin T fluorescence spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry, we confirmed highly selective aptamers for xanthine, guanine, and adenine. These aptamers have Kd values below 1 μM and around 100-fold selectivity against most competing analytes, and they compare favorably with existing RNA aptamers and riboswitches. A separate selection was performed using hypoxanthine alone, and no selective aptamer was achieved, even with negative selection, explaining the lack of its aptamer in our mixed selection. This affinity-guided multiplex SELEX study offers fundamental insights into aptamer selection and provides high-quality aptamers for three important purines.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Infertility affects many couples globally, causing physical, emotional, and financial burdens. While observational studies suggest a link between psychiatric disorders and female infertility, causal relationships remain uncertain. Mendelian randomization analysis, using genome-wide association studies data, minimizes confounding factors and reverse causation, providing valuable insights into causal associations. METHODS We conducted Mendelian randomization analysis to explore the potential causal relationship between female infertility and psychiatric disorders. Genome-wide association studies summary data for female infertility (112,105 individuals of European ancestry, comprising 11,442 cases and 100,663 controls), depression (807,553 individuals of European ancestry, comprising 246,363 cases and 561,190 controls), anxiety (21,763 individuals of European ancestry, comprising 7,016 cases and 14,745 controls), bipolar disorder (51,710 individuals of European ancestry, comprising 20,352 cases and 31,358 controls), and eating disorders (72,517 individuals of European ancestry, comprising 16,992 cases and 55,525 controls) were utilized. Instrumental variables were selected based on significant single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with each phenotype. We assessed instrumental variable strength, examined confounding factors, and employed inverse variance weighting, weighted median, and MR-Egger approaches for analysis. RESULTS Our analysis included 85 single nucleotide polymorphisms for female infertility and 62 single nucleotide polymorphisms for psychiatric disorders. Results suggest a potential causal relationship between depression and female infertility, with both inverse variance weighting and weighted median methods showing increased infertility risk in depressed patients. Evidence is weak regarding bipolar disorder not increasing female infertility risk. We found no evidence supporting causal links between anxiety, eating disorders, and female infertility. Similarly, no causal relationship was found between female infertility and psychiatric disorders in the opposite direction. Sensitivity analyses and tests for heterogeneity and polymorphism supported result robustness. CONCLUSIONS This analysis provides evidence for a potential causal relationship between depression and female infertility. Addressing depression in infertile women may improve fertility outcomes. Further research is needed to explore underlying mechanisms and potential interventions for improving fertility outcomes in women with psychiatric disorders.

Abstract
Harmful cyanobacterial blooms in eutrophic water bodies have frequently occurred worldwide and become a major environmental concern. Therefore, it is imperative to develop a stable and efficient algaecide to solve this issue. In this study, our purpose was to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of a newly developed Cu2+ doped Fe3O4@Biochar magnetic composite (Cu-Mag-BC) in in-situ inactivation of Microcystis aeruginosa (M. aeruginosa). We successfully synthesized the Cu-Mag-BC by coating Cu2+ onto Fe3O4@Biochar. Cu-Mag-BC exhibited superparamagnetic behavior and was uniformly impregnated by Cu2+. Cu-Mag-BC (5 mg/L), rapidly inactivated chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) in M. aeruginosa with low Fe and Cu leaching, during which time the OD264 value and malondialdehyde (MDA) content increased, while the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) first increased and then decreased, due to oxidative stress induced by over-generated reactive oxygen species (ROS). Quantitative results showed that ·O2- and ·OH were the main ROS species produced from Cu-Mag-BC. Inactivation efficiency was maintained at approximately 80 % after three consecutive runs and total Chl-a removal efficiency reached 2.84 g/g, indicating good reusability and stability. A possible inactivation mechanism is proposed; amino groups and adipose chain were the primary oxidation sites. Thus, Cu-Mag-BC shows potential as a candidate for simultaneously inactivating harmful cyanobacteria and preventing secondary pollution.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) for the treatment of primary myelofibrosis (PMF) patients. Methods: A total of 14 cases of PMF who underwent allo-HSCT from December 2008 to December 2022 were analyzed retrospectively, including 8 males and 6 females with a median age [M(Q1, Q3)]of 36 (24, 42) years. Three-year overall survival (OS), disease free survival (DFS), cumulative incidence of relapse (CIR), transplantation-related mortality (TRM) were analyzed. Meanwhile, the complications were followed up by telephone and outpatient appointments for 49.6 (9.0,93.1) months. Results: All patients received myeloablative conditioning regimens (MAC). All patients had successful engraftment, and the median time of neutrophils and platelet engraftment were 13.5 (11.8, 18.0) days and 19.5 (13.5, 24.5) days, respectively. Ⅱ-Ⅳ acute graft versus host disease (GVHD) occurred in 3 cases, while chronic GVHD in 8 cases. The rate of 3-year OS,DFS,CIR and TRM were (92.9±6.9)%, (76.0±12.2)%, (38.6±2.7)% and (7.1±0.5)% respectively after a median follow-up time of 1 489.0 (270.3,2 794.8) days. Two patients died from treatment-related complications, one of which died 39 days after transplantation due to heart failure caused by severe anemia, the other patient died 6 years after relapse due to pulmonary infection. Conclusion: Allo-HSCT can be used as a safe and effective approach to treat PMF.

Abstract
Open international challenges are becoming the de facto standard for assessing computer vision and image analysis algorithms. In recent years, new methods have extended the reach of pulmonary airway segmentation that is closer to the limit of image resolution. Since EXACT'09 pulmonary airway segmentation, limited effort has been directed to the quantitative comparison of newly emerged algorithms driven by the maturity of deep learning based approaches and extensive clinical efforts for resolving finer details of distal airways for early intervention of pulmonary diseases. Thus far, public annotated datasets are extremely limited, hindering the development of data-driven methods and detailed performance evaluation of new algorithms. To provide a benchmark for the medical imaging community, we organized the Multi-site, Multi-domain Airway Tree Modeling (ATM'22), which was held as an official challenge event during the MICCAI 2022 conference. ATM'22 provides large-scale CT scans with detailed pulmonary airway annotation, including 500 CT scans (300 for training, 50 for validation, and 150 for testing). The dataset was collected from different sites and it further included a portion of noisy COVID-19 CTs with ground-glass opacity and consolidation. Twenty-three teams participated in the entire phase of the challenge and the algorithms for the top ten teams are reviewed in this paper. Both quantitative and qualitative results revealed that deep learning models embedded with the topological continuity enhancement achieved superior performance in general. ATM'22 challenge holds as an open-call design, the training data and the gold standard evaluation are available upon successful registration via its homepage (https://atm22.grand-challenge.org/).

Abstract
Arsenic (As) is a highly toxic metalloid, and its widespread contamination of water is a serious threat to human health. This study explored As removal using Fe(II)-oxidizing bacteria. The strain Fe7 isolated from iron mine soil was classified as the genus Pseudarthrobacter based on 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities and phylogenetic analyses. The strain Fe7 was identified as a strain of Gram-positive, rod-shaped, aerobic bacteria that can oxidize Fe(II) and produce iron mineral precipitates. X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy patterns showed that the iron mineral precipitates with poor crystallinity consisted of Fe(III) and numerous biological impurities. In the co-cultivation of the strain Fe7 with arsenite (As(III)), 100% of the total Fe and 99.9% of the total As were removed after 72 h. During the co-cultivation of the strain Fe7 with arsenate (As(V)), 98.4% of the total Fe and 96.9% of the total As were removed after 72 h. Additionally, the iron precipitates produced by the strain Fe7 removed 100% of the total As after 3 h in both the As(III) and As(V) pollution systems. Furthermore, enzyme activity experiments revealed that the strain Fe7 oxidized Fe(II) by producing extracellular enzymes. When 2% (v/v) extracellular enzyme liquid of the strain Fe7 was added to the As(III) or As(V) pollution system, the total As removal rates were 98.6% and 99.4%, respectively, after 2 h, which increased to 100% when 5% (v/v) and 10% (v/v) extracellular enzyme liquid of the strain Fe7 were, respectively, added to the As(III) and As(V) pollution systems. Therefore, iron biomineralized using a co-culture of the strain Fe7 and As, iron precipitates produced by the strain Fe7, and the extracellular enzymes of the strain Fe7 could remove As(III) and As(V) efficiently. This study provides new insights and strategies for the efficient remediation of arsenic pollution in aquatic environments.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the value of catheter-based adrenal ablation in treating Cushing's syndrome (CS)-associated hypertension. Methods: A clinical study was conducted in patients with CS, who received catheter-based adrenal ablation between March 2018 and July 2023 in Daping Hospital. Parameters monitored were blood pressure (outpatient and 24-hour ambulatory), body weight, clinical characteristics, serum cortisol and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) at 8 am, 24-hour urinary free cortisol (24 h UFC), fasting blood glucose and postoperative complications. Procedure effectiveness was defined as blood pressure returning to normal levels (systolic blood pressure<140 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) and diastolic blood pressure<90 mmHg), cortisol and 24 h UFC returning to normal and improvement of clinical characteristics. The parameters were monitored during follow up in the outpatient department at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after catheter-based adrenal ablation. Results: A total of 12 patients (aged (40.0±13.2) years) were reviewed. There were 5 males, with 5 cases of adenoma and 7 with hyperplasia from imaging studies. Catheter-based adrenal ablation was successful in all without interruption or surgical conversion. No postoperative complication including bleeding, puncture site infection, adrenal artery rupture or adrenal bleeding was observed. The mean follow up was 28 months. Compared to baseline values, body weight declined to (59.48±11.65) kg from (64.81±10.75) kg (P=0.008), fasting blood glucose declined to (4.54±0.83) mmol from (5.53±0.99) mmol (P=0.044), outpatient systolic blood pressure declined to (128±21) mmHg from (140±19) mmHg (P=0.005), diastolic blood pressure declined to (78±10) mmHg from (86±11) mmHg (P=0.041), and the mean ambulatory daytime diastolic blood pressure declined to (79±12) mmHg from (89±8) mmHg (P=0.034). Catheter-based adrenal ablation in 8 patients was defined as effective with their 24 h UFC significantly reduced after the procedure (1 338.41±448.06) mmol/L from (633.66±315.94) mmol/L, P=0.011). The change of 24 h UFC between the effective treatment group and ineffective group was statistically significant (P=0.020). The postoperative systolic blood pressure in the treated adenoma group was significantly lower than those of hyperplasia group (112±13) mmHg vs. (139±20) mmHg, P=0.026). Conclusions: For patients with CS-associated hypertension who are unwilling or unable to undergo surgical treatment, catheter-based adrenal ablation could improve the blood pressure and cortisol level. Catheter-based adrenal ablation could be a safe, effective, and minimally invasive therapy. However, our results still need to be validated in further large-scale studies.

Abstract
This paper analyzed the clinical data of a patient with acute oral emamectin·chlorfenapyr poisoning, and discussed the effect of blood purification therapy on chlorfenapyr poisoning. Chlorfenapyr was detected in the blood, urine, ultrafiltrate and plasma exchange fluid of the patient, and the concentrations of chlorfenapyr poison gradually decreased with time. Blood purification has a certain effect on chlorfenapyr, and early blood purification may be an effective measure to treat chlorfenapyr poisoning.

Abstract
The Construction File (CF) specification establishes a standardized interface for molecular biology operations, laying a foundation for automation and enhanced efficiency in experiment design. It is implemented across three distinct software projects: PyDNA_CF_Simulator, a Python project featuring a ChatGPT plugin for interactive parsing and simulating experiments; ConstructionFileSimulator, a field-tested Java project that showcases 'Experiment' objects expressed as flat files; and C6-Tools, a JavaScript project integrated with Google Sheets via Apps Script, providing a user-friendly interface for authoring and simulation of CF. The CF specification not only standardizes and modularizes molecular biology operations but also promotes collaboration, automation, and reuse, significantly reducing potential errors. The potential integration of CF with artificial intelligence, particularly GPT-4, suggests innovative automation strategies for synthetic biology. While challenges such as token limits, data storage, and biosecurity remain, proposed solutions promise a way forward in harnessing AI for experiment design. This shift from human-driven design to AI-assisted workflows, steered by high-level objectives, charts a potential future path in synthetic biology, envisioning an environment where complexities are managed more effectively.

Abstract
Control of unidirectional light propagation is of paramount importantance to optical signal processing and optical communication. Especially, the amplified optical signal can isolate noise well that may provide more applications. In this work, we propose a dynamically modulated regime to realize unidirectional reflection amplification in a short and dense uniform atomic medium, and all atoms are driven into four-level double-Λ type by two coupling fields with linearly varied intensities along x direction and two weak probe fields. Based on four-wave mixing resonance and the broken spatial symmetry, the complete nonreciprocal reflection (unidirectional reflection) can be amplified with reflectivity more than 2.0, even to 6.0. In addition, the width, height, and position of the unidirectional reflection bands can be tunable. Thus, our regime is feasible and may inspire further applications in all-optical networks that require controllable unidirectional light amplification.

Abstract
PURPOSE To construct and evaluate the performance of a machine learning-based low dose computed tomography (LDCT)-derived parametric response mapping (PRM) model for predicting pulmonary function test (PFT) results. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 615 subjects from a community-based screening population (40-74 years old) with PFT parameters, including the ratio of the first second forced expiratory volume to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC), the percentage of forced expiratory volume in the one second predicted (FEV1%), and registered inspiration-to-expiration chest CT scanning were enrolled retrospectively. Subjects were classified into a normal, high risk, and COPD group based on PFT. Data of 72 PRM-derived quantitative parameters were collected, including volume and volume percentage of emphysema, functional-small airways disease, and normal lung tissue. A machine-learning with random forest regression model and a multilayer perceptron (MLP) model were constructed and tested on PFT prediction, which was followed by evaluation of classification performance based on the PFT predictions. RESULTS The machine-learning model based on PRM parameters showed better performance for predicting PFT than MLP, with a coefficient of determination (R2 ) of 0.749 and 0.792 for FEV1/FVC and FEV1%, respectively. The Mean Squared Errors (MSE) for FEV1/FVC and FEV1% are 0.0030 and 0.0097 for the random forest model, respectively. The Root Mean Squared Errors (RMSE) for FEV1/FVC and FEV1% are 0.055 and 0.098, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy for differentiating between the normal group and high-risk group were 34/40 (85%), 65/72 (90%), and 99/112 (88%), respectively. For differentiating between the non-COPD group and COPD group, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy were 8/9 (89%), 112/112 (100%), 120/121 (99%), respectively. CONCLUSIONS The machine learning-based random forest model predicts PFT results in a community screening population based on PRM, and it identifies high risk COPD from normal populations with high sensitivity and reliably predicts of high-risk COPD.

Abstract
The harmful cyanobacteria bloom is frequently occurring in the aquatic environment and poses a tremendous threat to both aquatic organisms and ecological function. In this study, a series of Cu2+ doped biochar (BC) composites (Cu-BCs) with different loading ratios (0.1 %-5 wt %) (Cu-BC-0.1/0.5/1/2.5/5) was successfully fabricated through a one-step adsorption method for in-situ inactivation of Microcystis aeruginosa and simultaneous removal of microcystin-LR (MC-LR). Compared with the single BC/CuSO4 and other Cu-BCs composites, the Cu-BC-2.5 exhibited the best algae inactivation performance with the lowest 72 h medium effective concentration (EC50) value of 0.34 mg/L and highest chlorophyll α degradation efficiency of 8.31 g/g. Notably, the as-prepared Cu-BC-2.5 maintained good inactivation performance in the near-neutral pH (6.5-8.5), and the presence of humic acid and salts such as Na2CO3 and NaCl. The outstanding inhibitory effect of the Cu-BC-2.5 could be explained by the synergetic effect between biochar and Cu2+, which greatly elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) intensity and in turn led to severe membrane damage and collapse of the antioxidant system. Additionally, the Cu-BC-2.5 could simultaneously remove the released microcystin-LR (MC-LR) throughout the inactivation process and prevent secondary pollution, thus offering a new insight into the alleviation of harmful cyanobacteria in aquatic environment.

Abstract
DNA-based probes have gained significant attention as versatile tools for biochemical analysis, benefiting from their programmability and biocompatibility. However, most existing DNA-based probes rely on fluorescence as the signal output, which can be problematic due to issues like autofluorescence and scattering when applied in complex biological materials such as living cells or tissues. Herein, we report the development of bioluminescent nucleic acid (bioLUNA) sensors that offer laser excitation-independent and ratiometric imaging of the target in vivo. The system is based on computational modelling and mutagenesis investigations of a genetic fusion between circular permutated Nano-luciferase (NLuc) and HaloTag, enabling the conjugation of the protein with a DNAzyme. In the presence of Zn2+ , the DNAzyme sensor releases the fluorophore-labelled strand, leading to a reduction in bioluminescent resonance energy transfer (BRET) between the luciferase and fluorophore. Consequently, this process induces ratiometric changes in the bioluminescent signal. We demonstrated that this bioLUNA sensor enabled imaging of both exogenous Zn2+ in vivo and endogenous Zn2+ efflux in normal epithelial prostate and prostate tumors. This work expands the DNAzyme sensors to using bioluminescence and thus has enriched the toolbox of nucleic acid sensors for a broad range of biomedical applications.

Abstract
PURPOSE To assess the quantification accuracy of pulmonary nodules using virtual monoenergetic images (VMIs) derived from spectral-detector computed tomography (CT) under an ultra-low-dose scan protocol. METHODS A chest phantom consisting of 12 pulmonary nodules was scanned using spectral-detector CT at 100 kVp/10 mAs, 100 kVp/20 mAs, 120 kVp/10 mAs, and 120 kVp/30 mAs. Each scanning protocol was repeated three times. Each CT scan was reconstructed utilizing filtered back projection, hybrid iterative reconstruction, iterative model reconstruction (IMR), and VMIs of 40-100 keV. The signal-to-noise ratio and air noise of images, absolute differences, and absolute percentage measurement errors (APEs) of the diameter, density, and volume of the four scan protocols and ten reconstruction images were compared. RESULTS With each fixed reconstruction image, the four scanning protocols exhibited no significant differences in APEs for diameter and density (all P > 0.05). Of the four scan protocols and ten reconstruction images, APEs for nodule volume had no significant differences (all P > 0.05). At 100 kVp/10 mAs, APEs for density using IMR were the lowest (APE-mean: 6.69), but no significant difference was detected between VMIs at 50 keV (APE-mean: 11.69) and IMR (P = 0.666). In the subgroup analysis, at 100 kVp/10 mAs, there were no significant differences between VMIs at 50 keV and IMR in diameter and density (all P > 0.05). The radiation dose at 100 kVp/10 mAs was reduced by 77.8% compared with that at 120 kVp/30 mAs. CONCLUSION Compared with IMR, reconstruction at 100 kVp/10 mAs and 50 keV provides a more accurate quantification of pulmonary nodules, and the radiation dose is reduced by 77.8% compared with that at 120 kVp/30 mAs, demonstrating great potential for ultra-low-dose spectral-detector CT.

Abstract
PURPOSE Reliable prediction of volume doubling time (VDT) is essential for the personalized management of pulmonary ground-glass nodules (GGNs). We aimed to determine the optimal VDT prediction method by comparing different machine learning methods only based on the baseline chest computed tomography (CT) images. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seven classical machine learning methods were evaluated in terms of their stability and performance for VDT prediction. The VDT, calculated by the preoperative and baseline CT, was divided into 2 groups with a cutoff value of 400 days. A total of 90 GGNs from 3 hospitals constituted the training set, and 86 GGNs from the fourth hospital served as the external validation set. The training set was used for feature selection and model training, and the validation set was used to evaluate the predictive performance of the model independently. RESULTS The eXtreme Gradient Boosting showed the highest predictive performance (accuracy: 0.890±0.128 and area under the ROC curve (AUC): 0.896±0.134), followed by the neural network (NNet) (accuracy: 0.865±0.103 and AUC: 0.886±0.097). While regarding stability, the NNet showed the highest robustness against data perturbation (relative SDs [%] of mean AUC: 10.9%). Therefore, the NNet was chosen as the final model, achieving high accuracy of 0.756 in the external validation set. CONCLUSION The NNet is a promising machine learning method to predict the VDT of GGNs, which would assist in the personalized follow-up and treatment strategies for GGNs reducing unnecessary follow-up and radiation dose.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect and regulation of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) on islets function and NOD-like receptor family, pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) and autophagy in type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) mice. Methods: Experimental study. Twenty, 8-week-old, male C57BL/6J mice were selected and divided into a normal control group (n=5) and a high-fat feeding modeling group (n=15). The model of T2DM was established by high-fat feeding combined with intraperitoneal injection of low-dose streptozotocin. After successful modeling, those mice were divided into a diabetes group (n=7) and a UC-MSCs treatment group (n=7). The UC-MSCs treatment group was given UC-MSCs (1×106/0.2 ml phosphate buffer solution) by tail vein infusion once a week for a total of 4 weeks; the diabetes group was injected with the same amount of normal saline, and the normal control group was not treated. One week after the treatment, mice underwent intraperitoneal glucose tolerance tests and intraperitoneal insulin tolerance tests, and then the mice were sacrificed to obtain pancreatic tissue to detect the expressions of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1 (PDX-1) by immunofluorescence. The bone marrow-derived macrophages were stimulated with lipopolysaccharide and adenosine triphosphate (experimental group) in vitro, then co-cultured with UC-MSCs for 24 h (treatment group). After the culture, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the secretion level of IL-1β in the supernatant, and immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the expression of NLRP3 inflammasome, and related autophagy proteins. Statistical analysis was performed using unpaired one-way analysis of variance, repeated measure analysis of variance. Results: In vivo experiments showed that compared with the diabetes group, the UC-MSCs treatment group partially repaired islet structure, improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity (all P<0.05), and the expression of PDX-1 increased and IL-1β decreased in islets under confocal microscopy. In vitro experiments showed that compared with the experimental group, the level of IL-1β secreted by macrophages in the treatment group was decreased [(85.9±74.6) pg/ml vs. (883.4±446.2) pg/ml, P=0.001], the expression of NLRP3 inflammasome and autophagy-related protein P62 was decreased, and the expressions of microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3β (LC3) and autophagy effector Beclin-1 were increased under confocal microscopy. Conclusions: UC-MSCs can reduce the level of pancreatic inflammation in T2DM mice, preserving pancreatic function. This might be associated with the ability of UC-MSCs to inhibit the activity of NLRP3 inflammasomes in macrophages and enhance autophagy levels.

Abstract
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is one of the most widely used synthetic polyester. It poses serious threat to terrestrial, aquatic ecosystems and human health since it is difficult to be broken down and deposited in the environment. The biodegradation based on enzymatic catalysis offers a sustainable method for recycling PET. A number of PET hydrolases have been discovered in the last 20 years, and protein engineering has increased their degradation capabilities. However, no PET hydrolases that are practical for widespread industrial use have been identified. Screening of PET hydrolase using conventional detection techniques is laborious and inefficient process. Effective detection techniques are required to promote the commercialization of PET hydrolases. Using efficient detection techniques to screen potent industrial enzymes is essential for supporting the widespread industrial implementation of PET hydrolases. To define PET hydrolase, scientists have created a number of analytical techniques recently. The detection techniques that can be used to screen PET hydrolase, including high performance liquid chromatography, ultraviolet absorption spectrometric, and fluorescence activated droplet sorting method, are summarized in this study along with their potential applications.

Abstract
Previous studies have demonstrated that e-SOx can regulate the sedimentary release of phosphorus (P) in brackish and marine sediments. When e-SOx is active, an iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) oxide rich layer is formed near the sediment surface, which prevents P release. When e-SOx becomes inactive, the metal oxide layer is reduced via sulfide-mediated dissolution, and P is subsequently released to the water column. Cable bacteria have been shown to also occur in freshwater sediments. In these sediments, sulfide production is limited, and the metal oxide layer would thus dissolve less efficiently, leaving the P trapped at the sediment surface. This lack of an efficient dissolution mechanism implies that e-SOx could play an important role in the regulation of P availability in eutrophied freshwater streams. To test this hypothesis, we incubated sediments from a eutrophic freshwater river to investigate the impact of cable bacteria on sedimentary cycling of Fe, Mn and P. High-resolution depth profiling of pH, O2 and ΣH2S complemented with FISH analysis and high-throughput gene sequencing showed that the development of e-SOx activity was closely linked to the enrichment of cable bacteria in incubated sediments. Cable bacteria activity caused a strong acidification in the suboxic zone, leading to the dissolution of Fe and Mn minerals and consequently a strong release of dissolved Fe2+ and Mn2+ to the porewater. Oxidation of these mobilized ions at the sediment surface led to the formation of a metal oxide layer that trapped dissolved P, as shown by the enrichment of P-bearing metal oxides in the top layer of the sediment and low phosphate in the pore and overlying water. After e-SOx activity declined, the metal oxide layer did not dissolve and P remained trapped at the surface. Overall, our results suggested cable bacteria can play an important role to counteract eutrophication in freshwater systems.

Abstract
This research developed a novel, efficient and safe antimildew for peanut kernel postharvest storage. The antimildew, cinnamon-Litsea cubeba compound essential oil (CLCEO) microcapsule (CLCEOM), was synthesized with CLCEO as core materials and β-cyclodextrin as wall materials. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analyses indicated that major antifungal compounds of CLCEO were encapsulated in the cavity of β-cyclodextrin. The inhibition zone experiment showed that CLCEOM retained antifungal effect on Aspergillus spp. strains even after storage for 2 months at 4 ℃. Besides, CLCEOM reduced total number of fungal colonies, relative abundance of Aspergillus spp., and aflatoxin B1 content of peanut kernels, and had positive effect on slowing down the increase in acid value of peanut oil without causing any adverse effect on the viability and sensory properties during storage process. Overall, CLCEOM presented good preservative effects on peanut kernels, providing evidence for its potential use as antimildew for peanut storage.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the characteristics of pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) parameters of antibacterial agents in children with sepsis treated by extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Methods: In this prospective cohort study, 20 children with sepsis (confirmed or suspected) who were treated with ECMO and antimicrobial in the Department of Critical Medicine of Hunan Children's Hospital from March 2021 to December 2022 were enrolled as the ECMO group. Through therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), the PK-PD parameters of antibacterial agents were analyzed. Twenty five children with sepsis in the same department who were treated with vancomycin but no ECMO at the same time were enrolled as the control group. The individual PK parameters of vancomycin were calculated by Bayesian feedback method. The PK parameters in the two groups were compared, and the correlation between trough concentration and area under the curve (AUC) was analyzed. Wilcoxon rank sum test was used for inter group comparison. Results: Twenty patients in the ECMO group, included 6 males and 14 females, with an onset age of 47 (9, 76) months. In the ECMO group, 12 children (60%) were treated with vancomycin, and the trough concentration was less than 10 mg/L in 7 cases, 10-20 mg/L in 3 cases, and >20 mg/L in 2 cases; AUC/minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) (MIC=1 mg/L)<400 was in 1 case, 400-600 in 3 cases, and >600 in 8 cases. Among the 11 children (55%) who were treated with β-lactam antibiotics, there were 10 cases with drug concentration at 50% dosing interval (CT50)>4 MIC and 9 cases with trough concentration>MIC, both CT50 and trough concentration of cefoperazone reached the target. Among the 25 cases of control group, 16 were males and 9 females, with an onset age of 12 (8, 32) months. There was a positive correlation between vancomycin trough concentration and AUC (r2=0.36, P<0.001). The half-life of vancomycin and the 24-hour AUC (AUC0-24 h) in the ECMO group were higher than those in the control group (5.3 (3.6, 6.8) vs. 1.9 (1.5, 2.9) h, and 685 (505, 1 227) vs. 261 (210, 355) mg·h/L, Z=2.99, 3.50, respectively; both P<0.05), and the elimination rate constant and clearance rate was lower than those in the control group (0.1 (0.1, 0.2) vs. 0.4 (0.2, 0.5), 0.7 (0.5, 1.3) vs. 2.0 (1.1, 2.8) L/h, Z=2.99, 2.11, respectively; both P<0.05). Conclusion: The PK-PD parameters in septic children treated by ECMO varied with a longer half-life, higher AUC0-24 h, lower elimination rate constant and clearance rate.

Abstract
Sirtuine5 (SIRT5) is an important molecule involved in the pathology of inflammatory diseases. To investigate the impact of SIRT5 on the analgesic effectiveness of moxibustion, we established a complete Freund's adjuvant- (CFA-) induced inflammatory pain in mice model. Moxibustion was applied at the Zusanli (ST36) acupoint in mice with inflammatory pain. The analgesic effectiveness was evaluated by thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical allodynia tests in the right paws after CFA injection. The expression of inflammatory cytokines, including the pro-inflammatory factors IL-1β and TNF-α, and the anti-inflammatory factors IL-4 and TGF-β expressions, was evaluated using by ELISA. Furthermore, SIRT5 was evaluated by immunofluorescence and western blotting. The results showed that, compared with the CFA group, both thermal and mechanical pain thresholds increased with moxibustion and the SIRT5 inhibitor MC3482 intervention at ST36. Additionally, compared to the CFA-induced group, the inflammatory mediators, including IL-1β and TNF-α, decreased, while the anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and TGF-β increased with moxibustion and MC3482 ST36 acupoint injection. Western blot results showed a decreased expression of SIRT5 at the ST36 site with moxibustion and MC3482 injection, compared to the CFA-induced group. SIRT5 expression in the right paw of mice injected with moxibustion and MC3482 was higher than that in the CFA-induced group. This study revealed that SIRT5 expression is involved in moxibustion analgesia and may be a potential mediator in the regulation of analgesia.

Abstract
Cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum I) is a platinum-based drug, the mainstay of anticancer treatment for numerous solid tumors. Since its approval by the FDA in 1978, the drug has continued to be used for the treatment of half of epithelial cancers. However, resistance to cisplatin represents a major obstacle during anticancer therapy. Here, we review recent findings on how the mTORC1 pathway and autophagy can influence cisplatin sensitivity and resistance and how these data can be applicable for the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Abstract
We demonstrate a coherent microwave manipulation of a single optical photon based on a single Rydberg excitation in an atomic ensemble. Due to the strong nonlinearities in a Rydberg blockade region, a single photon can be stored in the formation of Rydberg polariton using electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). The manipulation of the stored single photon is performed by applying a microwave field that resonantly couples the nS1/2 and nP3/2, while the coherent readout is performed by mapping the excitation into a single photon. We achieve a single photon source with g(2)(0) = 0.29 ± 0.08 at 80S1/2 without applying microwave fields. By implementing the microwave field during the storage time and retrieval process, we show the Rabi oscillation and modulation of stored photons that can be controlled to retrieve early or late. Rapid modulation frequencies up to 50 MHz can be obtained. Our experimental observations can be well explained via numerical simulations based on an improved superatom model accounting for the dipole-dipole interactions in a Rydberg EIT medium. Our work provides a way to manipulate the stored photons by employing the microwave field, which is significant for developing quantum technologies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The development of biofuels, especially liquid hydrocarbon fuels, has been widely concerned due to the depletion of fossil resources. In order to obtain fuel precursors, the reaction of C-C bond formation is usually carried out with biomass derived ketones/aldehydes as reactants. Acetoin and 2,3-butanediol are two platform chemicals, which are co-existed in fermentation broth and traditionally separated by distillation, and then acetoin could be use as C4 building block to prepare hydrocarbon fuels. In order to mitigate the process complexity, direct aldol condensation reaction of acetoin in fermentation broth was studied in this work. RESULTS A one-pot process of product separation and acetoin derivative synthesis was proposed based on salting-out extraction (SOE). Aldol condensation reaction of acetoin and 5-methyl furfural in different SOE systems was compared, and the results showed that the synthesis of C10 fuel precursors and separation of C10 products and 2,3-butanediol from fermentation broth were achieved in one-pot with ethanolammonium butyrate (EOAB) and K2HPO4 as SOE reagents and catalysts. The SOE and reaction conditions such as the concentrations of EOAB and K2HPO4, reaction temperature and time were optimized. When the system was composed of 6 wt% EOAB-44 wt% K2HPO4 and the mixture was stirred for 6 h at 200 rpm, 40 ℃, the yield of C10 products was 80.7%, and 95.5% 2,3-butanediol was distributed to the top EOAB-rich phase. The exploration of reaction mechanism showed that an imine intermediate was rapidly formed and the subsequent C10 product formation was the key step for aldol condensation reaction. CONCLUSIONS With EOAB and K2HPO4 as SOE reagents and catalysts, one-pot synthesis of fuel precursor from acetoin fermentation broth was achieved without prior purification. A yield of 80.7% for C10 products was obtained which was accumulated at the interface of two aqueous-phase, and 95.5% 2,3-BD was distributed to the top EOAB-rich phase. This work provides a new integration process of product separation and derivative synthesis from fermentation broth based on ionic liquid SOE.

Abstract
PURPOSE Endobronchial intervention requires detailed modeling of pulmonary anatomical substructure, such as lung airway and artery-vein maps, which are commonly extracted from non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) independently using automatic segmentation approaches. We aim to make the first attempt to jointly train a CNN-based model for airway and artery-vein segmentation along with synthetic contrast-enhanced CT (CECT) generation. METHODS A multi-task framework is proposed to simultaneously generate three segmentation maps and synthesize CECTs. We first design a collaborative learning model with tissue knowledge interaction for lung airway and artery-vein segmentation. Meanwhile, a conditional adversarial training strategy is applied to generate CECTs from NCCTs guided by artery maps. Additionally, CECT identity and reconstruction help to regularize the model for plausible NCCT to CECT translation. RESULTS Extensive experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed framework based on three datasets (90 NCCTs for the airway task, 55 NCCTs for the artery-vein task and 100 CECTs for the artery task). The results demonstrate the effective improvement of our proposed method compared to other methods and configurations that can achieve more accurate segmentation maps (Dice score coefficients for these three tasks are: 93.6%, 80.7% and 82.4%, respectively) and realistic CECTs simultaneously. The ablation study further verifies the effectiveness of the components of the designed model. CONCLUSION This study demonstrates the model potential in multi-task learning that integrates anatomically relevant segmentation and performs NCCT to CECT translation. Such an interaction approach promotes mutually for both promising segmentation results and plausible synthesis.

Abstract
Objective: To conduct a meta-analysis on the influencing factors of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in the Chinese elderly. Methods: The literature related to the influencing factors of MCI in Chinese elderly population was retrieved through CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases up to March 13, 2022. Stata17.0 software was used to calculate the combined risk ratio (RR) with the 95% confidence interval (CI), test the heterogeneity, and assess the publication bias. Results: A total of 2 450 articles were retrieved, and 49 articles met the inclusion criteria, including 5 cohort studies and 44 case-control studies. Meta-analysis results showed that male (RR=0.778, 95%CI: 0.696-0.870, I2=73.1), education>6years (RR=0.428, 95%CI: 0.374-0.490, I2=86.9) and regular exercise (RR=0.496, 95%CI: 0.421-0.585, I2=81.5) were protective factors for MCI, while age≥70 years (RR=2.431, 95%CI: 2.086-2.833, I2=79.3), family history of dementia (RR=3.228, 95%CI: 2.140-4.867, I2=0.0), smoking (RR=1.214, 95%CI: 1.098-1.342, I2=78.8), alcohol consumption (RR=1.165, 95%CI: 1.047-1.297, I2=68.2), solitary living (RR=2.816, 95%CI: 2.123-3.736, I2=42.0), insomnia (RR=1.402, 95%CI: 1.093-1.799, I2=41.3), overweight/obesity (RR=1.431, 95%CI: 1.207-1.696, I2=75.9), hypertension (RR=1.731, 95%CI: 1.589-1.886, I2=67.1), hyperlipidemia (RR=1.722, 95%CI: 1.541-1.924, I2=63.9), diabetes mellitus (RR=1.495, 95%CI: 1.341-1.666, I2=71.6), cardiovascular diseases (RR=1.671, 95%CI: 1.446-1.932, I2=74.6) and cerebrovascular diseases (RR=2.309, 95%CI: 2.040-2.613, I2=76.3) were risk factors of MCI. Conclusion: The present study indicates that male, junior high school education or above and regular exercise are protective factors of MCI, while age≥70 years, family history of dementia, smoking, alcohol consumption, living alone, insomnia, overweight/obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases are risk factors of MCI.

A parametric study on the energy transfer of the solar wind across the magnetopause entering the magnetosphere is conducted using a global magnetohydrodynamic numerical simulation. The characteristics of the mechanical and electromagnetic energy distribution under the dawn-dusk interplanetary magnetic fields (IMFs) are investigated by analyzing magnetic reconnection and viscous effect, and compared with the radial and north-south IMFs. It is shown that (1) the interactions at the magnetopause and the transfer of energy across this boundary move in relation to the IMF orientation. (2) For the duskward IMF, the mechanical energy flow clearly enters the equatorial and low-latitude regions on the dayside, and the electromagnetic energy flow has a small inflow on the equatorial and low latitudes of the dayside. A significant energy inflow appears on the dawn side in the northern hemisphere and the dusk side in the southern hemisphere near the polar cusp. (3) The energy distribution characteristics across the magnetopause under dawn-dusk IMFs are mirror symmetric about the [Formula: see text] plane. (4) For a magnetic field of 5 nT, the electromagnetic energy input under the dawn-dusk IMFs is twice as large as the mechanical energy and the electromagnetic energy under the radial IMF, which is five times as large as the electromagnetic energy during the pure northward IMF, but only half as large as the electromagnetic energy under the pure southward IMF. The mechanical energy input under dawn-dusk IMFs has the same magnitude as that under radial and north-south IMFs. The magnitude of the energy transfer rate for the dawn IMF and dusk IMF (about 3.5%) is between 1.71% for the northward IMF and 4.95% for the southward IMF, but higher than 2.22% for the radial IMF. The Akasofu-type energy-coupling formula, [Formula: see text], underestimates the energy input from the solar wind under [Formula: see text] dominated IMF.

Abstract
The study aims to assess a sustainable green financial environment by exploring the underlying structure of monetary seismic aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study is qualitative and uses a review of literature, primary data collection methods, and qualitative analysis techniques as the study's overall design. The data is collected by one-to-one interview using a matrix style questionnaire from a panel of experts based on the purposive sampling technique. Interpretive structural modeling (ISM) combined with Matrices' Impacts Cruise's Multiplication Appliquée a UN Classement (MICMAC) is used for assessment, modeling, and analysis of data. The monetary aftershocks, namely, "more cash in hand required," "decreased travel costs," "shift to more certain or fixed revenue streams," "lower rent costs," "more zealous monitoring of cash collection cycle," and "decreased entertainment costs," occupy level I (top of the model being least critical shocks), and "tedious regulations" occupy level VIII (bottom of the model being the most vital). Other aftershocks form the middle of the model being moderate critical. Analysis of MICMAC shows that monetary seismic aftershocks high fees for assistance regarding SOPs, tedious regulations, and more downtime due to pandemic alerts are independent. This study addresses the core issue from within the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides new important information regarding the structure of a sustainable green financial environment that is useful for economists, financial analysts, commercial and central bankers, accountants and finance managers from the organization's public/and private sectors, local and international community, and researchers of the domain. It provides an informative structural model and classification of critical aftershocks. There are specific data/methodological/resource-related limitations of the study. The study's data are collected from a focus group; the study's methodology is qualitative and indicates relations among variables that do not quantify the associations. The study is a typical initiative of academic researchers with limited financial/physical resources; therefore, the generalizability of the study results is accordingly limited. The study is based on original, essential data and innovatively and creatively approaches the problem. It provides a unique model of an unprecedented phenomenon for reverberating the sustainable green financial environment.

Abstract
Using DNA staining dyes such as SYBR Green I (SGI) and thioflavin T (ThT) to perform label-free detection of aptamer binding has been performed for a long time for both binding assays and biosensor development. Since these dyes are cationic, they can also adsorb to the wall of reaction vessels leading to unstable signals and even false interpretations of the results. In this work, the stability of the signal was first evaluated using ThT and the classic adenosine aptamer. In a polystyrene microplate, a drop in fluorescence was observed even when non-binding targets or water were added, whereas a more stable signal was achieved in a quartz cuvette. Equilibrating the system can also improve signal stability. In addition, a few polymers and surfactants were also screened, and 0.01% Triton X-100 was found to have the best protection effect against fluorescence signal decrease due to dye adsorption. Three aptamers for Hg2+, adenosine, and cortisol were tested for their sensitivity and signal stability in the absence and presence of Triton X-100. In each case, the sensitivity was similar, whereas the signal stability was better for the surfactant. This study indicates that careful control experiments need to be designed to ensure reliable results and that the reliability can be improved by using Triton X-100 and a long equilibration time.

Abstract
The underground environment is dark and humid, and it is easy to breed pathogenic microorganisms. A lump in the right lung of a coal mine underground transport worker was found druing occupational health examination. CT examination showed that the lump was located in the posterior segment of the upper lobe of the right lung, with point strip calcification, liquefaction necrosis, and proximal bronchial stenosis and occlusion. MRI examination FS-T(2)WI and DWI showed "target sign", annular low signal around the central high signal, and low mixed signal around the periphery, and annular high signal in the isosignal lesions on T(1)WI. Then the pulmonary aspergillus infection was confirmed by pathology.

Abstract
Objective: TP53-abnormal MDS/acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients' allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) treatment's effectiveness and influencing factors should be studied. Methods: 42 patients with TP53 gene status change MDS/AML who underwent allo-HSCT from 2014.8.1 to 2021.7.31 at the Hematology Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences were the subject of a retrospective analysis. The 42 patients were divided into three groups: the TP53 deletion group (group A) , TP53 mono-alle mutation group (group B) , and TP53 multi-hit group (group C) . The differences in clinical features and prognostic factors after transplantation were analyzed. Results: There were 42 MDS/AML patients, including 21 patients with MDS, and 21 patients with AML. The median follow-up period was 34.0 (7.5-75.0) months and the median patient age at the time of transplantation was 41.5 (18-63) years old. The total OS was 66.3% (95% CI 53.4%-82.4%) in 3 years after transplantation, and EFS was 61.0% (95% CI 47.7%-78.0%) in 3 years. For 3 years after receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, there were no statistically significant differences in 3-year OS and EFS in groups A, B, and C (P≥0.05) . The 3 years OS was 82.5% (95% CI 63.1%-100.0%) in group A, 60.6% (95% CI 43.5%-84.4%) in group B, and 57.1% (95% CI 30.1%-100.0%) in group C. Univariate analysis revealed that the number of co-mutant genes, pre-HSCT treatment, and disease type did not affect prognosis, while age, karyotype, co-mutation, positive blast cell before transplantation, and positive blast cell after transplantation were common prognostic factors for OS and EFS (P<0.1) . MRD levels before transplantation were found to be independent risk factors for OS (P=0.037, HR=33.40, 95% CI 1.24-901.17) in a multivariate analysis. Conclusion: Patients with MDS/AML who have TP53 mutations can benefit from allo-HSCT, but patients with complex karyotypes have a worse prognosis. Meanwhile, the final flow cytometry (FCM) monitoring blast cell test before HSCT has a certain guiding significance for prognostic assessment.

Abstract
Tetracyclines are a group of very important antibiotics that are still in use to date. To extract, detect and remove tetracyclines from the environment, various nanomaterials have been employed. Although gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are a commonly cited material for these purposes, fundamental understanding of these tetracycline-AuNP systems are still limited. In this work, the adsorption of tetracycline, oxytetracycline and doxycycline to AuNPs was studied. The effect on the colloidal stability of AuNPs, adsorption kinetics, and the resulting adsorption isotherms were measured. While millimolar concentrations of the tetracyclines can cause aggregation of AuNPs, saturated monolayer adsorption was achieved with low micromolar concentrations of the tetracyclines. Adsorption was instantaneous, and adsorption to AuNPs enhanced their intrinsic fluorescence instead of quenching. With the assumption of aptamer/target complexes cannot be easily adsorbed by AuNPs compared to free aptamers, a label-free colorimetric detection method was tested. While the label-free sensor showed target-dependent aggregation of AuNPs, a non-binding mutant aptamer showed the same trend, suggesting that the color change did not reflect aptamer adsorption but other events such as target adsorption. This study indicates the importance of fundamental understanding of target/AuNP interactions to correctly design aptamer and AuNP-based label-free biosensors.

Abstract
Recent evolution in deep learning has proven its value for CT-based lung nodule classification. Most current techniques are intrinsically black-box systems, suffering from two generalizability issues in clinical practice. First, benign-malignant discrimination is often assessed by human observers without pathologic diagnoses at the nodule level. We termed these data as "unsure-annotation data". Second, a classifier does not necessarily acquire reliable nodule features for stable learning and robust prediction with patch-level labels during learning. In this study, we construct a sure-annotation dataset with pathologically-confirmed labels and propose a collaborative learning framework to facilitate sure nodule classification by integrating unsure-annotation data knowledge through nodule segmentation and malignancy score regression. A loss function is designed to learn reliable features by introducing interpretability constraints regulated with nodule segmentation maps. Furthermore, based on model inference results that reflect the understanding from both machine and experts, we explore a new nodule analysis method for similar historical nodule retrieval and interpretable diagnosis. Detailed experimental results demonstrate that our approach is beneficial for achieving improved performance coupled with trustworthy model reasoning for lung cancer prediction with limited data. Extensive cross-evaluation results further illustrate the effect of unsure-annotation data for deep-learning based methods in lung nodule classification.

Abstract
Increases in nutrient loadings to waterways over the past four decades have led to widespread eutrophication and water quality impairments across China. Understanding the spatial, interannual and long-term variations in nutrient loadings and associated drivers at the national scale is crucial for developing effective nutrient reduction strategies. However, the controls on, and spatiotemporal variations in, nutrient fluxes remain a problem from both an academic and management perspective. This study provides spatially extensive and temporally contiguous estimates of changes in riverine total nitrogen (TN), ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) and total phosphorus (TP) fluxes for continental area of China based on machine learning stack models and empirical modeling over the period from 1980 to 2018. Results reveal considerable spatial, interannual and long-term variability in annual TN, NH3-N and TP fluxes, with spatial variations in average TN and NH3-N fluxes primarily driven by net anthropogenic nitrogen inputs. Interannual variability is dominated by precipitation across continental areas of China. Spatial variability in the estimated average annual TP flux in the undeveloped western and the developed middle east regions of China are primarily controlled by net anthropogenic phosphorus inputs and precipitation, respectively. We found that TN, NH3-N and TP fluxes increased from 1980 to 2018 in watersheds in East China; the national mean annual TN, NH3-N and TP fluxes increased before 2015 and decreased after 2015. This study illustrates the important role of precipitation and temperature variability in controlling the spatial, interannual and long-term variability of nutrient fluxes, and indicates that the influence of the meteorological conditions on annual loadings is needed when designing watershed nutrient reduction or management strategies.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the potential of receptor-interacting protein 3 (RIP3) as a therapeutic target for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). Methods: Immunofluorescence assay was used to observe the activated expression levels of RIP3 and its downstream signal mixed lineage protein kinase domain-like protein (MLKL) in the liver tissues of patients with AIH and hepatic cyst. Concanavalin A (ConA) was injected into the tail vein to induce acute immune-mediated hepatitis in mice. Intervention was performed by intraperitoneal injection of RIP3 inhibitor GSK872 or solvent carrier. Peripheral blood and liver tissues were collected. Serum transaminases level, qPCR and flow cytometry were analyzed. The intergroup comparison was performed with an independent sample t-test. Results: The expression level of p-RIP3 (the activated forms of RIP3) and phosphorylated p-MLKL (MLKL after phosphorylation) downstream signal were significantly higher in the liver tissue of AIH patients than those of controls. Compared with the control group, the expression levels of RIP3 and MLKL mRNA were significantly increased in the liver tissue of AIH patients (relative expression levels 3.28±0.29 vs. 0.98±0.09, 4.55±0.51 vs. 1.06±0.11), and the differences were statistically significant (t=6.71 and 6.77, respectively, and P<0.01). The expression levels of RIP3 and MLKL mRNA were significantly higher in the mice liver tissue of ConA-induced immune hepatitis than those in the control group (relative expression levels 2.35±0.09 vs. 0.89±0.11,2.77±0.22 vs. 0.73±0.16,t=10.4,6.33, P<0.01). RIP3 inhibitor GSK872 had significantly attenuated ConA-induced immune liver injury and inhibited the expression of tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-6, interleukin-1β and NLRP3 in liver. Compared with the control group, the proportions of CD45+F4/80+ macrophages, CD4+ IL-17+ Th17 cells, CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T (Treg) cells and CD11b+ Gr-1+ myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) were significantly increased in the liver of ConA + Vehicle group. Compared with ConA + Vehicle group, the proportion of CD45+F4/80+ macrophages and CD4+ IL-17+ Th17 cells were significantly decreased, while the proportion of CD4+ CD25+Treg cells and CD11b+ Gr-1+ MDSCs with immunomodulatory functions were significantly increased in mice liver of ConA+GSK872 group. Conclusion: AIH patients and ConA-induced immune hepatitis mice have activated RIP3 signal in liver tissues. Inhibition of RIP3 reduces the expression and proportion of proinflammatory factors and cells, and promotes the accumulation of CD4+ CD25+ Treg cells and CD11b+ Gr-1+ MDSCs with immunomodulatory functions in the liver of mice with immune hepatitis, thereby alleviating liver inflammation and injury. Therefore, the inhibition of RIP3 is expected to be a new approach for the treatment of AIH.

Abstract
Thoracic imaging has been revolutionized through advances in technology and research around the world, and so has China. Thoracic imaging in China has progressed from anatomic observation to quantitative and functional evaluation, from using traditional approaches to using artificial intelligence. This article will review the past, present, and future of thoracic imaging in China, in an attempt to establish new accepted strategies moving forward.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Secoeudesma sesquiterpenes lactone A (SESLA) is a sesquiterpene derived from Inula japonica Thunb. and is known to possess many pharmacological properties, e.g., anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities. However, the immunomodulatory role of SESLA in gram-positive (G+) bacterial infection is not clear. MATERIALS AND METHODS To set up a G+ bacterial infection model in vitro, we carried out a bacterial mimic (PGN or Pam3CSK4) or Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) stimulated experiment using macrophages or dendritic cells (DCs). ELISA and qPCR were performed to measure the expression of inflammatory cytokines. Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of MHC II and co-stimulatory molecules on the surface of DCs. The network pharmacology was used to identify the molecular mechanism and potential targets of SESLA that are predicted to be involved in the MRSA-elicited inflammation. Western blot and dual luciferase reporter assay were adopted to certify possible molecular mechanism of SESLA. RESULTS This study demonstrated that SESLA treatment significantly reduced the levels of inflammatory cytokines stimulated by PGN, Pam3CSK4 or even MRSA in vitro, and it also reduced PGN-induced expression of MHC II and co-stimulatory molecules on the surface of DCs. Mechanistically, the inhibition of IκBα phosphorylation and the suppression of T cells activation could account for its anti-inflammatory activity. CONCLUSION The present study validated the notable anti-inflammatory activity of SESLA and discovered its previously uncharacterized immunoregulatory role and the underlying mechanism in G+ bacterial infections. Overall, SESLA has a potential to be an antibiotic adjuvant for the treatment of G+ bacterial infections.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of the combination therapy with chemotherapy, programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor and anlotinib in the treatment of advanced dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLPS). Methods: The clinical data of patients with dedifferentiated liposarcoma who received chemotherapy combined with PD-1 inhibitor and anlotinib in the Department of Medical Oncology, Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University from January 1, 2020 to November 30, 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 24 patients were included in this study, including 12 males and 12 females, with a median age of onset of 56 years (range, 31-69 years). Efficacy and safety in those patients were assessed. Results: All patients had unresectable or metastatic dedifferentiated liposarcoma with G2 (moderate differentiation) or G3 (differential differentiation) in a concise three-grade grading scheme of tumor pathology. Twelve patients received the regimen as the first-line treatment, while the other 7 taken the regimen as second-line treatment and 5 as third-line or above. The median follow-up time for overall survival (OS) was 7.7 months. The overall response rate (ORR) was 20.8% (5/24) and disease control rate (DCR) was 83.3% (20/24) with 5 partial response (PR), 15 stable disease (SD) and 4 progressive disease (PD). Overall, the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 4.9 months (95%CI: 3.4-16.2 months). The ORR of anthracycline-based, eribulin-based or gemcitabine-based regimens was 1/12, 2/6 and 2/6, respectively; and the median PFS was 7.7, 7.3 and 4.4 months, respectively. Waterfall plots showed notable tumor shrinkage of any degree in eribulin and gemcitabine-based regimens(3/6 and 2/6, respectively), while there were more patients presented with SD in anthracycline-based group(9/12). Common adverse reactions included myelosuppression, fatigue, anorexia, rash, pruritus, palpitate, hypothyroidism and hypertension. Conclusions: The combination regimen with chemotherapy, PD-1 inhibitor and anlotinib in the treatment of advanced DDLPS is effective and well tolerable. There are more responders in eribulin or gemcitabine-based regimens.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of the modified Latarjet procedure in the treatment of recurrent anterior subluxation of the shoulder by "coaxial co-arc" reconstruction of the glenoid cavity. Methods: The clinical data of 103 cases (106 shoulders) of recurrent anterior dislocation of the shoulder admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Military Medical University from January 2005 to December 2020 were retrospectively studied. Out of these cases, 84 were males and 19 were females; 31 with left-sided injuries while 75 with right-sided injuries, with a mean age of (29.4±11.5) years (16-61 years). The preoperative anterior fear test was positive, and a modified Latarjet procedure was used to reconstruct the shoulder glenoid defect through a "coaxial co-arc". The Rowe score, simple shoulder test (SST) score, and Visual analogue scale (VAS) score of pain were used to assess the shoulder's function. Parameters such as the postoperative shoulder recurrent dislocation rate, shoulder body external rotation angle, and subscapularis muscle strength changes were recorded postoperatively. Moreover, radiographs and CT scans were used to check for the incidence of osteoarthritis (Samson-Prieto score). Results: After a mean follow-up of 9.0 years (1 to 16 years), bony healing occurred 3 to 6 months postoperatively. The Rowe score improved from 40.4±6.5 preoperatively to 93.2±2.5 (P<0.001), the SST score improved from 5.2±1.3 preoperatively to 10.1±1.5 (P<0.001), and the VAS pain score decreased from 3.5±1.9 preoperatively to 1.1±1.2 (P<0.001) at the final follow-up. The angle of lateral external rotation of the shoulder joint was 58.8°±15.6° preoperatively and 57.6°±14.5° postoperatively with no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the measurement of subscapularis muscle strength between the healthy side and the affected side (P>0.05). In 89.6% of patients after surgery, coaxial co-arc reconstruction of the shoulder glenoid was obtained, and the shoulder glenoid defect and postoperative inclusion angle were significantly improved compared with those before surgery (P<0.001). Postoperatively, new-onset osteoarthritis developed in 7 cases (7/98), arthritis progressed in 2 cases (2/8), incisional healing was poor in 2 cases (2/98), and revision surgery was performed in 2 cases (2/98) due to bone mass detachment. Conclusion: Coracoid osteotomy and concentric coaxial reconstruction of the glenoid cavity elicits adequate good clinical efficacy for cases of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation, with low recurrence rates, low revision rates and low incidence of osteoarthritis.

Abstract
Despite significant climate change on the Tibetan Plateau, the historical succession trend and underlying driving mechanism of aquatic ecosystem in alpine lake remain unclear. In this study, palaeolimnological analysis and high-throughput sequencing of sedimentary DNA were used to investigate environmental changes, primary productivity, and eukaryotic algal community succession over the past millennium in Lake Yamzhog Yumco of the southern Tibetan Plateau. Lake primary productivity significantly increased after ~1850 CE and algal community succession occurred in three stages including the Medieval Warm Periods (approximately 1000-1250 CE), the Little Ice Age (1250-1850 CE), and the Current Warm Period (1850-2020 CE). Moreover, succession was synchronous with inferred climate changes. Partial least square path modeling indicated that climate factors affected primary productivity and eukaryotic algal community structure by affecting nutrient loading. The results suggest that glacier melting and permafrost degradation caused by climate warming, combined with increased precipitation, may be the major driving factors of nutrient concentration increases, phytoplankton biomass increases, and shifts in community composition. Considering the expected trends of future climate change and continuous warming, the restoration of vegetation cover and reduction of non-point source nutrient loading in the Tibetan Plateau is urgently needed to mitigate climate change impacts on alpine lake aquatic ecosystems.
