Abstract
Background It is essential to consider a practical antibody test to successfully implement marker vaccines and validate vaccination efficacy against classical swine fever virus (CSFV). The test should include a serological antibody assay, combined with a tool for differentiating infected from vaccinated animals (DIVA). The immunochromatographic test strip (ICS) has been exclusively designed for detecting CSFV E2 antibodies while lacking in detecting Erns antibodies, which can be employed and satisfy DIVA strategy. This study developed a novel ICS for detecting CSFV E2/Erns dual-antibody. The effectiveness of ICS in evaluating the DIVA capability of two novel chimeric pestivirus vaccine candidates was assessed. Methods Recombinant E2 or Erns protein was transiently expressed in the plant benthamiana using Agrobacterium tumefaciens. ICS was subsequently assembled, and goat anti-rabbit IgG and recombinant CSFV E2 or Erns protein were plated onto the nitrocellulose membrane as control and test lines, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of ICS were evaluated using sera with different neutralizing antibody titers or positive for antibodies against CSFV and other pestiviruses. The coincidence rates for detecting E2 and Erns antibodies between ICS and commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits were also computed. ICS performance for DIVA capability was evaluated using sera from pigs vaccinated with conventional vaccine or chimeric vaccine candidates. Results E2 and Erns proteins were successfully expressed in N. benthamiana-produced recombinant proteins. ICS demonstrated high sensitivity in identifying CSFV E2 and Erns antibodies, even at the low neutralizing antibody titers. No cross-reactivity with antibodies from other pestiviruses was confirmed using ICS. There were high agreement rates of 93.0 and 96.5% between ICS and two commercial ELISA kits for E2 antibody testing. ICS also achieved strong coincidence rates of 92.9 and 89.3% with two ELISA kits for Erns antibody detection. ICS confirmed the absence of CSFV Erns-specific antibodies in sera from pigs vaccinated with chimeric vaccine candidates. Conclusion E2 and Erns proteins derived from the plant showed great potential and can be used to engineer a CSFV E2/Erns dual-antibody ICS. The ICS was also highly sensitive and specific for detecting CSFV E2 and Erns antibodies. Significantly, ICS can fulfill the DIVA concept by incorporating chimeric vaccine candidates.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The study attempted to identify clinical characteristics associated with structural progression in open-angle glaucoma (OAG) in the presence of MvD in different locations. METHODS A total of 181 consecutive OAG eyes (follow-up 7.3 ± 4.0 years), which demonstrated peripapillary choroidal MvD (defined as a focal capillary loss with no visible microvascular network in choroidal layer) on optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography (OCTA), were divided based on the location of MvD. Structural progression was determined using trend-based analysis of the Guided Progression Analysis software of Cirrus OCT. RESULTS MvD was identified in the temporal quadrant in 110 eyes (temporal MvD; 60.5 ± 12.6 years), and in the inferior quadrant in 71 eyes (inferior MvD; 60.3 ± 11.1 years). After adjusting for age, average intraocular pressure (IOP) and baseline retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) thickness and visual field mean deviation, inferior MvD eyes showed faster rates of thinning in the inferior RNFL (mean (95% CI); -0.833 (-1.298 to -0.367)) compared to temporal MvD eyes (-0.144 (-0.496 to 0.207)) when long-term IOP fluctuation was larger than the median value (1.7 mmHg; P = 0.022). Long-term IOP fluctuations were independently associated with inferior RNFL thinning in eyes with inferior MvD (P = 0.002) but not in eyes with temporal MvD. CONCLUSIONS In OAG eyes, the rates of RNFL and GCIPL thinning were comparable regardless of MvD locations. However, inferior MvD is associated with faster RNFL and GCIPL thinning in the same quadrant when long-term IOP fluctuation is present. Structural progression in the presence of temporal MvD was less associated with IOP fluctuation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Many studies have evaluated stroke using claims data; most of these studies have defined ischemic stroke using an operational definition following the rule-based method. Rule-based methods tend to overestimate the number of patients with ischemic stroke. OBJECTIVES We aimed to identify an appropriate algorithm for identifying stroke by applying machine learning (ML) techniques to analyze the claims data. METHODS We obtained the data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service database, which is linked to the Ilsan Hospital database (n = 30,897). The performance of prediction models (extreme gradient boosting [XGBoost] or gated recurrent unit [GRU]) was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC), the area under precision-recall curve (AUPRC), and calibration curve. RESULTS In total, 30,897 patients were enrolled in this study, 3145 of whom (10.18%) had ischemic stroke. XGBoost, a tree-based ML technique, had the AUROC was 94.46% and AUPRC was 92.80%. GRU showed the highest accuracy (99.81%), precision (99.92%) and recall (99.69%). CONCLUSIONS We proposed recurrent neural network-based deep learning techniques to improve stroke phenotyping. This can be expected to produce rapid and more accurate results than the rule-based methods.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The objective of this field trial was to evaluate the efficacy of a new plant-based porcine circovirus type 2a (PCV2a) vaccine. This vaccine was a recombinant capsid subunit PCV2a vaccine based on the Nicotiana benthamiana expression system. METHODS Three farms were selected for the study based on their history of subclinical PCV2 infection. A total of 40 18-day-old pigs were randomly allocated to either vaccinated or unvaccinated groups (20 pigs per group; 10 = male and 10 = female). Pigs received a 2.0-mL dose of the plant-based PCV2a vaccine intramuscularly at 21 days of age in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, whereas unvaccinated pigs were administered a single dose of phosphate buffered-saline at the same age. RESULTS Vaccination had a positive effect on pig growth performance compared to that of unvaccinated pigs on all three of the farms. Vaccination of pigs with a plant-based PCV2a vaccine induced high levels of neutralizing antibodies titres against PCV2d and PCV2d-specific interferon-γ secreting cells which resulted in the reduction of PCV2d viral load and reduced lymphoid lesions severity. CONCLUSIONS The results of this field trial demonstrated cross-protection of PCV2d by a plant-based PCV2a vaccine and a positive effect of pig growth performance with vaccination.

Abstract
Background: The objective prognostic score (OPS) needs to be modified to reflect practical palliative care circumstances. Objectives: We aimed to validate modified models of OPS with few or no laboratory tests for patients with advanced cancer. Design: An observational study was performed. Setting/Subjects: A secondary analysis of an international, multicenter cohort study of patients in East Asia was performed. The subjects were inpatients with advanced cancer in the palliative care unit. Measurements: We developed two modified OPS (mOPS) models to predict two-week survival: mOPS-A consisted of two symptoms, two objective signs, and three laboratory results, while mOPS-B consisted of three symptoms, two signs, and no laboratory data. We compared the accuracy of the prognostic models using sensitivity, specificity, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC). Calibration plots for two-week survival and net reclassification indices (NRIs) were compared for the two models. Survival differences between higher and lower score groups of each model were identified by the log-rank test. Results: We included a total of 1796 subjects having median survival of 19.0 days. We found that mOPS-A had higher specificity (0.805-0.836) and higher AUROCs (0.791-0.797). In contrast, mOPS-B showed higher sensitivity (0.721-0.725) and acceptable AUROCs (0.740-0.751) for prediction of two-week survival. Two mOPSs showed good concordance in calibration plots. Considering NRIs, replacing the original OPS with mOPSs improved overall reclassification (absolute NRI: 0.47-4.15%). Higher score groups of mOPS-A and mOPS-B showed poorer survival than those of lower score groups (p < 0.001). Conclusions: mOPSs used reduced laboratory data and had relatively good accuracy for predicting survival in advanced cancer patients receiving palliative care.

Abstract
The catalytic ozonation of methylethylketone (MEK) was performed at the room temperature (25 °C) using the synthesized Mn and Cu-loaded zeolite (ZSM-5, SiO2/Al2O3 = 80) catalysts. The ZSM-5 zeolite was used as a porous support material due to the large surface area and high capacity for adsorption of volatile organic compounds. Since Mn and Cu-loaded zeolite catalysts were effective for the catalytic ozonation of VOCs such as MEK, according to the loaded concentration of Mn and Cu, there are four types of metal loaded ZSM5 catalysts synthesized [5 wt% Mn/ZSM-5, 5 wt% Cu/ZSM-5, 5 wt% Mn-1 wt% Cu/ZSM-5 (5Mn1CuZSM), and 5 wt% Cu-1 wt% Mn/ZSM-5]. The catalytic efficiency for the removal of MEK and ozonation using the different catalysts was also studied. Based on various experimental analysis processes, the characteristics of the synthesized catalysts were explored and the removal efficiencies of MEK and O3 together with the COx concentration generated from the destruction of MEK and O3 were explored. The results for the decomposition of MEK and O3 at the room temperature indicated that the Mn dominant ZSM-5 catalysts showed better efficiency for the conversion of MEK and O3. The 5 wt% Mn/ZSM-5 outweighed the rest of them for the removal of MEK while the 5Mn1CuZSM showed the best catalytic reactivity for the conversion of O3 and the CO2 selectivity. It was ascertained that during the reaction time of catalyst and reactants of 120 min the Mn dominantly deposited bimetallic catalyst, 5Mn1CuZSM, was determined as the most effective for the removal of MEK and O3 due to the high capability of production of Mn3+ species and more available adsorbed oxygen sites compared to the other catalysts. Finally, the durability measurement for the 5Mn1CuZSM catalyst was performed together with the produced CO and CO2 concentration for 420 min.

Abstract
Intermediate filaments form an essential structural network, spread throughout the cytoplasm, and play a key role in cell mechanics, intracellular organization, and molecular signaling. The maintenance of the network and its adaptation to the cell's dynamic behavior relies on several mechanisms implicating cytoskeletal crosstalk which are not fully understood. Mathematical modeling allows us to compare several biologically realistic scenarios to help us interpret experimental data. In this study we observe and model the dynamics of the vimentin intermediate filaments in single glial cells seeded on circular micropatterns following microtubule disruption by nocodazole treatment. In these conditions, the vimentin filaments move towards the cell center and accumulate before eventually reaching a steady state. In the absence of microtubule-driven transport, the motion of the vimentin network is primarily driven by actin-related mechanisms. To model these experimental findings, we hypothesize that vimentin may exist in two states, mobile and immobile, and switch between the states at unknown (either constant or nonconstant) rates. Mobile vimentin is assumed to advect with either constant or nonconstant velocity. We introduce several biologically realistic scenarios using this set of assumptions. For each scenario, we use differential evolution to find the best parameter sets resulting in a solution that most closely matches the experimental data and then the assumptions are evaluated using the Akaike information criterion. This modeling approach allows us to conclude that our experimental data are best explained by a spatially dependent trapping of intermediate filaments or a spatially dependent speed of actin-dependent transport.

Abstract
We propose an algorithmic framework of a pluripotent structure evolving from a simple compact structure into diverse complex 3D structures for designing the shape-transformable, reconfigurable, and deployable structures and robots. Our algorithmic approach suggests a way of transforming a compact structure consisting of uniform building blocks into a large, desired 3D shape. Analogous to a fertilized egg cell that can grow into a preprogrammed shape according to coded information, compactly stacked panels named the zygote structure can evolve into arbitrary 3D structures by programming their connection path. Our stacking algorithm obtains this coded sequence by inversely stacking the voxelized surface of the desired structure into a tree. Applying the connection path obtained by the stacking algorithm, the compactly stacked panels named the zygote structure can be deployed into diverse large 3D structures. We conceptually demonstrated our pluripotent evolving structure by energy-releasing commercial spring hinges and thermally actuated shape memory alloy hinges, respectively. We also show that the proposed concept enables the fabrication of large structures in a significantly smaller workspace.

Abstract
Classical methods of solving spatiotemporal dynamical systems include statistical approaches such as autoregressive integrated moving average, which assume linear and stationary relationships between systems' previous outputs. Development and implementation of linear methods are relatively simple, but they often do not capture non-linear relationships in the data. Thus, artificial neural networks (ANNs) are receiving attention from researchers in analyzing and forecasting dynamical systems. Recurrent neural networks (RNNs), derived from feed-forward ANNs, use internal memory to process variable-length sequences of inputs. This allows RNNs to be applicable for finding solutions for a vast variety of problems in spatiotemporal dynamical systems. Thus, in this paper, we utilize RNNs to treat some specific issues associated with dynamical systems. Specifically, we analyze the performance of RNNs applied to three tasks: reconstruction of correct Lorenz solutions for a system with a formulation error, reconstruction of corrupted collective motion trajectories, and forecasting of streamflow time series possessing spikes, representing three fields, namely, ordinary differential equations, collective motion, and hydrological modeling, respectively. We train and test RNNs uniquely in each task to demonstrate the broad applicability of RNNs in the reconstruction and forecasting the dynamics of dynamical systems.

Abstract
Microwave cavities have been deployed to search for bosonic dark matter candidates with masses of a few μeV. However, the sensitivity of these cavity detectors is limited by their volume, and the traditionally employed half-wavelength cavities suffer from a significant volume reduction at higher masses. Axion dark matter experiment (ADMX)-Orpheus mitigates this issue by operating a tunable, dielectrically loaded cavity at a higher-order mode, which allows the detection volume to remain large. The ADMX-Orpheus inaugural run excludes dark photon dark matter with kinetic mixing angle χ>10^{-13} between 65.5 μeV (15.8 GHz) and 69.3 μeV (16.8 GHz), marking the highest-frequency tunable microwave cavity dark matter search to date.

Abstract
Background
Although early recurrence (ER) within 3 months after atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation (AFCA) was recently reported to be a reliable predictor of late recurrence (LR), the mechanism is not clear.
Purpose
We explored the characteristics of patients with ER and compared the long-term late recurrence (LR) pattern depending on the existence of extra-pulmonary vein trigger (ExPV-trigger).
Methods
Among 3643 patients who underwent de novo AFCA, we included 1249 patients (59.2±11.0 years old, 31.3% persistent AF) who underwent isoproterenol provocation and regular follow-up over three years after AFCA. We evaluated the risk factors for ER and compared the patients with ER alone (10.1%), LR alone (16.6%), and ER+LR (15.9%), and the outcome of repeat procedure.
Results
Overall ER (ER alone and ER+LR) was independently associated with persistent AF (OR 1.58 [1.16–2.14], p=0.003), extra-PV triggers (OR 2.80 [1.90–4.13], p<0.001), and empirical extra-PV ablation (OR 1.54 [1.15–2.07], p=0.004). Overall LR (LR alone and ER+LR) risk was significantly higher in the ER with ExPV-trigger group than in ER without ExPV-trigger or no ER groups (Log-rank p<0.001). The rhythm outcome of the second procedure did not differ between ER+LR and LR alone groups (Log-rank p=0.160), but was worse in the ER+LR ExPV-trigger than in ER+LR without ExPV-trigger or LR alone groups (Log-rank p=0.005).
Conclusion
ER was independently associated with LR after de novo AFCA. ExPV-trigger played crucial roles in ER and LR after de novo AFCA and worse rhythm outcome after redo AFCA.

Background
Patients with low to intermediate risk atrial fibrillation (AF), defined as non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score of 0–1, are still at risk of stroke. This study verified the usefulness of ABCD score (Age [≥60 years], B-type natriuretic peptide [BNP] or N-terminal pro-BNP [≥300 pg/ml], Creatinine clearance [<50 ml/min/1.73 m2], and Dimension of the left atrium [≥45 mm]) for stroke risk stratification in non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score 0–1.
Methods
This multi-center cohort study retrospectively analyzed AF patients with non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score 0–1. The primary endpoint was the incidence of stroke with or without anti-thrombotic treatment (ATT). An ABCD score was also validated.
Results
Overall, 2694 patients (56.3±9.5 years; female, 726 [26.9%]) were followed-up for 4.0±2.8 years. The overall stroke rate was 0.84/100 person-years (P-Y), stratified as follows: 0.46/100P-Y for an ABCD score 0; 1.02/100P-Y for an ABCD score≥1. The ABCD score was superior to the non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score in stroke risk stratification (C-index=0.618, P=0.015; net reclassification improvement=0.576, P=0.040; integrated differential improvement=0.033, P=0.066). ATT was prescribed in 2353 patients (86.5%), and the stroke rate was significantly lower in patients receiving non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC) therapy and an ABCD score≥1 than in those without ATT (0.44/100P-Y versus 1.55/100 P-Y; hazard ratio=0.26, 95% confidence interval 0.11–0.63, P=0.003).
Conclusion
The biomarker-based ABCD score demonstrated improved stroke risk stratification in AF patients with non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score 0–1. Furthermore, NOAC with an ABCD score≥1 was associated with significantly lower stroke rate in AF patients with a non-gender CHA2DS2-VASc score 0–1.

Abstract
Extremely high beam-to-radiation energy conversion efficiencies can be obtained in a THz FEL using a strongly tapered helical undulator at the zero-slippage resonant condition, where a circular waveguide is used to match the radiation group velocity to the electron beam longitudinal velocity. In this paper we report on the first electro-optic sampling (EOS) based measurements of the broadband THz FEL radiation pulses emitted in this regime. The THz field waveforms are reconstructed in the spatial and temporal domains using multi-shot and single-shot EOS schemes respectively. The measurements are performed varying the input electron beam energy in the undulator providing insights on the complex dynamics in a waveguide FEL.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chemokine receptor CXCR4 antagonist plerixafor (Px) as well as high volume (HV) leukapheresis have been shown to reduce hematopoietic stem progenitor cell (HSPC) mobilization failure rates. However, no direct comparisons of such methods currently exists. METHODS AND MATERIALS We compared the HSPC collection yield based on basal peripheral blood CD34+ cell numbers in patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation in a retrospective chart review. The leukapheresis methods used included HV vs. regular volume (RV) with or without Px. There were 116 patients in the study group while the historical control group had 34 patients. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS Control group underwent RV leukapheresis without Px. Addition of Px or HV in the study group failed to display significant improvement in CD34+ cell collection yield; however, when basal CD34+ cell numbers were taken into account, both Px+RV and HV without Px increased CD34+ cell collection yield. The collection failure rates of HV without Px group were comparable to Px+RV when the basal CD34+ cell numbers were over 20/μL. Of interest, multivariate linear regression analysis did not detect any significant difference between HV vs Px+RV or other leukapheresis methods in CD34 yields or collection failure rates from a single collection after controlling for other factors (sex, age or underlying disease). In multivariate analysis, pre apheresis CD34+ cell number was significantly and positively associated with the CD34+ cell yields from a single apheresis. In our studies, the majority of patients can be rescued without Px by HV alone as a potential cost saving approach. In summary, trend in our studies reflects that both Px and HV are capable of reducing the mobilization failure rates except the poorest mobilizers which will need to be validated in larger studies. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Mycoplasma pneumoniae (M. pneumoniae) pneumonia is the second-most common cause of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). This study aimed at investigating into the prevalence of macrolide-resistant M. pneumoniae (MRMP) with respiratory virus co-infection and the antibiotic prescriptions in children with CAP in four provinces in Korea, and to assess the variations in the findings across regions and throughout the year. PATIENTS AND METHODS This prospective study was conducted in 29 hospitals in Korea between July 2018 and June 2020. Among the enrolled 1,063 children with CAP, all 451 patients with M. pneumoniae underwent PCR assays of M. pneumoniae and respiratory viruses, and the presence of point mutations of residues 2063 and 2064 was evaluated. RESULTS Gwangju-Honam (88.6%) showed the highest prevalence of MRMP pneumonia, while Daejeon-Chungcheong (71.3%) showed the lowest, although the differences in prevalence were not significant (p=0.074). Co-infection of M. pneumoniae pneumonia and respiratory virus was observed in 206 patients (45.4%), and rhinovirus co-infection (101 children; 22.2%) was the most frequent. The prevalence of MRMP pneumonia with respiratory virus co-infection and the antibiotic prescriptions differed significantly among the four provinces (p < 0.05). The monthly rate of MRMP pneumonia cases among all cases of M. pneumoniae pneumonia and tetracycline or quinolone prescriptions did not differ significantly among the four regions (trend p > 0.05) during the study period. CONCLUSIONS The prevalence of M. pneumoniae pneumonia with virus co-infection and antibiotic prescriptions could differ according to region, although the MRMP pneumonia rate showed no difference within Korea.

Abstract
Peptide fragmentation spectra contain critical information for the identification of peptides by mass spectrometry. In this study, we developed an algorithm that more accurately predicts the high-intensity peaks among the peptide spectra. The training data are composed of 180,833 peptides from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Proteomics Identification database, which were fragmented by either quadrupole time-of-flight or triple-quadrupole collision-induced dissociation methods. Exploratory analysis of the peptide fragmentation pattern was focused on the highest intensity peaks that showed proline, peptide length, and a sliding window of four amino acid combination that can be exploited as key features. The amino acid sequence of each peptide and each of the key features were allocated to different layers of the model, where recurrent neural network, convolutional neural network, and fully connected neural network were used. The trained model, PrAI-frag, accurately predicts the fragmentation spectra compared to previous machine learning-based prediction algorithms. The model excels at high-intensity peak prediction, which is advantageous to selective/multiple reaction monitoring application. PrAI-frag is provided via a Web server which can be used for peptides of length 6-15.

Abstract
BackgroundAnkylosing spondylitis (AS) is a heritable inflammatory disease eventually leading to spinal fusion 1. Severity of structural damage is highly variable, some patients develop almost no change in spinal structure for long disease duration, whereas others have total ankylosis even in the early stage of disease.ObjectivesTo identify clinical and genetic factors associated with severe radiographic damage in patients with AS.MethodsWe newly generated genome-wide variant data (833K, KoreanChip) of 444 AS patients. The severity of radiographic damage was assessed using the modified Stoke Ankylosing Spondylitis Spinal Score (mSASSS). To identify clinical and genetic factors associated with severe radiographic damage, multiple linear regression analyses were performed. Human AS osteoprogenitor cells were used for functional validation. Pathway analysis was also conducted.ResultsA total 444 AS patients (male 90.3%) were enrolled. The median mSASSS at baseline was 7.7 (5.5-16.8). The patients were observed for 9.6 (7.9-11.3) years. Within this period, the median mSASSS score increased to 14.0 (7.0-36.8). The most influential clinical factor of final mSASSS was baseline mSASSS (β = 0.818, p < 0.001). Peripheral joint involvement was associated with decreased possibility of severe radiographic damage (β = -0.221, p < 0.001). Eye involvement, longer follow up duration, and increased age at enrollment were associated with increased final mSASSS (β = 0.165, p < 0.001; β = 0.039, p < 0.001; β = 0.010, p = 0.002, respectively). Ryanodine receptor 3 (RYR3) gene was associated with severe radiographic damage (β = 1.105, p = 1.97x10-06). Treatment with Rhodamine B, a ligand of RYR3, induced extracellular matrix mineralization of AS osteoprogenitors in vitro. For the pathway analysis, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and focal adhesion pathway were associated with severe radiographic damage in AS.ConclusionThis study identified clinical and genetic factors that contributed to better understanding of the pathogenesis and biology associated with radiographic damage in AS.References[1]Li Z, Brown MA. Abstract
OBJECTIVE This meta-analysis aims to assess the susceptibility to and clinical outcomes of COVID-19 in autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease (AIRD) and following AIRD drug use. MATERIALS AND METHODS We included observational and case-controlled studies assessing susceptibility and clinical outcomes of COVID-19 in patients with AIRD as well as the clinical outcomes of COVID-19 with or without use of steroids and conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs). RESULTS Meta-analysis including three studies showed that patients with AIRD are not more susceptible to COVID-19 compared to patients without AIRD or the general population (OR: 1.11, 95% CI: 0.58 to 2.14). Incidence of severe outcomes of COVID-19 (OR: 1.34, 95% CI: 0.76 to 2.35) and COVID-19 related death (OR: 1.21, 95% CI: 0.68 to 2.16) also did not show significant difference. The clinical outcomes of COVID-19 among AIRD patients with and without csDMARD or steroid showed that both use of steroid (OR: 1.69, 95% CI: 0.96 to 2.98) or csDMARD (OR: 1.35, 95% CI: 0.63 to 3.08) had no effect on clinical outcomes of COVID-19. CONCLUSIONS AIRD does not increase susceptibility to COVID-19, not affecting the clinical outcome of COVID-19. Similarly, the use of steroids or csDMARDs for AIRD does not worsen the clinical outcome.

Abstract
Various environmental stresses can induce production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) to turn on signaling for proper responses to those stresses. Plasma membrane (PM)-localized respiratory burst oxidase homologs (RBOHs), in particular RBOHD, produce ROS via the post-translational activation upon abiotic and biotic stresses. Although the mechanisms of RBOHD activation upon biotic stress have been elucidated in detail, it remains elusive how salinity stress activates RBOHD. Here, we present evidence that trafficking of PM-localized RBOHD to endosomes and then its recycling back to the PM is critical for ROS accumulation upon salinity stress. ateca4 plants that were defective in recycling of proteins from endosomes to the PM and clc2-1 and chc2-1 plants that were defective in endocytosis showed a defect in salinity stress-induced ROS production. In addition, ateca4 plants showed a defect in transient accumulation of GFP:RBOHD to the PM at the early stage of salinity stress. By contrast, ateca4 plants showed no defect in the increase in the ROS level and accumulation of RBOHD to the PM upon flg22 treatment as wild-type plants. Based on these observations, we propose that factors involved in the trafficking machinery such as AtECA4 and clathrin are important players in salt stress-induced, but not flg22-induced, ROS accumulation.

Abstract
We study the dynamics of membrane vesicle motor transport into dendritic spines, which are bulbous intracellular compartments in neurons that play a key role in transmitting signals between neurons. We consider the stochastic analog of the vesicle transport model in [Park and Fai, The Dynamics of Vesicles Driven Into Closed Constrictions by Molecular Motors. Bull. Math. Biol. 82, 141 (2020)]. The stochastic version, which may be considered as an agent-based model, relies mostly on the action of individual myosin motors to produce vesicle motion. To aid in our analysis, we coarse-grain this agent-based model using a master equation combined with a partial differential equation describing the probability of local motor positions. We confirm through convergence studies that the coarse-graining captures the essential features of bistability in velocity (observed in experiments) and waiting-time distributions to switch between steady-state velocities. Interestingly, these results allow us to reformulate the translocation problem in terms of conditional mean first passage times for a run-and-tumble particle moving on a finite domain with absorbing boundaries at the two ends. We conclude by presenting numerical and analytical calculations of vesicle translocation.

Abstract
CONTEXT Spiritual well-being (SWB) is significant for patients with life-limiting illnesses. Thus, shortened versions of questions would be helpful in approaching SWB. OBJECTIVES Our goal was to develop a one-item screening question to assess the SWB of advanced cancer inpatients. METHODS This was a cross-sectional, multicenter study involving adult advanced cancer inpatients from seven palliative care units in South Korea. The candidate one-item questions were three questions scored using numeric rating scales from 0 to 10: feeling at peace (Are you at peace?), self-rated spirituality (Do you think of yourself as a spiritual person?), and self-rated religiosity (Do you think of yourself as a religious person?). The Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Spirituality 12 (FACIT-Sp-12) comprised of two subscales Meaning/Peace and Faith was used to assess SWB. Pearson's correlation test was conducted to determine the relationship between the three questions, the total FACIT-Sp-12 score, and its subscales. RESULTS A total of 202 patients were enrolled. A strong correlation was observed between self-rated spirituality (r = 0.732 and 0.790; P < 0.001 and < 0.001 respectively) and religiosity (r = 0.708 and 0.758; P < 0.001 and < 0.001 respectively) with the total FACIT-Sp-12 scores and faith subscale scores. Feeling at peace showed a moderate correlation with the total of FACIT-Sp-12 scores (r = 0.505, P < 0.01). All three questions had a moderate correlation with the meaning/peace subscale. CONCLUSION Self-rated spirituality and religiosity showed better convergence validity than feeling at peace. Therefore, we recommend self-rated spirituality or religiosity as a one-item question for screening SWB in inpatients with advanced cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Some factors associated with spiritual well-being in dying patients have previously been reported. However, there has been no cross-cultural study comparing factors related to spiritual well-being. The current investigation may shed light on this under-investigated area through a comparison of diverse factors. AIM We aimed to (1) examine factors associated with spiritual well-being in the last days and (2) compare those factors across three East Asian countries. DESIGN This is an international multicenter prospective cohort study. SETTING/PARTICIPANTS Newly admitted inpatients with far advanced cancer in palliative care units in Japan, Korea and Taiwan were enrolled. Each patient was classified into one of two groups based on spiritual well-being score in the last days of life. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify the factors related to better spiritual well-being score in each country. RESULTS A total of 1761 patients treated at 37 palliative care units from January 2017 to September 2018 were analyzed. Seven variables were significant in Japan, three in Korea, and five in Taiwan. "Good death scale [acceptance]," "fatigue" and "expressed wish for hastened death" were unique in Japan. "Visit from a pastoral care worker within 48 h of death" was unique in Korea. "Patient's preferences for place of death," "dyspnea" and "continuous deep sedation" were unique in Taiwan. CONCLUSIONS This study found novel factors related to spiritual well-being in the last days of life, several of which differed according to country. Recognition of factors associated with spiritual well-being can improve the quality of palliative care.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prognostic significance of videofluorographic swallowing study (VFSS)-confirmed oropharyngeal dysphagia in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs). METHOD We reviewed the medical records of patients who were diagnosed with IIM between 2009 and 2020 at Seoul St Mary's Hospital. All oropharyngeal dysphagia cases were limited to VFSS-confirmed dysphagia found during the initial diagnostic work-up for IIM. We described the findings on VFSS and the course of the dysphagic symptoms. Logistic regression and survival analyses were performed to evaluate the risk of pneumonia and mortality, respectively. RESULTS We found 88 patients with IIM who met the criteria. Among them, 17 patients (19%) had oropharyngeal dysphagia. Except for two cases lost to follow-up and one deceased case, all of the patients with dysphagia (14 of 14) had swallowing function restored within 6 months. The risk of pneumonia within 3 months from the diagnosis of IIM was significant [odds ratio = 4.49, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.07-18.88]. The median follow-up duration was 34 and 27 months for the groups without and with dysphagia, respectively. The survival analysis failed to demonstrate that the presence of oropharyngeal dysphagia increased the risk of death (hazard ratio = 0.77, 95% CI: 0.085-7.00). CONCLUSIONS Oropharyngeal dysphagia found at the initial diagnosis of IIM improved within 3-6 months in nearly all cases. Furthermore, IIM patients who had oropharyngeal dysphagia at the initial diagnosis of IIM were not likely to have shorter survival, even if the risk of pneumonia was increased in the short term.

Abstract
Influenza epidemics frequently and unpredictably break out all over the world, and seriously affect the breeding industry and human activity. Inactivated and live attenuated viruses have been used as protective vaccines but exhibit high risks for biosafety. Subunit vaccines enjoy high biosafety and specificity but have a few weak points compared to inactivated virus or live attenuated virus vaccines, especially in low immunogenicity. In this study, we developed a new subunit vaccine platform for a potent, adjuvant-free, and multivalent vaccination. The ectodomains of hemagglutinins (HAs) of influenza viruses were expressed in plants as trimers (tHAs) to mimic their native forms. tHAs in plant extracts were directly used without purification for binding to inactivated Lactococcus (iLact) to produce iLact-tHAs, an antigen-carrying bacteria-like particle (BLP). tHAs BLP showed strong immune responses in mice and chickens without adjuvants. Moreover, simultaneous injection of two different antigens by two different formulas, tHAH5N6 + H9N2 BLP or a combination of tHAH5N6 BLP and tHAH9N2 BLP, led to strong immune responses to both antigens. Based on these results, we propose combinations of plant-based antigen production and BLP-based delivery as a highly potent and cost-effective platform for multivalent vaccination for subunit vaccines.

Abstract
Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is a non-enveloped, icosahedral virus of the Circoviridae family, with a small, circular, single-stranded DNA genome. PCV2 infections cause substantial economic losses in the pig industry worldwide. Currently, commercially produced PCV2 vaccines are expensive, whereas plant-based expression systems can produce recombinant proteins at low cost for use as vaccines. In this study, recombinant PCV2 capsid protein (rCap) was transiently expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana and purified by metal affinity chromatography, with a yield of 102 mg from 1 kg plant leaves. Electron microscopy confirmed that purified rCap self-assembled into virus-like particles (VLPs) at neutral pH. It was shown to provoke a strong immune response in guinea pigs. The results indicate that plant systems can enable production of large amounts of proteins to serve as candidates for subunit vaccines.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to develop a machine learning (ML) based model to accurately predict pathologic complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) using pretreatment clinical and pathological characteristics of electronic medical record (EMR) data in breast cancer (BC). METHODS The EMR data from patients diagnosed with early and locally advanced BC and who received NAC followed by curative surgery were reviewed. A total of 16 clinical and pathological characteristics was selected to develop ML model. We practiced six ML models using default settings for multivariate analysis with extracted variables. RESULTS In total, 2065 patients were included in this analysis. Overall, 30.6% (n = 632) of patients achieved pCR. Among six ML models, the LightGBM had the highest area under the curve (AUC) for pCR prediction. After hyper-parameter tuning with Bayesian optimization, AUC was 0.810. Performance of pCR prediction models in different histology-based subtypes was compared. The AUC was highest in HR+HER2- subgroup and lowest in HR-/HER2- subgroup (HR+/HER2- 0.841, HR+/HER2+ 0.716, HR-/HER2 0.753, HR-/HER2- 0.653). CONCLUSIONS A ML based pCR prediction model using pre-treatment clinical and pathological characteristics provided useful information to predict pCR during NAC. This prediction model would help to determine treatment strategy in patients with BC planned NAC.

Abstract
VLPs are virus-like particles that comprise viral capsid proteins that can self-assemble and mimic the shape and size of real viral particles; however, because they do not contain genetic material they cannot infect host cells. VLPs have great potential as safe drug/vehicle candidates; therefore, they are gaining popularity in the field of preventive medicine and therapeutics. Indeed, extensive studies are underway to examine their role as carriers for immunization and as vehicles for delivery of therapeutic agents. Here, we examined the possibility of developing VLP-utilizing technology based on an efficient VLP production process and high-resolution structural analysis. Nicotiana benthamiana was used as an expression platform to produce the coat protein of the alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV-CP). About 250 mg/kg of rAMV-CP was produced from Nicotiana benthamiana leaves. Structural analysis revealed that the oligomeric status of rAMV-CP changed according to the composition and pH of the buffer. Size exclusion chromatography and electron microscopy analysis confirmed the optimal conditions for rAMV-CP VLP formation, and a 2.4 Å resolution structure was confirmed by cryo-EM analysis. Based on the efficient protein production, VLP manufacturing technology, and high-resolution structure presented herein, we suggest that rAMV-CP VLP is a useful platform for development of various new drugs.

Abstract
Background:Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a severe extra-articular manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, there are few prospective studies for the natural course of lung physiology in most patients with RA-ILD.Objectives:To assess the natural course of lung physiology of RA-ILD and the relation between arthritis activity and pulmonary physiology in patients with RA-ILD.Methods:The KOrean Rheumatoid Arthritis ILd (KORAIL) cohort is the prospective observational cohort and aims to investigate the natural course of RAILD. Based on either 1987 or 2020 ACR criteria, patients diagnosed with RA and ILD based on CT scan were recruited from six tertiary medical hospitals in Korea since January 2015. RA disease activity was assessed using swollen and tender joint count by treating physician, inflammatory markers including CRP and ESR, and patient’s global assessment annually. Pulmonary function tests (PFT), including FVC, FEV1, DLCO, and chest CT scan, were conducted annually.Results:We analyzed 163 patients at baseline (V1), 141 at 1-year (V2), 122 at 2-year (V3), and 88 at 3-year follow-up (V4). The mean (±SD) duration since RA diagnosis and since ILD diagnosis was 7.6±8.0 and 2.7±3.1 years, respectively. The female to male ratio was about 2:1, and 58.9% of patients (n=96) were 65 years old or older. Only two patients were negative for RF and anti-CCP; 98.7% of patients (n=161/163) were positive for RF (n=143, 87.7%) or anti-CCP antibody (n=154, 94.5%). At enrollment, one-hundred-nine patients (66.9%) had FVC ≥80 % of predicted. Twenty-five patients (15.3%) showed FEV1/FVC≥0.7, of which seventeen patients, only ten percent of a total cohort (10.4%), had FVC ≥80% of predicted, which corresponds to the obstructive pattern. Proportion of patients showed a ≥10-point decline from the enrollment in FVC of the predicted value were around 10% at every year (Table 1). The proportion of patients with a relative decline of ≥10% from the enrollment in FVC predicted was increased every year because of cumulation. The proportion of patients with a relative decline of ≥10% from the previous visit in FVC predicted was also around 10-15% every year. Proportions of patients with 55% or more DLco % pred. has been decreased annually; 78.5% (n=128/158) at V1, 72.9% (n=105/139) at V2, 68.7% (n=90/117) at V3, and 56.6% (n=56/85) at V4. Patients with a relative decline of ≥10% from the enrollment in DLco predicted was 38 (27.5 %) at V2 and 37 (31.9%) at V3. Patients with a relative decline of ≥10% from the previous visit in DLco predicted was 29 (25.2%) at V3. According to the transition of DAS28-ESR status, we classified patients into four groups: Group A. persistent remission or low disease activity, Group B. improvement, Group C. worsening, Group D. persistent moderate to high disease activity.Results:We analyzed 143 patients who completed a 2-year follow-up (visit 2) or had died with available PFT results at least twice. Mean duration since RA diagnosis and since ILD diagnosis was 7.6±8.0 and 2.7±3.1 years, respectively. Twenty-four patients were Group A, 33 Group B, 10 Group C and 30 Group D. The mean of FVC (mL) and % of the predicted value in FVC was significantly lower in Group D than in other groups (Table 1). The annual rate of decline in FVC was -42 (95% CI -93~10) mL·year-1 in Group B while -113 (95% CI -206~-21) mL·year-1 in Group C (Figure 1A). The annual decline rate in Group C was further exaggerated in patients with ≥ 80% of FVC predicted (-141, 95% CI -251~-32 mL·year-1). During two years of follow-up, patients ever experienced a relative decline of ≥10% from the enrollment in FVC predicted was 27.3%(n-9/33) in Group B whereas 30.0% (3/10) in Group C. The annual rate of decline in % of DLco predicted value was also the largest in Group C (-4.6 %·year-1, 95%CI -8.5~-0.7), which further exaggerated in patients with ≥ 80% of FVC predicted (-4.9%·year-1, 95 %CI -8.3~-1.5, Figure 1B). However, the effect of RA treatment on the course of ILD is not yet known.Objectives:To assess the effect of RA treatment on the course of lung physiology of RA-focusing on biologic DMARDs treatment.Methods:The Korean Rheumatoid Arthritis ILd (KORAIL) cohort is the prospective observational cohort and aims to investigate the natural course of RAILD. Based on either 1987 or 2020 ACR criteria, patients diagnosed with RA and ILD based on CT scan were recruited from six tertiary medical hospitals in Korea since January 2015. RA disease activity was assessed using disease activity (DAS)28-ESR and CRP, annually. Pulmonary function tests (PFT), including FVC and DLCO were conducted annually. In the current study, we analyzed patients who completed a 2-years follow-up or had died during those terms till October 2020. They classified patients into three groups: patients treated with abatacept ≥24 weeks ever (Group 1), those with other bDAMRDs ≥24 weeks ever (Group 2), and those without any bDMARDs or with bDMARDs <24 weeks (Group 3).Results:Of a total of 125 patients who completed 2-year follow-up, 21 patients were classified as Group 1, 26 for Group 2, and 78 for Group 3. The mean age or the number of patients with ≥ 65-year-old was comparable between groups(Table 1). The mean duration since RA diagnosis was shorter in Group 3, but that since ILD diagnosis was comparable. DAS28-ESR score was comparable between Group 1 and 2 at enrollment, so was in 1-year-follow-up (p=0.75) and 2-year-follow-up (p=1.00). FVC and % of the predicted value in FVC, FEV1, and DLco were also comparable among the three groups at enrollment. The numbers of patients with ≥10-point decline in % of FVC predicted was 2 (10.0%) for Group 1, 1 (3.8%) for Group 2, 3 (3.9%) for Group3 during the first 1-year follow-up, and 3 (15.8%), 3 (11.5%), 10 (14.1%) during the last 1-year follow up. The percent of FVC predicted was 81.6 ± 17.5 %, 87.4 ± 17.9 %, 85.2 ± 17.7 % for Group 1,2 and 3, respectively, at 1-year-follow-up, and 79.5 ± 18.8 %, 89.0 ± 16.8 %, 83.5 ± 17.3 % at 2-year-follow-up. (Figure 1A). Abstract
BACKGROUND Whether race/ethnicity plays a role in hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPC) mobilization in autologous donors has not been studied. We hypothesize that donor characteristic including race/ethnicity, age, sex, body mass index, and diagnostic groups influences HSPC mobilization. Diagnostic groups include healthy allogeneic donors, autologous multiple myeloma (MM) and non-MM donors. STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS Here, we conducted a single-center retrospective study in 64 autologous patients and 48 allogeneic donors. Autologous donors were patients diagnosed with MM or non-MM. All donors were grouped as African American (AA), White (W), or "Other"(O). RESULTS Multivariate analysis demonstrated diagnostic group differences for CD34+ cell yields between race/ethnicity. Specifically, non-MM patients had the lowest CD34+ cell yields in AA and O, but not in W. For pre-apheresis peripheral blood (PB) CD34+ cell numbers, race/ethnicity had a significant effect both in bivariate and multivariate analyses. Non-MM patients had the lowest, and AA patients had the highest PB CD34+ cells. The results support the view that past therapies used in MM are likely more conducive of recovery of HSPC. CONCLUSIONS Our study shows that race/ethnicity and diagnostic group differences influenced CD34+ cell mobilization response across donor types. Interestingly, autologous MM donors with the aid of plerixafor displayed comparable CD34 yields to allogeneic donors. Even though both MM and non-MM donors received plerixafor, non-MM donors had significantly lower CD34 yields among AA and O donors but not in W donors. Larger studies would be required to validate the role of diagnostic groups and race/ethnicity interactions.

Backgroud
Sinus rhythm (SR) can be maintained with antiarrhythmic drugs (AADs) in a considerable number of patients with recurrent atrial fibrillation (AF) after AF catheter ablation (AFCA).
Purpose
We explored the characteristics and long-term outcomes of patients who maintained clinically acceptable rhythm control with AADs for 2 years.
Methods
Among 2,935 consecutive AAD-resistant patients who underwent a de novo AFCA, we included 512 recurrent patients (73.0% men, 59.2 ± 10.5 years old, 56.4% paroxysmal AF) who were followed up for over 2 years under AAD medications.
Results
In total, 218 patients remained in SR (AAD-responders[2-yrs], 42.6%) and 294 had recurrent AF among whom, 162 underwent repeat procedures (redo-AFCA[AAD failure-2-yrs]). We also compared the AAD-responders[2-yrs] with 40 patients who underwent AFCA before AADs (redo-AFCA[Before AAD]). AAD-responders[2-yrs] were independently associated with an old age (odds ratio [OR] 1.02 [1.00-1.04] p = 0.037), paroxysmal AF (OR 1.51 [1.04-2.19] p = 0.003), and a delayed recurrence timing of > 18 months (OR 1.52 [1.04-2.22] p = 0.032). When comparing the AAD-responder[2-yrs] and redo-AFCA[AAD failure-2-yrs] groups, the recurrence pattern showed a convergence after 7 years. The overall rhythm outcome was better in the redo-AFCA[Before AAD] group than AAD group (log rank p = 0.013).
Conclusion
Among the patients with recurrent AF after AFCA, over 40% remained in SR with AADs for 2 years, especially those who were old, those with a paroxysmal type, and those who had a delayed recurrence timing of >18 months after the de novo procedure. Abstract
A classical swine fever virus (CSFV)-modified live LOM (low-virulence strain of Miyagi) vaccine (MLV-LOM) to combat CSF has been used in places where the disease is prevalent around the world, including in Korea, except in Jeju Island. In general, modified live virus-based vaccines (MLV) are known to be highly effective in inducing immune responses. At the same time, MLVs also have potential dangers such as a circulation in the field. There is still a need for safer and more effective vaccines to control CSF in the field. In this study, we applied a new CSF vaccine based on plant-produced recombinant E2 marker proteins at two different locations, Jeju Island and a suburb of Pohang, using different CSF control strategies. The result suggested that vaccinated sows in Jeju Island highly developed immunogenicity and maintained stably until 102 days post-vaccination (dpv). Its piglets that received maternal antibodies were shown to carry high serological values and maintained them until 40 days of age, which was the end of the follow-up. Naïve piglets vaccinated at 40 days of age showed high serological values and these were maintained until 100 days of age (60 dpv), which was the end of the follow-up. The vaccine was also effective in inducing immune responses in newborn piglets that carried maternal antibodies received from MLV-LOM vaccine-immunized mother sows.

Abstract
Patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are at increased risk of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture. This study investigated whether IBS medication attenuated the rate of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture risk. We conducted a retrospective large-scale multicenter study across eight hospital databases encoded in the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM). The primary outcome was the incidence of osteoporosis, whereas secondary outcomes were osteoporotic fractures. After 1:4 matching, 24,723 IBS patients, 78,318 non-IBS patients, 427,640 non-IBS patients with IBS medication, and 827,954 non-IBS patients without IBS medication were selected. The risk of osteoporosis was significantly increased in the IBS group compared to the non-IBS group (hazard ratio (HR) 1.33; confidence interval (CI) 1.17~1.51). Even in patients who were not diagnosed with IBS, the risk of osteoporosis was significantly increased in those with IBS medication compared to those without (HR 1.77, CI 1.62~1.93). The risk of osteoporotic fracture was significantly increased in the IBS medication group (HR 1.69, CI 1.55~1.84). Patients exposed to IBS treatment even without IBS diagnosis were at increased risk of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture. Early diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis should be considered in patients who have received medication for IBS symptoms.

Abstract
Several prognosis prediction models have been developed for breast cancer (BC) patients with curative surgery, but there is still an unmet need to precisely determine BC prognosis for individual BC patients in real time. This is a retrospectively collected data analysis from adjuvant BC registry at Samsung Medical Center between January 2000 and December 2016. The initial data set contained 325 clinical data elements: baseline characteristics with demographics, clinical and pathologic information, and follow-up clinical information including laboratory and imaging data during surveillance. Weibull Time To Event Recurrent Neural Network (WTTE-RNN) by Martinsson was implemented for machine learning. We searched for the optimal window size as time-stamped inputs. To develop the prediction model, data from 13,117 patients were split into training (60%), validation (20%), and test (20%) sets. The median follow-up duration was 4.7 years and the median number of visits was 8.4. We identified 32 features related to BC recurrence and considered them in further analyses. Performance at a point of statistics was calculated using Harrell's C-index and area under the curve (AUC) at each 2-, 5-, and 7-year points. After 200 training epochs with a batch size of 100, the C-index reached 0.92 for the training data set and 0.89 for the validation and test data sets. The AUC values were 0.90 at 2-year point, 0.91 at 5-year point, and 0.91 at 7-year point. The deep learning-based final model outperformed three other machine learning-based models. In terms of pathologic characteristics, the median absolute error (MAE) and weighted mean absolute error (wMAE) showed great results of as little as 3.5%. This BC prognosis model to determine the probability of BC recurrence in real time was developed using information from the time of BC diagnosis and the follow-up period in RNN machine learning model.

Abstract
The efficacy of a novel subunit vaccine candidate, based in the CSFV E2 glycoprotein produced in plants to prevent classical swine fever virus (CSFV) vertical transmission, was evaluated. A Nicotiana benthamiana tissue culture system was used to obtain a stable production of the E2-glycoprotein fused to the porcine Fc region of IgG. Ten pregnant sows were divided into three groups: Groups 1 and 2 (four sows each) were vaccinated with either 100 μg/dose or 300 μg/dose of the subunit vaccine at 64 days of pregnancy. Group 3 (two sows) was injected with PBS. Groups 1 and 2 were boosted with the same vaccine dose. At 10 days post second vaccination, the sows in Groups 2 and 3 were challenged with a highly virulent CSFV strain. The vaccinated sows remained clinically healthy and seroconverted rapidly, showing efficient neutralizing antibodies. The fetuses from vaccinated sows did not show gross lesions, and all analyzed tissue samples tested negative for CSFV replication. However, fetuses of non-vaccinated sows had high CSFV replication in tested tissue samples. The results suggested that in vaccinated sows, the plant produced E2 marker vaccine induced the protective immunogenicity at challenge, leading to protection from vertical transmission to fetuses.

Abstract
We present the first joint analysis of cluster abundances and auto or cross-correlations of three cosmic tracer fields: galaxy density, weak gravitational lensing shear, and cluster density split by optical richness. From a joint analysis (4×2pt+N) of cluster abundances, three cluster cross-correlations, and the auto correlations of the galaxy density measured from the first year data of the Dark Energy Survey, we obtain Ω_{m}=0.305_{-0.038}^{+0.055} and σ_{8}=0.783_{-0.054}^{+0.064}. This result is consistent with constraints from the DES-Y1 galaxy clustering and weak lensing two-point correlation functions for the flat νΛCDM model. Consequently, we combine cluster abundances and all two-point correlations from across all three cosmic tracer fields (6×2pt+N) and find improved constraints on cosmological parameters as well as on the cluster observable-mass scaling relation. This analysis is an important advance in both optical cluster cosmology and multiprobe analyses of upcoming wide imaging surveys.

Abstract
UNLABELLED The mortality risk showed a positive correlation as the number of subsequent fractures increased. Hip fracture showed the greatest association with mortality risk, followed by vertebral fracture. For the combination of hip and vertebral fracture, a hip fracture after a vertebral fracture showed the highest mortality risk. INTRODUCTION It is unclear whether subsequent fractures or a certain location and sequence of subsequent fractures are associated with mortality risk in the elderly. We aimed to investigate the relationship between subsequent fractures and mortality risk. METHODS Using the Korean National Health Insurance Research Database, we analyzed the cohort data of 24,756 patients aged > 60 years who sustained fractures between 2002 and 2013. Cox regression was used to assess the mortality risk associated with the number, locations, and sequences of subsequent fractures. RESULTS Mortality hazard ratios (HRs) for women and men were shown to be associated with the number of subsequent fractures (one, 1.63 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.48-1.80) and 1.42 (95% CI, 1.28-1.58); two, 1.75 (95% CI, 1.47-2.08) and 2.03 (95% CI, 1.69-2.43); three or more, 2.46(95% CI, 1.92-3.15) and 1.92 (95% CI, 1.34-2.74), respectively). For women, the mortality risk was high when hip (HR, 2.49; 95% CI, 1.80-3.44) or vertebral (HR, 1.40; 95% CI, 1.03-1.90) fracture occurred as a second fracture. Compared with a single hip fracture, there was a high mortality risk in the group with hip fracture after the first vertebral fracture (HR, 2.90; 95% CI, 1.86-4.54), followed by vertebral fracture after the first hip fracture (HR, 1.90; 95% CI, 1.12-3.22). CONCLUSION The mortality risk showed a positive correlation as the number of subsequent fractures increased. Hip fracture showed the greatest association with mortality risk, followed by vertebral fracture. For the combination of hip and vertebral fracture, a hip fracture after a vertebral fracture showed the highest mortality risk.
