Abstract
Objective: To analyze the efficacy and safety of first-line treatment with an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody regimen for primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL). Methods: Patients diagnosed with pPCL from December 1st, 2018 to July 26th, 2023, receiving first-line treatment of anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody-based regimens across multiple centers including Peking University People's Hospital, Fuxing Hospital of Capital Medical University, Qingdao Municipal Hospital, Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University, Handan Central Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University and General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University were consecutively included. A total of 24 pPCL patients were included with thirteen being male and eleven being female. The median age [M(Q1, Q3)] was 60 (57, 70) years. Patients were grouped according to peripheral blood plasma cell (PBPC) percentage [5%-19% (n=14) vs ≥20% (n=10)]. Last follow-up date was September 26th, 2023. The median follow-up period was 9.1 (4.2, 15.5) months. Patients' data related with clinical baseline characteristics, efficacy, survival and safety were retrospectively collected. Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to analyze risk factors associated with survival. Results: Among 24 pPCL patients, 16 (66.7%) patients had anemia at diagnosis, 13(54.2%) patients had thrombocytopenia, 8 (33.3%) patients had a baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)<40 ml·min-1·(1.73m2)-1, 13 (54.2%) patients had elevated lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels. The median PBPC percentage was 16% (8%, 26%) . Fluorescence in situ hybridization testing indicated that patients harboring 17p deletion, t(4;14) or t(14;16) were 6 (25.0%), 4 (16.7%) and 4 (16.7%), respectively. The overall response rate was 83.3% (20/24). The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 20.5 (95%CI: 15.8-25.2) months, and the median overall survival (OS) was not reached. Estimated 1-year and 2-year PFS and OS rates were 75.0% and 89.1%, 37.5% and 53.4%, respectively. The median PFS and OS for patients with PBPC percentages 5%-19% and≥20% were not reached and 20.5 (95%CI:15.7-25.3) months, 17.8 months and not reached, respectively. There was no significant statistical difference of PFS and OS between two groups (all P>0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that 1p32 deletion was the risk factor associated with PFS (HR=7.7, 95%CI: 1.1-54.9, P=0.043). Seventeen patients (70.8%) developed grade 3-4 hematologic toxicities. Twelve patients (50.0%) developed grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia. Sixteen patients (66.7%) developed infection. All hematologic toxicities and infections were improved after supportive treatment. Conclusion: First-line treatment with anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody-based therapy for pPCL is effective and safe.

Abstract
In recent years, the utilization of medical devices has gradually increased and implantation procedures have become common treatments. However, patients are susceptible to the risk of implant infections. This study utilized chemical grafting to immobilize polyethylenimine (QPEI) and hyaluronic acid (HA) on the surface of the mesh to improve biocompatibility while being able to achieve antifouling antimicrobial effects. From the in vitro testing, PP-PDA-Q-HA exhibited a high antibacterial ratio of 93% against S. aureus, 93% against E. coli, and 85% against C. albicans. In addition, after five rounds of antimicrobial testing, the coating continued to exhibit excellent antimicrobial properties; PP-PDA-Q-HA also inhibits the formation of bacterial biofilms. In addition, PP-PDA-Q-HA has good hemocompatibility and cytocompatibility. In vivo studies in animal implantation infection models also demonstrated the excellent antimicrobial properties of PP-PDA-Q-HA. Our study provides a promising strategy for the development of antimicrobial surface medical materials with excellent biocompatibility.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the epidemic characteristics of mumps in people aged 0-14 years in Jiangxi Province and the vaccination situation of mumps-containing vaccines (including mumps vaccines) from 2015 to 2022 to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of mumps epidemic in Jiangxi Province. Methods: The mumps epidemic situation and mumps vaccination data in Jiangxi Province from 2015 to 2022 were obtained from Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System and Jiangxi Immunization Program Information System and were analyzed using descriptive epidemiological methods. The chi-square test, cluster analysis, and Cochran-Armitage trend test were used for statistical analysis. Results: From 2015 to 2022, a total of 40 734 cases of mumps were reported in people aged 0-14 in Jiangxi Province, with an annual average reported incidence rate of 53.69/100 000, and the peak of incidence occurred in aged 6-7 years group, and the reported incidence rate was 86.43/100 000. The high incidence seasons in 2015-2019 were summer and winter, and there was no significant high incidence season in 2020-2022. Mumps outbreaks mainly occurred in Shangrao, Ganzhou, and Ji'an, and the outbreak sites were mainly reported primary schools. From 2015 to 2019, the 1-year group was the primary age group for vaccination against mumps, while from 2020 to 2021, it was 0 and 1-year groups. Conclusions: From 2015 to 2022, the incidence of mumps in the population aged 0-14 in Jiangxi Province showed a downward trend, and the peak of incidence occurred in age group 6-7 years. It is suggested to continue to strengthen the coverage rate of 2 doses of mumps vaccination for school-age children and, simultaneously, strengthen the monitoring and prevention of mumps in key places to avoid outbreaks.

Abstract
With the discovery of two-dimensional (2D) ferroelectric materials such as CuInP2S6andα-In2Se3, the ferroelectric field effect transistors (Fe-FETs) based on these materials have entered a rapid-development period. The metal/semiconductor contact is an unavoidable topic in the construction of devices. In this paper, heterostructuresα-In2Se3/metals (Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag and Au) are discussed. According to different stacking types, the structures and energy of 160 heterostructures are calculated and compared. Whenα-In2Se3contacts with the Pd, Pt and Cu, theα-In2Se3may transforms intoβ-In2Se3. This phenomenon has hardly been mentioned or analyzed in previous reports. Contacting with the Au and Ag, theα-In2Se3maintains the original structure. The internal physical mechanism of phase transition is explained from the binding energy and the charge transfer. The paper provides sufficient theoretical support for research and development of the Fe-FETs based onα-In2Se3.

Abstract
Objective: To predict and analyze the incidence trend of mumps using the Autoregressive integrated moving average model (ARIMA) in Jiangxi Province. Methods: The ARIMA was used to model the number of mumps cases per month from 2015 to 2019 in Jiangxi Province. The number of mumps cases in 12 months was predicted and was compared with the actual reported cases in 2020, 2021, and 2022, respectively. Results: The optimal model was ARIMA (0,2,1)(1,2,0)12. The predicted number of cases was significantly higher than that reported in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The number of reported cases of mumps in 2020, 2021, and 2022 decreased by 54.02%, 63.40%, and 66.09% compared with the forecast. Conclusions: From 2020 to 2022, the reported incidence of mumps in Jiangxi Province was significantly lower than the predicted incidence. Considering that it was related to non-drug intervention measures and changes in immunization strategies, it was suggested to strengthen mumps surveillance further to better cope with the epidemic situation of mumps.

Abstract
Objectives: Microvascular obstruction (MVO) is a specific cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging feature in patients with acute myocardial infarction. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the predictive value of MVO in left ventricular adverse remodeling after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods: A total of 167 patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI in the Chinese PLA General Hospital from 2016 to 2020 were enrolled in this prospective cohort study, the average age of study patients was 57±10 years old, with 151 males (90.4%) and 16 females (9.6%). The patients were divided into the MVO group (n=81) and non-MVO group (n=86) according to the presence or absence of MVO on CMR imaging, respectively. The primary endpoint of the study was the occurrence of left ventricular adverse remodeling, which was defined as an increase in left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV) by >20% at 6 months after primary PCI compared with the baseline. Patients who completed follow-up were diagnosed as left ventricular adverse remodeling or no left ventricular adverse remodeling according to CMR. The baseline data, perioperative data, and related data of end points were compared between the MVO group and non-MVO group. Finally, the predictive value of MVO in left ventricular adverse remodeling was calculated by receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. Results: In the baseline data, preoperative thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) flow (χ2=13.74, P=0.003) and postoperative TIMI flow (χ2=14.87, P=0.001) were both obviously decreased in the MVO group. After 6 months of follow-up, the incidence of left ventricular adverse remodeling in the MVO group was significantly higher than that in the non-MVO group [37.0%(27/73) vs. 18.9%(14/74), χ2=5.96, P=0.015]. The left ventricular end systolic volume at 6 months post infarction in the MVO group was significantly larger than that in the non-MVO group [(94±32) vs. (68±20) ml, t=-5.98, P<0.001], as well as the LVEDV [(169±38) vs. (143±29) ml, t=-4.74, P<0.001]. Receiver operating characteristic curve showed that the area under the curve of MVO size for predicting left ventricular adverse remodeling was 0.637. Conclusion: The risk of left ventricular adverse remodeling is significantly increased in patients with MVO after primary PCI for acute STEMI.

Synchrotron-based x-ray microtomography (S-µCT) is a powerful non-invasive three-dimensional (3D) imaging technique used for visualizing the internal structure of objects with micron-scale spatial resolution. However, in practical applications, ring artifacts often occur in S-µCT, which significantly degrades image quality and hinders interpretation. In this study, we propose a ring artifact correction method based on guided image filtering (GIF). The method first extracts structural prior from the input S-µCT images and then uses it as the guidance image to correct the ring artifacts. Finally, GIF with a self-guidance image is employed to further enhance image quality. Extensive comparisons and analyses on simulations and real data experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is capable of effectively correcting ring artifacts, accompanied by low-dose noise suppression and sparse-view artifact reduction. These findings suggest that the proposed method has great potential to promote the wider applications of S-µCT in the future.

Abstract
Natural compounds are rich in pharmacological properties that are a hot topic in pharmaceutical research. The quinoline ring plays important roles in many biological processes in heterocycles. Many pharmacological compounds, including saquinavir and chloroquine, have been marketed as quinoline molecules with good anti-viral and anti-parasitic properties. Therefore, in this review, we summarize the medicinal chemistry of quinoline-modified natural product quinoline derivatives that were developed by several research teams in the past 10 years and find that these compounds have inhibitory effects on bacteria, viruses, parasites, inflammation, cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and others.

Abstract
BACKGROUND N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation regulators have been implicated in the carcinogenesis and progress of a variety of cancers. Until now, the effects of them on intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) have been poorly understood. METHODS We used the GEO databases to systematically evaluate the expression profiles of 36 m6A RNA methylation regulators in ICC patients and produced a signature to assess its prognostic values. In vitro experiments were implemented to confirm the expression level. RESULTS Compared to normal intrahepatic bile duct tissues, more than half of these 36 genes showed different levels of expression in ICC tissues. Two groups emerged from the consensus cluster analysis of these 36 genes. The two cluster of patients had significantly different clinical outcomes. In addition, we created a m6A-related prognostic signature that performed exceptionally well in the prognostic categorization of ICC patients, based on the ROC curves, Kaplan-Meier curves, and univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. Further research showed that there was a significant association between the m6A-related signature and the manifestations of tumor immune microenvironment in ICC. The expression level and biological effect of METTL16, one of the two m6A RNA methylation regulators incorporated in the signature, were confirmed and explored by using in vitro experiments. CONCLUSIONS This analysis revealed the predictive roles of m6A RNA methylation regulators in ICC.

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the safety and efficacy of a second allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) with reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC) in patients with hematological malignancies who had relapsed after the first allo-HSCT. Methods: Between April 2018 and June 2021, 44 patients with hematological malignancies (B-ALL 23, T-ALL/T-LBL 4, AML15, and MDS 2) were enrolled and retrospectively examined. Unrelated donors (n=12) or haploidentical donors (n=32) were used. Donors were replaced in all patients for the second allo-HSCT. Hematological and immunological germline predisposition genes and hematopoietic and immune function tests were used to select the best-related donor. Total body irradiation (TBI) /fludarabine (FLU) -based (n=38), busulfan (BU) /FLU-based (n=4), total marrow irradiation (TMI) /FLU-based (n=1), and BU/cladribine-based (n=1) were the RIC regimens used. For graft versus host disease (GVHD) prevention, cyclosporine, mycophenolate mofetil, short-term methotrexate, and ATG were used. Eighteen (40.9%) of 44 patients with gene variations for which targeted medications are available underwent post-transplant maintenance therapy. Results: The median age was 25 years old (range: 7-55). The median interval between the first and second HSCT was 19.5 months (range: 6-77). Before the second allo-HSCT, 33 (75%) of the patients were in complete remission (CR), whereas 11 (25%) were not. All patients had long-term engraftment. The grade Ⅱ-Ⅳ GVHD and severe acute GVHD rates were 20.5% and 9.1%, respectively. Chronic GVHD was found in 20.5% of limited patterns and 22.7% of severe patterns. CMV and EBV reactivation rates were 29.5% and 6.8%, respectively. Hemorrhage cystitis occurred in 15.9% of cases, grade Ⅰ or Ⅱ. The 1-yr disease-free survival (DFS), overall survival (OS), and cumulative recurrence incidence (RI) rates of all patients were 72.5% (95% CI, 54.5%-84.3%), 80.6% (95% CI, 63.4%-90.3%), and 25.1% (95% CI, 13.7%-43.2%), respectively, with a median follow-up of 14 (2-39) months. There were eight deaths (seven relapses and one infection). The rate of non-relapse mortality (NRM) was only 2.3%. The CR patients' 1-yr RI rate was significantly lower than the NR patients (16.8% vs 48.1%, P=0.026). The DFS rate in CR patients was greater than in NR patients, although there was no statistical difference (79.9% vs 51.9%, P=0.072). Univariate analysis revealed that CR before the second allo-HSCT was an important prognostic factor. Conclusion: With our RIC regimens, donor change, and post-transplant maintenance therapy, the second allo-HSCT in relapsed hematological malignancies after the first allo-HSCT is a safe and effective treatment with high OS and DFS and low NRM and relapse rate. The most important factor influencing the prognosis of the second allo-HSCT is the patient's illness condition before the transplant.

Abstract
Two-dimensional (2D) 1T-PtS2 has been drawing considerable attention due to its highly layer-dependent bandgap, high carrier mobility, superior air stability, etc. However, the growth of 2D PtS2 with uniform thickness and controllable shape remains an immense challenge. Herein, the uniform bilayer (2L) 1T-PtS2 single crystals are controllably grown on mica using chemical vapor deposition for the first time. The variable morphology from triangular to hexagonal can be obtained by regulating growth temperature. Significantly, the 2L PtS2 flakes show a good electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) property with an overpotential of 184 mV at 10 mA cm-2, Tafel slope of 81 mV dec-1, exchange current density of 43 μA cm-2, and outstanding stability. This work manifests that 2D PtS2 is a promising candidate for HER applications.

Abstract
Two new iridoid glycosides, named 3'-O-benzoyl-dolichocymboside D (1) and dolichocymboside E (2), along with ten known glycosides (3-12), were isolated from the ethanol extract of the whole plants of Odontites vulgaris Moench. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS spectra and by comparison with those reported in the literature. This is the first report on compounds 11 and 12 isolated from the family Scrophulariaceae, and compounds 8-10 were isolated from the genus Odontites.

Abstract
The rapid rise of two-dimensional (2D) materials has aroused increasing interest in the fields of microelectronics and optoelectronics; various types of 2D van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs), especially those based on MoS2, have been widely investigated in theory and experiment. However, the interfacial properties of MoS2 and the uncommon crystal surface of traditional three-dimensional (3D) metals are yet to be explored. In this paper, we studied heterostructures composed of MoS2 and metal(001) slabs, based on the first-principles calculations, and we uncovered that MoS2/Au(001) and MoS2/Ag(001) vdWHs reveal Schottky contacts, and MoS2/Cu(001) belongs to Ohmic contact and possesses ultrahigh electron tunneling probability at the equilibrium distance. Thus, the MoS2/Cu(001) heterostructure exhibits the best contact performance. Further investigations demonstrate that external longitudinal strain can modulate interfacial contact to engineer the Schottky-Ohmic contact transition and regulate interfacial charge transport. We believe that it is a general strategy to exploit longitudinal strain to improve interfacial contact performance to design and fabricate a multifunctional MoS2-based electronic device.

Abstract
The ethnobotanical plant Marsdenia tenacissima has been used for hundreds of years for Dai people in Yunnan Province, China. Previously, chemical investigations on this plant have revealed that pregnane glycosides were the main biological constituents. Nine new pregnane glycosides, marsdeosides A–I (1–9), were isolated from cultivated dried stems of the medicinal plant Marsdenia tenacissima in this study. The structures were analyzed by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D, 2D NMR, HRESIMS, and IR spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configurations of the sugar moieties were identified by comparing the Rf values and specific optical rotations with those of the commercially available standard samples and the data reported in the literature. Marsdeosides A (1) featured an unusual 8,14-seco-pregnane skeleton. Compounds 1, 8, and 9 showed activity against nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccharide-activated macrophage RAW264.7, with IC50 values of 37.5, 38.8, and 42.8 μM (L-NMMA was used as a positive control, IC50 39.3 μM), respectively. This study puts the knowledge of the chemical profile of the botanical plant M. tenacissima one step forward and, thereby, promotes the sustainable utilization of the resources of traditional folk medicinal plants.

Abstract
Four ergosterol derivatives, named tricholosterols A-D (1-4), have been isolated from the fruiting bodies of Tricholoma terreum. Their chemical structures have been determined using a combination of spectroscopic analysis as well as computational methods. Compound 1 possesses a rare D-ring opening ergosterol skeleton, while compounds 2-4 are rare degraded ergosterols. Compounds 1 and 4 exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against NO production with IC50 values of 27.6 and 31.8 μM, respectively. This is the first report of steroids from T. terreum.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cervical haemorrhage due to spontaneous rupture of a parathyroid adenoma is a rare complication that may cause life-threatening acute airway compromise.
CASE SUMMARY A 64-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital 1 day after the onset of right neck enlargement, local tenderness, head-turning difficulty, pharyngeal pain, and mild dyspnoea. Repeat routine blood testing showed a rapid decrease in the haemoglobin concentration, indicating active bleeding. Enhanced computed tomography images showed neck haemorrhage and a ruptured right parathyroid adenoma. The plan was to perform emergency neck exploration, haemorrhage removal, and right inferior parathyroidectomy under general anaesthesia. The patient was administered 50 mg of intravenous propofol, and the glottis was successfully visualised on video laryngoscopy. However, after the administration of a muscle relaxant, the glottis was no longer visible and the patient had a difficult airway that prevented mask ventilation and endotracheal intubation. Fortunately, an experienced anaesthesiologist successfully intubated the patient under video laryngoscopy after an emergency laryngeal mask placement. Postoperative pathology showed a parathyroid adenoma with marked bleeding and cystic changes. The patient recovered well without complications.
CONCLUSION Airway management is very important in patients with cervical haemorrhage. After the administration of muscle relaxants, the loss of oropharyngeal support can cause acute airway obstruction. Therefore, muscle relaxants should be administered with caution. Anaesthesiologists should pay careful attention to airway management and have alternative airway devices and tracheotomy equipment available.

Abstract
Two-dimensional (2D) all-inorganic double perovskite materials have attracted great interest owing to their unique photoelectric characteristics, such as high quantum efficiency and relative stability. However, few studies have been conducted on the 2D all-inorganic double perovskite Cs3AgBiBr7, and its photoelectric properties are unclear. In this study, we present a detailed investigation of the band structure, optical absorption spectrum, carrier mobility and exciton binding energy of the double perovskite Cs3AgBiBr7 based on the first-principles. The results show that this system has an indirect band gap and low carrier mobility, high exciton binding energy (2041.38 meV) and significant light absorption in the UV region. We also find that the material may be a potential exciton insulation candidate owing to the exciton binding energy beyond the band gap. Our calculated results also show that low dimensional perovskite Cs3AgBiBr7 is more suitable for luminescence than a photovoltaic device. We hope our theoretical results will inspire and promote the experimental exploration of 2D all-inorganic double perovskite materials for photoelectric applications.

Abstract
PURPOSE To introduce a digital workflow for the prediction of facial aesthetics, especially in patients with dentation deformity caused by maxillofacial trauma. METHODS Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and three-dimensional facial scans of patients with radiographic prostheses were collected. The aforementioned data were uploaded to ProPlan CMF software and merged to generate a virtual patient with craniofacial hard tissue, realistic facial soft tissue, and remaining dentition. The radiographic prostheses were scanned to form a digital cast, which was fitted with its CBCT image to create the virtual prostheses. Postoperative facial soft tissue was simulated according to the movement of the virtual prostheses. An appropriate virtual diagnostic prosthesis plan was selected by the patient and dentist. Subsequently, prosthetically driven implant guide and restoration were designed and fabricated. CONCLUSIONS A virtual patient was successfully constructed. A 4-mm protrusion of the virtual prosthesis was chosen. Subsequently, implant surgery was performed, and dental prostheses were fabricated based on this location. The fusion of the postoperative facial scan and preoperative facial prediction was found to be coincident. This technique can effectively predict facial aesthetic features of patients with maxillofacial trauma, facilitate communication with patients, reduce chairside time, and guide the multidisciplinary design of implant placement and restoration fabrication.

Abstract
The infections in open fracture induce high morbidity worldwide. Thus, developing efficient anti-infective orthopedic devices is of great significance. In this work, we designed a kind of infection-responsive long-term antibacterial bone plates. Through a facile and flexible volatilization method, a multi-aldehyde polysaccharide derivative, oxidized sodium alginate, was crosslinked with multi-amino compounds, gentamycin and gelatin, to fabricate a uniform coating on Ti bone plates via Schiff base reaction, which was followed by a secondary crosslinking process by glutaraldehyde. The double-crosslinked coating was stable under normal condition, and could responsively release gentamycin by the triggering of the acidic microenvironment caused by bacterial metabolism, owning to the pH-responsiveness of imine structure. The thickness of the coating was ranging from 22.0 μm to 63.6 μm. The coated bone plates (Ti-GOGs) showed infection-triggered antibacterial properties (>99%) and high biocompatibility. After being soaked for five months, it still possessed efficient antibacterial ability, showing its sustainable antibacterial performance. The in vivo anti-infection ability was demonstrated by an animal model of infection after fracture fixation (IAFF). At the early stage of IAFF, Ti-GOGs could inhibit the bacterial infection (>99%). Subsequently, Ti-GOGs could promote recovery of fracture of IAFF. This work provides a convenient and universal strategy for fabrication of various antibacterial orthopedic devices, which is promising to prevent and treat IAFF.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the diversity and composition of microflora in laboratory-reared Aedes albopictus at different developmental stages and larval habitat waters. METHODS The larval habitat waters and different developmental stages of laboratory-reared A. albopictus were collected, and the V3 and V4 regions of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene were sequenced using Illumina Miseq next-generation sequencing. The abundance and diversity of the microflora were examined using alpha diversity index in A. albopictus at different developmental stages, and the difference in the microflora compositions was compared in A. albopictus at different developmental stages using principal component analysis (PCA). In addition, the species composition and relative abundance of microflora in A. albopictus at different developmental stages were described using histograms and Venn diagrams. RESULTS A total of 16 phyla, 30 classes, 72 orders, 129 families and 224 genera of bacteria were detected in larval habitat waters and different developmental stages of A. albopictus. The highest bacterial diversity was seen in larval A. albopictus, with Chao index of 125.20 ± 30.48 and Shannon diversity index of 2.04 ± 0.39, which were comparable to those (Chao index of 118.52 ± 15.07 and Shannon diversity index of 2.15 ± 0.30) in larval habitat waters (t = 0.35 and -0.41, both P values > 0.05). The bacterial abundance and evenness were significantly greater in female adults than in male adults (Chao index: 42.50 ± 3.54 vs. 18.50 ± 2.13, t = 8.23, P < 0.05; Shannon diversity index: 1.25 ± 1.67 vs. 0.50 ± 0.05, t = 6.00, P < 0.05). Proteobacteria, Bacteroidota, Actinobacteriota and Finnicutes were four common phyla of bacteria at each developmental stage of A. albopictus, with Proteobacteria dominated at the pupal stage (90.36%), Bacteroidota dominated at the adult stage (46.01% in female adults and 86.11% in male adults), and Actinobacteriota dominated at the larval stage (32.10%). Elizabethkingia and Rahnella 1 were common dominant genera of bacteria at each developmental stage of A. albopictus, with Rahnellal as the major component at the pupal stage (87.56%), Elizabethkingia as the main component at the adult stage (46.01% in female adults and 86.11% in male adults, respectively), and Microbacteria as the dominant bacterial genus at the larval stage (12.11%). In addition, Delftia, Elizabethkingia, Romboutsia, Serratia, Rahnella 1, Enterococcus and Microbacterium were common genera of bacteria at each developmental stage of A. albopictus, with Edaphobaculum dominated at the larval stage (17.54%) and Sphingobacterium dominated in larval habitat waters (13.93%). CONCLUSIONS There are differences in the composition of symbiotic bacteria at different developmental stages of A. albopictus; however, similar microflora diversity is maintained at the phylum level. The microflora diversity is comparable in larvae and larval habitat waters of A. albopictus.

Abstract
PURPOSE To compare the mid- to long-term clinical and radiological outcomes of the confluent L-shaped tunnel technique with the Y-graft technique for anatomic lateral ankle ligament reconstruction. METHODS This retrospective study involved 41 patients who underwent lateral ankle ligament reconstruction between 2013 and 2018. Based on the tunnel direction and tendon fixation method at the fibula side, patients were divided into two groups, with 17 patients in the L-shaped tunnel group and 24 patients in the Y-graft group. The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score, Tegner score, and Karlsson score were evaluated and compared preoperatively and at follow-up. Anterior talar translation and talar tilt at stress radiographs, postoperative sprain recurrence, range of motion (ROM) restriction, sensory disturbance, etc., were also collected and compared. RESULTS The mean follow-up times were 72 and 42 months for the L-shaped group and Y-graft group, respectively. The median VAS pain score, Tegner score, AOFAS score, Karlsson score significantly improved from a preoperative level in both groups (all with p < 0.01). No significant difference was found between the two groups regarding the changes from preoperatively to postoperatively except for the VAS pain score reduction (1.58 ± 1.58 in the L-shaped group vs. 2.53 ± 1.29 in the Y-graft group, p = 0.035). The incidence of flexion-extension ROM restriction (≥ 5°) was significantly higher in the Y-graft group (41.2%) than in the L-shaped group (12.5%) (p = 0.035). CONCLUSIONS Both the confluent L-shaped tunnel technique and the Y-graft technique significantly improved symptoms, ankle function, and radiographic outcomes in patients with chronic lateral ankle instability (CLAI) at mid- to long-term follow-up. The confluent L-shaped tunnel technique resulted in lower rates of flexion-extension ROM restriction, while the Y-graft technique showed better VAS pain reduction. This result could provide further evidence for the surgical treatment of CLAI. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE III.

Abstract
The intercalated disc (ICD) is unique membrane structure that is indispensable to normal heart function. However, its structural organization is not well understood. Previously, we showed that the ICD-bound transmembrane protein 65 (Tmem65) was required for connexin 43 (Cx43) localization in cultured mouse neonatal cardiomyocytes. Here, we investigated the role of Tmem65 in ICD organization
in vivo
. A mouse model was established by injecting CD1 mouse pups (3-7 days after birth) with recombinant adeno-associated virus 9 (rAAV9) harboring Tmem65 (or scrambled) shRNA. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and immunoblots confirmed greater than 85% reduction in Tmem65 expression (7.1±0.7% remained for Tmem65 proteins; 14.4±2.5% remained for Tmem65 transcripts,
n
=4) in mouse ventricles compared to control hearts. Tmem65 knockdown (KD) mice exhibited heart failure-like symptoms as early as 3 weeks post viral administration. Specifically, Tmem65 KD mice developed eccentric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in 3 weeks and dilated cardiomyopathy with severe cardiac fibrosis in 7 weeks, as confirmed by H&E and Masson’s Trichrome staining. Echocardiography and electrocardiography, respectively, showed depressed hemodynamics (19.27±1.46ml/min for cardiac output in control hearts vs. 6.63±0.52ml/min for Tmem65 KD hearts,

Immunoprecipitation and super-resolution microscopy confirmed the physical interaction and localization between Tmem65 and voltage-gated sodium channel β subunit (β1) at the ICD and this interaction was evidently required for the establishment of perinexal nanodomains and voltage-gated sodium channel 1.5 (NaV1.5) localization to the ICD. Abstract
Ginger, as a food spice, is widely applied due to its extensive effects. Cedrol (CE) found in ginger is a sesquiterpene with anti-inflammatory activity. The objective of this research is to discuss the efficacy of CE on ameliorating rheumatoid arthritis (RA). CE inhibited chronic inflammation and pain in a dose-dependent manner accompanied by rapid onset and long duration. Besides, CE treatment effectively ameliorated the paw edema volume and arthritis score with no significant effect on body weight. Organ index, T-cell and B-cell proliferation, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry demonstrated that CE had immunological enhancement and attenuated RA effects. Remarkably, inhibition of phosphorylated-JAK3 protein, thereby abating the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and inflammation-related mediators, was involved in the potential mechanism of CE efficiency through forming a hydrogen bond with ARG953 and ILE955 in the JAK3 active pocket. At the same time, the pharmacokinetic results showed that the absolute bioavailability of CE at 20, 40, and 80 mg/kg was 30.30, 23.68, and 16.11%, respectively. The current results offered clues for mastering the ameliorated RA of CE and further perfected the effective substance basis on the anti-inflammatory effect of ginger, which was beneficial for further applications.

Abstract
25-Hydroxylprotopanaxadiol-3β, 12β, 20-triol (25-OH-PPD or AD-2) belongs to dammarane ginsenoside, and is commonly obtained from the acidic hydrolysate of total ginsensides of Panax ginseng. This study investigated the potential mechanism of AD-2 toward improving thioacetamide (TAA)-induced hepatic fibrosis in mice. Mice were divided into seven groups: control group, TAA model group, TAA + AD-2 (5, 10, and 20 mg/kg) groups, TAA + silymarin (100 mg/kg) group, and TAA + Fu Fang Biejia (FFBj; 300 mg/kg) group. All mice were treated to intraperitoneal TAA injection to establish a hepatic fibrosis model, and drugs were administered orally. The mechanism and related pathways underlying the AD-2-mediated action against hepatic fibrosis were explored by Western blotting and immunohistochemical staining. After AD-2 treatment, the expression levels of Lipin-1, SREBP1, and F4/80 significantly decreased, meanwhile the protein expressions levels of IL1β, IL1R1, IL18, Bax, Bid, Bcl-2, and cFlips also decreased. Furthermore, AD-2 inhibited RAF and MEK pathways. The results demonstrate that AD-2 can alleviate hepatic fibrosis. The mechanism is likely related to the regulation of lipid accumulation, inflammatory response, apoptosis pathway, and Raf-MEK signaling pathways, which provide a basis for clinical research for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Ginsenoside is one of the main active ingredients of ginseng, and can alleviate the symptoms of various diseases, for example, hepatic fibrosis. This paper mainly used Western blotting to explore its possible mechanism of action. The goal was to provide a reference for the development of traditional Chinese medicines for hepatic fibrosis.

Abstract
Connexin-40 (Cx40) and Cx43 are the principal components of gap junctions. Dysregulation of connexin expression is clinically related to cardiac pathologies. 25-Hydroxy protopanaxadiol [25-OH-PPD, 20 (R)-dammarane-3β, 12β, 20, 25-tetrol], known as AD2, is a novel protopanaxadiol extracted from Panax ginseng that exhibits many pharmacological activities, but its effects on cardiac gap junctions are poorly understood. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of AD2 on angiotensin II (Ang II)-induced Cx40 and Cx43 dysregulation. In this study, isolated beating rat atria were perfused with Ang II (5 μM) for 1 h to induce Cx40 and Cx43 dysregulation. The effects of AD2 (1.6, 16, and 160 μg/100 g body weight) on Ang II-induced hemodynamics in rats were analyzed by biological recorder, and changes in proteins levels were analyzed by western blotting. The results showed that AD2 ameliorated Ang II-induced hyper hemodynamics and abnormal P-waves, and prevented fibrotic collagen deposition (3.77% ± 1.64%-26.31% ± 1.64% with Ang II, 5.76% ± 0.94% with AD2). Ang II upregulated expression of nuclear factor kappa B, activator protein 1, and transforming growth factor β1, and downregulated of Cx40 and Cx43 expression, which were inhibited by AD2 concomitantly with increased of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) expression via liver kinase B1 activation. The present findings suggest that AD2 inhibited Ang II-induced dysregulation of Cx40 and Cx43 via activation of AMPK signaling, thus highlighting the promise and utility of AD2 for treatment of connexin dysregulation-related heart disease.

Abstract
Objective: To explore a modified CT scoring system, its feasibility for disease severity evaluation and its predictive value in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Methods: This study was a multi-center retrospective cohort study. Patients confirmed with COVID-19 were recruited in three medical centers located in Beijing, Wuhan and Nanchang from January 27, 2020 to March 8, 2020. Demographics, clinical data, and CT images were collected. CT were analyzed by two emergency physicians of more than ten years' work experience independently through a modified scoring system. Final score was determined by average score from the two reviewers if consensus was not reached. The lung was divided into 6 zones (upper, middle, and lower on both sides) by the level of trachea carina and the level of lower pulmonary veins. The target lesion types included ground-glass opacity (GGO), consolidation, overall lung involvement, and crazy-paving pattern. Bronchiectasis, cavity, pleural effusion, etc., were not included in CT reading and analysis because of low incidence. The reviewers evaluated the extent of the targeted patterns (GGO, consolidation) and overall affected lung parenchyma for each zone, using Likert scale, ranging from 0-4 (0=absent; 1=1%-25%; 2=26%-50%; 3=51%-75%; 4=76%-100%). Thus, GGO score, consolidation score, and overall lung involvement score were sum of 6 zones ranging from 0-24. For crazy-paving pattern, it was only coded as absent or present (0 or 1) for each zone and therefore ranging from 0-6. Results: A total of 197 patients from 3 medical centers and 522 CT scans entered final analysis. The median age of the patients was 64 years, and 54.8% were male. There were 76(38.8%) patients had hypertension and 30(15.3%) patients had diabetes mellitus. There were 75 of the patients classified as moderate cases, as well as 95 severe cases and 27 critical cases. As initial symptom, dry cough occurred in 170 patients, 134 patients had fever, and 125 patients had dyspnea. Reparatory rate, oxygen saturation, lymphocyte count and CURB 65 score on admission day varied among patients with different disease severity scale. There were 50 of the patients suffered from deterioration during hospital stay. The median time consumed for each CT by clinicians was 86.5 seconds. Cronbach's alpha for GGO, consolidation, crazy-paving pattern, and overall lung involvement between two clinicians were 0.809, 0.712, 0.678, and 0.906, respectively, showing good or excellent inter-rater correlation. There were 193 (98.0%) patients had GGO, 147 (74.6%) had consolidation, and 126(64.0%) had crazy-paving pattern throughout clinical course. Bilateral lung involvement was observed in 183(92.9%) patients. Median time of interval for CT scan in our study was 7 days so that the whole clinical course was divided into stages by week for further analysis. From the second week on, the CT scores of various types of lesions in severe or critically patients were higher than those of moderate cases. After the fifth week, the course of disease entered the recovery period. The CT score of the upper lung zones was lower than that of other zones in moderate and severe cases. Similar distribution was not observed in critical patients. For moderate cases, the ground glass opacity score at the second week had predictive value for the escalation of the severity classification during hospitalization. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.849, the best cut-off value was 5 points, with sensitivity of 84.2% and specificity of 75.0%. Conclusions: It is feasible for clinicians to use the modified semi-quantitative CT scoring system to evaluate patients with COVID-19. Severe/critical patients had higher scores for ground glass opacity, consolidation, crazy-paving pattern, and overall lung involvement than moderate cases. The ground glass opacity score in the second week had an optimal predictive value for escalation of disease severity during hospitalization in moderate patients on admission. The frequency of CT scan should be reduced after entering the recovery stage.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Perilla seed oil (PSO) is the main constituent of perilla seeds currently being used in the food industry, however it also has great clinical potential in the regulation of lung function as a nutrition supplement because of the high content of α-linolenic acid (ALA). In this study, the pharmacological activities including anti-tussive, expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect of PSO were performed. Furthermore, the 90-day sub-chronic oral toxicity with a 30 day recovery period was evaluated in Wistar rats. RESULTS The pharmacological studies demonstrated that PSO inhibited cough frequency induced by capsaicine in mice. PSO also inhibited the leukotriene B4 (LTB4) release from the calcium ionophore A23187-induced polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) to some extent. In this sub-chronic toxicity study, mortality, clinical signs, body weight, food consumption, hematology, serum biochemistry, urinalysis, organ weight, necropsy, and histopathology were used to evaluate the toxicity of PSO. Lower body weight and various negative impacts on liver related parameters without histopathological lesion were observed in the 16 g kg-1 groups. No clinically significant changes were discovered in the 4 g kg-1 group during the test period. CONCLUSION In summary, PSO exhibited anti-tussive and anti-inflammatory activities in vivo and in vitro. These sub-chronic toxicity studies inferred that the 'no-observed adverse effect level' (NOAEL) of PSO in Wistar rats was determined to be 4 g kg-1 . These results may provide a safety profile and a valuable reference for the use of PSO. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
目的 分析伴血小板减少原发性抗磷脂综合征(PAPS)的临床特征、与血小板减少相关的危险因素以及疾病复发风险。 方法 回顾性分析2009年至2019年间于北京协和医院住院治疗的PAPS患者,比较血小板减少(PLT<100×109/L)和血小板正常患者的临床和实验室检查结果,分析血小板减少患者的临床特征和未来症状再发风险,并应用单因素和多因素Logistic回归分析筛选血小板减少的危险因素。 结果 纳入127例PAPS患者,其中36例(28.3%)合并血小板减少,中位年龄38.0(28.5,51.5)岁,女性占63.9%(13/23),平均血小板计数为(58.9±27.0)×109/L。与血小板正常组(91例)相比,血小板减少组血栓及病理性妊娠发生率差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),自身免疫性溶血性贫血(19.4%对3.3%)、网状青斑(16.7%对3.3%)、慢性肾脏病变(25%对8.8%)、抗磷脂(aPL)抗体三阳性(61.1%对37.4%)发生率均显著增加(P<0.05),补体C3、C4水平显著降低(C3 0.87 g/L对1.07 g/L,C4 0.12 g/L对0.18 g/L,P值均<0.05),中位改良APS总体评分(aGAPSS)显著升高(13分对9分,P=0.037)。多因素Logistic回归分析显示,低补体血症(OR=5.032,95%CI 3.118~22.095)是发生血小板减少的危险因素。 结论 PAPS患者血小板减少多为轻中度降低。低补体血症是血小板减少的危险因素。伴血小板减少的PAPS患者再发风险较高。

Abstract
The smoking cessation rate of 1 314 people at high risk of lung cancer in the area of lung cancer screening and early diagnosis and early treatment in Sichuan Province increased from 22.37% at baseline to 41.78% after screening (χ²=227.97, P<0.001), and the smoking amount of persistent smokers decreased from 20 cigarettes per day to 15 cigarettes per day (t=11.76, P<0.001). Those with positive results in lung cancer screening were more likely to quit smoking or continue to quit smoking. Male, younger age or lower education level would increase the risk of continuous smoking or relapse (P<0.05).

Abstract
Land plants live in a crisis-filled environment and the fluctuation of sunlight intensity often causes damage to photosynthetic apparatus. Phyto-melatonin is an effective bioactive molecule that helps plants to resist various biotic and abiotic stresses. In order to explore the role of melatonin under high light stress, we investigated the effects of melatonin on anti-oxidative system and photosynthesis of Arabidopsis thaliana under high light. Results showed that exogenous melatonin increased photosynthetic rate and protected photosynthetic proteins under high light. This was mainly owing to the fact that exogenous melatonin effectively decreased the accumulation of reactive oxygen species and protected integrity of membrane and photosynthetic pigments, and reduced cell death. Taken together, our study promoted more comprehensive understanding in the protective effects of exogenous melatonin under high light.

Abstract
Ginseng has been used as a functional food and tonic for enhancing immune power. Here, the potential protective effect of 20S-protopanaxatriol (M4), the metabolite of protopanaxatriol, against hepatic fibrosis is investigated, which could provide nutritional interventions for disease treatment. M4 could inhibit extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition and reduce the levels of proinflammatory cytokines such as caspase 1, interleukin 1 β (IL-1β), interleukin 1 receptor type 1 (IL1R1), and interleukin 6 (IL-6). M4 also significantly increased the expression of farnesoid X receptor (FXR), suppressed the purinergic ligand-gated ion channel 7 receptor (P2X7r) signaling pathway, and works as an FXR agonist, GW4064. In thioacetamide (TAA)-induced mice, M4 could attenuate the histopathological changes and significantly regulate the expression levels of FXR and P2X7r. M4 ameliorated TAA-induced hepatic fibrosis due to the reduction of P2X7r secretion, inhibition of hepatic stellate cell (HSCs) activation, and inflammation, which were all associated with FXR activation. Hence, M4 might be useful a nutritional preventive approach in antihepatic fibrosis and antihepatic inflammation.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the application value of heparin binding protein (HBP) in the diagnosis of severe infection in patients with silicosis. Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 150 patients with silicosis in the pneumoconiosis department of the General Hospital of Xuzhou Mining Group from January 2017 to March 2018. Among them, 100 were severely infected with silicosis and 50 were non-infected with silicosis. 30 patients were selected in the same period of physical examination as the control group. HBP, C-reactive protein (CRP) , procalcitonin(PCT) , white blood cell count (WBC) , neutrophil percentage, and absolute neutrophil count(ANC) were detected in all participants. Using the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) to analyze the diagnostic value of indicator above in patients with different stages of severe silicosis infection. Results: Plasma HBP levels in patients with severely infected silicosis group[(50.39±35.64) ng/ml] were higher than those in the non-infected group[(10.71±1.47) ng/ml] and the control group[(9.24±1.83) ng/ml] (P<0.05) , and with the increase of silicosis stages, there is an increasing trend (P<0.05). The ROC curve showed that the AUC of HBP in the patients with severe silicosis in the first, second, and third stages were 0.932, 0.977, and 0.964, which were higher than those of WBC, CRP, and PCT. Correlation analysis showed that HBP was positively correlated with WBC, CRP and PCT (r=0.711, 0.359, 0.729, P<0.01). Conclusion: HBP has high diagnostic efficacy in the diagnosis of severe infections in patients with silicosis, which may become a clinical screening indicator for severe infections in patients with silicosis and an auxiliary examination indicator for the stage of silicosis patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and coagulation characteristics in patients with critical Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and acro-ischemia. Methods: The retrospective study included 7 critical COVID-19 patients with acro-ischemia in an intensive care unit (ICU) in Wuhan, from Feb 4 to Feb 15, 2020. The clinical and laboratory data before and during the ICU stay were analyzed. Results: The median age of 7 patients was 59 years and 4 of them were men. Three patients were associated with underlying comorbidities. Fever, cough, dyspnea and diarrhea were common clinical symptoms. All patients had acro-ischemia presentations including finger/toe cyanosis, skin bulla and dry gangrene. D-dimer, fibrinogen and fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) were significantly elevated in most patients. Prothrombin time was prolonged in 4 patients. D-dimer and FDP levels progressively elevated consistent with COVID-2019 exacerbation. Four patients were diagnosed with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) . Low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) was administrated in 6 patients, which reduced D-dimer and FDP rather than improved clinical symptoms. Five patients died finally and the median time from acro-ischemia to death was 12 days. Conclusions: Coagulation parameters should be monitored closely in critical COVID-2019 patients. The timing and protocol of anticoagulation therapy are still under investigation based on more clinical data.

Abstract
Metal doping, including Bi, Yb, Eu, Sb and so on, are important means to improve the photoelectric properties and stability of metal halide perovskite materials. Among these works, Bi-doped CsPbBr3 especially has attracted much attention for both experimental and theoretical investigation. But there are still some arguments to be solved. One view thinks that Bi doping in CsPbBr3 not only influences the band structure, but also improves the charge transfer (Raihana et al 2017 J. Am. Chem. Soc. 139 731-7). The other supported the points that there are no changes in the valence band structure of Bi-doped CsPbBr3 and the concept of the band-gap engineering in Bi-doped CsPbBr3 halide perovskite is not valid (Olga et al 2018 J. Phys. Chem. Lett. 9 5408-11). They also have different opinions for the reason of the red-shift phenomenon caused by Bi-doped CsPbBr3. In this work, the density functional theory (DFT) based first-principles methods is adopted to investigate the effect of the optical properties and electronic structure for Bi doping CsPbBr3. The calculated results clarify that the red-shift phenomenon is caused by the slight reduction of band gap and the transition levels of Bii and BiPb defects. The values of red-shift also were estimated about 150 meV for Bii defects, which is close the experimental value of about 140 meV. Moreover, our studies also show that the Bi doping does not affect the valence bands, but Bii defects change the electron distribution of the conduction band. Our work and experimental results support and confirm each other, which provides a useful reference for the study of Sb-doped CsPbBr3, Eu-doped CsPbBr3 and so on.

Abstract
Both 2D perovskite Cs2PbI4 and phosphorus are significant optoelectronic semiconductor materials, the optical-electrical characters between both contact interfaces are interesting topics. In present work, we demonstrate comparative investigation of optoelectronic properties for two kinds of electrical contact interfaces. i.e. Pb-I and Cs-I interfaces with black phosphorus contacts. The carrier transport, charge transferring and optical properties for both cases are investigated by using first principle calculation. Both contact interfaces exhibit type II band alignment with direct band gap. Charge carrier migration from Cs-I interface to black phosphorus is more strong than that of Pb-I interface by considering differential charge density and bader charge between distinct electrical contact interfaces. Besides, electron-hole effective masses of heterojunctions for both cases along different direction are investigated. Optical absorption coefficients of both cases are compared with those of free-standing Cs2PbI4 and black phosphorus in the visible spectrum. We systematically compared advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of contact interfaces for photovoltaic application, and the results reveal interfacial engineering of 2D heterojunction plays a important role in tuning optoelectronic properties.

Conclusions: The existence of hypercoagulation status in critical COVID-2019 patients should be monitored closely, and anticoagulation therapy can be considered in selected patients. More clinical data is needed to investigate the role of anticoagulation in COVID-2019 treatment.

Abstract
Ultrabroadband mid-frequency infrared photodetectors have important applications in surveillance, medical diagnosis, bioimaging and navigation aids. Thus, researchers hope to detect mid-infrared radiation with larger wavelength. However, due to the limitation of room temperature, it is difficult for these detectors to detect mid-infrared with 4 µm or larger wavelength. Therefore, at room temperature, how to realize mid-infrared detection in a wide range has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, the band structure of SnX2 (X = S,Se)/ZnS and SnS2(1-ŋ)Se2ŋ /ZnS was studied by the density functional theory based first-principles methods. Under the specific stacking procedure, changing the [Formula: see text] of SnS2(1-ŋ)Se2ŋ , the band gap of heterojunctions can be continuously tuned from 0 to 0.97 eV. Amazingly, the band structure maintains the characteristics of a type-II heterojunction. The photodetection in our work is estimated for wavelengths from 1.2 µm to 10 µm, covering a wide wavelength range of mid-infrared. Such a wide range is considerable in current research. The characteristics of type-II band structure and the wide detection range imply that SnX2 /ZnS has great potential in mid-frequency infrared detection. Our work may provide some breakthroughs for the research of multiband photodetectors at room temperature.

Abstract
Biomedical device-associated infection (BAI) is a great challenge in modern clinical medicine. Therefore, developing efficient antibacterial materials is significantly important and meaningful for the improvement of medical treatment and people's health. In the present work, we developed a strategy of surface functionalization for multifunctional antibacterial applications. A functionalized polyurethane (PU, a widely used biomedical material for hernia repairing) surface (PU-Au-PEG) with inherent antifouling and photothermal bactericidal properties was readily prepared based on a near-infrared (NIR)-responsive organic/inorganic hybrid coating which consists of gold nanorods (Au NRs) and polyethylene glycol (PEG). The PU-Au-PEG showed a high efficiency to resist adhesion of bacteria and exhibited effective photothermal bactericidal properties under 808 nm NIR irradiation, especially against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Furthermore, the PU-Au-PEG could inhibit biofilm formation long term. The biocompatibility of PU-Au-PEG was also proved by cytotoxicity and hemolysis tests. The in vivo photothermal antibacterial properties were first verified by a subcutaneous implantation animal model. Then, the anti-infection performance in a clinical scenario was studied with an infected hernia model. The results of animal experiment studies demonstrated excellent in vivo anti-infection performances of PU-Au-PEG. The present work provides a facile and promising approach to develop multifunctional biomedical devices.

Abstract
Fused deposition modelling (FDM) is a commonly used 3D printing technology. The development of FDM materials was essential for the product quality of FDM. In this work, a series of polycaprolactone (PCL)-based composites for low-temperature FDM were developed. By melt blending technique, different ratios of starch were added into PCL to improve the performances of FDM, and the printability, tensile strength, rheological properties, crystallization behaviors and biological performances of the composites were studied. The PCL/starch composite had the best performance in FDM process with the starch ratio of 9 ph at 80–90 °C. The melting strength and solidification rate of PCL/starch composites were improved. The starch also increased the crystallization temperature, degree of crystallinity and crystallization rate of PCL/starch composites, while had no negative effects on the tensile strength of PCL. Due to the low printing temperature, various kinds of bioactive components were added into PCL/starch composites for preparation of antibacterial and biocompatible materials for FDM. The present work provides a new method to develop novel low-temperature FDM materials with various functions. PCL/starch composites for low-temperature fused deposition modelling were developed. The tensile strength, rheological properties and crystallization behaviors of PCL/starch composites were studied. Bioactive components were added to functionalize the composites with antibacterial and biocompatible properties.

Abstract
Electroluminescence devices based on all-inorganic halide perovskite material with excellent luminescence performance have been studied extensively in recent years. However, the important role for the electrodes of electroluminescence devices is payed few attention by theoretical and experimental studies. Appropriate electrodes can reduce the Schottky barrier height to decrease the energy loss, and prevent the metal impurities from diffusing into the perovskite material to generate deep traps levels, which improves the luminous efficiency and lifetime of devices. In this paper, not only the interface effects between CsPbBr3 and common metal electrode (Ag, Au, Ni, Cu and Pt) are studied by first-principle calculations, but also the diffusion effects of metal electrode atom into the CsPbBr3 layer are also explored by nudged elastic band calculations. The calculated results show the metal Ag is more suitable for the cathode for CsPbBr3 electroluminescence devices, while the metal Pt is more applicable for the anode. Based on the overall consideration about the interface effects and diffusion effects of the CsPbBr3-metal electrode junctions, the essential principle is analyzed. The work provides theoretical guidance for how to select the right electrode for the electroluminescence performance of all-inorganic halide perovskite. The critical factor of Schottky barrier height between the electrode and the light-emitting semiconductor, and transition level generated by metal impurities also provide a valuable reference how to select the suitable electrodes for other electroluminescence devices.

Abstract
Recently, the traditional infrared photodetectors (PDs) shows limited application in various areas, due to the narrow band-gap, high cost and even complex manufacturing process. In this situation, scientist have paid much attention to achieve the ultra broadband PDs from the deep ultraviolet to the near infrared. The energy band engineering for two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals heterojunction with free chemical dangling bonds is an effective method to fabricate High-performance Photodetectors. In this work, we employ density functional calculation to construct a type-II CdTe/MoS2 heterostructure and calculate its electronic properties. The results reveal that the CdTe/MoS2 has the narrow band gap of 0.64 eV and electrons transfer from the CdTe to MoS2 layer, which promotes the separation of photogenerated carriers and enhance the photoelectron conversion efficiency. Driven by the smaller band gap, it can respond to near infrared, visible and ultraviolet light, demonstrating it the promising application for solar cell. Furthermore, the analysis of molecules adsorption and band edge alignment indicates that the CdTe/MoS2 is prone to capture H2O and release the H2 molecules, which is conductive to the photocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen generation. Our work suggests that the CdTe/MoS2 heterostructure is a potential candidate as a solar cell and even photocatalyst, and also provides a new sight for experimental and theoretical research to design a highly efficient device.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the level of the core knowledge and related factors of cancer prevention and treatment among residents in the upper gastrointestinal cancer screening areas of Sichuan Province in 2018. Methods: From April to May 2018, a total of 1 386 residents from Chaotian District of Guangyuan, Enyang District of Bazhong, Nanjiang County of Bazhong, Cangxi County of Guangyuan, Shehong County of Suining, Yilong County of Nanchong, Xichong County of Nanchong and Xuanhan County of Dazhou were recruited in this study. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect basic demographic characteristics and the knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment. The level of the core knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment of different population was analyzed. A multivariate linear regression model was performed to analyze the related factors. Results: In total, 80.9% (1 120) of all subjects was 25-64 years old and 48.0% (665) were male. The total number of questions answered by the subjects was 18 018, of which 12 147 were known, and the overall awareness rate among the respondents was 67.42%. The female respondents, respondentsaged 65 years old and over, with junior college education or above, and worked in government institutions had a good performance of the core knowledge (P<0.05), about 70.11% (6 571/9 373), 69.23% (387/559), 76.05% (6 327/8 320), and 77.09% (5 602/7 267) respectively. The results of multivariate linear regression showed that the older the age [β=0.871 (95%CI: 0.623-1.119)], the higher the educational level [β=0.741 (95%CI: 0.540-0.943)], the more questions respondents could know; compared with the workers in government organization and institution, workers in enterprise [β=-2.913 (95%CI:-3.499--2.327)], farming workers [β=-0.635 (95%CI:-1.175--0.095)] and other occupation people [β=-1.126 (95%CI:-1.663--0.589)] could know fewer questions. Conclusion: In 2018, the level of the core knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment among residents in upper gastrointestinal cancer screening areas of Sichuan Province was relatively high. Age, education level and occupation were relevant factors.
